Aureus went to his Echo's side and the two of them watched attentively, wondering if Euphrasia needed anything.

The golden twin chuckled, "You'll be up and about in no time, don't worry." His smile was warm, confident as he nodded reassuringly.

Jaenelle gazed over The Golden One and couldn't help but feel as though his hopeful optimism was wasted on her. Such cheery people made her want to roll her eyes, though she resisted with much force. She didn't bother returning the smile.

"I am quite aware, Aureus, thank you. Judging by how fast your approach to my bedside was," she said as she nodded to Euphrasia, "I can hazzard a guess that I've been here longer than your normal patients. Obviously that means I've had enough forced sleep. I am ready to go back to my classes. No telling how much I've missed by now..." The last was said in a lowered voice, although it was undoubtedly the most true emotion she'd shown yet.

Aureus frowned slightly, but shrugged the comments off. She wanted to return to the life she'd previously know, it was understandable. He nodded to indicate Euphrasia, "You'd best wait until you've the all clear then.." he fell silent as he brother finished his sentence.

"..besides, you've plenty of time to catch-up or start fresh - several new zeros have arrived recently and I'm sure they'll make excellent classmates." Argentum nodded as he spoke, leaning against Aureus. "Don't fret. You haven't been entirely set back by your absence. Determined as you are, you'll make up the lost ground soon enough."

Jaenelle couldn't stop the grimace that took control of her face. The thought of having to start all over would have been enough to make her leap out of the bed right then, but the thought of her current classmates going ahead without her was more than she could bare. Her wide eyes stared forward. The mere thought of not transcending with even the most ignorant Zeros of her age was unacceptable.

She decided then and there that no matter how many extracurricular hours it took, she would catch up to the others. No way would she allow them all to pass over her. Jaenelle's fist clenched together, resolved.

"Yes, I shall have to go to the Teacher's Lounge straight away for additional tutoring. No telling how many classes I've missed already!" Her voice was a pitch below frantic.

Euphrasia nodded understandingly and trilled in her throat. "Tut-tut....these things do happen." The healer murmured, sinking down at the edge of the bed in a rustle of skirts and shawls. She glanced over her shoulder to the twins. "Could you fetch some Cassia and some Allamanda?" Then she turned back to her charge and gave a warm, loving smile. "Don't you worry dear, we'll have you back on your feet soon enough. In the meantime, we'll treat that coldness and see what we can do about those scars, mm?"

((These things do happen. XD Until you stop these things happening, THIS thing does not happen!! Sorry, couldn't resist.))

Euphrasia's logic acted like a soothing balm. Jaenelle's fist unclenched while her body relaxed more on the bed. Feeling the frozen tips of her fingers against bare skin made her shiver, and finally made her grateful she was being tended to by somebody competent. It was also true that she didn't want these scars forever. No telling how many people would stop to gawk at them and ask her to regale the sordid adventure. Well, she could do without that thankyouverymuch.

Placated, Jaenelle took a deep breath and moved her arms under the blanket. "Thank you, Madam." she said politely. No matter how cross Jaenelle could become, hell would have frozen over if she were ever rude to an authority figure. "I don't suppose...Do you know how many classes have gone by while I was here?" she asked hopefully.

They nodded in unison and moved off to fetch the appropriate things. They noted the change in attitude as they left, however, and shared a knowing smile as the rummaged through the medicine cabinet. At last, they found the Cassia and Allamanda.

Each carrying a bottle of the desired items, Aureus and Argentum returned to Euphrasia's side, holding the jars out to the Nurse. "There you are." They smiled as well, and then stepped back to wait attentively.

((If the speech isn't coloured, they're speaking at the same time. x3 ))

Euphrasia took the jars from her Nurses with a smile and an appreciative nod and thenturned towards her patient. "Oh, I haven't the faintest, dear. I'm not a professor. But don't you fret, we're in Free Period now, so once you're out you can be free to head to the Teacher's Lounge and look into making up some of the classes you've missed." While talking, Euphrasia opened up the Cassia and scooped out a dollop on the tip of a facecloth and leaned forward to begin rubbing the salve on Jeanelle's chest. "This will warm you up in no time." She explained, and handed the jar back to Aureus. Then, using a fresh cloth, she dabbed some Allamanda tincture on the fabric and folded it into a neat square. "You just keep this on your pillow, and if you feel yourself fretting or agitated, just give this cloth a sniff, and the fragrance will calm you, alright?" She handed the remainer of the bottle to Argentum and smiled down at Jeanelle. "If you just have a little nap, when you wake, you'll feel right as rain again."

Jaenelle was a bit apprehensive as Euphrasia rubbed the cream on her chest, but realized that as soon as it was put on her body in that one spot already felt warmer. The cream didn't even smell bad, so Jaenelle relaxed against her touch. She took a tentative sniff of the cloth on her pillow and felt even more relaxed, balanced.

However, she couldn't completely relax and looked back to Euphrasia. "Since I have the cream, couldn't I just take the cloth with me and leave?" she asked hopefully.

Euphrasia chuckled softly and shook her head. "The harder you push yourself now, the longer you'll be stuck in that bed. It's best you let yourself sleep for even an hour and let these medicines do their work." She smiled kindly and indicated the Allamanda cloth. "If you yet wish to bring the Allamanda with you, by all means do so." Euphrasia shifted back to her feet in a rustle of skirts and placed a gentle hand upon Jeanelle's brow. "But for now, sleep, and when you wake you will feel much more like your old self in body, spirit and mind."

For a brief moment, Jaenelle allowed herself the fantasy of getting up and out of the bed on her own power and walking past all three of them straight out of the Infimary. That little scenario was testament enough to her curent state of mind. Imagining herself disobeying the orders of an adult Empyrean was perposterous.

Resigned, she allowed herself a grumpy look as she tried to find a more comfortable position on the bed. The cloth did smell nice and so she left it where it was. Her body was slowly reacting to the cream, but since she was still cold around the edges she obligingly squirmed and wriggled until the only visable part of her body was the head.

Finally, with much eye rolling, Jaenelle tried to fall asleep.

The twins obediently took the items from Euphrasia and gave Jaenelle caring looks. Even though she'd been a bit rough, it hadn't bothered them. They knew they'd be rather grumpy as well if they'd been set back like she was. With a soft pat on the bed, they departed to replace the goods they'd brought as it wouldn't do to forget and then need the medicines again only to have to go looking for it.

Aureus chuckled and shook his head as he placed the jar back in the cupboard, "Feisty."

Handing his jar to the other, Argentum nodded, "I'm almost afraid of when she wakes up again and can move around." They smiled and laughed softy before returning to the bed.

"Anything else?" It was a question directed both as Jaenelle and Euphrasia.

Jaenelle had pursed her lips together when she realized sleep wasn't coming to her without a fight. Frustrated, she tossed and turned to try and find a comfortable position on the bed. It felt as though her legs were upset that they were not to be used as quickly as they would like. The feeling left her wiggling her toes.

Snarling silently, she opened her eyes in time to see the Echoes return and heard their question. Jaenelle plopped her arms on the outside of the blankets on either side of her body. "Well, I don't suppose you have any medicine that could...knock me out?" she inquired hopefully.

"Most likely." Aureus replied as they were addressed, "However, that decision is Euphrasia's, not ours." He smiled and glanced at the Three.

"If you can sleep without medication that would be best. We have soothing teas and balms that assist in going to sleep, if you would like those." Argentum didn't hurry off to retrieve said items, however, and waited upon Euphrasia's decision. He knew she would likely suggest such a thing but it was always better to be safe then jump to conclusions.

Euphrasia knit her brows. It was always the studious ones that put up a fight. The haphazard Sanguines and flighty Phlegmatics were quite content to lounge about as long as was allowed, but not this one. "Loves," Euphrasia murmured, turning to her Nurses. "If you would mix up 25ml of Hops, 50ml Valerian Root tincture and 50ml St. John's Wort in some Brandy, please? A sleeping draught may jsut be in order."
