Catherine nodded. "We should take shifts and watch the entrance then," she said. "We've never taken more than a day to complete a mission, but Morphea said nothing about a time limit." She crossed her arms and looked toward the weapons a moment. "We'll keep one spear with each of us at all times."
Tanya and Whisper returned. "There's no telling how deep that cave goes," Tanya reported. She had heard Castle's comment. "And no way of knowing how many we're dealing with. It could be two," she said, and then in a much more serious tone, "It could be twenty."

Ganren spoke in his usual firm voice "Alright is seems we have plan, watch the cave in shifts, and if possible try to see how big the cave is and how many creatures live in there. I'll take the first watch, but I suggest we take our posts in twos, just in case we get ambushed during the watch they can watch each others backs, or one can run for the others. Anyone want to join me for the first watch?".

"I will." Castle spoke up. "I haven't had a chance to get a good look at these things yet." Castle stuffed the ax's handle into his pocket and picked up a spear. "When do you suggest will be a good time to try and get a closer look at the cave? Do you think these things are noturnal?"

Catherine was about to volunteer herself for first watch when Castle took up the offer first. She took a breath and nodded. It was alright. She was being silly anyways.
"I'll take the next watch, with Damion," she said.
Tanya cut in. "No," she said curtly. "Damion is in no condition to watch someone's back." She had a point. Damion was acting like a hopeless wreck. It was almost too cliche... but that was the kind of person he was. Catherine nodded. "Then I'll watch him, instead." She was a bit disappointed that she wouldn't be of any help to the group, but she couldn't just leave him alone.
Tanya turned to address Castle's questions. "I would assume with the frequency of their appearances so far today, that they are not nocturnal. Did you plan on going in while they were asleep, or away? Either prospect could serve as useful." She placed a thumb on each temple and breathed deeply and muttered something to herself. "No one is expendable." It was almost as though she were reminding herself of the fact.
((Only people standing right next to Tanya would have heard what she said.))

Ganren nodded "I was thinking that we start immediately and go through out the night. Any info will be useful to us." Ganren turned to Castle, "I hope your eyes are good at night , I volunteered for the first night shift because my eyes can see a little more than most. Either way we'll have to watch each others backs, we don't know if they or something else stalks the night." Ganren grabs a spear, "Ready when you are."
As Ganren tapped the ground with the butt of the spear he began to realize how strange it was not to be hungry at this point. Normally he would be tired and hungry from not eating all day. He wanted to say something, but noticing everyone doing seeming to be fine also puzzled him even more. 'I'll have to talk about this at some point, but right now we need to continue on, it looks like we can handle this. I just hope the puffball will be as easy as it looks...'

Castle sighed alittle. "I'm ready, but I have no idea where ya'll went, so I'm going to have to follow." The question about the his eyes didn't concern him to much. As long as there's a moon here he can do just find looking out for the creatures. "I think I'll leave the major observing to you. Those creatures won't exactly be camafloged so I'm sure I can see then before the get close, but as far as long distance, unless I have thermal goggles I won't be to much help there."

"Those with good eyes should take the night shift," Tanya said. "The only ones who won't have good night vision would be myself and Castle. It's still a while before dark, I suggest we take the first watch, until the sun sets, then Ganren and Sekenre take over," She paused a moment for comment.
"Our latest watch will be taken by Whisper and Krillo," she finished after there were no objections.
((Note: If there are objections, the last paragraph is void, and I'll erase it.))

"I'm fine with that," as long as that paladin keeps his 'light' to himself', "but first I'd like to see what Krillo has up his branches."
Sekenre looks at Krillo. "Hey! Ya old tree, are you still awake?"
"Of course I'm awake you ill excuse of a magicial."
They both shared a good laugh.
"Yes I will take the night shift with Whisper.
Now, in the natural world, I am able to influence the growth of environment around me, and a most benifical ability is to use roots to trap an enemy. Again that is in the natural world with living....everything. Fortunately for us, I have fused my Night Elf body with a Treant and carry nature with me. By focusing my energies into the arm I can use it to form 'roots' and trap the big one. The only problem with that is I cannot heal during that time; all my focus must be on the trap or it will break and we'll have a much larger problem on our hands. Now another concern I have...even though we have almost certainly decided that the small one is the target if we kill it in the presence of the larger one, it may go into a beastial rage, and again we have a much larger problem. Do not underestimate the fury of a cornered beast." Krillo looks at his treant arm with that last statement. Then he looks at Catherine. "My lady, I beleive that may have answered some questions about me. I am a Night Elf, a nature born, do not confuse me with a Drow or the mana hungry Fallen."

Ganren lifted his spear from the ground."Very well then. One more thing before we go, don't try to get too close while observing, we need to decide when the best time to chance entering the cave, so keep good distance. We should head out." Ganren motioned Castle to follow and quietly moved to the look out position.

"Excuse me my good Paladin, but i do agree with Tanya on the shifts. Allow them to take the first and then you get the first night shift with Sekenre followed by Whisper and I."

(( rofl I need to pay attention more what people post. Thats twice I've overlooked something in the past few days. Sorry. sweatdrop ))
Ganren nodded "Right, you come then, it would be more efficient." He turns to Tanya "Sorry I was in a hurry, I got a little distracted.". Ganren walked off shaking his head 'How can this creatures be threats, they don't appear dangerous at all. Got to play it safe though, if they say its always dangerous I can't forget that.'

Castle looked at the kid next to him. At one point he felt alittle uneasy haver her follow them around like this, but she seems just as strong willed as the rest of the group. Castle gave a nod in agreement, wanting to have a look at these creatures more than ever. "Maybe we should start our shift before it's time for the next one."

When Krillo mentioned the "bestial rage", Whisper let out a bit of a laugh. At least that was the closest human sounding thing one could compare it to. But she made no further comment, and allowed the group to continue their conversation without further interruption.
At Krillo's comment to her, Catherine blushed. "Oh-um," she stammered. "I actually hadn't noticed." She took another good look at him. "You do look a bit like the elves from my word... at least all but that arm of yours." She pointed at it. "Oh, and you're ears," she said, almost as an afterthought, pointing to her own, much shorter ones.
After the rest of the conversation played out, Tanya nodded at Castle, then turned to Ganren.
"Don't think too much," Tanya advised the Paladin. "That's what I'm for." She then turned toward the spot where they went to watch the puff ball before, motioning for Castle to follow.
Catherine smiled. "I really feel like we'll make it this time," she said. "I just get that feeling."
Whisper stood as well as she could--her spine didn't allow for a full standing posture, having spend most of her life on all fours--and walked a little bit after Castle, tugging at his shirt for him to lean down so she could whisper in his ear.
"If she gets a little weird," she said in a low voice. "Just knock her out for a while. She'll return to normal when she wakes up."

Castle rose an eyebrow. "How weird are we talking?" He took a look at the girl, holding his ax right under the blade with most of the handle sticking out.

Whisper glanced at Tanya then looked Castle in the eyes. "I trust you'll know when that time comes," she said. "She can take a good hit, but she's still only 17, so be careful not to kill her, regardless of what she seems to plan to do to you."
With that, Whisper returned to the others. She didn't wait for Castle's reply.
