Professor Birch looked up from from his work for a moment and nodded. "But of course young...man..." he said as he caught sight of the boys tail. Even as a man of science himself, it was highly unusual to see such a sight. He walked over to his desk and retrieved a Pokeball. He picked up a small tray from beside his computer and walked over to the young man. Opening the Pokeball, the small Grass type emerged from within. "Twig!" it cried happily. "This is your new partner young man. I hope you treat it well and become good friends and partners." he told the boy as he handed him the Pokemon's ball. Holding out the tray, it contained a small handful of Pokeballs, Potions, a Poketch, a PokeNav and a PokeDex. ((You can have one or both navigation devices and choose whatever color you like for them.)) He also held out a bag to carry it all in, just in case the boy didn't have one of his own.  Turtwig Lv. 5 Hp 40 Tackle-20 Withdraw-5 {{Oh, and you may want your character to meet up with mine. Kaya and Vhan are both gay. They're in Canalave with Kaya's Fiance and best friend on their way to Iron Island. When Proffessor birch gave him all the other things, in addition to the turtwig, -who was currently rubbing her head against his leg - Felix was surprised into doing something he usually didn't. "Thank you..." he said, before he realized what had come out of his mouth, and when he did, a faint stain of color rose to his cheeks and his black ears flattened to lie tight against his head. He quickly took the bag, shoved all the new technology into the bag and left before he could do something else further out of character.
{{Thank you for that information. x3 I'd be more than happy to meet up with you, but how would I get to Canalave? Going by the games, you need to know surf to get there, correct?
Another question; Since Felix is part meowth, would he gain experience and learn moves like a meowth would?}}

((You are more than welcome to have him do so. Many of our trainers are using a system I implemented so that our Trainers can have Pokemon styles battles between themselves instead of always having Pokemon battles. However, in doing so, Trainers are only allowed to use their own abilities in Trainer battles or against one another. So you can't train yourself in a battle against a wild pokemon aside from normal Exp gain.
And The rules of transportation are waived during plots and events. It just so happens that we have one going now. And as long as you're with a Mod, they'll allow you special transportation if you don't already have the one you need. There's two of us in Canalave. Kay.))

Entering the lab, Anklina stood Idle waiting for the professor. She couldn't wait to start her journey, even if she should have started when she was ten. She wondered where everyone in her class was by now. She'd seen only one of her friends leave with an infernape from her grandmothers shop, she'd not recognized Anklina so that was good.
Looking up twords the proffessor she couldn't wait anylonger. She wanted to get away from all the men in the room. "Sir, Could I have a Piplup please?" She asked after tapping his shoulder weakly. She backed up before he'd get the chance to face her. She didn't want to be near him..... frankly he scared her, even from behind.

Rowan turned his head to see the young girl behind him. "Oh, my apologies young lady. I didn't hear you come in." he told her with a gruff smile. "A Piplup you say?" he asked her, just to make sure he'd heard correctly. "I believe we still have a few of them without trainers." he added as he turned around and headed toward a desk against the wall. Opening the desk drawer, he rummaged through it for a moment before withdrawing a Pokeball. He called over one of his assistants and sent them on an errand before turning back to the young girl. "Here you are young lady." he told her as he handed her the Pokeball. "Your Piplup is inside that Pokeball. Feel free to get acquainted with it at your leisure." he told her as his assistant returned. The man presented Anklina with a small tray with several Pokeballs, several Potions, a Pokedex and a Poketch on it. He also held a bag in his hand in case she needed one. Anklina has received:  Piplup Lv. 5 HP 40 Pound-20 Growl-10

Bowing kindly she accepted everything but the bag. She motioned that her stuffed toy, the cat-like, bat-winged thing she was holding onto was a bag. Unzipping it she placed everything in it. Moving the Pokedex to the front pocket which she left open. After everything was placed where she wanted it she took te poke'ball, gave one last bow and another thank you then left. She was so happy to start her journy, she really wanted to meet piplup quickly.

Rios walked up to the door to Professor Rowan's place and went inside for today was the day he got his first Pokemon. He got to the Professor and tapped him on the shoulder. "Hey there Professor, was up? I'm here for my first Pokemon." Rios smiled like it was Christmas. "I would like a Chimchar please." He was ancy but he couldn't wait to get a Chimchar.

Here is your new partner," he explained, handing the Pokeball over, along with a Pokedex, some empty Pokeballs, and some Potions to get things started. ((It's okay. I'm also guessing that the potions and Pokeballs are the same amount as the games, 5.))
Rios took the Pokeball with Chimchar and held it in his right hand. He put the Pokedex, 5 Pokeballs, and the 5 Potions in his bag. "Thank you Professor." Rios held the Pokeball containing Chimchar and pointed it at the floor. "Go Chimchar." Chimchar came out and looked up at Rios. "Hey there little guy, it's time to become friends." He smiled and Chimchar jumped onto Rios' head. "Chimy." "Well I guess you found a nice perch." Rios smiled and waved to the Professor as he left the place with Chimchar on his head.
((Also how do I get the picture of Chimchar and stuff? ))

{{Actually no, basic Pokeballs and Potions are unlimited here. Everything else has a limited number of them. Check the Items List thread on the Main Forum for the list of items, how and where to obtain them. And as for the image, click Quote on the post with it's sprite, then copy the text in the

 Entering the vast lab, the young women dressed down in Ninja-style clothing saught out the Professor. She was holding onto a peice of paper that had his name, picture, and other important stuff that Ginja would not have remembered if not she was holding onto the paper. Looking down at the paper, she smiled. She'd spoted the person that looked like the picture. Looking up she approached him tapping his shoulder. "Hello, Professor!" She started. "Could I please have a Turtwig!" She finished folding up the useless paper, and throwing it away.

Professor Rowan looked up from his work and looked at the young girl in his lab. "Turtwig, eh?" he asked for clarification. He tapped his chin as he thought for a moment, then walked over to a table and retrieved a Pokeball from a drawer in it. Opening another drawer, he retrieved several empty Pokeballs and a few Potions. He took a PokeDex and a PokeNav from atop the second desk and then returned to her. "Here is your Turtwig." he told her as he handed her the occupied Pokeball. "And these should be plenty to get you started on your journey." he said as he handed her the other items. He gave her a quick explanation on how the objects worked, just in case she didn't know, before he let her to her own devices. She was free to leave whenever she wanted now. A young boy walked into the research lab. A smile upon his face. Lots of work was going on, many researchers working on big things, small things even medium sized things. The boy walked upto the main desk. "Hello, I'm here to request my starter pokemon. I was hoping to obtain a Chimchar, preferably Male, yet I will take either of the two sexes." His smile was so innocent and charming, he awaited a reply.
