((say, how fast are your winds?))

As before, Haru would have no knowledge of what is happening outside. Yet while Haru was preparing inside, one does not expect pure idleness outside would they?

Haru Tachibana

~...+ By now? Hurricane force. 300 mph or so. +...~

(4/6 ; 4/6) Empyrean and Cocytus were now two turns away from gaining their maximum power.

(5/3) The golden ball continued to exceed the allotted charge time, and was now giving off faint sparks of light. The stone sphere was now vibrating at a frenzied pace, scattering debris and further breaking it up. The winds around Haru had now formed a vicious cyclone of blue, green, red, and yellow that lifted the sphere into the air and spun it in place. His opponent was indeed foolish to waste THIS much time already. If he was going to counter-attack, he should have done it a LONG time ago, before this much power had amassed. He would pay the price...

Indeed, much time has passed. But perhaps not to Haru's benefit as he may have thought. When dealing with Devonshka, one must think beyond one's own self. For his power, his skills, his experience, and his strategies are something that had been honed and refined over countless milleniums. He is, indeed, a force to be reckened with. And of course, as mentioned before, Haru should not have expected the unknown outside to be idle while he himself, on the inside, created such turbulence. Haru had amassed power yes, but what is power? Power is but a number while true strength is how one uses that power.

After 5 posts time all preparations had been complete. As mentioned before, Devonshka was once trained to be an assassin. If Haru wanted to defeat him he should never have given Devonshka so much time. In Devonshka's point of view, the free gift was indeed well appreciated. Time, at equal prep time Devonshka would, by his skills and experience, come out victor of the race. For he wielded strength, power that is beyond mere numbers. Haru relied heavily on powers but can he survive without being babied by those numbers? To begin, even while Haru is limited in his perception he would realize the first of what has been prepared for him. Do enjoy the completion of... Reality Revolution!!

Without power, without magic, without ki without all supernatural, Haru's first task, is perhaps to get out of his boulder before he suffocates within.

-//Reality Revolution//-
Reality takes control. From this point on, anything supernatural can not occur. Physical bodies may continue to exist (to prevent possibility of instant KO). The weakness of Reality Revolution is: undisclosed. All information may be requested ooc.

Haru Tachibana

( 0/6) Powerful dark magic, indeed. With such a technique in his opponent's arsenal, Cocytus and Empyrean lost their charge and were reduced to mere swords. The dormant swords were useless to Haru now.

Indeed, powerful dark magic was at work....but some things just couldn't be stopped this far in the making. Though Haru's spiritual aura had been sealed, the winds surrounding the boulder as well as the quaking had just waned by a quarter.

From inside the boulder, four different animalistic roars welled up. What was holding back Reality Revolution from working as well as Devonshka had wanted? And what were those frightening roars from inside the boulder?

Number 1. It was not mere dark magic. Number two. It was not even a spell. Number 3. It is not something that can be prevented so easily. Reality Revolution's essence is essentially, to call onto reality for it to rebel against the fantasy that is in gaia. In such, Reality takes control and full effect. It is not to say there is no way to end Reality Revolution. In fact, if Haru had been able to see the process before Reality Revolution took play, he would definately know the method. However, as he had locked himself within an area of limited perception, he would have to first figure it out before he can attempt to end it. Every move has its own weaknesses and flaws. One of the key skills in battle is to find them and exploit them. But does Haru have that skill? Power is but a number in the world of fantasy, True strength is how one uses that power.

Regardless, Haru is still within the boulder and is limited in perception. However, one must ask oneself "Is it wise to give Devonshka more time?..." The first was the river of blood, the second was reality revolution, if this goes on, what would be the third?...

Haru Tachibana

Suddenly, the winds stopped, and the butterflies vanished without a trace. The rock crumbled around Haru as he spread his mighty wings, releasing him from the prison and shooting rocks in a wide radius around him. He had sheathed Cocytus and stood , gripping Empyrean firmly in his left hand and its rather peculiar sheath in his right.

For now, he'd play Devonshka's little game. As far as he saw it, he had the advantage; in the form of a certain Crest he always carried with him. Until now, his opponents had only seen the spiritual manifestation of it.

Indeed it was a rather interesting game. For the moment Haru had escaped the boulders he would realize two immediate things. First is that he is in a "well" of sorts. Looking the space that contained him took on the visual of something similar to that of a test tube. surrounding it were metallic walls that stood high since probably sometime during his escape from the world by means of the boulder. That was the first. The second would be that nine Fr-bullets fired and shot from the top down towards him. Their speeds were extraordinary as they had been sped up by the same means as that used in electromagnetic rail gun technology. The source, of course, would be Souloe Devonshka who seemed to have pulled ropes that triggered the bullets from the rail guns.

Time would definately not allow for Haru to have a good look at up ahead for the bullets would soon meet their mark by the laws of physics, assisted by the magnetic force and the gravitational force.

Indeed a game. Devonshka made a speech while Haru had to face the trap of the bullets below. His speech of course, would only terminate too quickly should there be a need, his body of course would have no trouble acting regardless of his mouth's deploy.

"A game indeed Haru. Directly above you in position and above me in height, there is a shard that is emitting light and darkness from its very core. That is the the medium and the source for which Reality Revolution takes play. Should you destroy it, Reality Revolution will end. However, I have set up for you a trap that is the third, Preemptive Focus. There is more than just power now Haru. Show me your true strength!!"

Haru Tachibana
To hit his body even from above, the bullets had to go first through his wings. All nine bullets heavily impacted Haru's wings, leaving small scorch marks in their wake. But Haru didn't flinch, or even give a cry of pain. His wings were much tougher than that.

His wings were powerful enough to lift his body weight with tiny, almost discernible flaps, giving him the illusion that he was levitating. But with a sudden large and quick flap, a powerful gust of wind sent Haru flying directly upwards with astonishing speeds. Empyrean and its sheath lay in his hands, ready to intercept attacks if needed. Again, Haru would play his game...until he grew tired of it,anyway.

Beauty and shame all mixed into the single event that is the success of the bullets. Were those normal bullets, the wings would most probably have defended as Haru had intended. However, they were Fr-bullets. Fr stands for francium and by viewing it on the periodic table, one would realize that it is the king of alkaline metals. And as an alkaline metal, due to the inate properties of the element, Francium is reactive enough that it will react with even the water of the air to create a synthesis reaction to produce an effect more powerful than:

http://www.i-am-bored.com/bored_link.cfm?link_id=17701

On contact the outershell was ripped to reveal the Fr core inside. If 2 grams of cesium can deal such damage, what about a bullet full of an even stronger form of alkaline metal? no... 9 bullet full such bullets. Such setup was indeed a trap. Big and powerful the wings may be, but against such power even the body beneath would be ripped to shreads without fail. Hence not only would Haru's flight be interrupted but his very victory would be jeapordized.

Devonshka did not wait to see the results of the previous strike. He had no need to. Having used electromagnetic rail guns built using US technology of approximately earth year 2005, these guns have served their purpose.

Without hesitation Devonshka began to punch the air each at 342 m/s aiming directly below towards Haru. This was a move that was already seen before, if Haru could remember, but would the result this time differ than that of the last? Not only was there now no ki to shield Haru, but his wounds, if they didn'tn kill him, exposed himself as a weakness ready to be slaughtered.

Yet with all these time elapse perhaps Haru had caught a glimpse of his opponent. Perhaps. If he did, he would find that this Souloe Devonshka was slightly off, and slightly different than the last time Haru had seen him.

Quote:
Monkey - A tricky style that utilizes a great deal of fakes and pointless moves to confuse and frustrate the opponent. Very strong against the abrasive and predictable Tiger, but distinctly weak against the Snake's pinpoint accuracy; they also encounter difficulty against the Drunken style and vice-versa because of how similar their moves are, making them easier to predict. Probably the most difficult of the common seven to master, but ultimately one of the most potent and, by far, the most fun to watch.

Tiger - A straightforward power-style that utilizes a keen sense of balance and abrupt, powerful strikes coupled with a strong defensive base. Its quick power strikes can usually overcome the trickery of a Drunken master, but the directness of the style usually causes even the most experienced of practitioners to fall victim to the Monkey's antics; they also encounter difficulty against the Dragon style and vice-versa because of their opposite views on offense and defense. "What happens when a Dragon meets a Tiger?" is equivalent to the common phrase, "What happens when an unstoppable force meets an unmovable object?" Commonly seen as the "practical" style, this force-based art truly defines, "The best offense is a good defense." This style was also the first to utilize the "One Inch Punch."

Snake - The primary soft-strike style of the seven that utilizes sinuous movements and whip-like strikes using the fingers in order to strike key pressure points. Their entangling assault leaves little room for the Monkey to perform its tricks, but the exemplary balance and upper-based offense/defense of the Crane leaves the Snake with limited options; they also encounter difficulty against the Mantis and vice-versa because of their similar love for circular movements, making any pinpoint strike far more difficult to land. This style is one of the more difficult to master, and very strenuous on the user; because of the use of sinuous and whip-like motions the practitioner needs a very strong spine, stomach, and fingers. As a result, many internal training styles have sprouted from the Snake.

Crane - A reactive soft-hard style that utilizes expert balance and evasion coupled with counter strikes and a great focus on kicks and aerial attacks. Their balance and stances allow them to easily escape the entanglement of the Snake, but Dragon's relentless assault tires them quickly. Like the Leopard, they have no 'balance form' and encounter difficulty, not in any particular style, other than their specific strength and weakness, but rather in the skill of their opponent. Because of its focus on evasion rather than physical power, the Crane style has been adapted to many woman's defense schools and is favored by those of smaller builds.

Dragon - A direct hard style that utilizes a series of relentless attacks meant to overpower and break the opponent's defense. The Crane can rarely withstand its power, but the Drunken master's unpredictability and awkward fighting give them extreme difficulties; they also encounter difficulty against the Tiger style and vice-versa because of their opposite views on offense and defense. "What happens when a Dragon meets a Tiger?" is equivalent to the common phrase, "What happens when an unstoppable force meets an unmovable object?" The Dragon and the Leopard share another common phrase, "Why block when you can hit?" and as such they focus on endurance rather than evasion so as never to relent on their attacks.

Drunken - A tricky style that utilizes fakes and off-balance attacks and dodges to confuse the enemy and come at him/her from odd and unexpected angles. The Dragon cannot easily adapt to its trickery, but the Tiger's patient defense can often see through their trickery; they also encounter difficulty against the Monkey style and vice-versa because of how similar their moves are, making them easier to predict. Imitating the moves of a drunkard requires a good deal of reaction training and, most importantly, the knowledge of how to fall.

Mantis - A reactive soft-hard style that utilizes circular motions and rapid, whip-like, pinpoint strikes to vital spots or pressure points. As the style itself is divided between its Northern and Southern forms, so are its strengths and weaknesses. The Northern style shares characteristics with its brother styles, such as the Monkey and Snake, while the Southern style is more similar to the Dragon and Crane. Mantis is also one of the more difficult styles to master and it requires a great deal of internal training and physical endurance.

Leopard - An indirect, advanced style that utilizes extreme speed and lunging techniques. The Leopard is believed to be the base form from which the Dragon and the Crane stemmed. Like the Crane, they have no 'balance form' and encounter difficulty, not in any particular style, but rather in the skill of their opponent. Like the Dragon, they adhere to the phrase, "Why block when you can hit?" and as such they focus more on evasion and agile strikes than anything else. The only time a Leopard takes a stance is to aid in a pounce or lunging strike, otherwise they never stop moving; hit and run is the best ally of this style.

Durability Gauge

In order to regulate the nearly infinite power of psionics, a durability meter has been created. Each psychic attack starts at a base of one, but can go as high as 5. Therefore the start gauge is [X/5] relative to the number of stacks available to every psychic attack on an average level. At the start of a battle, Damon's durability gauge is [0/5]. If Damon uses a basic basic psychic technique at the start of a fight with a charge of one, the gauge is [1/5] next post. If Damon does not use any powers in the next post, the post after that would show the gauge as [0/5] again. The gauge stacks relative to the amount of psi power the attack uses, and if Damon exceeds the max limit of the durability gauge, he is punished by an adverse effect: Bad headache, then extreme mental fatigue, and the last is total coma. Depending upon how much power Damon is using or the level of the battle, the durability gauges max limit can be increased or decreased to suit the need. A higher state of being warrants a gauge of 10 - 15, where as average is simply 5.
