Notoka stood stock still, waiting for Lera to return from the otherside of the river, his eyes dulled as opposed to their usually fiery spark. He was tired and upset over the untimely death of Lewain and didn't bother to try and hide it all that well. Still that mournful howl burned in his chest, begging to be released.
Let's go, he growled, turning away from the river now and moving into a smooth loping trot, ears pulled forward agressively as he struggled not to explode into snarls and biting or dissolving into spasms of anguish. He didn't bother to look to see if Lera or Silva were at his tail.

Lera made sure to cross the river quickly, as to not lose Notoka or Silva. She was surefooted in the river, and crossed succesfully shaking her coat free of any water before continuing after them. And eerie silence hung in the air and Lera watched Notoka's posture warily.
Not too long after they started was Lera becimming very tired. Her head throbbed and her legs ached. The morning's events had worn her down for the day. She felt as if the forest was twisting, contorting before them.
"Notoka..." she panted, "I need to rest."

Notoka pinned his ears back now and growled as Lera requested they stop, nearly telling her that they wouldn't stop until his paws were once again in front of his den, but he slowed his pace anyway and came to a stop not much later, his own chest heaving.
How long, he inquired instead, forcing the steel out of his voice only because he didn't feel his agression and dispair was meant for Lera's ears. It was something he'd deal with on his own.

Lera slowed almost at one and sat herself down. The ground and air were cold, but Lera's body was hot as she panted for a breath of cool air. "As little time I need, I assure you," she sad, gasping for breaths inbetween her words. "We came into this with some stones in our paws, and left with a bloody limb and no paw at all. What do you plan to do, Notoka?" She questioned as she laid herself and her head down on the ground.

I don't know, he said through gritted teeth, his tail arched tightly over his back. What -can- I do? I can't change what's happened. The muscles at his jaws twitched spasmically a moment before he too dropped to the ground, waiting for Silva to join him (I'm assuming she would. c_c )) and looking across at Lera.

Lera frowned as she felt her eyelids become heavy. She, too, waited for Silva, but she could no longer keep herself from falling asleep. They shut, as she dozed off into a light 'cat nap.' Unfortunatly for her blood started to once again drip from her nose.
Lera dreamed of beautiful butterflies and meadows, somethin that was starkly contrasting from what was going on right now.
((lera's only taking a very small nap, she'll wake up in like...one, maybe two posts))

Notoka didn't sleep....he just stared off into space, his face expressionless as he did so. He didn't need the rest that Lera did.

Lera awoke only minutes after, not feeling refreshed at all. "I'm ready," she lied, wishing she could get more sleep, but know that some sleep in the 'old territory' would feel even more satisfying. Lera quickly licked the red fluid off of her maw and shook her paws back to life. It was cold, and Lera needed to keep her joints moving.

Notoka got to his feet without a word and motioned for the she-wolves to follow, not bothering with any pleasantries. He didn't have it in him for that right now. His feet once again drummed the earth as he weaved through the trees, heading for familiar ground. Nothing visible was familiar, but the scents might be. The smells were faintly wolf-like, some semi-familiar....others not quite.

Soon the gentle burble of the river that they had crossed to get to the new territory drifted to Notoka's ears and this only spurred his running pace to quicken despite the pain in the pads of his feet from hitting falling sticks and whatnot. He needed familiarity now.
He paused briefly at the river's edge and paced down the bank for a span of time, eyes locked on the shallows as he looked for a place where they could safely cross. This male did not want to nearly drown again.

Lera took this time to sit on the back and catch her breath as she watched Notoka search for the shallows. Her pink tongue lolled out of her mouth as her ears quivered from the cold. She ignored the pain in her head as she waited.

Silva had caught up to them whilst Lera had rested, some small part of her had made her stay at the Seer's location for a while longer. Not only was there blood to be scented but something else - something almost familiar. But she hadnt managed to put her paw on what it was and soon left, eager to catch them up. She appeared at his side as he was looking at the river.

Soon he found a place that looked safe enough and swung his head around to look at Lera.
Coming? he asked, his tone bland at first. If you don't want to come yet, you should be able to find your way. But I need to get away from here. And the water.
His voice was now pained as he turned to look at Silva, trying to find reassurance in her presence. And are you going to cross now too?

Lera shook her head sadly, "No, I think I shall stay here for a while longer," Lera looked to Silva to see if she would stay or go, it would be nice to have some company.
