[RPG] Hana: Growth

Elly winced at first as the Daggers hilt fell so easily into his hand. He expected and waited for that all to familar and terrible burn but it never came. Suprised he looked at the weapon in question in his palm.
Where a dingy iron weapon should have sat was a bright and warm silver one. Elly mentaly kicked himself, he'd forgotten that all iron was turned to silver in the Relam of Faerie.

Relived he scrambled up to his heels, staying crouched to the ground, keeping himself infront of Sarya to protect her.
"Look here reptile, we owe you no gift! Your audience with us is a gift in itself! Not that you possess the wit to understand who we are!" Elly puffed up a little with a soft hiss. "So Unless you want the gift of death, scram or we'll send you back to the pot serpent!!"

[Quinth]

The snake twisted and curled in a circle around the trio rapidly, his head at their backs and nearing Sarya, who had no weapon. The little girl hunched in on herself into a tiny ball and just cried uselessly. As Elly and Lahn both prepared to fight the creature, the Ambassador opened its jaws and out came-

“Oh, excuse me! YOOHOO~” cheered the jolliest, gayest man’s voice ever heard. Heads turned to spy a tan faerie with troll-sized pink butterfly wings and hardly any clothes at all. The strange man’s nose was more a feeler and two antennae protruded where his long, downward-slanting ears joined his head. The feeler flickered out and the faerie smiled happily. “Ambassador?”

“What,” snapped the faerie angrily, baring teeth.

The faerie jumped down from his mount, which was a pony-sized green snail in a large pink shell with yellow druidic markings scribbled everywhere. The butterfly man’s privates were only just hidden by the long purple boots he wore, which matched the large purple collar and baggy purple sleeves he wore. From the baggy sleeves the faerie pulled out an envelope. “I have a delivery for you, from Her Majesty Queen Maeve.”

Noticing that the creature had no arms, and completely ignoring the three smaller beings, the butterfly man read aloud: “Her Most Royal Majesty Queen Maeve demands the presence of all the members of her court to be present for the birthing ceremony of her twenty-first child. Members of the Court of the Pits of Sharpest Frost must return home immediately for said ceremony or be prepared for Her Majesty’s own personal wrath when they return late.”

The snake cursed under its breath and, in a second, had disappeared through the trees. Only then did the man notice the trio from the Material Plane, and he smiled, bowed, and introduced himself. “Greetings and well met, all ye! I am Gregorio Butterfly, and this is my companion Druw. Are ye in need of assistance?”

Sarya hadn’t noticed any of the goings on and remained curled up and sniffling.

[Maeth]

Lahn studied the strange... rescuer.. and grimaced.
"Me thinks we were better off with the snake..* he muttered under his breath.

Elly brightened. He patted his cousins head to get her attention.
"Aye, thank you!" He chirped, standing tall from his defensive pose. "You came along in the nick of bells chime." He carfully tucked the dagger into a belt loop on his pants. "I'm Ellylone de Dirk." He bowed shortly. "And this is my cousin and that." he jerked his thumb at Lahn. "Is the dumb bard."
Elly grinned again. "And you and your companion are?"

"What a pleasure to meet you!" Gregorio gushed, his feeler flicking out at them wonderingly.

The snail began to grumble. "A gift of audience for a gift of audience, huzzah, now let's get moving, ya damn Butterfly."

Gregorio looked scandalized. "Druw! We give the gift of two audiences versus their three. We owe them!" He smiled brilliantly. "What is it you'd like in return, travelers?"

Sarya managed to stop crying and looked up at Elly's pat. "What's going on?" she whispered, looking up at him in confusion.

Elly grinned at her. "I'm getting us home." He looked back to the butterfly. "WEll were currently lost and since knowing where were going is almost as good as to knowing where we are can you show us the way to Fiddlers green?" Elly clapped. "Or the Court of Bright Spring if its closer! I have family in both.."
