XXXDefeated once again, Cali's head would hang in shame. Despite her best efforts, even calling on the monster card, it seem nothing she could do at this moment could hope to combat against Eli's own ingenious charm. Teases and banter on her part were tossed to the wind, where his own would radiate like a shining beacon. Indeed, this was not a day that she would catch him off his guard. Quite the opposite, in fact. The more she tried, the more she pulled at every fiber to put in an effort to catch him as the unexpected... It just left her open, and he ceased every opportunity. Surely, the more attempts she made, the closer she'd come to teetering off both embarrassment with an odd but sense of endearment. No matter how it went, whether he won every time or one of her few victories. She couldn't get enough of it, but she never quite understood why. Even now, she was a fumbling flustered mess because of her odd interaction with an egg only moments ago. It had been far worse than she imagined, and the rose-colored blush on her cheek would deepen at Eli's continuous attempts to tease her on the matter. ".. I do like eggs..." Was that a bad thing, though? It was her own stubbornness about it that caused her to do something so silly. Striving for a sense of independence, though done by silly means. Her pale brown hues would follow his hand, before closing as she submitted herself to his ceased victory. It always ended in a similar manner, from hair ruffles to nose boops, followed with such a rambunctious laugh. Even as she festered in her loss, her eyelids couldn't help but take a peek at him as the right corner of her lips cracked the faintest smile. The defeat was fresh, it was never so bad when she could see that smile she cherished. To hear the smile she adored.
It was all so new to her, so foreign. The two new women invading their personal bubble, their little world. It was enough to make the girl turn on her heel to run and hide, though the only place she could hide behind was her world. It was in his half-embrace that she found some clarity in it all, something to ease her need to distance herself. Truly, he was the only shelter that she needed. It was that sheltering embrace that caused her to look up, sandy hues meeting his own electric. Surely in that simple gaze, the two onlookers could see the sense of reliance backed with a most apparent tenderness static between them. For that moment, it looked as if Cali had been appeased, and began to ease from her shell though still attached at the hip with him. Yet of course, it left her open once again... She really should have known. The sense of tenderness in her gaze quickly dulled to that of annoyance, as mild as it was. "Maybe you're the monster after all..." Her cheeks would puff in response, poking at his remark just as he always did to her. So sly, so mischievous, while getting the most pleasure at watching the girl frantically scramble at everything he threw at her. Truly, a monster at its worst. As the monster would never miss a beat, it continued and the dull pink shades that lingered on her cheeks deepened once more. Her own sandy orbs would break away from his, trying to contain her flustered emotions due to the audience on the other end of the table. "E-Eli! Stop.. Y..you're too much..." What could she even say to it? She was already terrible at playing him in his own game, and now he was acting in such a way in front of their team. Was that even okay? Or was it like class, where the two could get in trouble from such antics? Then again, when did Eli ever think of consequences when he had a crowd to please and her to tease?
It was only Nox's interrupt that managed to pull Cali away from being Eli's victim once again. She had almost forgotten they were in the midst of introductions during it all, and the tension had shifted away from it as a result. "You..you may. .. No one calls me Calista... Eli made sure that Cali stuck.." A hesitant nod agreed to Nox's question before eyes panned back over to the man of the hour. Since Eli had always done their introductions, Cali was usually the first name that came to mind. It actually came by surprise that he said Calista this time, though it may had been for the formality of it all. While the girl found herself resting against Eli's frame, her eyes would pan back over the two girls. Both of which had continued eating, though Yenna, in particular, had pulled away from the bowl just enough to continue talking. Though she was far more loud and energetic for Cali's own comfort, there was a certain factor of nostalgia to the way she spoke. Sir Eli, Lady Callista. Titles lost to the past, as was their precious cardboard kingdom. There seemed to be a childlike wonder lost in it all, the cereal somehow tying it all together. Distinct memories of Eli's mother hollering out the window to them, so early in the morning with a mock old-timey voice for the children that had fallen asleep within their cardboard walls. Their breakfast was ready, a favorite cereal that the two shared. At the time, it was the breakfast of kings, so sweet and colorful. How odd that a new stranger could remind her of such happy times. "Of course... Lady Yenna." Even Cali would give her own two cents, playing along with Eli and Yenna. Reminded of such a happy memory, it could've only been a step in the right direction.
Curious eyes darted towards Eli's scroll, wondering what could've caused such a buzzing. Usually, it was random announcements or messages from their schools or housing. So rarely was there actual talk on the device, and Cali herself couldn't help but be curious since Eli had used the scroll in both their steeds. After all, Cali couldn't exactly touch it without the frail screen meeting a terrible fate. Unfortunately, Cali was just too short to be a snoop, and couldn't see the screen clearly. Merely an image of the girl who sat across the way. Before her mind could wander too far, their other teammate seemed to be up to something. Or rather, something caught her interest. Cali's gaze would shift to the rabbit girl, while herself tried to ease back as the rabbit leaned forward. Her eyes focused on the ears particularly, noticing their flicker to match such an intense gaze. What could they have done to bring such attention to themselves? It was... Making her rather uncomfortable, even within her sanctum that was Eli. That was, until a grin crossed her lips and she pulled away. ... What was she getting on about? A pair? Lovers? Fates intertwined? Frantically, her panicked expression would look back and forth between Yenna and Eli, unsure of what to make of it. "Um... I-I... Uh... E-Eli...?" Her tone was desperate, begging for some means of confirmation or simply a way to steer the conversation away.
Though it was Eli's response to it all that tipped the scales. No longer were just her cheeks rosy. Instead, her entire face radiated in a deep rose color, herself getting so hot and bothered by it all that she would surely be steaming. The embarrassment of their exposure had surely been what he was after, the wink said it all. "I-I-I... I mean... We-we... Surely... Together so long... Feelings... Fate... Unspoken... kiss... " Truly, the poor girl's mind became unhinged. Frantic and uncertain words about it all, they just came out as a stuttered mess. The depth of their love, entangled in a series of webs, had been long rooted with one another. It had always been unspoken. Instead, enacted with the way they interacted with one another. A love that was shared in actions, not words. One another becoming a sanctum for another, always attached by the hip. It was also the little things that had expressed their true feelings for one another. Small teases, sly smiles. Always taking that extra second to gaze at one another, as if they couldn't bear to pull away. Making sure they had gloves ready, so tentatively working around Cali's own condition. There were so many little things in each passing moment that it was expressed with instead. It was only a few days ago even that they shared their first kiss, no longer unspoken. Now her head would be darting between the three, so blatantly exposing their relationship to the light of day. Sure, it was obvious between the way the two interacted, but it was the confrontation on the matter that really spun her head. It was all so overwhelming, bubbling up inside her chest... If she wasn't careful, the top of her head would surely pop. To keep from it, she would instead bury her face against Eli, trying so desperately to hide from it all. The playful banter, the teasing remarks. Meeting new friends and acquaintances, while at the melting point from Eli's own exposure of them. As nervous as she was, as uncertain as it made her, these were the moments that grounded them in reality. If it wasn't for Cali's own flustered mess, perhaps Cali could've even tried to help with something involving tactics. Too bad it all fell on deaf ears as she tried to shelter herself away. Yet, it all ended in an instant. For among the clamor of the masses within the cafeteria walls, a far more distinct sound would cut through like a thunderclap. A think tension would ripple through the now unsettling atmosphere of this wonderful get together. Cali's own unease began to creep in, feeling a static of change in Eli's presence. It was only a moment before that he was happy and carefree, poking fun at her and doing his best to fluster her in front of their new companions. Now though, he was clearly on the defensive. "E..Eli..? What's.. happening..?" Her words were hesitant, fearful to ask what had been plaguing his mind. Her reddened expression began to fade as she pulled her face from his chest, looking up to try and get a read on him, what he was thinking ... What he needed to protect them from. He had turned and shifted, prying their attention away from their playful antics to something else..
It was hard to see, but Cali managed to make out a few shapes. It was a group of four. Two boys and two girls, two of which possessed horns. Though the male with horns seemed quite off and agitated, and his own set of horns held a much more wicked presence than the girl's. However, she couldn't see much more than that from behind Eli's larger frame. That didn't stop her from hearing it, though. Bang. Crack. Crash. So many violent sounds would uproar from that end of the cafeteria, followed by the intense sound of splintering wood that finally gave way beneath the abuse. ... After that, it all happened so fast. The moment the wood began to splinter, Cali felt Eli's protective embrace as he pulled her tight into his arm, shielding her against his chest. In his arms, the girl couldn't even attempt to struggle or fight back. Instead, she was being tugged around like a rag doll as he took charge of the situation. It was so hard to see, so hard to focus. The poor girl couldn't help but let herself retreat into the sanctuary that was against his chest, with his embrace. Her small and frail frame curled up against his own, fingers digging into his jacket to keep a firm grip on him. Honestly, she was afraid to let go. It was in moments like these that she always froze up, becoming consumed by panic and fear. In turn, Eli had never hesitated to take charge, to play the hero that she so desperately needed. ... From a time they were so little, to nearly a decade later. Nothing had changed, from her reliance on the one she adored, to the guilt she felt being so useless to him. Except for circumstantial occasions, he was always the one to endure the world for her. Even now, trembling in his arms, she couldn't fight the bittersweet feeling. Her admiration for his strength, to the guilt of falling to pieces in his arms.
It wasn't just her that she managed to protect, either. Truly, he was one that could cease any moment and adapt to an unfolding situation. The table had been flipped, and the meal of kings had been launched to the sky. On Cali herself, she could feel droplets of milk an bits of cereal raining down on her skin and hair. A piece of bacon managed to snag on her ear, and her own half eaten hard boiled egg pegged her own nose before Eli could duck into cover. ... Except, he wasn't getting behind cover himself. Eyes widening, Cali realised what exactly her beloved was doing. His own frame had ducked down, curling around her own to mask every last bit of her. He was intending to take it all, enduring the onslaught on his own. "Eli... Eli! You need to get behind something, please!" She tried so desperately to reason with him, but of course, he wouldn't listen to her. When it came to protecting others, when it came to her, nothing else mattered to him. ... Just as it was for her, and that made it all the more difficult to bare. She by no means wanted to be free, per say, but she did try valiantly to wiggle her arms free. All was for not, for despite her best efforts, he held onto her as if his life depended on it. ... Which considering them, it may have. This was one of the defining moments of their relationship, where he would take the mantle as the hero in their fairytale. A hero who would move heaven and earth to protect his kingdom, and ensure the princess was safe from any harm. In a moment like this, Cali was left as a damsel in distress, clinging desperately to his chest with only the hope in her heart that he wouldn't get hurt. If only she had been bigger or stronger, or had a semblance that did more than just hurt those around her. 'Please... Don't let anything happen to him...' Whether in a monstrous uproar or someones own reckless endeavors.. Cali wouldn't be able to forgive herself if Eli got hurt, and no less to whoever hurt him.

__They rate me at (7) Level 0. ______My aura is.. active, and my semblance is.. up. ______I fight with team DECO. ________My status is.. content___I am at.. Beacon Cafeteria_______Currently I'm in the company of.. Yennefer, Calista, and Eli ___ Nox paused halfway to her mouth with a forkful of the eggs as Yenna spoke about the other day to the others. "I'm not that bad. It was just a short chance meeting." She muttered. She hadn't talked much yesterday. That was true but there wasn't much reason to. The conversation was on definitely on the slow side. They barely even got past getting introductions from everyone before cafeteria closed up and everyone had started to head out. She ate what was left of her eggs while there was a break in the teams own conversation. Giving a simple nod of her head when Cali gave her permission to use her nickname. She even added a short explanation about it. At least she wasn't completely bottled up. It was around that time that she had polished the scrambled eggs off and Eli had read the message she sent him. But beyond that Yenna's behavior had changed a little as well. Nox's eyes locked onto the little one's rabbit ears as they twitched back and forth. It was a little mesmerizing watching them sway and twitch like that.
___ Of course after Nox had tried to get some more information about her suspicions on the down low Yenna had to take the exact opposite approach. The dark haired faunus felt a compulsion to facepalm as her efforts were so quickly overturned. She resisted the desire though, if just barely. 'I probably shouldn't be surprised that someone that is so earnest and energetic wouldn't have much tact.' Nox turned her attention to the couple across the table from them. Cali had been shrinking back into Eli's side as a response to Yenna's movements. While Nox had found it mesmerizing it seemed that Cali had found it worrying and had ultimately retreated when Yenna leaned forward to ask her question. Eli on the other hand reacted exactly the way she had hoped for. He came right out and declared it to be true. Nox couldn't help but feel a bit of giddiness well up in the pit of her stomach at the thought of the romance. Eli was right though in that they didn't hide the fact very well. They appeared to be perpetual dwellers in the cutesy flirting zone. Which was probably a little responsible for that feeling that Nox got when he was telling them it was the truth of their relationship.
___ Nox's body settled back into her chair as she gave the situation a little thought. Eli was with out a doubt right that he couldn't hide his relationship with Cali. It was definitely better to have it out there in the open rather than behind closed doors anyway. It was so damn cute after all... Ok that might be a biased opinion. Either way Nox now had to consider the implications it meant. The fact that two of her teammate were dating would without a doubt have an impact on how the team performed. She would need to keep it in mind going forward from here so that it isn't allowed to have a negative impact on the team. That was deep thought for a later time though. For the immediate time being it was much more amusing to watch Cali have her little melt down. Nox giggled softly as she watched the girl turn bright red and loose the power of coherent speech. From Cali's rambling it was apparent that the two had progressed far enough in their relationship that they had shared at least one kiss. It was a peaceful, fun moment they were having. It would of been nice if it had been allowed to play out to it's conclusion.
___ While Nox was distracted watching what looked like steam rise from Cali's ears and start to circle above her head Eli's whole demeanor changed. "What's up Eli?" Nox asked him as he suddenly turned in his seat. Things progressed swiftly from there. She had managed to follow the direction Eli had been looking to spot the danger just as the series of loud noises that accompanied breaking wood drowned out the general din of the crowd in the cafeteria. Eli had snatched Cali to himself as pieces both big and small of one of the tables were sent skyward. Even while shielding Cali as he was Eli still acted to flip their own table to create cover for Yenna and Nox to get behind. Nox's plate had been clear of almost everything. but most of the remaining bacon on it was tossed onto her as the tray was flipped off the table as it tipped over. Luckily she had finished the hot tea she had been drinking. Moving on pure reaction she got down off her chair and moved to a position in the cover of the table.
___ Outside of the cover that had been provided for the girls Nox could hear Cali screaming out of concern. She peeked over the top of the table to see why. Despite making a place for the team to shelter from the table remnants Eli wasn't making use of it himself. Instead he had Cali shielded behind his own body all curled around her form. His broad back exposed to the pieces of wood as the began their return to the floor. Nox's aura flickered to life around her body as she reached over the table. "Air shield." She commanded while she directed her aura to guide the local dust around them to work for her. A vibrant green glow would encompass Eli's back as a hard membrane of air formed a shield to cover him. Nox saw there were pieces of wood incoming and ducked back behind the table. The thud of large pieces hitting things and the clatter of the smaller pieces hitting things and the following crash of it all bouncing off and slamming into the floor was easy to hear. With the exception of the ones that made the table her back was pressed up against shudder it was impossible to tell which of them were merely landing nearby or which ones were hitting the shield of air she had made to keep Eli safe out there in the open.

NAME >>> Jazz Myers LOCATION >>> Ḅeacộn Âcademy - Ţhe Ćafeteria COMPANY >>> team JOLD EMOTION >>> Friendly MISSION >>> None - - - - - -It was clear that switching places drained Ora very quickly, a bead of sweat already rolling down her face. If he had to hazard a guess he would say she could only swap places a handful of times. Felix remarked on how impressive the semblance was, which he wasn’t wrong about. Jazz began to think about how it must’ve made Felix felt, to be given a semblance that required so much self-constraint but to see someone else, your own twin sister, with such a liberating semblance. That’s a tough pill to swallow. Felix went on to let Jazz know that he shouldn’t feel bad for not knowing his own semblance yet. Thank you Felix. I just hope I can still be useful to this team when the time comes… With my body the way it is right now though.. He forced on a smile looking between his new team members. I’ll do my best as your new team leader. I hope I don’t let any of you down.Ora seemed upset Jazz was against the idea of throwing Felix into a crowd. But you were the one against him being in public in the first place? Perhaps she just had trouble with authority figures, but when she explained how touching Lena might not be for the best Jazz understood. I’m so sorry I didn’t make myself clearer. No, I don’t want that to happen either. If anything, I would hope he wouldn’t touch anyone unless it was absolutely necessary. He looked back at Felix who was gagging at the thought of flirting with his sister. Felix. Are you still with us? Jazz waited until he saw some sign of response. You must take that gift seriously. No more trying to touch people to gain their skills in the moment. There are things you have to learn the hard way. It’s not nice, and I wish I didn’t have to make this so apparent. But so far you’ve given me no reason to feel I can trust you. Sighing he went on But, against my better judgment. It’s ultimately down to you to decide when absolutely necessary is. So, I’m putting my faith in you. Hopefully, that meant something at this early point in their team. Ora and Lena were having a serious discussion on whether it was ok to use the Oxton’s family fortune to dress Felix. Perhaps I should interject and suggest using my card? He didn’t want to get involved in everything within the team, some things had to be dealt with in private, learning what he should get involved with would take time to discover. Lena.. I’m also able to assist with finances. Don’t feel you have to be financially responsible for the whole team. He raised his card, while not as dazzling as Lena’s she would be able to tell he had more money than the average butler should. Putting the card away everyone suggested they too were ok with attending a catch-up class. Before he had the chance to respond Ora changed, that was the best way to describe what he saw. Suddenly her eyes turned a piercing white and a strange black aura surrounded her. Felix, what have you done!? Ora quickly reached up and grabbed Felix’s hand. This is bad. Very bad Now was possibly the worst time for their team to have a scene. Jazz had no strength to fight, let alone defend himself. Lena was trying to separate the two, seemingly ready to sting Ora should it be necessary, while Felix was trying to get Ora to calm down. Talking about you and not her! I think she should’ve spoken about both of you in that case! So many thoughts were going through his head right now, yet his mouth wouldn’t move. It only got worse when Felix finally fell to the floor, the two had touched. No… No. NO! Jazz’ eyes grew wide as Felix writhed in pain, scratching at the floor. As Felix’s horns began to grow, Jazz finally found the ability to move. Lena! Grab Ora and get away! Even Molly was running at this point. Felix rammed into the table, crushing it upon impact. Splinters, both large and small, were sent flying towards a table filled with other students. Fortunately, they were able to prepare themselves by flipping their own table to defend themselves, although one of them looked as though they hadn’t had time to get behind it. Jumping around Jazz got between Felix and Ora. Ok Felix. I’m in no condition to hold you down. But. I’m not having you send her into a rage like this as well. Jazz may not be the smartest, but it was obvious that the twins held some terrifying power. One was bad, two meant death. Lena. I’ll give you as much time as I can.. Honestly. I doubt it’ll be more than a few seconds. But if those two go at it I fear the result. The surge of adrenaline was the only thing keeping Jazz up right now, anyone looking at him would clearly see his body shake. Both from weakness and fear, could he stop this chagrining buck? There was no time to find out, he had to. Reaching out to the charging Felix, Jazz would grab onto his horns and plant his weight into them attempting to send them to the ground. Felix seemed to be staggering from an injury. Right, memories! His only real hope was Felix reacting to his memories as though they were real, including perceived injuries. Jazz let out a swift kick to Felix’s leg, praying it might be enough to stop Felix, if only for a few seconds. Post Count: 56 Mission Count: 2 OOC: How was this lucky xD

No, she didn't want to be put down, she didn't want her hair cut. It was soft, curly, and fluffy. Yes, it was short, but even at this length, you could tell that it was like a sheep's wool. They weren't getting her hair.
Then the table in front of her broke, sending shrapnel into her body. Now they were shooting her? She guessed that they would kill her if she didn't comply with them. That was fine with Ora. She didn't want to live anyway. The torture was too much, she had caused many to die. She was ready to atone for those sins that they had forced upon her. She opened her arms, ready to die to a shower of bullets.
What was happening outside of her mind was that Ora would attempt to push Lena away from her, so that she couldn't be injected. Then the shrapnel hit her body, causing large pieces to pierce her body. It seemed like she was not using her Aura at this time. Her arms would go straight out, as if accepting her death as Felix with Jazz charged towards her. The black energy not dispersing as she was afraid of death, even if she wished for it to happen.

XXXAw, the poor guy. It seemed that Jazz was feelin' a bit down in the dumps about both his physical condition and lack of semblance. With a reassuring grin, Felix would throw up a salute to try and give him some confidence. "Aye mate, you got this! With you in the lead, I know we'll be in good hands. I mean, look at those jazz hands." Trying to make light of the mood, Felix would make a friendly poke back to the ongoing joke between them. Making sure not to snap, he'd be sure to point his guns towards Jazz with a grin. Yeah yeah, gotta be careful with his touch, not stealing memories all willy nilly. He heard it all before! ... Well, he specifically heard Ora telling him that in his memories of her, the worry wart was always afraid he'd go and get himself lost and in trouble. ... Which, was fair. After all, that's exactly what happened the last time they were together. He went berserk, then just went missing for a year only to make a splash right back into her life. "Aye Cap'n! I won't let you down!" Hey... The trust was something, right? It was better than the whole 'Oh conceal don't feel, don't let them knooow' shindig that he always got. It was just too bad that Felix already flumped up that bit of trust when Ora tried to crush his wrist. Then again, was it COMPLETELY his fault? He was covered up, that's what they asked! ... Though, he was the catalyst that triggered the event.
That was it, that was enough. Getting his footing, the boy would finally prepare to charge at Lena and his sister with a head full of spikes. ... That was, at least, until another individual approached. His mind was so hazy, obscure images with no clear details. All he could truly see was a figure larger than himself, trying to straddle him down to keep things in order. Why were they shaking? Were they that upset with him, that angry with him? Their weight, it meant nothing. He was far too strong to be held down by the weight of another. With his horns straddled, he'd continue to try and push forward, bucking his head in the process. However, in the midst of trying to push forward, trying to get away... An intense pain shot through his leg from the blunt force, and the boy would be forced to catch himself on the ground instead of charging. For a moment, his vision would even begin to clear. What were once blurry figures, he could see a familiar sheep faunus... What were they trying to do to her? What was that woman doing to his sister?! And this scientist, the one who held him by his horns... This scientist always tried to keep them down, using the utmost dirty tactics. It often times took multiple of time to manage to restrain the enraged Behemoth during an episode, but not before it got worse. Within his fearful black aura, traces of red began to illuminate and blend in a medley of demonic colors.
Well, no matter! The boy wouldn't go down, no matter how hard they tried to restrain him. He refused to endure anymore of this. Even though he feared these scientists, these monsters... It was nothing compared to the brewing rage from the pain they caused them, and whatever they were about to do to his sister. Getting a second wind as the black and red aura radiated, he'd start pushing himself off the ground and begin savagely bucking his head, trying to shake the scientist off. Each one became more violent as if the boy was riding a rampant bull. After several bucks, if he hadn't finally been launched off, Felix would do one last buck to try and launch the boy over his shoulders before ducking down to go in a direct charge towards Lena this time. After all, there was a flip in his mindset, and now she was trying to do something to his sister. He wouldn't allow that, not over his dead body! If no one took him down, he'd charge directly towards the two, with a ferocious swipe of his horns towards Lena. He had every intention to use his deathtrap of a skull to rip the two apart from each other, and then rip Lena apart even further.

XXXNo matter how much she protested, how much she objected to Eli using himself as a shield, there was nothing she could do. The boy had always been like this. From the moment they met, he assumed a protecting and guardian role over her, to ensure that she never met any danger in the slightest. It wasn't just with her, either. Eli always held a righteous stance, acting as a protector to anyone who needed it, whether a friend or a complete stranger. If he could do anything to ensure the safety of another, he would do so in a heartbeat without a second thought for his own well being. Something that she wished he could be more careful with, because such a protective nature was reckless on its own. IF only Cali could begin to repay him for all the times he protected her, whether from the immediate danger of a hazardous situation, or the plaguing sense of social anxiety. Eli had managed to endure it all time and time again, more than she could even begin to count on her fingers. It was quite a rarity that she could ever do the same for him, though if she could, she'd do so without second thought... Just as he had always done for her.
Now though, as his own body wrapped around her own to protect every inch of her once delicate skin, he spoke in the most soothing tone. One that managed to sooth her heart rate and calmed panicked breaths. Uncertain sandy hues would connect with his own electric hues, a calm and collected gaze that lured her into the faintest sense of security. "Eli... I..." Despite the unfolding chaos, despite all the danger surrounding them. ... It was his oh so familiar smirk and most gentle touch through her hair that eased her, with the oddest sense of familiarity. ... Whenever something terrible was happening, whenever she was enveloped with panic and whenever he took this role, he always kept that up his sleeve to put her at ease. Even if for but a moment. It didn't come easily, but her stirs and squirms would begin to die down as his soothing down and smirk that eased her heart brought her back in time. A time where the circumstances were much more severe, where the girl was absolutely certain that her live has been reduced to a mere series of minutes. Her mind was dazed and her throat was on fire, all the oxygen burned right up only to be replaced with a thick black smoke. All hope was lost as she watched her parents turn their back against her, left to burn alive under the blazing debris. It was against all odds that this boy who she cherished most ran into the fire with reckless ambition, and managed to pull her away. As he hoisted her onto his shoulders, his lips curled in the exact fashion as he reassured her with his voice. 'Shhh Cali, don't , it'll all be okay. Just hold your breath for a minute longer, and I promise we'll be okay.' It was that moment in her life that she saw the light, but a young spider boy managed to pull her away and back to reality. He had given her just enough hope to not quite give up yet, and returned that same assurance moments later when met with a much larger foe. Eli had given up his very life to ensure she didn't burn alive in the home that had been her prison for so long, and Cali used the last of her strength to ward off the new beast that tried to rip away the last shred of hope they had. ".. Just don't want you to get hurt.." Time and time again, she was afraid of history repeating itself. In him protecting her, he had always found a way to get himself hurt. That was the only worry on her mind, though she still couldn't help but feel a growing sense of endearment. After all, she was the only one who he held so close. While he always always acted to protect at the drop of a dime, she was the first priority, the one he soothed and calmed. He had always managed some way to bring the faintest sense of ease into her heart, no matter how fire the circumstances were. It was something she deeply admired, and surely considered herself the luckiest girl in the world to be the one he chose to keep in his arms.
Even though he smiled, even though he tried her best to assure her, she could never be so easily guided into a full sense of security. Not for herself, though. She knew very well that the safest place for her was in his very arms, and knew that he would never let anything happen to her. It had always been that way, and never once did she take it for granted. What she was worried for instead was his own safety. Her ears could hear the pieces of wood piercing through the air and the sound of tearing fabric as it punctured through him and into a variety of points in his back. Ears so acutely listening to the sharp breaths, eyes focused on his faltering expression as he furrowed his brow. A worried expression continued to grow on her face, even though she had no particular grounds to base if off of. Knowing better than trying to escape his grasp, she instead slowly moved her hand to his cheek, gloved fingers gently caressing his cheek as the material began to crumble to pieces. "What... Would I ever do... Without my knight?" It was her turn to try and be reassuring, or rather, appreciative for everything he was doing. ... Truly, if it hadn't been for him acting so quickly and valiantly, she surely would've been met with an unfortunate set of circumstances. She hadn't even known the true dangers of what was happening around her. Only that Eli was prepared to endure it all for her. In the midst of the chaos and Eli's reassurances, she managed to catch the words of her new found captain. There was a mention of wind, before several loud clatters of wooden splinters colliding with a hardened wall erupted from behind Eli. It was that very sound that caused Cali's eyes to widen, as it became clear in that moment of how much danger Eli had been exposed to. 'What... What just happened? ... Did Nox protect him..? I... I'll have to thank her..' It was an odd mix of appreciation and jealousy that began to swell inside her. The fact that Nox went out of her way to ensure Eli was safe through some means meant the world to Cali, though it weighed heavily in her heart that she couldn't do anything about the situation. ... No matter, the only thing that mattered in this moment was that Eli hadn't become a pincushion, and it was thanks to whatever Nox had done. Cali would be eternally grateful for that, and owed her a most heartfelt thanks in appreciation.
The shattering barrage of splinters ceased after a few moments, and Cali felt herself pulled to her feet by the man who protected her through it all. Wary eyes looked over Eli, trying to scan him in the same what he had done to her, though couldn't notice anything from the front side. Gentle brown orbs locked on his as she lightly bit the bottom of her lip, before looking down at both of their feet. Her ankles stood apart, toes together while her right foot turned back and forth nervously. Her words were hesitant, drowned with worry, but she truly appreciated what he had done for her... What he was willing to endure. It always made her chest warm, her heart flutter, though constantly plagued herself in worry when he put himself in danger like that. "T..thank you, Eli.. You kept me safe... But.. I was really worried about you.. I think... Nox...." Slowly, her eyes would look up as her words began to slow, before falling silent. The boy had turned away from her, and promptly kept her behind his back. Had he realised how big of mistake he made in doing that? Touched, yet nervous eyes would widen in shock, seeing his back riddled with multiple pegs of wood that tore so effortlessly through his jacket and caused a red fluid to run down his back and drip onto the floor. "E-Eli... You're hurt..."
He had done it again. Just like in the blazing memory of their past, him trying to valiantly to be her hero had resulted in him getting injured himself. Reluctant hands began to slowly reach towards his back, though stopping as she noticed the gloves crumble to dust off her very palms. This wouldn't work, she couldn't touch his back without her gloves. Not only that, pieces of wood like that couldn't be removed so recklessly, they needed professional help or else it would only get worse. Eli had endured all that pain, but he still wanted to try and help those who did this to him?! She felt a sudden surge in her need to protect him, a desire to ensure he didn't push himself any further. The girl would promptly grab a hold of his wrist, shielded by his leather sleeve to try and pull his attention towards her. "Eli. You're hurt! You told me everything was fine... How is having a back full of wood fine?! We need to get those checked out, before they get any worse... Please... I know you want to help... We should, but..." Even as she talked, as she wanted to lecture him, she found her words drifting to silence. It was a bit odd. She almost felt greedy for wanting to make sure that his wounds were tended to as fast as possible. It was likely due to how well she knew him, knowing very well that he'd run himself ragged before taking a moment to tend to himself. As she tried to pull him back, she too would see the situation unfolding. A man already injured was being bucked around like a ragdoll, and a woman with horns was riddled a series of wooden splinters just as Eli was. The horned male faunus was no closer to calming down, either. Instead, he seemed to be revving up for a charge towards the women across from him, a disaster that was continuing to unfold. ... Now she too was beginning to share the same worry that Eli had. She was worried to death for his condition, but knew that she couldn't talk him away from it... Not until everyone was safe. "Wh..what should we do..? You have my heels, but... I don't think those will help..." Indeed, her most reliable strength was her physical curse that decayed everything. Which only worked if she touched it. Perhaps she could use her heels to propel them over there, but then.. What else could they do? As this situation continued to unfold, she began to feel more and more useless.

NAME >>> Jazz Myers LOCATION >>> Ḅeacộn Âcademy - Ţhe Ćafeteria COMPANY >>> team JOLD & team Deco EMOTION >>> Friendly MISSION >>> None - - - - - -Ora wasn’t moving. Then she did. She opened herself to Felix’s charge. What the hell is Lena doing!? He shouldn’t be focused on what was going on behind him, but couldn’t help himself, he had to know they were getting away. Lena, however, had other plans, deciding instead to try and talk to the person who was both in shock and imminent danger. Lena! Jazz was pissed. Sure, they hadn’t known each other for long, but an order is an order. The thing that baffled Jazz most wasn’t the fact she didn’t listen, it wasn’t her lack of response, it wasn’t even her attempting to pull large chunks of shrapnel out of Ora. It was the fact that his order should’ve lined up with Lena’s desires. What!?! If she truly cared for Ora the way Jazz imagined, then why was she allowing her to stay in harm’s way. Jazz’ kick had worked, temporarily. With Felix on the ground, Jazz figured he had a few seconds to do something. He wanted to shout at Lena, but if she didn’t listen the first time, why would she the second? Ok Jazz. He’s down, but by no means out. He’s definitely stronger than you are right now. So, how do I make space between Felix and Ora? Panting Jazz watched as Felix became even more enshrouded in this mysterious black aura. Traces of red could be seen amidst the fog and the sense of panic grew within Jazz. This is bad. Before Jazz could begin to plan something Felix began to buck. Each shake of his body getting stronger than the last. Jazz was using all his crippled might to simply hold onto Felix’ horns and not get pierced, although they came close to doing so several times. It wasn’t long until Felix had a new plan. Using all his might he tried to send Jazz straight over him, there was nothing that could be done to stop it. Wait. Was it genius or just desperation? Regardless Jazz had a plan. Kicking up with all his strength and pushing down on his arms, Jazz used Felix’s buck to send him into a full flip over Felix. As his legs rose up he stretched as much as he tried to catch both Lena and Ora with his feet, a full force flip kick aimed straight at their chests. If he landed they would be knocked away from Felix for sure, maybe even through the canteen doors. It was all he could do at this time. After being thrown over Felix, Jazz’ instincts told him to hold on for dear life. He felt one of his shoulders pop as his back slammed into the now charging Felix, the last embers of adrenaline numbing the pain just enough to not let go. Need a hand? Jazz snapped his head towards the first sign of assistance. YES! How was that even a question? He was a cripple riding on the back of a monster, charging towards a suicidal girl and someone who made every bad choice she could right now. Either drop him or grab the girls and run! Or both! I don’t care! Post Count: 57 Mission Count: 2 OOC: #SaveJazz

That didn't make sense. Why did they shoot her, only to take out the bullets? She looked up, and for a moment, her vision flashed to the truth. It was Lena that was taking them out. Wait, she didn't want to die, she had a mission to finish. She felt a rush of blood leave her body as the shrapnel was pulled out. Clarifying things further. She would grab the limbs to stop them from hurting her further. "Lena, what are you doing?! Are you trying to kill me?!" Her voice sounded angry, but the black fearful energy was gone from her back. She would then throw the limbs away from her. She would then look at the scene in front of her. Felix was fighting Jazz, as the other team seemed to be defending themselves. Jazz would then kick off of her, trying to push her back. Ora was like a rock though, she was just trying to get what was happening.
She would see that Felix was close to charging Lena. It was then a purple sheen of energy would coat Ora's body, as she activated her Aura. She would charge at her brother, her horns aimed to go through his thicket of spiky horns. Her face would get scratched in the process, but she should hit him head to head. If she got to his face, she would slap him. "This is my pain, not yours Felix." She knew this wasn't a true behemoth mode. He was afraid, because he had touched her while she was in a state. She knew how scary her memories could be, and she honestly wanted to help her brother.

Once Ora snapped out of her trance like state, the insect Faunus smiled as the limbs retracted. Lena was about to say more when Ora had jumped to clash with brother. Though by the looks the had locked horns, the movements had knocked her over. Dazed as her head hit the floor Lena slowly got up, shaking the cobwebs out. Seeing the fight Lena ran and leapt, wrestling to put a choke hold on Felix. She would try to knock him in a sleeper hold, the robot limbs wrapping around him to trip him. "Come on Felix, snap out of it!"74

XXXIt seemed that the scientist that was holding on for dear life also had a bone to pick with both the scientist in front, as well as attempted to harm his sister. For a moment, Felix felt relief on his head as the weight shifted, only to come crashing back down on him as the man continued to ride on his back. This was becoming an old fashion rodeo as Felix continued to charge towards Lena. Though, shockingly enough, someone had confronted him in his fearful fury. A woman with a shimmering purple clashed heads with him, horns interlocking as the spikes tried to scratch at her face as skull. Felix would brace himself against the ground, using his might in order to stand his ground against the woman who chose to intervene. The clash was loud and powerful, while the two struggled to hold their own against each other's own strength. Both of them were injured, but neither of them would waver. It was then something surprising would happen, a clean slap across Felix's face. Eyes would widen at the abrupt slap, while memories from their clash and slap would update with Ora's own feelings. Glazed over eyes would begin to return with a proper shimmer, though wincing at the new found pain from the piercing shrapnel. The black aura began to fade away at the sound of Ora's voice. "Your pain... Not.. mine..?" His words were uncertain, the trace of fear causing him to question the topic and its truth. How could he know she was being honest? ... Well, she was his sister, what more did he need?
Though, with the refreshed pain and memories, came refreshed emotions. For just a moment, it seemed as if the situation was diffusing as if he was calming down. That was until he felt robotic appendages wrap around him and begin to manhandle him. It was only thanks to Jazz's positioning on him that she hadn't managed to put his neck in a hold. Instantly, the gaze fell empty again before replacing with an intense hatred as rage began to boil inside him. Any traces of black aura would be overwhelmed by a deep red aura that would pour from his birthmark and radiate over his body. His arms would rip away from the robotic appendages as they attempted to wrap around him, before slamming down the hand closest to Lena to hold them firm and pull with a crushing grip. Eyes seething with rage would focus on Lena as he pulled his horns from Ora's while his head violently jerked to look towards her. "What the HELL are you doing!?" It already made the boy angry enough that his fogged memories saw her as someone trying to hurt Ora, but then feeling ignored and having pieces of shrapnel so recklessly ripped out of 'him' really began to tip him over the edge. Now, when he was finally catching a breath, she was trying to bring him down? No! Not anymore! Strength was on his side as he stood his ground, and would attempt to pull away from Ora by throwing his free arm out to toss her away. As he worked to distance himself from Ora, he'd throw himself towards Lena, even with Jazz still dangling on his back. Whether or not he managed to pull away and close the gap, he would attempt to use that motion in order to violently pull Lena closer by grasping the appendages with both his hands, jerking them down and towards him. With that motion, he would slam his spiked head towards the girl, ready to skull bash her to kingdom come and break this toy of her that dragged her into this situation. He was no longer afraid. Instead, it was time for others to be afraid of him.

__They rate me at (8 ) Level 0. ______My aura is.. active, and my semblance is.. up. ______I fight with team DECO. ________My status is.. content___I am at.. Beacon Cafeteria_______Currently I'm in the company of.. Yennefer, Calista, and Eli, Team JOLD ___ The table shuddered and creaked softly as the barrage continued slamming pieces of wood into its surface. Nox counted four large pieces striking it and making it shake against her back. During all of it a piece hit the edge at the top, flipping it up into a spin. The piece landed in Nox's hair. The sounds of wood striking things started to fade away after that. She hesitated for a moment after that before moving up onto her knees and turning around to look over the edge of the table. There was no sign of more flying debris in the air. Off to the left were the others. Cali seemed to be safe and sound still tucked into Eli's embrace. The green glow of her 'spell' faded as Nox checked out Eli. He seemed fine but as he got up she could make out at least one piece of wood lodged into his back. She bit her lower lip a little. She had miscalculated. He was further forward and closer to the source of the projectiles than she was so the shield hadn't finished it's weave and solidified before the fragments had arrived. After an internal sigh she relaxed herself. She couldn't change matters and even if she could make an attempt it would be impossible for her to have reacted any faster than she had.
___ Nox lifted her head and met Eli's gaze when he asked if she was alright. She rose to her feet while plucking the piece of wood out of her hair. The splintered fragment was roughly the size of one of those fancy pens. "I'm fine, thanks to you quick thinking with the table." Nox dropped the piece of wood to the floor and used her other hand to brush off a couple strips of bacon that were stuck to the fabric of her coat as she responded. Eli turned around then and Nox looked up from her examination of her clothing for any more intruding pieces of the bacon that had landed on her lap. There were more than just that one piece stuck into the boy. Two or maybe three. It was hard to tell if that one was actually in him or if the shield had caught it and it was just hanging from the hole in his clothing because it's rough edges were caught on the fabric. Understandably Cali was reacting strongly to the sight. She had grabbed hold of his arm by now and was insisting they go get him checked out. Eli on the other hand was all for trying to provide help to the other team.
___ Speaking of the other team. Eli's question reminded Nox that there was indeed a group causing a disturbance. She looked over to see what had happened to them while she had been ducked down in cover. The sight was not a good one. There was a guy riding on the boy that had shattered the table and the scene looked more like something out of a rodeo show than they likely wished for. While a desperate struggle to hold on was happening on the one side the other side had been bloodied. The girl with the horns was full of shrapnel pieces. The other girl in a panic had started to pull them out. It was the boy trying to hold onto Felix that responded to Eli's offer to provide an assist. His tone was dire and pleaded for expedient action on their part. Having the pieces of wood pulled out of her body seemed to bring the girl around and a moment later the situation looked like the other team might manage to handle matters on their own. The horned girl got right in with the horned boy and his movements started to slow and calm.
___ What appeared to be an internally achieved conclusion to the issue was short lived though. The girl that had been trying to help the horned girl recover now tried to help the others restrain the last member of their team that seemed to be going berserk. However by winding those mechanical arms of hers around Felix his dazed confused state that had appeared as if it would eventually calm him down broke. He went right back into his rage. He first broke his horns free of Ora's and swung his head around to bear it down upon Lena once more. He was ignoring the boy on his back but was pushing Ora away. All the while breaking free of the mechanical arms. The moment he was free enough he lunged towards her and used her own device against her to reel her in with her own arm. 'Not good.' Nox thought as her right hand shot up. The vibrant glow of her aura encased her body as she began to weave the dust in the air for another of her 'spells'. Her semblance power guided the dust in the air to form a weave around her target and as the weave came into place to complete the not the effect would begin to take effect.
___ "Please make it... Air Bind." As she called out the same green dust glow that had shielded Eli earlier formed around Felix. The effect of what she was attempting wouldn't be hard to guess based on the name she had given it. The air itself around her target was quickly firming up like hardening cement. So long as he remained dedicated to getting Lena and didn't take drastic efforts to get away from the weaves she had place around him the air would eventually harden beyond his ability to force his way through it, thus holding him in place. Or that was the hope. She looked over to Eli since he seemed so gung-ho to help out. "If you have something in mind Eli you best get to it before there is any more bloodshed."

XXXEverything was happening so fast, and Cali was continuing to watch from behind Eli's frame that continued to protect her from the world. Soft and worried sandy hues watched as the horned male took off in a charge towards the group, only to collide with the shimmering purple frame of the horned woman that was riddled with shrapnel. Cali watched in growing angst as the two collided, pinning the boy between the woman before him and the man that was fastened onto his back. From their mass, a crisp and echoing snap would ripple through the cafeteria. It was a sound that was oh so familiar in the depth of Cali's mind, she couldn't help but flinch at the sound. Though she was wincing, her eyes would once again crack open to looking across the way. For the briefest moment, it seemed that the climactic moment had finally come to an end, and the danger would finally begin to die. The veil of black aura that shrouded the faunus would thin out, dissipating to a faint haze. "Is.. it over..?" Her words came out soft and hesitant.. Perhaps it was finally done, and Cali could convince Eli to go to the infirmary. That the excitement had come to an end, and she could let out a sigh of relief. If only.
In an attempt to calm the deranged boy, the girl with robotic appendages jumped into the fray and tried to keep him restrained. In theory, it sounded like a great idea, but in actuality... Even from a distance, it looked to be a terrible mistake. Cali's sandy hues widened as the boy's deep red aura erupted to shroud his body, radiating brightly as he began shouting. His presence was utterly terrifying. With his uproar, he'd begin a series of movements to force the horned girl away only to begin a new assault with a new target in mind. With a series of thrashing movements, he'd use the woman's own robotic arms against her to keep her in arms reach to be ravaged by his skull riddled with horns. Perhaps what was her only saving grace was the green cloud that illuminated in the air from her captain towards the targeted woman. A cloud that Cali could have only assumed was responsible for protecting Eli from any further damage and was now being used to protect the other assailed team. As it shimmered, the horned faunus' movements seemed to slow, as if being restricted by a supernatural force. It may not have been enough to completely stop him, but it was certainly enough to make a difference between life and death. ... Perhaps with that same opening, something further could be done. Which brought her gaze back to Eli, who was surely devising a plan in real time.
That look in his eyes, it was one she could never forget. It was the same look whenever he took on a bully, the same look whenever he was about to throw himself into the fray. Whenever it came to protecting someone, whether herself or someone else, he always had that same look of determination. It was one that she admired so but feared all the same for his own wellbeing. Especially now, with so many sustained injuries from protecting them, he was still ready to dive straight into the fray to save another. She couldn't let him do it, not this time... This faunus had already hurt so many. It had already hurt him, and his rampage continued. It was far too dangerous. ... And she wasn't willing to let him take another hit like that. It already pained her to see the wooden splinters throbbing from his back, and there was no telling what else this faunus was capable of. Even with Nox performing whatever sort of magic she was to slow the beast, it wasn't nearly worth the risk of a slip up taking Eli away from her, away from them... Even just the idea of losing him to the deranged faunus was worse than anything that the faunus could do to her.
While Eli was a tactician, Cali held a similar talent. She had already begun piecing a concept together, and it was as simple as smacking the boy in the head hard enough to snap him out of whatever he was doing. If a slap had calmed him before, perhaps a stunning impact from her heels could do the trick... If all else fails, the potential trauma could at the very least knock him out. ... Now, at least for Nox and Yenna, it might've seemed out of character for Cali to break from her shell, but she had to act before Eli ceased the opportunity that Nox was egging him on for. "Eli, wait!" Cali shouted just before he could take a step, to draw his attention away for just a moment and break his focus on the situation. After all, when did he EVER ignore a call from her? Just this once, she'd abuse it and use it to her advantage. With just a split moment of a distraction, Cali would reach up to snatch the bag from his shoulder and swinging it away from him. Contents began pouring from the bag, including two stunning heels that were tossed into the air. Without missing a beat, Cali would flex and flip her figure forward into a handstand towards the upright table, during which she'd kick her feet into the air. As her body arched forward, each foot would swing up and click as the heels fastened into place onto her feet. Finishing her arched handstand, her feet would touch the upright table before radiating with the glow of burst ammo. "I've got an idea... Just be ready to catch me!" Though she announced it to Eli, she wouldn't give him the chance to deny her. She'd push her frame off the ground, leaving only her heels in contact with the table as she prepared for launch.
Burst ammo would explode from the base of both her heels, launching her into the air and propelling herself towards the opposing team that was struggling so valiantly against the horned faunus. Her smaller frame rapidly closed on the team, descending on them from above. "Watch your heads!" It was the only warning she could give to those who were with it enough to listen. It all happened so fast, but she had a moment to prepare and brace herself for a collision as she brought the base of her left heel down on the back of Felix's skull. The tip of her toes would just narrowly graze Jazz's own head, while the thruster in her heel connected firmly against the back of his skull. Crouching and twisting her heel on contact, a shot would rupture from the thruster, releasing a powerful blunt impact against the back of his skull. Such a blast would propel her up once again, but not without grazing her calf against the sharpened spikes on his head. A thin trail of blood would follow from two thin cuts that sliced up her left calf, though the pain didn't even cause her to so much as wince. Her back would arch with the upwards momentum, sending her into a backflip as a second burst fired from the back of her right heel. This blast would add new momentum to her flip, and increase the power of her kick as the tip of her foot connected with the side of his skull. Much to her dismay, the boy's skull was much harder than she anticipated, similar to slamming her toes straight into the ground. The pain of the impact would shoot up her leg, but cause her to do nothing more than hiss and bite down on her lip as she triggered a third impact from the tip of her toes instantaneously. This third impact would act as the final blow in her assault and launch her own frame back. Her figure would ragdoll through the air as it distanced itself from the team, back towards her own. The last hit wasn't one she quite anticipated and completely threw off her composure for a landing. Hopefully, Eli or one of her other teammates would be ready to catch her... Or else, Felix wouldn't be the only taking a hard impact.
Even if she hit the ground hard, it was honestly worth it. Her adrenaline was pumping, and she was able to get that wicked horned faunus back for what he did to Eli. Three impacts, for each stab wound he inflicted on Eli. Not only did it bring the faintest sense of satisfaction, it seemed to have done something. It was on the third impact that the light flickered from Felix's eyes, and the crimson aura that was radiating from his body began to fade. Even if he wasn't done yet, her series of impacts surely created an opening for them.
