Neu Deutschland

Luftwaffe stood alone in a barren field. He closed his eyes and slowly imagined an incredible, barren expanse. He opened his eyes and was pleased to see that the world had done as he wanted it to.

He closed his eyes, and mountains rose into the skies in the distance. Forests sprang up in the foothills and meadows, and quaint towns with cobblestone roads. And unlike the other areas, the sky was gorgeous, a brilliant blue with occasional fluffy white clouds. The sun shone brightly over this gorgeous land. Luftwaffe spread his wings and flew into the air as he felt the land becoming his. He looked to the towns-- München and his small home of Bad Aibling were all he had now-- and humans began to appear there, populating them. With a single mental sweep, they were given names, histories, occupations, relationships. Life began to bustle in the towns immediately as the sophisticated, sentient puppet humans set about their daily lives. The Chimsee spread out far beneath him and the Tatzlwurm, his favorite mountain waterfall, formed up on a mountain nearby. Wendelstein mountain rose right near Bad Aibling, and some way off the Zugspitz climbed to the skies.

And then he made his own home. In the Bavarian Alps, the fantastic castle Neuschwanstein burst from the rock face in all its glory. The land was his now.

He spun slowly to look over the land. He would invite his brother to share this place. It would be their paradise. He smiled to himself, and Lord Luftwaffe of Neu Deutschland flew to his castle.

"It's gorgeous, madame," said Kragen, feeling the softness of the floor between his toes. "It's nothing like my castle home. So much more... elegant." He locked eyes with the Keeper of shadows, and though of just how elegant she was, and how he wanted to share with her... Share his soul, his mind, and his body.

He crawled to her bed, remaining on the floor, and put his forehead to the ground. "I pledge myself to you, my lady. Everything that I am, you have."

Hadus frowned. "These lands... this area is owned by her, you say? She controls the land there? And what of true magic? Surely the land cannot counter an individual's magic." [That would probably be an abuse of the land, right? It would anger the land.]

Dirk flicked his tail and rolled over, then fluttered one wing. "Does she have a Rider? She has to follow the orders of her Rider..."

she chuckles and grabes one of the pillows with her teeth batting him lightly with it and with the pillow still in her mouth she muffles out "lighten up and have fun."

Draconis closed thought for a moment, trying to figure out the mysteries of the Land from her experience. "Some areas, created by one mind, have been strengthened by the persistance of that mind believing that it owns the area. For example, here. Draco Magnus has control of this place over all others, even me. Then there's the Arena, which no one but me can touch... If she does the same thing, we should be okay, because this place is infinite. But I think Draconomica is changing, which is impossible! Or just highly improbable. Dragon magic doesn't affect it, I think, meaning that you can't do this with magic. Just minds do. And she has Kragen? What's she doing to him?"

"He acts without his previous mind. He thinks I hurt him." Blue-Eyes looked at the ground, his heart very heavy.

His Rider understood what he meant. "Kragen would never do that... And if she can alter the mind of Draconomica, then..." Then what could she do to alter the mind of Kragen, who had just about the courage of a tapeworm? This was very bad.

Draconis looked down at the cute fluff in her arms. "Well, I don't think she's a Feral, she must have a rider. If you know who he or she is, I think it would help quite a bit."

Draconis looked up at the sky, while Blue-Eyes sat quietly next to Magnus. She asked her Lunar, "Do you know what her name is?" He replied with a slight shake of his head, no. "What does she look like?"

"Darkness. White lightning from head to tail, and tatters in her wings. Her tail-fur is strange, vibrant green and red, I think."

The Rider sighed, and looked at Poke. Something was very wrong with the Land, she could tell. It was real. "Do you know anybody who has a dragon of that description?"

Veigh grumbled, then stretched out luxuriously (sp?). She breathed deep, and opened one eye to look up at Schnurrbart. "Why, hello there..." she mumbled, rolling onto her back like a playful cat.

Veigh watched him back into the water, her two whiskers twitching as she grinned, eyes predatorily wide. Just as Schnurrbart slipped beneath the surface, she whipped around and plunged in after him, curling around him like a serpent of the deep. She hugged him from behind and tickled his moustache with her mane.
