Myobi tried to recall what the Kusakage had told her about this part of her training. She was supposed to use her enhanced awareness of the clone's attack to deflect the punch. She nodded that she was ready. Immediately, the clone came in fast with a swift punch aimed at her chin. Her eyes followed everything. At the last minute, she jerked her head to one side and tried to catch the punch. She vividly recalled how painful the clone's assaults could be. Her jaw still ached from the last time...She did not intend to be hit again.

Having rested and rejuvinated, Myobi felt much better. This was quite evident when she successfully directed the clone's punch. She was not, however, given a chance to celebrate. Unlike the last exercise, she was not given even a moment. After all, the clone had two hands. The next punch flew towards her cheek before the first had finished falling. Myobi had to think fast and react even faster. She again jerked her head -- in the opposite direction this time -- and brought up her hand to deflect the attack. Her eyes were wide, straining to catch sight of anything that moved.

She was unprepared for the clone's second attack. The blow clipped her left cheek. She blinked several times to force back tears of pain, but otherwise did not react. She didn't have time. The third punch was already on its way. Myobi didn't waste time trying to dodge this one. She merely attempted to intercept the attack with her hand. If she could, she would deflect it to one side or the other and would remain unharmed.

She still couldn't keep up with clone's speed. She took the full force of this blow. Her head snapped back. She gasped with the pain of it. And still the clone came. She desperately threw her hand up to try and catch the next punch. The clone had no sympathy for her bruised jaw or her reddened cheek. It had no sympathy for her teary eyes. And it certainly wasn't going to give her time to catch her breath. She could only hope for the best.

She allowed herself a brief sigh of relief as she caught the punch. By the time her hand had thrown the clone's failed punch to one side, she was already looking for the next attack. She would keep up with the clone. This could only make her better. She saw the attack coming and tried to judge the trajectory as she had in the first exercise. This was supposed to be a building process. Where every step lead naturally to the next.

She wasn't able to catch this one. It hit her full force in the temples, causing her vision to swim sickeningly. She shook her head slightly to clear her sight. Ugh. She tried hard to focus on the next incoming punch. It was harder with her sight dancing around as it was. She seemed to see colored waves flowing over reality.

The next punch took her just below and to the right of her nose. Her lip split open, bleeding slightly. She immediately returned her focus to the clone and its next attack. She was unconcerned with her physical appearance. What use had she with beauty, in any case? It was far better to get a little roughed up and complete the training. Or so she rationalized. The punches weren't getting any easier to catch or deflect. Her accuracy was proving rather sporadic. Ah, well. She was determined to try.

She had almost caught the punch. But it slipped past her guard, catching her in the throat. She sank to her knees, choking. After several tense seconds, she began breathing normally if a little heavily. She hung her head. That was enough. She was not strong enough to continue any longer. Her face -- for once -- showed a hint of emotion. She seemed dejected. She was only a student. And this taijutsu was hard for her. Made even more so by the fact that she was not skilled in any physical arena. Shamefaced, she returned to Kusakage, explaining her situation. Then, as quickly as politeness allowed, she rushed home. Being around her family would definitely make her feel better.

Drakyn, having completed the training, waited for the Kage' response. In the mean time, he was still breathing a bit hard, and was contempt to just sit there and rest for a bit.

"Alright Drakyn," Kusakage-sama said as she walked over to the boy who had finished his training. "Let's do a practice round, you and I, to see how far you've come," she told him creating a water clone that resembled the young boy. Oh, how she wished she could spar him herself, but she was a little afraid of hurting the young boy. Perhaps, when he got older they would have a little spar.

[I'm here to practice that Dodging palm stuff. Momakage wanna set out some criteria for me? ^-^]
Aya entered the training grounds where different levels of ninja were training. She had never trained around genins before. It had always been her and her friends. Inching more towards her mother, she tugged on the woman's kimono as she spoke with a boy. "I've come to practing the Dodging Palm Taijutsu, Moma," she said with a little quietness in her voice which was unusual for the girl.

Drakyn stood up as the Kage addressed him. He was quite surprised to hear that she wanted a practice round, but even more so when the clone was made. He wasn't to sure of what was going to happen, but he trusted the Kage. He still hurt slightly in a few places, but still anxiously watched and waited to see what the Kasukage was up too. Somewhere in the back of his mind he noticed that he hadn't said hardly anything this entire time, not so much out of shyness as he had been completely wrapped up in the training. However, even though he had an opportunity to speak now, he remained silent. He was far too curious about what the Kage was up to, And he had learned that often the best way to solve that is to just be quite and watch.

The Kusakage was about ready to start the attack when she felt a little tug on her kimono. Looking down, she saw her little Aya. Her blue swirling eyes were looking straight back at Tenmoki. It was rare for her to see Aya so shy. Smiling, Tenmoki said, "I'll be with you in a moment, sweetie." Her attention turned back at Drakyn ready for the first move. "Begin," she said quietly, making the water clone move. Not wanting to waste anymore time, she hd Drakyn's clone move forward with a low punch to the side of his stomach which would come up and aim for his ribs.
