"Enjoy the festival," Natsuki smiled, a bit disappointed in the woman's indifferent attitude toward her. Natsuki was a Durem University graduate, not that she bragged about it. Apparently she didn't look smart enough to be associated with. "Help yourself to toppings if you need them."

Turning her attention to the seating area, Natsuki slipped out from behind the counter top bus the tables. Wiping up ice cream drippings and collecting empty plastic cups, she wondered how difficult it was for university students to clean up after themselves. Shaking her head in disappointment, she checked up on Vyn, who was keeping to herself. Shoveling the empty plasticware into a tub, Natsuki weaved back behind the counter and out the back of the booth.

Using the hose behind the stall, Natsuki carefully ran the water and rinsed out the empty cups and plasticware, depositing them into the appropriate disposal bins. Crouching down in geta and a yukata was no simple task if one wanted to maintain their dignity. There were several other being like Vyn throughout the crowd. Previously, she saw an elegant golden curled girl, a silver and red haired firecracker, a neon green one with a horn, and now from across the crowd a boy with piercing blue eyes and silver hair caught her attention. Thinking a larger crowd at her booth was needed now that the clean up was finished, Natsuki's game face returned as she resumed her post.

"Ladies and gentlemen, step right up for the most delicious ice cream in all of Durem! Vanilla! Strawberry! Melon! Take your pick or one of each!" Natsuki called out, showing her wares proudly. "We've got toppings of all flavours and kinds, so please come and get your ice cream on! I'm hot! You're hot! Let's all cool off together!"

"I work at a cafe across town. I am a manager there. That's how Shuura recruited me for the festival," Natsuki said crisply, without looking up from her work.

Filling orders as quickly as she could without dropping money into the food, Natsuki didn't regret her decision to call attention to her booth. Like the cafe, she preferred working hard because it made the time fly by and the beer taste better at the end of the day. Putting bartenders to shame with her skills, she dished out scoops, lobbing them into the air and catching them in the cups. Adding the cookie garnishes, she snuck a cookie to one of the little girls watching excitedly at the flair show.

"Today the shop's closed, however, because the staff was invited here to work and enjoy the festivities," Natsuki continued, topping up a vanilla scoop with a cherry for a little boy. "Many of the girls whom I work with are students at DU or recent graduates like myself."

"Thanks, but finding a job as a Fine Arts Graduate is quite difficult. I love my cafe job. It's the closest I can get the stage at the moment," Natsuki said, wiping down the counter and preparing the next order.

Taking out several fresh bottles of sauces and canisters with toppings, Natsuki restocked the empty condiments and the napkins. Snapping the lids closed on the empty cans, she deposited them into the 'to be rinsed' basket underneath the counter. Natsuki would clean them later or delegate the task when another person arrived.

"Never been much for sports myself, unless you count dance, acrobatics, and stage fighting as sports. What about you?"

Chloe's eyes couldn't help but focus past Julian, just over his shoulder (despite the colour of his attire trying to distract her) toward the various booths. A good amount of people were already here and wandering between the brightly coloured areas - the main two draws being the Fish and... Ice Cream.

"Oh... Julian.. I'm so sorry. I'm need to be at the booth. I volunteered to help and now I'm late, it's not very good of me.." She bit her lip and bowed her head in apology to her friend. "I hope you'll visit." She turned to motion for Roux to follow her and hurried past Julian in a slow jog (intent on being more careful so she wouldn't fall in the awkward sandals again). "Sorry!" She threw back one last apology.

Roux huffed, hurrying by Julian and Gage quickly enough, giving the latter a hard glare as he passed. He considered uttering a snide comment as he passed but chose not to, he'd save his energy for later. For now there was the promise of frozen delicacies ahead.

Chloe stumbled slightly, catching herself on the counter beside a female customer and hurried an apology to those behind the counter. "I'm so sorry, I couldn't find my way here, I spilt something on the notes I had earlier and it was impossible to read."

Roux floated up and stopped beside her, looking toward the three different flavours. He reached forward, pointing silently at the melon flavoured ice cream. A small chill could be felt directly around the ice Frei. He seemed to unconsciencly produce it more and more lately, although in this case it might help for the ice cream's sake.

Shuura weaved her way back among the crowd, muttering feverishly to herself as she tried her best to erase that image of fashion horror from her head.

Seeing Natsuki handling all the customers by herself, Shuura gave a small sigh. She wanted to drop by the fish booth and check on Vyn, but if she was to improve the chance of getting that job at the cafe she might as well start "paving the way" there now.

"Nats!" she called out. "Why don't you go take a break? I can handle things here for awhile. You didn't have a chance to visit all the other booths before the festival started, why don't you go explore a bit? I'm sure that you'll find the, uh.....fishes over there quite interesting."

Turning, she realized that Roux and his brown-haired guardian was----Wait. No. Shuura gawked. The woman wearing the beautiful orange yukata was Chloe, no doubt, but...Pink hair?! Shuura gawked for a good moment. Not that it was weird, the soft pink actually looked really nice on her. Shuura just never expected that Chloe was the kind of person who would dye their hair in such an "untraditional" color. Well. It would impress Natsuki, no doubt.

"Chloe!" she said with some surprise, but greeted the duo with a grin. "You're here!!" She noticed what Roux was doing and grinned wider. "Damn. You guys are awesome! I was just starting to worry that the ice cream was getting melty!"

"Welcome back! I'll take a break after I get this cleaned up a little bit," Natsuki smiled in relief, seeing Shuura return and two new faces arrive.

Instantly, she adored hair belonging to the girl named, Chloe, and her smile brightened. Serving up a few more orders, she pulled out the basket of things to be washed from beneath the counter. Flicking through her packet of booth materials, she fished out the remaining two nametags. Giving a warm smile, she greeted to pink haired lady and her friend.

"I have two remaining name tags, so that must mean you are Miss Chloe Star and Roux?" Natsuki asked, holding out the two nametags. "It's nice to meet you. My name's Natsuki. I love your hair!"
