((I debated having outside of regular RP versus within RP, and I've decided to have it outside of regular RP so as not to disturb current RPs going on elsewhere. ^^))

((Of course you can both join in on this next one. The prize is dependant on whether or not a current player gets it. (two different options depending) As for the results from the winners of the Challenges, I'm posting them on the front page of the shop thread. As for the Cicus tortoise, Taranian won that one. Two-headed turtle!! eek ))

~The Concert~
Oh flee for your lives who heed me not Let all your treasures make you fear for your life Deceive you not the fires of hell will take you Should death await you!!
Nehna belted out the verse with intesity, as as the words formed on her lips, the white death-mist curled up around her, partially obscuring her with its semi-transparancy and formed the shape of a giant, looming skull. As "death await you" broke into the air, the jaws of the skull snapped shut aronud Nehna and then the mist melted back to the floor of the stage, curling around the wings and up the aisles.

(( Oooh! That's sounds like a cool prize! Congrats Taranian! ^_^))
Kallisto entered the Amphitheatre, wondering why she had decided to attend the concert. Song wasn't exactly her forte, after all, but one glance at the stage as the music's swells floated out made her forget any misgivings. She could appreciate beauty and this was certainly an opportunity for that even though upon further inspection, it was more of a terrible, ominous beauty. A sort of ethreal ambiance that wrapped about Kallisto and held her fast.
Not wanting to disturb anyone, she took a seat near the back and watched as a chilling fear overtook the audience. The crystal in the theatre resounded with the music, resonating with Kallisto and making her gasp. The shrieks from the direction of the mist made her thankful she wasn't within its grasp as the illusion of the theatre coming down around their ears cresdendoed.

((back!))
Amelia felt the fear grip her, and she could hardly breathe, her skin now turning cold like death itself. She shirked back in her chair, grabbing onto Grave's arm tightly, hoping he could assuage her fear.
But then again, it was Nehna's magic that was causing the reaction. She knew that, but couldn't help the shivers that racked her body. Not normally a fearful type, Amelia had rarely been this afraid--if ever.
She gasped for air, realizing she hadn't been breathing...

Grave was cringing along side Amelia, but he wrapped his arms about her slim shoulder and held her close to his chest, a small vestige of heat remaining trapped between their throats and chests. Grave was absolutely enchanted, and even in his terror he could not - and truly, was not willing to - tear his eyes from the morbid spectacles unravelling across te stage. This was more than just a concert...this was an entire performance, of music, of magic, or visual spectacle, of emotional rollercoasters.... Grave's heart was pounding inside his chest so loudly, he could hear it in hs ears even above the cacophany of music suffusing him.

~The Concert~
And then Nehna's voice split into two. It was as if her soul had lifted from her body, and in a shimmering mirage she stood beside herself, turned to her own ghostly visage, and the two halves of her began an fugue of sound. The duet rippled up and down the scales, and within it all, the story continued.
Ah people can you hear me? And now I know and now I know And now I know and now I know That you can hear me And now I know and now I know And now I know now I know Now I know now I know Now I know now I know Now I know The earth will shake in two will break Death all around around around around Around around around around Now I know now I know Now I know now I know Now I know now I know Now I know now I know Now I know now I know Now I know Wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo Listen to the wise listen to the wise listen to the wise Listen to the wise listen to the wise man La la La la la la la la La la la la la la La la la la la la La la la la la la La la la la la la La la la la la la La la La la La la Come here I hear you Come here I hear you Come here I hear you Ah ah ah ah ah Listen to the man listen to the man listen to the man listen to the mad man!!
as these clear and stacatto notes pierced the air, they pierced the mist, and the white blanketing everything began to dissipate, as if cleared by rain.... And sure enough, fat dropletsthat warmed the chilled flesh began to fall from the air as if the entire Amphitheater had ceased to possess a roof. But the roof remained, and no clouds had gathered within the theater.... Merely these fat raindrops, summoned by Nehna's bardic magic cleared away the mist, and instilled in the frozen audience some semblance of relief and comfort. The raindrops seemed to beat down in time with the notes of the arias, and each drop seemed to say "the storm is breaking...Fear not".

Kallisto's eyes opened wide, amazed and fearful. The story folded up around her, riveting her attention to the stage where the fog curled up into spectral images and sent a shiver down her spine. Waves of music washed over her, piercing her soul with its message and made her rock back in her seat, a white-knuckled grip anchoring her to the seat.
Unable to keep her eyes open, the music and the magic caught her up, filling her mind's eye with terrible images so real Kallisto was sure they could be touched. When Nehna's voice split, yet another shiver rocked her body as the haunting vocals carried her on an incredible roller coaster ride. Finger-tips tingling, Kallisto reached out to touch the spectres that occupied her vision, each singing with Nehna's pure voice and brought alive by the clinging notes.
As the first drops fell, a few landed on her hands and they curled up in response. As more fell, she revelled in the relief that seemed to caress her, coaxing out the fear and replacing it with a strange serenity that felt foreign after the magic of the performance.
