He looks at the whiskey for a moment, but lets it sit there. "Passing through, and killing time while my brother deals with my griffon's.. appointment. The brute needs his claws trimmed before he decides I'm not doing what he wants again.
Nut tilts her head to the side at the two bigger griffons, then looks back at the tail that moved. If it moved again, she's very likely go charging at it to pounce. Since the human took her away from all the moving feet to play with, she needed something to chase out here.

Chade noticed where Nut's attention had turned. Had he been human, he would have raised his eyebrows in amusement, but to express his amusement as a griffin required different motions, including the re-positioning of his ears and a different set to his shoulders. As he was comfortable the way he was seated, he opted not to show is amusement, though for most it would not have been a conscious decision.
Instead, he decided to tempt fate and the young one's control and very deliberately twitched his tail again, beginning close to the base of his tail and letting the motion continue down to the tip, causing his tail to make an almost serpentine move.
Trill noticed Chade's movement from the corner of his blue eyes, but there was hardly anything remarkable about the fact that Chade had rippled his tail, even though Trill knew it had been done with some sort of purpose. He had learned that the younger griffin never did anything without some purpose.

"Ah, the love-hate relationship. I let Cressy keep her claws. It's easier when she catches deer for me that way."
Mishu grinned. Creseyda was a wild griffin at heart, though affection made her obey Mishu, the human knew she had no claim to order the griffin around. It was only through the relationship that they got along.

"Oh, I let him keep his claws. He'd probably maul me if I didn't. I just make him have them trimmed. He pretty much hates me for it, but when I get my brother to take him for that, well he leaves the kid alone. Discriminating old bird." He leans back on his stool just slightly, frowning to himself.
Nut's eyes lock on the moving tail. Tilting her head to the side a little bit once, she crouches down ready to charge and attack. Wiggling her own tail for a second, she squawks before jumping and running over to pounce and proceed to 'maul' the tail.

Trill let out a soft squawk of surprise when he saw the small griffin leap at Chade's tail and waited anxiously to watch how his adoptive brother would react. Chade did not alway play as others did, and he did not play fair at all.
However, Chade had known what he was doing, and when the little one pounced he flicked his tail out of the way just in time and touched the tufted tip to her beak before pulling it back, close to his body, very quickly. His blood-colored eyes showed his amusement. He was even smiling, Trill noted with surprise. Chade rarely did that.
Moving with a care as to his attacker's diminutive size and strength, Chade shifted quickly so that he lay on his side in a cat's resting position, with his belly partially exposed. He still kept an eye on his attacker, though, and kept his tail in mostly constant motion, except when she caught it for true, which happened sometimes even when he didn't mean her to.
