Lu smiled, thinking of the one special to her. She hadn't seen him in a long, long time. "I'm glad to hear that. I bet she's wonderful." Nodding confidently, she picked up the half-empty tray to go clean it. "You're more than welcome to wander about, if you like." her voice carried from the kitchen.
Gyre smiled at the both of them. She would be their guide through the house, if they wanted. Donning the mask in its place on the side of her head, she kicked her legs absently. "I have more toys, if Zita needs some."

Cyrus grinned and nodded. "She really is," he said as she stood to go into the kitchen. He tilted his head at Gyre and shook his head - give the girl more toys? She was spoiled enough without all that. "I think she'll be fine for now."
As though to prove him wrong, Zita gave a discontent squeal around the fin she had stuffed in her mouth and waved the penguin around as best she could.
"..maybe she's just tired of sitting around. Or she might need a nap. I can just go home then, and..um...visit again later?"

Lu wandered back from the kitchen, sans the tray. Her hands wet damp from washing it and quickly drying them off. "Well, I hope I gave you some helpful information..."
Walking to the door, she smiled. "I would love for you to visit again, as would Gyre. You're always welcome here." Gyre stood up from her spot on the couch. She would miss Mr. Cyrus, and would have ot write about him in her new journal.
"It was good to see you, Mr. Cyrus and Zita!"

Cyrus stood a bit awkwardly now that Zita seemed to have decided sitting still would cause her to break out in hives - who'd have thought it'd be so difficult keeping hold of a baby? - and followed Lu to the door. "It helps a lot. At least now I know what I'm dealing with...sorta."
He turned to smile at the pair as he slipped out the door, waving just a bit. "It was good to see the two of you as well, ma'ams. I'll see you again sometime."

Lu waved as the pair left. The visit was a pleasant one, and the two hoped they could see the fox man and his ward again. Maybe a visit to the HQ would be in order?
"It was very nice to see you!" she cried happily.
Gyre waved ethusiastically as well. "Bye bye Zita! Bye bye, Mr. Cyrus!"

You know? Before. I only remember what the mask told me. That I was someone named Daina, and I was supposed to sing. But I hated it. So I left and never came back. And now I am here. I haven't told Momma about it at all. I think she'd worry too much. She does that with all the little ones she takes care of. I'm beginning to make myself a new mask. The Falcon was explaining to me how my people used to make their own masks, and each had some sort of special power. Falcon turns me into a falcon, and I can fly as high and as fast as I please. This new mask is hard to make, though. Momma bought me wood and carving tools, and some paints she had left over. I'm making a Swan. So I can dance just like the ballerinas.

Gyre was so excited when she began work on it. Carving is the hardest part, so myself and Hikaru, the human-sized Faeling Fairy, have devoted time to helping her carve. We have enough white, orange and black paint for her, too. I've gone to work making adjustments to her white ballerina's tutu. We got it at the dance store a while back, but Idecided to add some swanlike detail to it. Making it more feathery has proven to be difficult. I'm not the best seamstress. At all. But I'm doing my best. I think we all are. Lu

But I don't know how I'm going to make it magical. I'm very confused. I should ask the Falcon.

"That went rather well, I think." she msued, sitting back on the couch. They were back home, guardian and Legend. Gyre was sitting on the floor, busily gluing n the last bits of feathers to her new Swan mask. She knew this day would finally come.
Luciel sat up, stretching, fangs bared. Clicking her back, she plopped back down onto the couch, gazing off into the distance. Today felt like one of those lazy-days. But she was very glad to have gotten out to meet Huni again, and she was more than glad that Huni wasn't attacked by Gyre again. She'd grown so much since those days.
"Done, Momma!" Gyre announced, holding up the new swan mask. It was finely decorated, swan feather lining the top and both sides. The mask was carefully painted white, black and orange. Gyre quickly attached it to her head.
But nothing happened. She didn't transform.
Odd.
Lu blinked. Perhaps it hadn't recieved the "magic" yet? She decided not to worry about it, especially since Gyre didn't complain. She began to clumsily dance, trying to get up onto her tip-toes like the ballerinas on television.

Little did the mancubus realize how wrong she was.
Gyre, small and chubby Gyre, was trodding around as best she could, imitating the ballerina's dance. She did this so often, Lu's attention sometimes wandered. She yawned again, laying back down on the couch. Her ears perked as she suddenly heard a strange noise. A bright light shone around her Legend child...
"Gyre?!" she cried, thinking the worst. But the light was warm and glistening. Perplexed, she bolted upright, shielding her eyes against it.
The sond of giggling reached her ears as the light died down. Luciel stood up, gray eyes darting from the location of her charge to random spots around the room. Had something magically shot at Gyre? She turned about. Nothing out of the ordinary here, she supposed. Sniffing the air, she concluded this was true. Nothing out of the ordinary. Though she had no magical ability, she figured she'd at least see something wicked whizzing through the air. Or a burn mark someplace.
She shook her head. Too much caffine.. Luciel turned about to stick on the couch again when she stopped dead in her tracks, unleashing a stream of incoherent babble.
"WhathappeohmygodGyreyou'resomethingdifferentswamballerinatallerohmygod..."
Gyre stood upright, an impressive four feet and some change, and blinked her eyes. She hadn't noticed any changes. "Momma, are you feeling alright?" Her caretaker was a strange one to begin with. Incoherent babble wasn't part of her routine. At least, not that she knew of. Giggling again, she twirled.
And then stopped.
Looking down at herself, she realized that something had happened. Something warm and wonderful. She was silent for a few moments, her caretaker still behind her, trying to comprehend it all. She gained height, form, and most importantly, grace. She let out a squeal of rapture, sailing through the air on her most graceful pirouette to date.
"Momma! Look! I can dance! I can dance!" Trying to take in such a drastic change in a short period of time, Gyre danced about the room, flying about each piece of furniture, never seeming to touch the ground. Her posture was perfect, arms wide as she turned. It was like she had been born just to dance.
Luciel sank to her knees. "Gyre...you're a beautiful swan... My Odette..."

The egg is sitting in the nest I used to use to sleep in. Now that I am older, I have my own room! I took my old nest and put it in my new room. I have all my stuff in here, too. It feels strange to be away from everyone, but at least I have plenty of room to practice now. Momma's going to try to install a bar for me to use to balance when stretching. I'm so excited! I hope I get to see other Legends sometime soon... Oh, and here's a picture of Anshar!

It was so great to see another Legend after growing up. But I don't remember Dare very well. Regardless, I can't wait to see Pae again... But when I came home, this little guy was floating around my room! Anshar hatched! He's so cute and fluffy and fuzzy! He follows me wherever I go. Since I came home late, he fell asleep soon after, so I don't know if he can talk. But I did manage to snap a picture of him...
