I don't exactly know which movie got me hooked on him, I think I just started realizing that I liked his movies and who he was. I had seen Nightmare on Elm St. 1 and thought it was fantastic though I was littler and thought it scary.. my favorite movie for all time has been Benny & Joon and I'm not exactly sure why but it's always been there as my favorite and this is before I even know who Johnny Depp was as well .. I had always wanted to see Edward Scissorhands but never got the chance to til a lot later but I found out that all these movies had Johnny Depp in them and I'm like whoo I really like his movies! eek He's an awesome actor and I can't say there isn't a film I haven't liked so far which I think is awesome. I've started a collection lol and I hope to get more but the movies he comes out with are phanominal and I so can't wait to see Piarates of the Caribbean 2 on July 7th! It'll be mind blowing I'm tellin' ya! 3nodding

I think I first saw Johnny in Sleepy Hollow but at the time I didn't know who he was - I loved the film and the acting (although it was a frightening film for me at the time) but I didn't really look into it any further at that point. Then Pirates of the Caribbean (1) came out and it was my favourite genre: fantasy action/adventure. Unfortunately I couldn't see it at the cinema but when I got the dvd I was really really impressed with both the storyline and the acting and then I came to realise Johnny Depp was the starring actor. I researched him and found out he was the actor in Sleepy Hollow. I think from that point on I was hooked! wink
Since then I've watched loads of his films, admittedly some that probably wouldn't normally interest me, but in each one Johnny has such unique presentation of his characters and can adapt into virtually any role. I think he's an amazing and versatile actor - one day he might get that Oscar but I'm sure that doesn't matter to him anyway 3nodding

I used to love Edward Scissorhands when I was younger but that was before I really knew who he was, to me he was just the guy in the film. I think I first started to recognise him in other movies when I saw From Hell.

I think the first Johnny Depp movie I ever saw was Nightmare on Elm Street or Pirates of the Caribbean. I saw them both around the same time. Yes I was deprived of Johnny Depp until a few years ago crying . Even after I saw those movies I still didn't really know who he was until I went to my friend Jamie's house. We watched Secret Window (and Pink Floyd The Wall but that's a little irrelevant to the story). I ABSOLUTELY loved it! After that movie I realized that Johnny Depp was in Nightmare on Elm Street and in Pirates of the Caribbean and I loved the job he did! After that, I became hooked on Johnny Depp. I researched the titles of movies he did and watched them over and over again. Any time on the TV Guide Channel that I saw a movie playing that starred Johnny Depp, I would change the channel so unbelievably quickly. To me, Johnny Depp movies are like a drug. They are extremely addictive.

Edward Scissorhands, definately...That movie got me hooked on Tim Burton and Johnny... 3nodding heart
