But those two guys are about the same weight

Frank got him with a heelhook as i recall... or some leg submission. It's been a while.

was this ADCC?

No it was a small event put on a while back. like before Frank got big.

was it amateur?

...What? It was a professional event, they got paid. However it was straight grappling if you're looking at the fight finder.

ah, that makes sense

Dirty fighting. I train for (along with my other training). Even just training against air can give you the muscle memory to pull it off effectively. Let's face it, a kick to the groin is easy. But what if they try to block it? What if you're not quick enough? What if you miss? Eye strikes are tough. You have a small area to focus on. Throat shots? Tough too.

Bruce Lee (my Martial Arts hero) was a street fighter, along with being a movie star. And he constantly practiced EVERY weapon in his arsenal. Including eye strikes, throat strikes, and groin kicks.

all moves apart from to the blows groin are fine in my books. i loose all respect for anyone who has to resort to attacks to the balls, unless outnumbered or aginst armed opponents.

This is funny. When you are in a confrontation, you can't be worried with whether or not your attacker is armed or not. At any rate, the objective is to disable the opponent. If I can do it with one strike to the groin... I'm taking it.

Strikes to eyes and things are a last resort or something you only use if your life is in danger. I know what I am doing I like finding ways to do large amounts of damage fast thats just how I train if I need to I can cripple or kill a person very easily. I have been told I am wrong that training this way means I will use it first without thinking but thats bull training teaches control if I can't control it I have failed as a martial artist.

I train for killing people as best I can I will most likely never half to I just like training and this is what I train for. To me Martial arts are just that combat techniques to kill people. I am not some one who goes around starting fights and I am not paranoid thinking I will be attacked be 3 guys and need to be like a ninja or Rambo. I think more of my self as someone who is trying to save knowledge that may be lost some day. I have seen a lot of people who train but it's more for sport or exercise. We are slowly running out of teachers who have real used what they know fe martial arts people have ever needed to kill soon I feel few will be teaching these things.

Thats just my thought on combat training and saveing true martial techniques.

What's lost will return. Learn it for yourself, and pass it on if you have the chance. Also, have you heard of San Soo?

San Soo, San Shou, Sanda yes I know about it no one around my area teaches it though. I have some info about it from what I hear it's very good.

Uh....no. San Soo and San Shou are not the same thing. San Soo is a rather nasty form of fighting originating from a Kuan Yin temple in Guandong. Part of why I was asking is that Kuan Yin is the Chinese Boddhisatva of Mercy, yet San Soo is an extremely practical, effective and, by terms earlier agreed upon, dirty. Eye gouges, throat punches and bites are common techniques used. Just wanted to point out the dichotomy of a peaceful order of monks creating a highly destructive art for their defense, and that it demonstrates the nature of street fighting rather effectively.
