"Badly enough that he probably would have died if I hadn't packed the wound with healing herbs," Aislinn commented before addressing Masato. "I don't believe you could kill me. There is no way that could happen, unless you're some unknown god." She paused and looked him over critically. "But then, if you were, there would be no purpose to you attempting to kill yourself."

"Arrogant, isn't she?" Osyth remarked to no one in particular, "'Course, she has good reason to be." She crossed the room and sat on the end of Kaede's bed. "How're you doing?"

Kenaz moved off of the end of the now-occupied bed and stood by Aislinn, studying their unwilling patient. What had he meant by that? It was certainly an odd thing to say, even if Kenaz agreed with Aislinn on the fact that this man would be completely unable to kill him; even if he was stronger, or a better figher, or anything like that, he couldn't fly. He nad Aislinn could, and if Osyth were in danger they could take her with them, or she could hide herself in the forest; no one knew forests like Osyth. No, Kenaz felt secure. There would be no need to kill this stranger.

Masato sighed. "I wouldn't be your killer. It would be-" Masato stopped. Just how much information was he willing to divulge to these strangers? He didn't know them well at all, nor did he care to. He took a deep breath before continuing. "If my family caught wind that you people had saved me . . . it's your demise. They'd kill you, then me too. So just stay out of it!" he lied. He rolled over to face the old one. "And you just leave me alone. I'm perfectly fine without your help. I can heal myself- if I want to." And with that Masato proceeded to unwrap his bindings, confining him to health. "Don't even try to stop me," he warned them, enraged.

"Don't try to stop you what? Heal yourself? After all the trouble I went to just to keep you from dying? Yeah, I'm gonna stop you from healing yourself," Aislinn commented sarcastically. "And about your family, they'd be no more capable of killing me than you would. If that's even the truth. It has the ring of implausability to it...."

Kenaz said nothing. He simply placed a gentle hand on Aislinn's shoulder. This guy's starting to pique my curiosity, he though. Best stick around a little while longer.

Zayne moved forwards when the other started to unravel his bandages, as though to attempt to stop him, but stoped when Misato mentioned healing himself. Letting his hand fall back down to his side. After a moment's thought, he approached the unwilling patient and smiled gently.

"I'm sorry for you not wanting to be here. Really. Please don't be upset though. Miss Aislinn and Miss Osyth just want to help. I'm sure we all feel the same. Despite what your family will or will not do should they catch wind of the occurences. I'm not worried about it, myself, but I would like to see you healed. So, may the Doctor please patch you up?"

Thus went the 'mighty compassion speech' of Zayne. Except, it wasn't practiced. He was actually like that. His concern, along with his somewhat pained expression at seeing someone so hurt, was genuine.

"Or, please just leave the wounds dressed.."

Masato sighed and stopped. He began to re-wrap himself. Once I'm healed, I'll go, and get it over with. My family's curse ends with me! he thought boldly to himself. But his talent at re-dressing his wounds wasn't as well executed as he thought he was able. The pain in his chest increased from the movement, so he stopped.

Seeing Misato's trouble, Zyne instinctively moved forwards to help him, but only got as far as touching the ressings before he withdrew his hands, and looked at the other man questioningly.

"May I?"

He wasn't about to push his luck with the unpredictable man, and besides that... It was rude to assume that just because he had allowed himself to be redressed, he would allow the yonug sorceror to touch him.

{{I'm really sorry, guys. I just completely forgot about this board. ^_^;;; Pretty incredible, eh, I forgot about my own topic. Eh heh....}}

Osyth sat on the end of kaede's bed, watching the argument progress. We are getting nowhere. And Aislinn's right, his family's not going to kill us... He didn't look at us when he said that, and it seems rather stupid, for his family to be mad about us saving him. She got up and marched over to the bed.

"Look, you," she told him angrily, "You may not be happy here, and you may want to kill yourself, but at least tell us the truth. Your family's not going to care if we save you or not. What's going to kill us if we don't kill you?"

Wincing slightly when Osyth confronted him like that, Zyne's hand hovered about two inches away from Masato's bandages, fully ready to tie them up again. But, since it didn't seem like he was gonig to receive a forceful rebuke, the sorceror gingerly began to rebind the wounds as best as he knew how. Now, he was no doctor, but he was doing a better job than the other boy had been.

As he redressed the wounds, Zayne's green eyes scanned over for the next bit of gauze that would require tying. That was the way sorcerors worked; always look to the future, while living in the present. It was best to be prepared for most anything, and any self-respecting sorceror had one or two bottled spirits on them for quick use.

|| OMG! I hate myself. I forgot about this RP for over a month! T-T I feel so bad. Plus, since I haven't actually 'joined' the guild, it's not on my list, so I easily forget about it. How could I forget my favourite RP??? I am poop. No! I am lower than poop! xP ||

Masato took a deep breath as the sorcerer re-wrapped his bandages. At this point, after the half-breed's angered confrontation, he was too shocked to resist. How had they known he was lying? Was it that easy to tell? Was it written all over his face? No, it couldn't have been. He was an excellent liar. It was next to impossible to tell whether he was telling the truth or not. Maybe he had underestimated the girl's power.

"You're wrong," he said. "My family would care a great deal if they came to the knowledge that you'd saved me. But for a different reason." He looked away for a moment before continuing. At least they wouldn't be able to see his face this time to tell if he was lying. "Everything I've told you has been the honest truth." he smiled inwardly, knowing that there was no possible way for the group to conclude that he was lying this time. But he was very much mistaken.

Perhaps Osyth knew. Perhaps Kenaz and Aislinn knew; Zayne didn't. As far as he was concerned, Masato was telling the truth. Why wouldn't he believe, after all? And, even if he suspected, the trusting sorceror was willing to reason that the other had a good reason for telling such a lie.

"Please tell me if I bind these too tight for your liking," murmured the blonde quietly, his emerald eyes flickierng to and fro over the wounds, debating which to dress first.

Masato turned his head back and nodded. He had on his face a rather bored, unthinkful look, but deep down he was happy for these folks' help. Too long had he been all alone, carrying his family's curse on his back. 'Twas only the men with this curse. This kind, anyway. The women... in order to diminish his family's members, they have all been cursed with infertility. The only reason he or his sisters were born is because somehow the curse had skipped his mother's generation. So they had a slight chance to repopulate. But it certainly haden't skipped his. Even Masato himself knew nothing really about his curse, only that the sooner he died, the sooner he wouldn't have to think of it anymore. Although his sisters' condition was unfortunate, at least they were still allowed to live. But death was the only excuse Masato had been feeding himself for years; he'd disappeared from his family's home long ago, before any explaination of his predicament could be given. He didn't want to know anyway.
