The doe was right, they needed to find out what was going on. Thankfully the rain seemed to calm the tree fire a bit in the downpour. The doe tugged him and he nodded and followed her close behind to join the distraught mother and group of strangers.
They approached and it seemed perhaps the mother was the one that had been screaming, and that the others were looking for the babies. He noted a baby in front of the doe, but this was clearly not one of hers. "I see... we can help too!" He looked at his new companion and smiled bravely to encourage her. They were roped into the rescue effort now, for good or bad! "Let's have a look at these pawprints they found...maybe we can see something." He hopped around looking for the prints, or anything else of interest. Is that a clue? 141 tw: 1,279Kyrieko I love Rain Drop and Thunder their perfect names for the situation haha <3

Zippy stopped babbling long enough to listen to the sad mommy bunny. Poor baby friends out there alone! It WAS scary for sure, but she was feeling pretty brave right now, like a real growed up! "I can help! I will look, I am really fast!" She said proudly to the mommy, then looked around. Her own mommy was nowhere to be seen... but her papa was coming so that was good, he could help too. "Hmmm...I bet they were SO scared. If I was a scared where would I run?" She tapped a little back paw and looked around, thinking. They would probably run away from the scary tree, that's what she would have done! So she ran off into the grass as fast as her little legs would carry her to see what she could find! 136 tw: 1,415Is that a clue?

The rain seemed to pick up in intensity. Because it wasn't hard enough to be searching for clues to where the kits had gone as it was ...

This update is for Sullivan and Kyrieko.
Rabbits are still welcome to join at this stage! This thunderstorm is moving off, with occasional lightning and thunder. The rain is increasing in intensity. Much of the burning tree has been extinguished, but there may still be the odd hot spot.
If your rabbit has approached the tree they may be able to see mama rabbit. If your rabbit would like to interact with her ensure they are in a position where this is possible.
If you're trying to talk to this new rabbit please add the additional footer to your post.
Who's that?
If your rabbit has previously spoken with mama rabbit, or another rabbit has given them information, they may search for clues. If you are searching for clues please roll 1d20. If you roll 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 or 20 post into the Event Hub channel on Discord. You should make a roll for each post you search for clues.
Is that a clue?
If your rabbit has spoken to Justice (or a rabbit has shared Justice's information with them) they may explore this tunnel, and may follow it attempting to find the lost kits.

Rain Drop felt her heart squeeze as the mother told them her kits were missing. Oh heavens! That was terrible and the poor mother rabbit? The doe reached out a comforting paw, glancing at the buck she'd run in to (and dragged along), nodding her head in agreement.
"Yes, we can help search as well! You said you were by the tree? But there are footprints somewhere else?" She tilted her head in confusion, shaking some of the rain from her eyes before looking back at the buck.
"Right. Let's start there!" She hopped after her companion for the moment, trying to see what they could find on the ground.

Eclipse just stared at the mother rabbit and the little kit that was in front of her. Soooo... that one wasn't one of her missing kits?
SIGH.
Pippin looked ready to cry. He was nodding his head as the doe told of her missing kits and the other two buns that had been asking if she was okay. O-Oh my! He couldn't even imagine what she was going through. He couldn't help thinking of Pumpkin and her kits... he missed them very much and wished he'd been with them right now not in a storm.
"We can help look as well?" Pippin offered, looking at Eclipse with a look that clearly said, DON'T YOU DARE LEAVE ME ALONE!
Sigh.
"Yeah. We'll help look too." He mumbled, soaked to his core and ready for this day to just be over.

Rain Drop caught sight of teeny tracks in the now mud by the tree, leading into the shorter grass that lead off to Sunset Acres. Had a kit gone this way?

This update is for Kyrieko.
If your rabbit has spoken to Rain Drop (or a rabbit has shared Rain Drop's information with them) they may explore the tracks, and may follow it attempting to find the lost kits.

Was that a little tuft of hair caught on a bush? It certainly seemed to be! Perhaps a kit went this way?

This update is for Kyrieko.
If your rabbit has spoken to Pippin & Eclipse (or a rabbit has shared Pippin & Eclipse's information with them) they may explore towards the river, and may follow it attempting to find the lost kits.

Who's that? Antheia had traveled most of the day before to spend the day with a dear friend in The Dale. The visit had been very pleasant but the weather was not as kind. It felt very foreboding and ominous in a way but she tried not to focus on it and enjoy her time with her friend. Her visit ran longer than planned but she still bid farewell to her friend and headed to leave as the sun started to touch on the horizon. The air felt so heavy as she crossed through The Dale, she decided to rest by the river briefly as the sun set.
Theia found herself startled awake having dozed off briefly by a storm rolling in, she quickly moved away from the river as lightning struck around her lighting the now pitch dark sky. Thunder boomed, shaking the ground as she ran for cover as rain started to fall. It was an orchestra of nature barreling through the sky and rocking the earth.
Suddenly in the distance a bright flash and large boom emitted as a large tree almost seemed to explode as lightning struck. Theia hoped no one was under it or in the near vicinity as it was now in flaming splinters littering the ground. Theia makes her way to a thick tree line, though knowing being under trees aren't smart she is able to burrow under some roots of one to take brief shelter.
After some time it seems the storm is starting to pass and though the rain is going strong she is worrying about the possibilities of their having been some near by and that could be hurt. She dashes out and heads towards the fallen tree. Thanks to the rain most of the pieces that were on fire are now at most smoldering. As she gets closer she starts to feel relieved as she doesnt see anyone, some are moving away from the tree, but as she gets closer it seems like there is someone there after all.
As she approaches the remnants of the tree she sees another doe close to what remains of the trunk of the tree. The doe looks worried, perhaps she got separated from someone? Antheia decides to approach to offer her assistance. "Im sorry, Miss? Are you ok? Can I help in any way?"

Mama rabbit was looking down right sodden. The pelting rain made her ears droop and she was starting to shiver. She turned towards this new comer, her eyes looking wild. "Please ... My kits! They're missing! You have to find them!"

Is that a clue?Antheia felt tears well up as the the mother rabbit looked at her wildly and pleaded for her help. Her kits had gone missing in the madness of the storm and the lightning striking the tree!! She can’t even fathom the emotions the mother must be feeling. She knew she had to help though, there was no way she could leave knowing there were little ones out there cold and scared. ”Don’t worry! I will help you find your young ones. Try to keep calm and stay here in case they come back!”Antheia slowly turned and went off to the left hoping find a clue as where the kits might have scattered too. They must be terrified with all this going on, she knows she would be. She hoped she would be able to bring back good news to the frantic mother soon! WC: 144 TWC: 535

Is that a clue?Antheia searched the nearby area for any sign of the kits but she couldnt find anything, no paw prints that would fit for small ones and the rain had made the ground into mud so what prints might have been there had been trampled now and it was turning into a giant mud pool. There were a few other adults hanging about in the area, they maybe were trying to help the poor mother as well as least she hoped she wasnt the only one trying to help her. Antheia stood on her hind legs and looked around her surveying the area. She looked off to the right where there was some tall grass leading to a tree line. She decided to head towards that direction, maybe she would get lucky and find some trace of them that way. WC: 139 TWC: 674

"Let's go, kit." Hoarfrost agreed, nudging him with his nose and following behind the kit. It'd take so much longer to do it this way than to go ahead of the kit, but he didn't want to lose the poor thing in the grasses again. Much to his chagrin, it did take so much longer than it would have if they'd been able to carry the kit. But it'd be difficult, passing off back and forth between them, and the buck had no interest in potentially injuring the kit as they darted through the grass.
After what felt like forever, Hoarfrost broke free of the grassy maze with Coy Koi, and made his way with the kit back to where the Mama was waiting for her kits, nudging the kit forward with his nose to return to his mama. "We've found one of them in the grass maze." Hoarfrost said to the distraught Mama doe, looking around with a frown. "There's no sign of the others there, though."
He didn't apologize for not finding all three of them, though his heart sunk when he realized that it seemed the were the first to find a kit in the Dales. The night was drawing on, and the longer it took to find the kits, the less likely they'd be found without injury at all. He turned his eyes to Coy Koi.
"We should try looking some more." Even as he said it, he regretted it. The old buck was tired, still damp from the storm above them before, and he wanted nothing more than to drag Asher back home before they got roped into more drama for the evening. Speaking of... He looked around, and swore under his breath, hopping away from the Mama a few paces.
"Asher and Justice are still in the maze. Damn. I knew we shouldn't have split up." He fumed at himself for not waiting for the damned fool. If he went back into the grass, there were good odds that they'd miss each other. Staying put felt useless to him, but he had no plans on returning to their burrow without Asher following behind him.

Redeemed Is that a clue?As Antheia headed to the tall grass she stopped by the far side of the tree and decided to search around the roots. She thought she may have missed something. She searched all around and circled around to the back of the tree carefully minding where she stepped as there were a few blown branches that were still smoldering despite the rain. She sniffed around hoping to pick up anything but with all the mud and rain it was really hard to tell one thing from the next. Not seeing anything helpful she continued on her way towards the taller grass. WC: 101 TWC: 775

Zippy slipped and flailed in a mud puddle before plopping with a wet SHLOP sound on her belly. This was certainly not going well AT ALL. Uhg, this mud is ruining my run! She sludged around trying to get going again, and finally managed to get out of the puddle... but was covered nearly ear to paw in muck. This might be a good spot to see signs of another kit, she thought, and looked around while shaking mud off herself now and then. 85 tw: 1,500Is that a clue?

There was just a whole lot of nothing going on out here, Zippy thought, still shaking mud off her fur. The rain had at least let up and the thunder wasn't as terrible. Maybe the kits were just hiding and being real quiet. She looked around, but it was just grass and grass for days out here. Where would she hide? In the grass, unless there were any holes to duck in to.
"Hellloooo? Little friends? Your mommy misses you!" She tried calling in her own squeaky kit voice. 89 tw: 1,589Is that a clue?
