A little 'bout me : Well I'm really good at english. I've been drawing since 12 soo I'm a bit good, but I surely got a lot ta learn right?. I'm basically online 24/7 untill summer's over. Location: TX is home, currently stuck at a bad place.
A Little About Me: I don't draw, heck, I can't draw (my stick figure has been confused for everything from Celtic Symbols to certain letters of the alphabet), and I'm not all that sharp with Photoshop either. WAIT, don't kick me out of here yet! I'm a writer of sorts, and is trying to find someone who may be interested in working with me on a manga/comic idea.

Also, I'm on sort of a talent hunt right now for an e-zine that's scheduled to be launched in the near future. Since this guild has a great concentration of artitists, I thought I'd poke my head in here and look around. Opinion/contribution wise that I would make for the guild would mostly be from a consumer point of view as oppose to a colleague.

Anime and Manga!: Everything, almost. My first memory of shows I've seen on TV was Macross back in 1985 (right about the time I learned how to talk), and I hadn't stopped since then. Being a guy, I'm drawn to the mecha/violence/fan-service-licious shows and manga. I have also been known to fall into the dark side (shojo) now and then, most recently with xxxHolics and Tsubasa, I also watch hentai sometimes for laughs.

Hobbies: Anime, manga, writing, sampling fine Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearm products, and video games.

Hobbies: Geeky computer s**t (y'know, gaming, forum activity, downloading, programming and stuff), chatting over the phone with my best female friend, going to parties*, anime of course, listening to rap and any kind of metal (especially death metal... YAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!! ninja ) and magazines**. I use to play the piano or draw when I'm bored. I'm also writing my own story, about some Russian reporter who gets abducted by the Chechen government, tortured, tossed into the desert in the Azerbaijan-Iraq border, rescued by some bedouine tribe, and starts a rebellion.

** I have some plastic, book-style magazine holders with about 1 m of roughly 7 years of Club Nintendo magazines, and a 30 cm stack of Master Player and one or two Atomix, EGM, Automovil and Muy Interesante magazines.

Has been drawing ever since: 1 year or 1 week, depending on how you look at it. I never drew much in elementary school, claiming I had no creativity (it used to take me like 30 minutes to think about what to draw), and by 5th grade I could barely draw a stick figure. Drawing skills improved somewhat in art class in high school, then I completely stopped drawing in the 2 first college years, being my only drawings a little comic I did for an "academic skills" class, and another I did as a philosophy homework (I still remember it, it was about Plato's horse-driven chariot analogy). In the last year, since I was in the engineering area, I had tech drawing class, which helped me grab enuff skill with the pencil and, mostly, with straight lines, basic figures, and perspective. In the last 3 months, I've been watching the drawings and wallies made by users in Minitokyo (and lately, Gaia) and been drooling over them, always "WTF!? How can you guys do such nice drawings!?!?!? Man, I sux0r reeeeal bad, I wish I could draw like you". I recently managed to shake off the "I suck" syndrome... I don't draw as nice as many of you guys, but at least I can draw more than a stick figure :3

As a final thought, based on what my German teacher said, I'm sure many of us don't draw because they feel embarrased about their drawing skills, and I'm glad this guild exists as a place where people without enough skills can post their art without any fear of getting burned to death by searing flames. I'm also sure many have some thing they would really like to draw, but can't because they don't feel skilled enough; like me, I've been thinking about anime-US stuff crossovers. Examples: Inuyasha with E.R. (imagine Dr. Inuyasha Carter and Dr. Sesshomaru Romano rofl rofl ), or SE Lain with The Fast and the Furious (imagine Lain Iwakura running a fast blazin' Porsche 911 vs. Arisu Mizuki's bangin' Chevy Corvette).
