Oh dear I'm sorry!..I'm an idjet. I'll just introduce myself. xp
Hi there! Names Amanda, I'm 21 and I live in PA.
I love drawing, learning new stuff about drawing and I hope to one day be able to make a living out of the thing I love most, but I lack creativity, knowledge and I'm downright lazy. I want to improve! I occasionally make some money doing furry commissions.. .Please don't hold that against me. Nothing against the furry fandom, but It is not what I am interested in. It's fun for practice though. I know lots of people who are into the fandom and that is the reason why I started drawing so much of it.
I use oekaki, Deleter Cg Illustrator, some MSpaint and any other media I can think of.
Thanks!

Hey, I'm a strange little chick who loves to look at and (attempt) to create art. sweatdrop I like strange stuff and graffiti art. I myself mostly paint and draw although I do dabble in 3d stuff. I'm going to scan my stuff soon so I can post it up here. I'm a movie addict and love to just chill with my buds and get sugar high. 3nodding

Um... hi? My name's Tess, I'm fourteen and I live in Australia. I'm kind of torn about what to do in this Guild. I'm both a Literature enthusiast and an Art Maniac... But I'm more comfortable to do art so that's what I'll do... Don't worry, I'm not really a creepy old guy who just want his youth back. I'm seriously fourteen. I'm just *different*. Not many girls at my all girl school like english or art. So, as you can probably guess, I fit in as much as a broken puzzle piece. I've been drawing since I was little and I must say, through all twelve and a bit years there has been some improvement. Anyway, I recently bought two Sakura Pigma Micron Inking Pens (Hip hip... -Crickets chirping-) but even more recently dropped one on it's tip, so now I get a double line when I don't hold it just so. I'm very unhappy about that but I'm looking forward to getting another one (Hip hip... -More crickets-). Anyway, my style is heavily inked line art. I like drawing weapons and Ninja clothes. I sent two of my best inked pictures in my join request and a K-RAPPY charcoal picture done of a photo of me. Anyway, as you can probably tell I do like writing and I'm a bit of a spelling loser... Oh dear god I'm a nerd... gonk Anyway, I'll be posting some of my pics in a new Thread soon so I hope to see some Tess-Bashing in the future. biggrin
Tess out.
P.S. I have absolutely no colouring programs on my Computer so for a while they'll just be linearts. Hoping to get Photoshop pretty soon (Hip hip... -crickets- Oh bugger off!) so when I do I'll post in my increasingly annoying way.
Edit - My Join request was declined so I'm looking forward to some help in how to improve my art. I'll post my thread now.

I'm Leloi and I've decided not to age anymore (the numbers were getting too high). I'm unsure yet if I will attempt to send in a request. Several other artist I know swear by this guild and find it to be helpful. I do a little bit of everything. Although I haven't been doing much in the way of 2D lately. I feel like those skills have slipped back ever since last year. My hand strength doesn't feel like it used to... like I'm losing control. Click on the Shadow Spirit to be taken to my DA gallery. wink

Click on the Shadow Spirit to be taken to my DA gallery. wink What got you into making plushies? Did you start off with pre-made patterns initially? Actually... yes I did. I spent about 10 years working with commercially available patterns. That was mostly for costumes because I've always had a love of the theater. What started the whole doll experience was that I found an issue of Soft Dolls & Animals and I found that the "experienced" level was easy to understand and follow. I then explored several doll pattern designer sites, including Ute Vasina and her troll dolls. I ordered her Roland and Whisper patterns to make. Roland was my first experience with that kind of doll and I learned a lot by making him and later Whisper. I've since read up on all kinds of doll making through the Susan Oroyan books (Anatomy of a Doll, Designing the Doll, Finishing the Figure). They are basically "doll theory 101" which gives the history of doll making and how humans progressed from "primitive elemental" dollies to "soft sculpture." From experience with commercial patterns and from knowing what shapes work I started drafting my own patterns. For the past few years I've mostly used my own drafted patterns (I only use other's "for fun.") because I've been selling my work. It was a relatively easy jump to make... costumes to dolls. And I find that nowadays instead of making a costume for myself... I'll make it for a doll. In fact a lot of the early UFOcatcher style I filled my portfolio with had been characters I cosplayed (plus some I've always wanted to do... like Sarah from Labyrinth in her ballgown... which I haven't made but I have materials gathered).

serial_experiments You will know me as serial_experiments, or just serial, and sometimes as Sindaran Ainu or Ainu Minaro, formerly Vampirony (Google that... Most of the stuff related to gaming / smashing pumpkins you will find it's ME...). I am 22. Studying Computer Science. Currently working on a larger version of this particular piece to give as a gift to my uncle and his family, along with polishing up a database for a job and making a design for Imagine Cup 2005. I have the strange ability to find weird stuff. And sometimes, I draw stuff too. GigashoopPregnancyWe Live in a Stranged WorldSweater-SX 3More at My Deviant Art pageTwo years later, I still suck at life. At least I graduated. And draw better monsters.

Hellllo. o__o I..um..Uh, yeah. Name: Vera Age: 14 Feeling: Just a little intimidated Seeking: I wanna be the very best! Like no one evar wuzzzz!!! /endbreakoutinsong Of course I want to get better at drawing! gonk The things I find I have trouble drawing are legs from the knee down, frontward/forward noses, feet, and neck and back placement(or how they connect, I guess. :V ). I want to learn how to draw cars, guitars, guns, and kissing scenes. I also want to get better at coloring, but feel free to tell me everything that's wrong with my art that you notice. I have all summer to practice. Uhm, let's see. I have my Devart, but I'll also post some recent pictures. Gaiaonline ABR fightKiss (Now you should see why I need practice. ninja ) Farsiris (You can see my waist-to-leg-to-knee-to-foot problem here, and a gun.) D: Uhm. Please don't eat me alive.

if you have problems with legs it's probably because you dont really know what they look like or how they work
I suggest just drawing a lot of legs
from life and from pictures. and looking at the structure of legs like the bones and the knee and everything
just do lots of studies.

I sure went out in style. (that was the worst show ever lol)
ummm, I dont think it's really that weird. It shows you have picked out a problem area and you are determined to fix it which is more than a lot of artists do I find it admirable.
