||"That was stupid" must be Boan's favorite line. XD||
This soup was pretty damn good. It was warm and the ingredients were fresh and left you with a full feeling. Blade wiped her mouth with a small cloth before leaning back in her chair and taking in a deep, happy breath. That was damn good soup. She lifted her head up when she heard someone walk in and saw that it was Boan, distracting her from her happy thoughts. It looked as if he was getting a room, and when he walked off towards the stairs she knew that she was correct. Then he came back down and went to the bar. Alchohal was good when the occasion called for it. Blade smacked her lips before she got up from her chair, trusting that one of the people who worked in the inn would pick up her bowl soon. She strolled over and took a seat next to him, placing her elbows on the bar as she leaned forward.
"It's really wierd that I've met you again after all of the years." Blade stated as she reached up and started playing with some of her short pieces of hair. "Maybe it hasn't been so long, but when you're traveling around a lot it sure as hell does." When the bartender came up and asked what they wanted Blade just asked for a drink with as the least amount of alchohal. Blade had drank too much once and almost burned an entire building down. After that event she'd learned that whenever she drank it should just be enough to make her head feel a little lighter and nothing else.
"I can still remember that one time when you saw me naked. I was furious." Blade laughed, remembering how she'd thrown everything that was in reach at Boan's head. "After that I learned to always lock my door when I was taking a bath. I don't think that I'd ever been so embarrased in my life! Oh, and I never paid you back for doing that, did I? I'll just have to get my revenge soon." Blade stuck her tongue out at Boan at the end of her sentence, then grabbed her drink and took a sip.
||I just had to put that in for the last Tidal role play. XD||

Boan had just taken a seat at the bar when Blade took a seat next to him. He was a little surprised because he hadn’t seen her when he entered the room, but it left quickly. The bar was always where he spent time when he had too much of it. The people were always interesting. He often wondered if he would ever turn into one of the old men sitting in the corner and telling war stories. Hopefully he would avoid that fate. Those men annoyed him. The really interesting part of the bar was the women. Boan didn’t have a lost love or a woman back home or anything like that. That meant he was free to be with any woman who’d go with him.
Boan listened to blade talk and ordered a beer when the bartender asked what they wanted. Blade ordered the drink with the least alcohol. She still did that? He had no idea why. Usually he would order a stronger drink, but he the mood wasn’t right. Different drinks for different things. “Travel does seem to stretch out a year, doesn’t it? It feels like ages… I can’t even remember the name of town we went to after the spawn fight,” Boan said watching the bartender set their drinks in front of them. He grabbed his mug and took a long drink, then set it down.
And then Blade started talking about the time when he walked in on her getting out of the bath. That was stupid. She’d nearly killed him. Totally worth it. Of course he didn’t know she was bathing at the time. He’d asked the woman at the front where blade was and she’d told him that Blade was in the last room to the left. Never, ever said what she was doing. Maybe the woman assumed they were together? Hah! He wished. Wasn’t gonna happen.
“Like a locked door could stop me. No revenge until after the all spawn are dead. Then you can beat me up as much as you want!” He said, smiling and giving a corny thumbs-up. Boan laughed and took another drink of his beer. “Anyway, I could see you naked any time I want. I can see through your clothes no problem, even with the blindfold on.” Boan looked her up and down and tried not to laugh. It was true, he could see through her clothing if he wanted to, but he never did.

So then, Blade could beat Boan all that she wanted after all of the spawn's were dead? She smiled in responce and nodded despite the fact that she didn't feel as if she'd ever make it that far. Once all of the spawns were dead, she would be dead too. That was the sort of life that you had to expect for yourself when you were so deeply involved with Tidal and his spawns. Hopefully she would still be alive once everything was finished... although that seemed impossible. She'd had too many near-death experiences and she knew that somewhere in the future that death was sitting there waiting for her.
Hearing the last of Boan's words Blade rolled her eyes. "Just try and I'll set your a** on fire." She teased back after she'd used her hand to smack the back of his head when she saw what he was doing. "Yeah right, as if you would!" Blade laughed before she grabbed her drink and drank the rest of it. Now that she done with her drink she wanted to go to her room, but she had to wait for the others. Waiting was never fun. Blade just wanted to go into her room, shut the door, and fall asleep on that warm, comfortable bed that was waiting for her. Sleeping in a bed was absolutely wonderful. And yet she would have to wait. Well, no more alchohal for her for now. Blade asked for some bread and more soup, recalling how delicious the soup had been.
"I met up a few other people in the middle of the night yesterday." Blade told Boan as she ripped a chunk of bread and dipped it into her soup. She put it her mouth and then swallowed it before looking over at Boan and smiled widely. "You wouldn't believe it. We had some sort of insane luck, but the water spawn showed up. After I had some tricky problems in the water I was able to push it out. Then we beat it, together! The water spawn is dead! After that we decided to form a small team. Once everyone shows up I'm going to tell them that we're heading off into the mountains first." Blade chuckled to herself as she looked down at her soup. She wanted to eat it, but right now she was too excited. "I just hope that our luck will keep on going with us...." She tilted her head and sighed before looking back at him. "It's sort of... wierd. I can't believe that a spawn is dead. The very first spawn to die ever since Tidal formed them...."

As soon as the first words came out of the girl's mouth, Nago could tell she wasn't from around here, and had a hard time speaking the language. Not that she was abosolutely horrible about the language, but, she seemed to have a hard time with it, getting the right words in the right place in the sentance. That, ans she seemed to have a hard time with the ponuciation of the words too. Nago smiled as she bit her lip, understanding. The blood belonged to someone else, then she must have been the cause of the problem back down the street. Or, if not the cause, part of it. That could explain why she had been running.
Saying that she no longer needed to have his healing, she smiled brightly, and turned. Her foot slipped out from under her, and she fell to the ground, landing and staying stuck there. She had two large, and heavy looking weapons on her back, and struggled to stand. taking a step towards her, Nago didn't know if she needed help or not.. "Miss..." He started, kneeling down, to offer his help to her, when he looked up to the sounds of someone else coming into the back alley. He stood, and spotted another young person, who it was a bit difficult to tell the gender. 'Why me? Nago thought as he stood up. Expecting the girl, it was easier to tell, her face was more femine then manly, she dropped a dagger at the robed girl's feet.
Nago listened to her with a stoney expression. Then, his face shifted to a frown as she seemed to know the girl on the ground, but refused to help her, as if the girl had done something to betray the standing girl . Then, the icy blue eyes turned to him, and his face became a mask. He mearlly nodded to her, not wanting to speak to someone who would just flat out refuse to help another, even if they were their enemy. Or, at least, not friendly towards each other. Then, she left.
Looking down at the girl on the ground, he crouched, and leaned over, placing his hands at her waist, before helping her stand up, by pulling up on her waist. Nago was strong despite his aparant lack of muscles. "There, you should watch your step next time." Nago told her.

Eni's face had flushed to a deep pink when she realized that she couldn't possibly get up on her own. She was too exhausted from last night with no food or rest. Then she had to run away from Blade, who, of course, had caught up to her and threw the dagger on the ground, inches away from her face.
Eni looked up at Blade and was met with stone cold eyes. She listened to what Blade said and though she didn't understand every word, Eni knew what Blade meant. She knew it would've happened either way, not everyone in the world could be friends with each other. Watching Blade left the alley, Eni reached for the sheathed dagger. She hoped Blade didn't go as far as to think that Eni was trying to hurt, or even kill, Blade. But throwing a dagger at someone's back had to create some paranoia.
The truth was that Blade scared Eni, but the robed girl would never admit it. So she rather had Blade believed that she disliked the spawn hunter instead of feared her. At least hatred made Eni looked stronger. She knew hate and fear both too well. The eyes of her villagers taught her clearly. And Eni had always struggled with her dilemna: Did she rather be hated or feared by her village? The robed girl hadn't made a choice yet.
Eni tilted her head to look at the healer with a small smile. She must looked like a fool right now, a helpless fool. Her heart skipped a beat when the healer touched her waist. Eni knew the man meant well and was only trying to help, but being touched by the opposite gender who had no relation with you was a big no-no in her village tradition.
But she wasn't in her village now. She was never part of the village.
So Eni allowed the kind healer to help her up. She regained her balance and turned to face the healer. He was really tall compared to the short Eni, though he looked even skinnier than Eni. And Eni was pretty skinny! Eni's golden complexion looked pale compared to the healer's tanned skin. Giving an appreciative nod to what the healer said about watching her step, Eni brushed herself off. Dusts and dirts looked very apparent on her gray robe.
Sticking her hand out, in the tradition of a friendliness, Eni smiled and said, "Es name is called Eni. Eni. Please to your name know?" The girl held the expensive dagger in her free hand and was gripping it rather tightly. Probably tighter than she needed to. She could feel Blade's fury on the weapon and it made her so uncomfortable. But the healer, the healer had an earthly tone to him. Eni liked earthly people, they went well with her water tone. So smiling big and as if she hadn't just made a fool out of herself, Eni looked forward to becoming friends with the healer.

Nago had seen far worse fools in his life as a healer. Like one man, had decided to tease a full grown bull. He was lucky to survive the trampling. One thing you never do is tease something that much bigger then you. Looking down at the shorter girl, he smiled easily as she wiped off the front of her robe. She was golden in her skin tone, and to his tanned skin, she was much much paler. She also seemed pretty thin, not as thin as Nago, who once earned the nickname "Twig" because of his thinness... Not much he could do about it.
She told Nago her name, and he figgured that when she asked a moment later, that it wouldn't hurt for her to have the knowledge of his name. "I am Nago Takeno." He said with a small nod to her and a smile just a little less bright then her's.
Looking at the dagger she held with white knucles, he frowwed his brows for a moment. "May I see that dagger?" He asked her reaching out a hand, and asking it as an offer, rather then trying to take it from her. She had shed blood already, so who knew if she would do it again? And, Nago was not about to risk a fight over something like a dagger. It looked to be well crafted, but with her death grip on the hilt, it was hard to tell for sure. That, and it was dirty as well from when it was flung to the ground. Nago didn't plan to do anything with the dagger other then look it over, and maybe clean it with his clothing real fast. Then, he would go see about this Blade girl's mention of a friend in need of healing...

Eni nodded and repeated Nago's name, except she pronounced it more or less like "Naghoul" but she hadn't realize it yet. Looking at the tight grip she had placed on the dagger, Eni could still feel the aura of Blade. She wished the spawn hunter hadn't gotten so angry with her, the fury was burning her palm. Or maybe it was just because she was holding it too tight.
Eni lifted her hand, releasing some tension, and dropped the dagger in Nago's hand. She didn't want it anyways and since Nago was kind enough to help her up, she'd give the dagger to him if he wanted it. Or maybe give it to him later as a parting gift of some sort. Of course Eni could always sell the dagger and keep the money, but that wouldn't feel right even for someone like Eni.
Repeating what Blade had said earlier, Eni said to Nago, "My friend was hurt by the Shining Evil." Wow, her first grammatically correct sentence. Eni couldn't help but jumped up slightly with excitement. "Hurt Rina's leg the Shining Evil with shard of ice," Eni continued to give more information about the wound to the healer. Well, he looked like a healer, Eni just assumed. "Would you be kind and please to see her?"
Eni put her hands together and clasped them in front of her face as a sign of begging. She had a feeling that Nago could help Rina either way, but someone had to show the kind healer gratitude and Eni figured why not her?

Nago liked the way she had pronounced his name and smiled when she had mispronounced it. Maybe this little girl wouldn't be so bad of a person to be around. She'd get the language eventually, right? She was getting closer anyways. The dagger fell into his hand, and Nago close his fingers around the hilt of the dagger, not tightly, but loosely, so he could feel the dagger move around in his hand. The markmeship was very good, the blade felt light, but long in his opinions. The whole dagger was too long, but... It was still must have been expensive. He wipped off the dirt on the blade and the hilt, before looking in the blade, his reflction looking back at him.
With a small smile, he reached back out with his hand to return the dagger. Nago knew that this had some meaning to the girl, but from what he had seen of the other girl, he doubted that she would hang onto it long. It was not Nago's place to take someone else's stuff. Thieves did that. "That is a find dagger, you should hold onto it. It might be handy later." He advised her, though she didn't have to tak it.
He listened to her, and a smile came across his face at her first correct sentence. Nago chuclked at the little jump of excitement the girl gave. She must have been proud of herself to manage to say her first correct sentance. When she put her hands together in a sign of begging, he reached out, and parted her hands. "I will help your friend, and you need not beg." He told her. Nago did not leg to be begged for his help, and he would refuse to help, only a little, sometimes, if someone begged him. His mission in life was to heal, so that was what he would do.
"Shall we go to this inn that your... Gift giver... told us to go to and wait?" Nago asked her. He couldn't think of another word for the girl with the ice blue eyes other then that.

Eni was a little surprised when Nago touched her hands. Again, being touched by the opposite gender was inappropriate in her village. Of course, Eni didn't exactly fit in one gender but she had always seen herself as female, so when Nago touched her hands, the robed girl couldn't help but blushed a little.
But she didn't take the dagger. Oh no, Eni wasn't going to touch that dagger again. She quickly hid her hands behind her back as a sign that she wasn't going to take the dagger back. "It you can keep," Eni said quietly with a small pout.
Taking a step back from Nago to emphasize her determination, Eni looked around for the inn that Blade had spoken of. She'd hoped the twins were inside as well, she hated to be left alone with Blade and whoever else was with her. But on the other hand, Eni kind of thought that she had Nago now. At least the tanned healer didn't seem to make fun of her speech pattern like Ebon did. Lifting a finger to point at the direction of the inn, Eni smiled and said, "That way!"
Out of impulse and sheer happiness of meeting a new friend, Eni began to skip down the street toward the inn.

Aiko lingered in and out of crowds, her height making it hard to even see her. She was short and always seems to be seen as a child. She had gotten use to the occasional person to stop her thinking she was a child lost. Her shimmering greens eyes locked on a black smith's shop across the rode. In her excitement she try to hurry across the path but was pushed back by a rather large women. Aiko's back had smacked the side of a small cart of a seller, knocking almost everything off. She would be lucky if even the smallest item would have stayed on the stand.
To make matters worse her scythe nearly cut the head of the person standing behind it off. Her eyes widen seeing that he wasn't going to be able to move out of the way in time. With her one foot that was still on the ground she managed to twist her foot turning her body and her weapon. She gave the man more time to move out of the way. Aiko was more worried about hitting someone else with her blade then herself. She had destroyed the cart and knocked everything off. She cringed a little feeling her side slide across the ground.
She dared not looked up to see the angered face of the sales man and kept her eyes looked on her scrapped knee. It was small with little blood pending from it onto her brown skin. "I'm sorry," she mumbled rubbing the side of her arm. "I'm truly sorry," she quietly got up on her knees setting on her back feet, she bowed her head to the ground. The man had to jump back to avoid the blade on her back again.
The male looked disturbingly bothered by her, "Listen kid haven't your mother teach you about weapons! Did she even educate you to look where the hell you are going!" His voice raged in the air into Aiko's ears. The mention of her mother made her heart slow down but she shook her head to keep from getting upset. She only closed her eyes tighter lowering her head closer to the ground. "I'm sorry!" she yelled back her voice muffled from being so close to the ground. She was sure a few people had stopped to watch her incident.
"What am I going to do now! You nearly killed me you stupid kid!..." at this point Aiko had stopped listening to him yell at her. She only continued to apologize as best she could then reaching for her side she pulled out some of her money. "Here please take this...I hope it's enough to pay for the damage that I have done," She kept her eyes closed and her head down holding the money over her head. "Were did-" he took a deep breath finally calming down. He snatched the money from her hands and told her to hurry along.
Aiko quickly yet carefully stood from the floor and turned around to see the few people turn to move on. With a deep sigh she hurried across the street to the shop. "I'm not a kid," she said a little annoyed. Her eyes caught sight of Eni rushing past her rather fast. Eni had caused Aiko to stop uninteresting in her tracks to keep from getting run over by the female. The hair of her ponytails shifted in the wind as Eni passes. Eni was gone and out of sight before Aiko could say anything to her. Her wide eyes narrowed wondering what she was in such a rush for.
Then scratching the side of her head she sighed. "So many things going on around here," she mumbled looking at what seemed to be passing travelers. They conversed together about spawn in the mountains. Normally Aiko would stay to herself but with spawn in the matter it always became her business. She walked behind them listening carefully as they talked. To her it seems they weren't even sure but one of them swore up and down it was the earth spawn while the other said lighten. With the two arguing she didn't see any more reason to listen, so she stopped.
Aiko finally managed to walk into the black smith's shop. She admired the weapons with wide eyes. Everything she saw was close to mere perfection from the sharpness of the blade to the handle of the hilt. The sliver of the weapons shined softly from the light shining through the windows. A smile couldn't help but trail across her face. She walked around a small table to get to the right side of the wall looking over the weapons. She wanted short weapons, something she could keep close to her body without worrying to cut another. Blinking for a moment she didn't see anyone in the shop. "Umm. Hello," she called out standing on her toes for a moment.
"Please hold on," a rough gagged voice answered her back. Aiko smiled happy that there was someone there and continued to browse. After about twenty minutes she didn't find anything she would like. She sighed walking away from another set of weapons and leaning on the rather high counter. Her eyes lingered to the window watching the people pass. A tall male with a blindfold walked by and suddenly stopped scaring two women. Aiko chuckled watching him leave. She could recall that he was the same man she saw with the blanket.
"How may I help you young lady," the same voice from before caused Aiko to jump a little. She quickly turned around looking at the two axes he was holding in his hands. Her lips parted but she didn't say anything she only gazed at the glowing green eyes that looked back at her in its blade. She only looked away when the old man spoke to her, "I see you have found a liking in these weapons. Heh, I just made them rather nice, are they not?" He turned one so that Aiko could take hold of the handle. "They are made for dark summers and very powerful yet..." he stopped looking at the blade on Aiko's back.
Aiko looked at the axe he was handing her not wanting to touch it to honor its beauty. She could tell that it was meant for shadow users or in other words those who summon the darkness. It was a beautiful axe that was still in the shape of a normal axe. Though the way the blade was curved made it different beyond measures. Its handle was black metal covered in what seemed to be leather. Aiko has never seen black metal and thought of places he could possible get it. For some reason the leather didn't really look like it but in a way it was. She shook her head to keep from confusing herself. On the end of the handle was two sliver solid balls linked by a thin peace of coil. They gave the axe balance She was sure the coil was made by an elf. It's power felt the same as her scythe when she first gotten it.
"Do you hear me young lady...it's not for sale," his words almost broke her heart. She could almost feel a shard of glass being wedged into her chest. To think something as beautiful was not for sale. Then again it was beauty that killed the best. Searching her mind she looked at his hand that was ready for her to give the weapon back. Aiko wanted it, but too bad for her she couldn't have it. "Is that a seal writhen on the blade of your scythe?" the man spoke seeing that she didn't want to give it back.
Aiko looked up at her large weapon then back towards him, "Any price I'll buy it. Please I'm in need of a new weapon." she ignored his question. The man sighed looking down at the twin weapon in his hand. "Is it not a seal to suppress your dark summoning powers?" He asked the same question differently.
Aiko's eyes narrowed on the floor beneath her thinking about the spawn on the other side of the mountains or maybe in them. Then to the group that she had indirectly met at the lake. He was asking her of her weapon and here she was thinking about the group. She wanted to help them in some way as much as they helped her realize that only person alone cannot defeat a spawn. Her hand gripped on the handle of the axe, it was long enough for both her hands to hold onto it.
She finally spoke to the tranquil old man; "It's a seal to keep me from using my summoning skills. It wasn't put on there unwillingly. I asked a friend to do it for me." Then she understood why he wouldn't give it to her in the first place. He could have thought that someone had put a seal on her to keep her from doing any damage to anyone, but it was far from that. "Please if I buy these off of you could you put this same seal on the axe's?" The man's eyes widen from there almost closed stat before he closed them and nod his head yes. Aiko smiled happily, she was a summoner that could only use her summoning side through another weapon.
Aiko had her own reasons why she would never use her power. She could understand a little as to why Blade would use hers. Too Aiko Blade was a strong woman to take on such a side effect. She almost looked up to her and pondered why Blade would put herself through such a thing. Then Aiko's normal thinking had return 'stay out of other peoples business'.
With a smile she handed the male the axe. He told her that she would have to come back later to pick up the weapons. It would take him some time to put a high-quality seal on the axes. When he had told her the price Aiko couldn't believe it. Weapons like the two she saw would cost two arms and a leg but he had offered a very good discount. She felt grateful to have met such a kind men. He assured her that there was nothing wrong with the axes he just had a good feeling about Aiko. A feeling that he hasn't felt in a long time from anyone. To her he sounded crazier then anything but she turned and left him and the shop.
She couldn't wait to come back and received her two bundles of joy. Aiko ran her fingers over her bare belly, "Man, I'm hungry."

((Damn, did I ever fall behind? Luckily I'm a genius poster and I'll get myself back in this! xD))
Blade finally decided that the group would start travelling to the nearest town now, which was most likely Blackbirch. Considering it was the nearest place to them, it was still quite the ways away. In the group their size, it would probably take about seven hours to get there. And you know what the group would be filled with? Most likely silence. Silence wasn't exactly one of Ebon's more favorite... Events. It was boring. Very, very boring.
And that's why Ebon decided to go on ahead. "Well, I'm gonna go ahead. No offence, but this is boring. Later." Ebon had a feeling no one really payed attention to him. Oh well, he'd get there a hell of a lot faster than any of them would, except for maybe Blade. She could possibly transport herself a far distance with the shadows. She was tired though, and Ebon had a feeling Blade wouldn't be able to do that.
Now Ebon actually left the group and went ahead. Probably in about fifteen seconds he would have been clearly out of their view. And Ebon could still go even faster. But this wasn't a time to show off his speed, he wanted to simply get to Blackbirch. Why did he want to get there so fast? So he could find some work to do to get money faster.
It took him about thirty minutes to get to Blackbirch, keeping a constant pace. The stupid person keeping guard asking for some money from him, so he could actually get into Blackbirch. Ha! Like that was ever gonna happen. Which it never did, all Ebon did was get out of view from the person standing guard and snuck in. Once in, he acted casual, like he usually did. And you know what? It always worked.
Now it was time to find a quick-cash job he could get his hands on to. The best part was that he didn't even have to look for a long time. There was this 'Strong Man' contest going on, as he learned. It was starting in a couple minutes too! The prize money was quite the sum as well. "I mind as well...." Ebon muttered as he signed up for it.
All the guys in it were.... huge. Absolutely ******** huge. And then there was Ebon. Of course he wasn't small or anything, but compared to these tanks he was like an insect. That's what they said though. Boy would they be surprised by the strength that Ebon had. He had no magical strength, but what he lacked in that he made up for in physical strength. Magic wasn't allowed in the competition either, so that made it even easier for Ebon.
His first opponent was this big, totally ripped guy. All bronze and no brains. It took no effort to beat him. All Ebon had to do was dodge his extremely slow attacks, and when the guy was tired out he just hit him once and he fell over. His next opponent was also big and buff, except a little faster and smarter than the first guy. Obviously this guy payed no attention to the fight that Ebon had before, so Ebon just did the same technique. He was also down in one hit.
He had one opponent left, the "champ". "How did this guy...?" Ebon asked himself before he had to quickly dodge an attack. This guy was far faster than the rest of them. Not at fast as Ebon, however. Ebon didn't a couple rolls until he was in range to attack, but his opponent didn't go down in one hit. Rather, he went down in two. The second one was a kick across his jaw. "Too easy. You guys suck." Ebon muttered as the cheers of the crowd grew louder. In one hour he got a lot of money. Five and a half hours left until the rest of the group got there.
What to do, what to do? As of yet, there was nothing to do. Nothing but help a small hunting group. The pay was alright, and it was just for a couple hours. It would pass the time anyways. Plus, he knew some of the guys from before so it wasn't like they were total strangers.
Actually, a lot of time passed. The group he was with was surprisingly amusing, and the hunting wasn't all bad either. The sun had just set, and that meant it was time to go back to town. The group should be there now, if not they had some problems. Well, Ebon would wait for them at the inn. It's where the group of hunters were going as well. "So, who are these people you were travelling with earlier? And where is this one chick you were talkin' about?" One of the guys said as they walked into the inn, completely oblivious to Blade actually beeing in there. "Beats me. I went ahead of them, so I don't know if they'll be here or not. I'll just wait here though." Ebon responded, taking a seat with the group. "I hope they're okay."

Boan closed his eyes for a second and then opened them back up again. He could now see through the blindfold without hurting his eyes. Using it for a long amount of time used up a lot of energy, but just turning it on and off was no problem. Boan brought his eyes up to blade and nearly fell out of his chair. If she hadn’t noticed his vision change before, she probably would now. It was pretty obvious, with his mouth hanging open and all. There she was, the way he was seeing it, sitting completely naked at a bar. Boan shook his head and let his eyes change back. Hopefully she hadn’t noticed the way he’d just been looking at her.
All of that was to prove that he could and would do it. Her telling him not to seemed more like a dare to him.
Boan smiled and drank some more of his beer.
“So you finally managed to get a good tea- You KILLED the Water Spawn?!?!” He yelled the last part out, and nearly knocked over his beer. Holy s**t. Holy s**t. Holy s**t. She’d actually killed a spawn? No one had ever killed a spawn. Ever. Even in large numbers, no one had succeeded in doing anything but giving it a few small wounds. “That settles it. I’m coming with you people. If you could take down the Water Spawn… That was one of the stronger ones! Earth shouldn’t be a problem.”

Blade glared at Boan and slapped him before she even spoke. It was obvious what he'd just done with his mouth hanging open like a dog. "You lousy pervert!" Blade yelled as she rolled her eyes. "And if you join up with me, how do I know that you won't be a peeping tom? The only way that I'm going to allow you to tag along is if you promise never to do that again." Blade stuck her tongue out at Boan before she heard Ebon's voice float out through the air. She turned her head and watched as Ebon walked in, talking to someone else. Ebon had been worried about them? Ha, ha. They'd just killed the water spawn! Blade shook her head again when she heard the other man say: "What about that one chick you were talkin' about?"
"You better not have said anything crude about me!" Blade warned as she brought her fist up and waved it at Ebon. "And worried about us? Ha! We can all take care of ourselves perfectly fine. Silly goose!"
Blade turned around in her chair to look back at Boan and glared again. "You're lucky that I want to eat this soup or else I'd dump it on your head!"

The familiar tone of Blade's voice reached Ebon's ears. The entire group, including Ebon, looked at the two sitting at the bar. There she was, Blade. Shaking a fist wildy at Ebon. "Don't act cocky. If you encountered another spawn you would have been in a lot of trouble..." Especially without Ebon there, who was at full strength. The others had used some sort of attack against the spawn, and some were even injured.
One of Ebon's friends, Mark, pout two of his fingers in his mouth and gave a whistle at Blade. 'Damn, you were right! She is pretty good lookin'. No wonder yo-" Mark was cut off by the fist that hit him across the jaw, Ebon's fist obviously. "Shut up!" Ebon bluntly stated. Mark stood back up, looking angrily over at Ebon. "You want a fight?" Ebon stood out of his chair, glaring at mark. "Bring it on, b***h!" The other members at the table just sighed, shaking their heads. "Why do they always do this...?" they all said at the same time.
Ebon and Mark ended up not fighting, the other guys convinced them not to. It wa starting to get late as well. The other guys, including Mark, were at the bar having couple drinks. Ebon decided not to join them, and instead went outside and stared up at the stars. "I wonder what's gonna happen next...?" As Ebon asked, to no one in particular. His eyes were now drawn down to Stalior. "I wonder if I'll ever see them again..."

What in the world was up with these men today? Blade was wearing her cloak to purposely cover up her body and yet there was one whistling at her. People usually mistook her for a man until they heard her voice or got a better look at her face. Blade had been getting ready to throw her bowl at the man who'd whistled at her when Ebon hit him instead. After the fight ended thanks to some talking with their other friends, the man who'd whistled at her along with the other guys went over to the bar. Ebon instead went outside. Blade watched him go before looking over at Boan. "I'll be back." In revenge for looking at her, Blade grabbed her soup and then dumbed it over Boan's head. She set the bowl down and then ran out before Boan could do anything to respond to what she'd done. She closed the door after her and then looked around until she spotted where Ebon was. She walked over and then leaned against the wall next to him.
"Home sick?" Blade asked as she looked at him before looking up at the sky, following Ebon's eyes. "I get home sick a lot, too. Especially at night. My father used to take me out so we could look at the stars together and see the constellations. He was a scholar. It seemed as if he knew everything to me. I'm sure that to everyone else it did too. I know that he would probably have a heart-attack from seeing the Stalior. That's how much he valued knowledge."
"Come on!"
Eve sat in the grass with a bundle of flowers in her hand. She picked them out herself and was arranging them. It was going to be father's birthday today and she wanted to make him a beautiful arrangement of flowers. Valandil sat opposite to her, playing with a flower that was in his hand while looking at her. Eve looked up at him, tilting her head before shaking it.
"Come on Lessien," Valan reached out and pulled on the human girl's hair. Eve looked up when she heard him call her her elven name instead of her human one. "Admit it."
"No, I won't." Eve responded with a smile as she picked another flower and added it to her collection. "I won't say that I love you. Not yet. But I won't say that I don't, either."
"So you do."
"I already said that I won't say it Valandil." Eve stood up and twirled around once with Valan standing up and brushing his pants off. "Do you think that I look pretty? Idril made it for me!"
Blade missed Valandil. He was the one who'd earned so many pages inside of her art book. She missed him along with her father the most. As she'd thought to herself before, she could have at least said good-bye to him.
"In my village, your name would be Elessar Anwamanë." Blade told Ebon with a small smile as she looked over at him. "I think that's what it would translate into."
