Then the question becomes how do you convince bible thumpers to come to an ANTI-Creationist guild. We need not bible thumpers but those who would try and convert our mindset. More long the lines of a missionary.
A fine idea conceptually, but the ones that will actually converse civilly with you are not the missionary types. Those types, especially when surrounded by opposition, usually just scream antiquated words like "Heretic," and "Blasphemer," and storm off never to return, and all are usually better for it. If you can find one of those exceptionally rare open-minded religious folks, however, that is a different matter.
By the way, I'm new here and this is my first post. I am an agnostic in that while there is still room in universal laws for the possibility of a deity of some sort I will not believe that there cannot be one, but in almost any philosophical argument I invariably side with the atheists, especially in conversations in ED where I fight irrationality, socially regression, and willful ignorance, one person at a time.
