Prime example of why her office was always a mess. The gravity went out and well...things went to hell. If her office wasn't a horror before, it was now. Jelena groaned and ran a hand through her hair. "Velcro...I should just velcro everything down. Can't beat old fashioned velcro at all. Now where to get some...suppose I could have some shipped up...I doubt we have any up here. Or maybe Radiance has some..." Babbling to herself. At least she all her files had seals on them...kept papers from floating out. So she went about actually picking up a few things.

Lillia had been sleeping when the power went out. Without gravity to hold her onto her bed, she drifted up and being that she was not a still sleeper, seh rolled. But unlike at home, she did not roll on blankets and a firm but feather soft mattress with specialized pressure sensors to ensure that she had a wonderful night's sleep. No, she rolled in teh air. And when power came back on and the gravity returned she hit teh floor.
Her head smacked against something and she rolled over and slowly woke up. Pulling herself off of the ground, she stumbled into her clotehs and ran a brush through her hair. Unbeknownst to her she had a cut on her forehead and it was beginning to bleed but seh was more concerned with getting to work on time. She checked for her P.A.I.D. bracelet and then pulled on the lab coat she had been given. Grabbing her clipboard and a headband she left her room.
It did not take her as long to get to Dr. Trevale's office as it usually did. She actually found her way relatively easy, recognizing landmarks from when James had shown her the way. Breezing in she nodded to teh doctor and then her eyes widened. "What happened here?"

"I didn't use velcro, that's what happened." She rolled her eyes, dropping a stack of files on her desk in somewhat of a pile. "Innovation, the star cruiser that houses the Project Catalyst, had another mishap and power got cut. If you don't have emergency power or a generator hooked up, well you're loosing your lights and gravity" A hand was brushed back through her hair and she sighed, reaching down to pick up her over done laptop computer from the floor, setting it on the desk as well. "This is why I invented my OODDS..." Then a look to Lilia. "Get used to frequent power outages, Catalyst is always causing them."

Roselyn had dragged him down and was standing there, arms folded idly looking around at the machines, only reminding her that she had some in her. She just had so much trouble getting over it, and Cognizance's constant poking at her memory in attempt to counsel her had only made thing worse for her as far as being messed with. But she stood there watching Rennell get things set up occasionally nudging him to be good, until she turned and did not seem to care that much. Mechanics walked by and asked why she was there, offering their time which she hastily refused, hugging herself a little tighter, she finally tugged lightly on one of Rennell's wings. "So?" She could not believe she dragged him down there...

"So? So what? I'm taking my time here and deciding things. I mean, this is going to be in my head...actually in my head. I don't want some second rate engineer or some new one using me as a test subject." He shrugged lightly. "Besides, I have to pick what I want this thing to do...the original program they used for my eye seems to be rather...outdated and non-existent now."
How did he know and find out all of this? Easy. He was sitting at a computer terminal, searching through the Metamorphosis Project's lists of well, everything. From staff to every little part, wire and program that they had. A noise of disappointment from young Rennell. "They can't be simple anymore can they...I can barely find anything simple as my current design. I don't need anything extra...crap I'll end up having to upgrade my gun as well at this rate." Good thing this was all free.

Several lab techs were trying not to laugh as they looked James over, who was seated and not very pleased. they'd disconnected most the wires that were still hanging off his arm, and testing to make sure the power fluxuations hadn't damaged or were hindering anything. they knew the taser worked, one smart mouthed lab tech got to test that. and the cannon they ran diagnostics on worked fine as far as anyone could tell. He flexed the fingers on his bioware hand, turnign the wrist and checking joints, while half his head was open as the biomechanics began to check and see if any of his programing or memory had been shorted or damaged, which caused his speech to get a metallic hint to it, very much machine like.
"Prognosis? is everything functioning according to the blueprints?"
As far as they knew everything was fine, but they hooked up his communication interuption and interception device to the computers, todl him to look around, see how his brain would relay and process the information. So he did, and came across the terminal Rennel was using. which blurred some, and James' face came up digitalized.
"Glad to see you are taking a more serious interest in your bioware, Rennel."
Then it faded, as he was unplugged and given a perfect bill of biomechanical health.

"P-power outages? Loss of gravity..." Her mother had warned her about things like this. She had told her all sorts of things about space and frankly it scared her a bit. Especially now that she knew part of it was true. "So you think velcro will keep your chaos in some semblance of order?"
Lilia was a bit unsure right now. She clutched her clipboard tightly and looked around at the mess of an office. Papers were scattered everywhere. She wanted to help pick up but she knew how particular some people were about their notes. "Do you mind if I help you clean up?" she asked politely.

"Well you are down here, good enough." She sort of nodded to him, "I am going to go back to Echo and get something to eat, maybe be idle there instead" She let her arms drop, gave him a small smile and moved to the teleporter which would take her instanly to the Echo cruiser. Where she could play around with Echos, and the like... whether she was supposed to or not.

Rennell jumped slightly as his terminal was basically hacked into. James decided to make a short appearance and apparently praise him before he faded back to the original screen he was looking out. "Moira...does he always have to do that. Talk about big brother watching you."
Then a nod to Rosey as she mentioned and thus went back to the Envision. A place he wasn't really allowed to go right now. Well at least not allowed in the interesting part of it that was for sure. But with a sigh he continued trying to find what he needed. Or rather what he wanted.

"Can't handle those, I suggest you ship back down to Earth right now. Because if you can't you won't survive. Get some grav boots from Radiance, that'll help." Another pile of sealed files picked up and placed in a random stack in a random place. "No, it'll just keep things from floating. Old as dirt, velcro but you can't beat the classics sometimes."
"You can clean if you want, doesn't mean I won't mess it up in due time anyway. I'm just not an organized person when it comes down to it."

Her chin came up and she shook her head. "I can handle it. I am just not used to it." Her stubborn streak, small as it was, was starting to show through and she would be damned if she was going to be sent back to Earth and prove her mother right about everything thus far.
So instead she bent down and started gathering files. Jelena certainly wasn't organized but Lilia could fix that. Of course it would require her to know what was in most of teh files. She'd simply colorcode the files and then post the system somewhere Dr. Trevale could easily see it. James had asked her to do just that.
She started checking off in her mind the different categories she would use. General information, genetics research, Experiments, status reports, the whole shebang. It would be a bit of fun for her, she actually liked organizing things and it helped with her horrible habit of forgetfulness.

"We'll see Lilia." She really wasn't trying to be mean by the statement, but that was often the case with those who weren't exactly comfortable in space. And it was easy to tell Lilia wasn't so comfortable. Most shipped back within a month.
Setting aside another stack she flipped open her computer and keyed in a specific series of numbers and letters, which pulled up what looked like security footage on one of the glass columns holding the developing Echoes. This was the one she had been worried about lately.
"Good thing I got back up power in all my labs and in the environments. That would be one heck of a day if I had to calm Echoes left and right. Some just aren't easy." Babbling again to herself.

She was stacking folders and thinking. "Echoes would probably go nuts if they were without their natural living environment, no food, water, lights. Although they would have water and food still...hmm I just wonder is all. It quite fascinates me."
She started flipping through a few of the unsealed folders, basic information mostly. She wasn't about to ask about the other ones, Dr. Trevale would make those known in due time. It would just take some time to prove to her that she was indeed sticking around.

"Ive been doing this for five years, and it all still fascinates me. Then again I'm considered the crazy one of the scientific community. Well, on Earth anyway. Up here I rank with all the others who work long hours everyday with no pay at all on things that aren't widely accepted."
She cut the link on her computer then shut it and turned to watch Lilia going through folders. Now how did they get like that. "Oh, Lilia, would you seal those up when you're finished looking through them? See that semi-transparent strips on either side at the top, just work it like a zipper." No, the seals weren't meant to keep people out, just to keep papers in. Besides, the folders that held Echo genetics were all locked up.

She kept her focus on the folders and did not say anything. Those on Earth claiming she was crazy were her parents. She wondered if anyone had made the connection yet and was relieved that no one had said anything. It made her life easier.
Following Dr. Trevale's instructions was simple and she 'zipped' one folder up and then nodded. "I'll take care of it Dr. Trevale. Don't worry about it." And she set about stacking folders on shelves.
