Other than a distant odd number of similar bird calls, you find nothing. There are some leaves skewered by a stick the look nice though.

Seeing no-one, Eira will wake sursqueek, thinking that it was actually fairly pleasent having a lull in his speech though realizing she should not merely leave him.
Upon his waking, Eira says, "please do try to breath when you tell tales in the future. It may add some pauses to your stories, but you shouldn't pass out that way... Lets get into the camp at least. The walk shouldn't take long..."

Sursqueek ponders this for a minute then decides that adding pauses to his speech would be like counting cards in poker and soil the honor of his speeches' lengthiness. He thanks Eira with a nod that says:'thanks but no thanks' and heads off into camp as quietly as possible.

"Well that didnt work" Thanatos thinks to himself, as he sneaks towards the center of camp, keeping an eye out for any soldiers, or the main command tent. Roll+13=Movesilently check 2nd Roll+13=hide check

The loitering guards fail to notice your approach. Then again, a herd of elephants would have a hard time being noticed.

Once Eira is eventually close enough to encounter a sentry; or any other soldier for that matter, She will say, "Greetings, I, and this man, (gesturing to sursqueek) are two of the New Generals appointed by the king. Please, where is the Ranking officer located, I wish to speak of the current situation with him."

"Yeshhh. I just ssshhhaw de new offissher dat the king appointed. I don't know where he went." The guard scrathes his head. It is also plain that hee seems to be guarding into the camp rather than out of.

Very well then, could you perhaps point me toward his tent then? I"ll be sure to see him eventually that way." says Eira, seeming a bit disappointed, but not really surprised...

"Ah so the other man has already arrived... Could you by any chance tell me where we can find a place to set up our own tents then?"
Though she asked Eira will nonetheless try to look for a suitable location while waiting for a response, as well as try to locate the roguish fellow acting as the other general.
Spot - The General 19+1=20 Spot - Good Location 11+1=12 (I wasn't sure if you would want separate checks for each target or not)
To sursqueek she says, "It appears he beat us here, somehow I'm not really suprised. What do you think? should we try to find him or set up first?"

Sykle "..." Sursqueek surveys the camp for any of the other "Leadersshhhhh" ((spot take ten : 10+12=22 to find anything relating to other leaders)) You see there is a light heirarchy in the lack of greatest authority. Those who can kill someone faster are often more empowered. The man who seems to be carring a small stash of swords seems most high on this improv chain of command.

What do you think? should we try to find him or set up first?" You fail to find his location, but find a trail of disturbed brush ending in some bushes, which are bare enough to be empty. The end-of-summer breeze overtakes many slight sounds or crushed leaves in addition, making it unlikely that they would be heard. The best location seems to be an abandoned general's tent (or at lest very high ranking officer's) that has a multitud of flags on the poles around it. It is doubtless that no soul cared for claiming control of the whole opperation. Strangely enough, it all still worked, stablekeepers kept mucking and soldiers guarding. Seems money has as much control as honor.

Thanatos silently slips past the gaurds and into the abandoned Generals tent. Upon entry he checks his new surroundings. (taking 10 on my spot). "These will do nicely" he says silently to himself. Being content with his new quarters Thanatos unstraps his bag and places it on the ground, rifling through its components, taking out a few different items, (pen, paper, forgery kit, kings letter, extra daggers, and different plants (depends on what the DM considers poisonous plants...cause the plants are poisonous)), and placing them on a surface. Thanatos goes to work making out letters to his men at the mercenary camp, to proceede with all haste to this new location, and to await further instruction. His letter done, Thanatos reads it over to make sure it can be understood, and seals it with his personal seal. "Ill have to find a courier to deliever this parcel for me" he thinks to himself... "it can wait till the morning, right now I need sleep" and with that he walks over to his sleeping bag, and lays down, sliding a knife under his pillow, and keeping his hand on another inside the sleeping bag.

Eira, after reviewing her surroundings, says to Sursqueek, "Where are you going from here?... I'm going to find a place to place to stay." She begins to walk toward the tent surrounded by various flags.
Unless stopped for any reason, when she arrives she will say "Is anyone here?" as she opens the flap just before entering.
