Her fish floated and glided above Jayce worriedly, watching to see if he'd be ok. Calypso glanced away from Equis to Jayce again and frowned, one of her rare moments of caring and compassion seeping through. "Jayce.. You'll just hyperventalate if you keep trying to hard. Try a bit slower." She ignored Equis for now, watching to be sure Jayce was alright before turning back to him.
Yea the kid was a pain in the a**, and she pretty much hated him... But he was Jedrek's family. Jedrek wouldn't be sad if he died, but.. she knew it'd affect him somehow. Plus she had grown accustomed to the brat's face.

he heard her. but he was having a hard time listening. Jayce didn't like to be in pain. and Espeshaly when it was cause by a Coffee. pupils contracting, he struggled against the urge to attack the Coffee once again. claws digging into this chest, some saliva dripping from his opened panting mouth
"don't... touch... me. don't... touch me!"
the soft glowing of the fish, and her voice... though he hated it. helped keep him where he was, glaring at Equis darkly.
Equis sneered at the young Candy. disliking the fact that Claypso had ignored him. he jerked his head up, deciding to finish off the kid later.
then walked over and glared down at Jedrek, who was still staring blankly at the Skull Numa.
curling a lip as he watched, and waited for something to happen. giving him a reason to do what he wanted to do next.

Hearing and obeying the command, the fish darted away from Jayce, back to the safety of Calypso's wings. She stared at Jayce for a moment more before nodding. If he was ok enough to yell and whine, he'd be fine.. And his breathing had steadied a bit. Her concern long gone after a moment, she turned back to Equis, stepping closer.
For a moment.. she pondered. Could Jedrek die? She knew he couldn't feel pain.. He feel apart all the time, but was there a limit? If he was torn limb from limb by Equis.. Would he fade out? She didn't know, but the possibilty... scared her.
"Equis... Get away from him.. If you kill him I'll never speak to you ever again!"

Equis turned away from Jedrek, looking down at Calypso.
sharing her... letting that Zombie have her... he could not stand it.
he stepped closer towards Jedrek, his expression softer.
"I can't let it happen Calypso, so you need to choose now. either me, or I kill the freak"
he raised one of his claws again.
his indifference to the situation caused him mind to wonder quietly, why these things were happening. he has certainly never been caused damage by another Numa before. and he was not entirely sure why one would want to attack him.
his gaze had slowly shifted from his glowering nephew to Calypso, now addressing the Large Coffee.

She stared at Equis, eyes slightly wide. Was he serious...? He defenitly looked serious... And she knew Jedrek wouldnt defend himself.. She looked conflicted and upset for a moment, fighting her pride and her consience. She HATED being told what to do.. but.. If Jedrek was killed, she'd miss him. Or at least feel guilty for causing his death.
She glanced away for a moment, ears drooping.. Well... It's not like it was forever. She would just sneak away from him when he wasn't looking, or something. Her eyes looked back at him, narrowed and defenitly not looking happy at ALL.
"Fine, I'll choose you. Just get away from him. NOW."

a victorious smile lighted Equis face, though his eyes remained deadly.
as agreed, his first action was stepping away from Jedrek. lowering his claw, and striding slowly towards Calypso
"it is for the best, for you my dear" he said kindly. holding a claw out in front of him, as if to gesture her towards the Swamp.
having had caught his breath, he lay hunched on the ground. dark form unmoving as he watched her decision. even if he did hate her. he hated the Coffee even more. and he wanted to get even for the pain Equis had caused him, and the disrespect he had showed his uncle
"no" he growled. loud enough for her to hear
"don't you dare go with him!"
slowly raising his from legs, to push himself off the ground, very awkwardly shifting his wight as he moved his limp legs forward. Jedrek continued to watch Calypso and the Coffee.

She glared at Equis, baring her small teeth at him before grumbling and moving to follow him into the swamp. She'd agreed to it.. sure.. but she hated it. She wouldn't pretend that she wanted to be here.
When Jayce spoke she glanced over her shoulder, looking even more annoyed. "I would have thought you'd be thankful I saved your uncle... It's not like I have a choice." She gave Equis a quick glare.

Equis however paused, glaring over at Jayce. brat and his mouth.
"humm" he turned his chin up looking down at him. then with a look to Calypso he asked
"and what does the Punk mean to you?"
Jayce's crawled onto all fours, fur prickeing as he growled at Equis and Calypso.

An eyebrow raised as she glanced to Equis, then back to Jayce. "He's just a stupid spoiled little brat..." She turned to Equis. "But that doesn't mean you get to hurt him." She fluttered her wings, fur around her neck fluffying up annoyedly. She took a few steps toward the swamp, trying to drive Equis away from the others.

Jayce turned to look over at Jedrek as Equis was Distracted with Calypso.
still unable to use his back legs. Jayce knew that that would not be a disability for to much longer. and if Calypso vanished with in the Swamp now. the changed of getting her back were very slim... his Uncle needed time, and Jayce was going to have to try and give that to him.
in silence Jayce bashed forward, getting close enough he drive his claw up under the Coffee's chin.
Equis yelled out in surprise and pain. staggering to the side as he was attacked so suddenly. he raised a claw to his dripping chin, and let out a roar glareing at the Candy.
"you FOOL! I would have let you live!"
he took two long strides forward, blocking off Jayce's second attack.

Calypso's eyes widdened as she saw Jayce lounge at Equis. "NO!" She yelped and dashed over to them, close but not enough to get into the line of fire. "Equis, No! Don't hurt him!!" She didn't want Jayce to get hurt.. but all she could do was yell and try to get Equis to calm down. She sure wasn't going to try to fight Equis herself.. She didn't care THAT much.

Jayce was more trying to draw Equis toward him. And farther away then actually attacking him. Though he was beginning to find that more and more difficult as Equis started to get closer. And the act of trying to draw out the fight, was beginning to exhaust the both the Numa, it was unfortunate for Jayce, that Equis has more stamina, and that Equis chose not to listening to any of calypso's words. It did not take the Coffee long to land a hit after that. Sending Jayce sprawling to the ground.
Struggling to get on. Only to feel a crushing pain on his back, as Equis pinned him down with a large, fallen, and stale licorice tree.
Perhaps it was his only good fortune that the external vertebra along his back provided the support he needed to keep his internal spine from breaking.
With a disgruntled snort. He turned back to Calypso,
“There!” he growled, “I will not kill him” though he did intend to leave him to die under that tree.
Storming back up, in a very foul mood, he reached out, grabbing her arm, and practically dragging her back towards the Swamp. Stopping only to stare in utter surprise, towards Jedrek… who was… standing normally.
His gaze was upon Jayce again. Seeing him pinned under the tree. He blinked slowly; remember something his Brother had told him… ‘Keep him safe’
He got began to walk patiently towards Jayce.

"Jayce!" She stood there and watched it all, hardly able to believe her eyes. She couldn't really blame Equis for fighting back... In a way she thought Jayce deserved a bit of a beating for being so stubborn and egging Equis on.. but.. she didn't want him to die.. or be hurt too badly. She yelped softly as the male's claw clenched around her arm, his claws digging into her fur slightly, though not enough to break the skin.
This time she fought back, but not alot.. She didn't want to hurt herself. "Equis, let go of me dammit! Ow, you're hurting me!!" She paused to blink at Jedrek as well, though not looking quite as suprised as Equis.. She watched him move over to Jayce. A bit of relief washed over her face before she turned to glare at Equis again.

he strained against the mass on his back. coughing violently as he failed, dropping his from arms limply on the ground. glareing up at the approaching Jedrek. eyes widening slightly seeing Jedrek had pulled himself back together. he lifted his head up. looking towards the struggling Calypso
"c call to Jedrek!!" he yelled though his strangled voice.
"order him to help you!" he sounded urgent, claws digging into the ground against the pain.
not meaning to harm her, his roughness due to a very foul mood, he loosened his grip, but continued to move her away, before his temper caused him to turn and shove his glow stick the boys eye.

Call to him..? Now that the pain in her arm had lessoned, she glanced back to the two slowly shrinking Numas behind her. Calling to him would just make it worse.. there would be a fight, and she wasn't completely sure that Jedrek would win. Plus, Jedrek's strength was needed to get Jayce out from under the tree. She sucked up her pride and looked to the ground as she stumbled beside Equis, dragged further into the forest. She'd made her decision.
"I hope you realize that I'm really hating you right now.." She hissed at the male above her.
