"I don't know if they have or not, and I'd say we should go find out if it weren't for the new travelers... We don't know how they'll react to the children - and Val just walked away so we can't ask her what to do. Ugh." Silver rolled her eyes, and then chuckled to herself. "You know, just once I would like some answers out of that woman. Oh well, she'll fix it, I'm sure." Silver pried Aisrhan's arms from around her neck once again and situated the girl in a more comfortable position for herself. Aisrhan didn't like it, but she didn't protest. She rested her head on Silver's shoulder, sniffling as though she would begin crying again at any moment. When she didn't, however, Silver spoke to Emelyn. "Well, what do you want to do? Risk the strangers to get the fire going or go back to the wagons? If you want me to come with you for Pierre's sake, I don't mind, but it is getting dark out here."

Shamira dusted herself off and resolutely stood up. "I think it's time we demand some answers." she declared, holding her hand out to her lover.

Lorelei bit her lip and took Shamira's hand, pulling herself up to tired and weary feet. "Answers? About what?" she asked, exhauastedly. Really, she just wished she could go to sleep in a bed for once... wake up and have everything be better.
"Answers as to where we'll be sleeping?" Her voice dipped in volume noticibly here, but lacked the normal stammering that accompanied her speech when nervous... around other people. This was Shamira, though... it was easier to talk around her.

"Among others.." Shamira's brow wrinkled as she tried to figure out what to tell Lorelei, "It seems.. that they're hiding something. Something that has to do with magic. I want to make sure they mean us no harm."

She rested her head on Shamira's shoulder as she stood next to the older woman. "Mm... Magic? How lovely..." she murmured, clearly very sleepy. "But that sounds good, yes... but do I have to go?" Lorelei yawned. "I'm not as authoratative-looking as you are... and I'm tired."
Was she pouting? The scared, nervous girl from earlier seemed to be letting her guard down a bit.

"Lovely indeed," Shamira's voice was slightly dry, aware of her lover's sleepy-ness, "It's alright, I'll handle this one - I don't think they actually mean us harm.." kissing Lorelei lightly on the forehead, the woman smiled before walking towards the wagon where the rest of the people were. "Would anyone mind telling us what's going on?" the gypsy woman was obviously trying to make herself look intimidating, but only succeeded in looking tired and weary - even her glare was tired.

Lorelei sunk to the ground, finding a softer patch, and quickly fell into a dreamless, rather uncomfortable sleep. They hadn't slept since sun-up that day, courtesy of the crows who woke them up every morning, and had been traveling hard.

Val noticed the travelors to be sleepy, Good She thought. Then the one asked a question. She shouldn't notice anything.... unless...
"What's going on?" Val repeated with a smile over her face, perfectly covering her nervousness. Many a magician had been persecuted this day in age and just suspecting someone was a gypsy and safe was not enough for Val to let down her guard. "Why, fellow travelors there is nothing to be worried about. How about I get a fire going and we all sit down and cook a meal." She thought of how to fix the spell goof up while she tended the fire.
Finally the fire was at a nice roar when she noticed the shy one was sleeping on the ground. "Dear, if you would like a nice bed for the night, I am sure one of us could spare one." Of course, wouldn't want them in her own wagon, too much to get into.

Silver looked around the corner of the wagon to get a better view of the strangers and saw Val starting the fire. "Never mind, Em. Val beat us to it." Silver thought for a moment before finally coming to a conclusion. "Well, I can't just leave Aisrhan in the wagon while she's acting like this, and I'm tired, darn it. I'm going out there." Though she had made her decision, Silver half-hoped Emelyn would stop her as she started to walk toward the fire. She was still nervous about how the newcomers would view the children. Silver turned and looked at her. "Are you coming?"

The woman's attitude would have been convincing if Shamira hadn't seen her nervousness earlier - they were definitely hiding something, and they didn't want to tell the newcomers. Tired and weary, both from the day's long travel and from skirting around everything, Shamira took a moment's rash decision and decided she could trust the gypsy-caravan. "We're tired. We've been travelling for days. We have no weapons. We can't hurt you in any way, can we? We're a good way from the nearest city, as far as I know, and completely at your mercy. We're no threats," taking a deep breath, already beginning to regret her rash actions, the gypsy woman continued, "and I can feel your magic, if that's what you're hiding. So please, you don't need to tell us everything, just get Lorelei a bed and we'll be off tomorrow!" at the end of her little rambling, Shamira's voice had grown to an almost-shout.

((We're baaad, baaaad little gypsies, Silver. XD))
Em sighed, and adjusted her infant- she was used to carrying him about, by now- but even an accomplished mother's arms get tired.
"Well..." something told her that she shouldn't- Pierre was barely content with her- newcomers were certainly not in his comfort zone- and the infants had been acting so strangely. But it was cold, at night, and she didn't want to go back to her wagon with a nervous child. "Alright." And she followed Silver over towards the glow of the flames.

"Mm...?" Lorelei stirred a bit at Val's words, then sat bolt upright at Shamira's shouting, instinctively thinking there was danger. She trembled, both from exhaustion and fear, and glanced around nervously...
There was a lit fire, and the woman who'd offered her the salve... and there was Shamira, looking more than a little distressed.
She managed to stand up - though she was wobbling terribly - and edge towards Shamira, eyes wide, and looking very much like a frightened animal.

Silver walked up to the fire as casually as she could, acting as though she wasn't nervous at all, and sat next to Valelldia. "Hi Val. It was getting a bit chilly..." Silver nodded in greeting and smiled at the woman who had been speaking in a somewhat raised voice just as she arrived. She then did the same to the other woman, who had obviously just been sleeping. I guess we'll just see how this goes, she thought as she cradled Aisrhan in her right arm and tossed a few dry leaves onto the fire with the other.

Em sat, moments after Silver, and gave a cursory smile to the two new women, before laying Pierre, face-up, across her lap.

Val looked at Shamira and Lorelei with concern in her eyes. All this covering her own hide, as well as the hide of the Fortunettes and she had forgotten how in need the travelors where. Perhaps she had been in Shuelen too long. A feeling of guilt choked her throat for a moment.
"I am sorry." She said with sympathy. "You can stay with us for as long as you like." She saw Silver and Em who had just approached. "Would one of you be so kind as to offer these two worn out girls a bed. They seem to tired to even eat and need rest."
She looked at Shamira. "Yes, there is intense magic around us, always following us and even more when you two came across the caravan." She sighed. "But if you are familiar with magic you know that around this area, it is not safe. And there is lots at sake for those who can't tolerate it." She looked towards the infants wondering what the two girls could see.
