The Theif of Always "Well, shame on me for not taking you literally," Theif said with a grin. "I kinda' like her, though. She was very...assertive." He tilted his head to the side, watching Malachite circulate the room. "And, good that I didn't scare...Rayen, you said? And, you also said, 'Him.' I hate to sound weird, but your Rayen doesn't smell male." Theif bit his lip, face warming a little.
~~~
Kiki gasped at Malachite swooping upon the little girls to hug them. Once he'd fluttered away, she thought on what Sauda said. "Boys prolly do have more fun, don't they?" In her mind, Kilayla went back to the books Theif had hidden from her. She looked at Sauda, and saw that the other girl looked flustered again. Maybe it was Malachite? Kiki was used to having Theif come down upon her in such the same manner, so it didn't bother her much.
After a second she added, "I like stuff that's weird. I don't know why Theif and your mom are worried." Kiki shrugged in a grand gesture, and threw her hands out. ((Sorry for the delay!))
Sauda's mother, thought fiercely protective, wasn't much for coddling her kids. She loved them all dearly, yes, but she knew that Sauda liked her space. Maybe it was just that Sauda was starting to notice boys more, so, any physical contact with them made her pleased, but a bit uncomfortable. Especially with a boy as pretty as that. But it was Malachite's birthday, and he wasn't doing it to purposely try and make her embarrassed--and besides, he was so beautiful that she was more awed than anything. She seemed to get over it fairly quickly, however.
"You do? Really?" That came as a shock; Sauda was obsessed with things that were deemed 'strange' for a girl to like. Zombies, video games, all sorts of stuff that most girls thought was weird. "I dunno either...maybe it has something to do with getting old." Yes, it was rude, but she considered her mother 'old'. Tsunake was apparently a lot older than she looked...and Sauda meant a LOT older. "Or maybe they're both just crazy, I dunno..." When the singing started, she joined in, looking amused to see Malachite turning a different shade.
Tsunake too, had joined in after a moment's hesitation. She didn't like singing too well. But if she did so quietly, no one could really hear her over the rest, so that was all right.
Dizzy's ear twitched as she sipped her drink. Now that everything seemed to be underway she realized she felt a bit... awkward. Now that just wasn't right. She glanced about the room looknig for someone to enteract with or a conversation she could politely drop in on. Her search was interuppted at the entrance of the cake. Dizzy felt her mouth water as the scent of chocolate hit her nose. She joined in the singing joyfully, scanning the crowd for Jazzie, the girl had dissapeared and knowing her, that might not be good.
Now, It may not have been good, but it wasn' nessicarily bad... Jazzie had been distracted yet again from the girls she was talking to after recieving the wonderful hug from Malachite. She'd hung around for a moment afterwards but the girls seemed to be talking amongst themselves, caught up in making plans to visit eachother. She made her way to the snack table, grabbing the edge and standing on her tiptoes to see clearly. She scanned the dishes, looking for something sweet. Her sweet of choise was found, not on the table, but being walked through the doorway. Her eye's glittered as the birthday song was sung.
The woman's optics shift easily over Theif quickly before she meets his hesitant gaze with a small smile, his unease understandable. Her dark locks spill easily over her shoulder as if made from satin while she leans her upper body slightly foreward in a friendly presence. Raising her dainty hand the Mau's purrs continue to shift from her throat.
"It is a pleasure to meet you Theif."
Her gaze does not waver from the hesitant creature in front of her as her tail easily sways to an unknown rhythem, sensing anothers presence near the birthday boy that was radiating a slight off balance.
"Oh, a dragon, eh?" Mako mused, imagining Luca having fun with such a beast. "Well, you might be aptly prepared then" he chuckled, nodding.
Grinning, Mako gladly joined in on the birthday song, eyeing the birthday boy and swaying in tune with the song.
Luca decidedly remained silent - he did not sing.
"Thank you, everyone," Malachite said once the song was over. He sauntered his way over to the cake and looked thoughtful, considering what his wish would be. He invited all the kiddlets and preteens over to help him blow out the candles. "There's too many for me to get all at once!" he explained.
"On three," Soco gave the count. "One... two... twoandahalf... twoandthreequarters..."
After he was sufficiently amused by the glares thrown his way, Soco yelled, "THREE!"
Macyn smiled but stood back from the crowd, he still felt a little out of place, everyone looked so happy and he briefly wondered if this was what a birthday felt like.
Leaning on the wall he kept smiling so he didn't bring anyone down, after all he was enjoying himself he just felt odd.
Kilayla clapped and laughed once Malachite blew out the birthday candles. He was so nice!
Kiki decided that she couldn't wait until her own birthday, because then, she'd have a party just as good as this one! She tilted her head, still smiling, and took Sauda by the hand. It was something she did naturally once she was comfortable enough with someone.
"I don't know if they're crazy. Maybe they are. I tell Theif all the time that he should stop wearing pants, and just wear skirts all the time, but he doesn't listen." She looked around distractedly, wondering where Soco was.
After spotting him, she asked Sauda absently, "Where'd Jazzie go--," but upon turning her head {which may have made her hair flare out and hit Sauda, she wasn't sure} she saw the other little girl. "Oh. Hey, Jazzie?" she asked, shyly. Jazzie still seemed a little intimidating to her. "Wanna' come with me and Sauda to talk to Soco?"
~~~
Theif's eyes shifted off for a second, and he realized that the woman offering her hand to him reminded him rather strongly of someone he'd known a long time ago. He put the thought out of his mind and took her hand. He brought it to his lips as if he were going to kiss it, but rubbed his cheek gently against the back of her hand instead.
He then stood back and smiled, wrapping his tail loosely around his left leg, and resisted the urge to cling to Adrian. Theif had only been being polite, and was still uneasy, even though he now knew why.
And then the cake was wheeled out. Theif lost himself in the moment -- he loved celebrations such as these, and sang with his whole heart. When the birthday song was over, he looked around and hoped he hadn't been singing too loud. His face warmed again.

spyder had stayed sitting and ended up falling asleep during the birthday song. not on purpose of course, just kinda got a little to relaxed there on the floor. but she did manage to have her plate on the floor before she fell asleep.
hobo quikly scribbled his number onto the wrapping paper underneath all the stuff macyn wrote, trying his damndest to keep it legible. when the cake was brought out he just mouthed along with the song and plopped on the floor next to the leaning macyn, with a slight detached look on his face. he had been reminded of many parties gone awry and was thinking about future ones.

After the smoke had cleared, the cake was, thankfully, still in one piece. But not for long, because Hana produced a knife and a cake server and handed them over to the birthday boy. Kaleb hoverd, holding plates as the pieces were cut and dished out.
Kaleb took one over to Macyn, and asked, "Why couldn't the glass fool anyone?" Without waiting for an answer, he continued, "Because they could see right through him." He then pushed the plate into the boy's hand, and gave one to Hobo beside him, and then wandered off to deliver more cake.
Malachite handed a couple of plates of cake to the girls as they wandered past on their way to see Soco. He smirked, but said nothing to tip the maid off.
Adrian watched Theif's polite display, and then sang loudly with him during the song. That way they could share the blame of singing too loud, should anyone accuse them. He glanced down at the woman on the floor, only to find her passed out there. He set her plate on the nearby table and then picked her up. He carried her over into the front room and laid her out on one of the couches. He checked her vitals and temperature -- she'd be fine for a little while, right?
Once Kaleb had made his rounds -- insisting that Lucavi take a piece of cake to improve his disposition -- he stood in the middle of the room and half-heartedly announced, "After cake, we'll have presents or a game or something."

-Her brow arches a milimeter up in slight confusion at the odd greeting, used to people shaking her hand rather then brushing their cheek against it. Figuring he was just being polite if the nervous gesture with his tail wrapped around his thigh indicated anything at all, Ami simply gave him a warm smile and shifted her hand to her side where it was before when he let go. Her tail twitches back and forth in quick little surges as if she was resisting the urge to burst with energy and go exploring. Forcing her body to relax her mouth twists into a genuine grin as the guys begin to sing at the top of their lungs, covering her lips with her soft palm as she giggles at their antics.
Soft emerald ears perk foreward at the word 'cake' pale green slanting to see the beautifully decorated dessert in the middle of the dinning room where the birthday boy was handing out several slices to several of the girls that littered the general area. Her mind finally focused on the fact that there were a lot of creatures here. Her eyes drift out of focus once again as if she were thinking on that fact.-

Macyn blinked and almost dropped his plate. Catching it he looked at Kaleb, that was well intresting to say the least.Looking at the plat of cake he smiled, no where were there forks? Looking over at the table that held the other food he spotted forks, grabbing one he sampled the cake.

hobo took the plate and smiled at the joke, though he didn't laugh. he wasn't sure if it was directed as an insult or just because. he picked the cake up off the plate and started munching on it.

Jazzie turned as she heard her name called. She shot a quick glance back at the cake before walking over to the girls she had just met. "Soco? Sure! Let's go!" She didn't know who soco was, but if Kiki and Sauda wanted to talk with them then she couldn't think of any reason he might not be nice! "Thank you!" She said with a bright smile to Malachite as he handed them the plates of cake.
Dizzy stepped up into the quickly moving line to get cake. "Thanks" She said as she recieved hers, stepping to the side to allow others the chance at it. She took a small bite, internally melting with happiness at the sweet taste. She grinned broadly a low chuckle escaping her throat.

Sauda giggled quietly at the thought of the shy, kitty-man wearing being told to wear skirts all the time. She had never really met him, or spoken to him, but she liked how he looked. Though, she would admit, she did have an urge to pet him at least once--just to see if he'd purr like a kitty-cat too.
She returned the smile warmly, perfectly content to hold Kiki's hand, swinging her arm gently as she hummed to herself. She felt at ease nwo, her mood slipping into a confident, almost dreamy sort of one.
"I dunno, over there I think..." She didn't really mind as she got whacked gently in the face with those soft curls--it gave her an excuse to reach up and touch them. Yup, they were as silky and fluffy as she thought they would be, and, after giving them a few more absent-minded pets, her hand dropped back down to her side.
Sauda grinned at Jazzie, pleased to have an excuse to go talk to the bunny-maid some more. He was nice too. "Thank you." She said shyly to Malachite, letting out a quiet 'ooooh' at the green icing. Ohh, and it was just as good as it looked. She was grinning as well--she'd have to pester Tsunake and see if they could have cake more often.

Thief grinned, but didn't get any cake. He was allergic to milk, and didn't want to take the chance of ingesting some by proxy of the cake. He instead went and curled himself into a nearby chair and contented himself with simply watching everyone else. He let his tail thwap gently against the arm rest.
~~~
Kiki, however {not really taking notice of the fingers running over her hair} stuck her own finger into the slice she was presented with, then laughed while she cleaned the cake off her finger. It tasted a little strange to her; she was used to dairy-free things. She still liked it though, so she took the plate with the cake in it in her other hand.
After a second, Kilayla realized that she didn't have a hand to offer the other little girl, so she put down her cake on the table and took Jazzie's arm in her's. "Soco's right there," she said, smiling, and heading in the boy-maid's direction.
Taking care not to run screaming into anyone, Kiki steered the three so that they were standing in a semi-circle around Soco. "Hi, Soco!" Kilayla chirruped. She'd completely forgotten what it is she'd wanted to say to him.
