Azura looked uncertain as the male leaned in close to her. She would have taken a step back if she hadn't already been against the wall. Then she blushed furiously when he said her observations could be seen as creepy. He was right of course, seeing as she had already decided he likely saw her as a creeper, though she was a little uncertain of how to respond to such a blunt statement. “I will try to be more careful in the future.” She breathed a small sigh of relief when he moved on to answer her questions. Perhaps he wasn't too offended then? “A pleasure to make your acquaintance Cecil.” Azura held out her hand to shake. “Azura Knight.” So named for her blue eyes. There was a small hesitation. It wasn't exactly tactical to tell everyone your semblance and your strengths, but then they were all allies here at Beacon right? “My semblance is illusions. You shouldn't down play your scholarly achievements on the battle field. There is a lot to be said for outsmarting your opponent. Or at least that is how I prefer to operate.” It seemed like they might actually have something in common there.

Aurtrox laughed as Xandria rejected his flask. He quickly retracted it and tossed it in the air. It gently fell back to earth and by the time it had come back Aurtrox was standing. He grasped it, tossed it behind his back and over his shoulder and grabbed it with his teeth like it was some cool party trick, though it was altogether rather unimpressive. He was just feeling energetic and needed a way to release it. The dark brown fluid was more viscous than an alcoholic beverage. It could be seen flowing from the flask rather slowly. After finishing his drink he wiped his mouth clean."Its not alcoholic. Its maple syrup! It takes a lot of energy to fly, and I am vegan. This is by far the easiest source of energy for me. Anyways you're coming with me!"He grabbed her arm rather forcefully and dragged Xandria into the ballroom. Surely many people were watching the headmaster. They would soon get used to his antics. He was always one to make a party more exciting. They soon stopped at the same table that Lunestra has just left. Aurtrox smiled at Lavender and Joji with Xandria by his side."Joji. Lavender. Here is your new friend. Please take this blondy as a gift from me to you."He said this as if she was an item to be given and then pushed her towards Lavender before we walked off rather abruptly.
Aurtrox next decided that the party was going to be coming to an end in the next few hours so he would take an early leave. It was never classy to be the last one at a party. As fortunate would have it he saw his sister doing the same. The crowded spaces were a tad unfortunate for large wing spans. He took an alternate side door and let his wings expand. He looked to his right where he expected to see Lunestra. There was a tree in the way, but he spoke still."Last one to the tower loses!"Each wing was quite large and beautifully white. He bent down and kicked off with both legs launching him into the air. He would head to the top of the tower at an incredible speed. His sister was quite fast though and so he wasn't sure if he would beat her. Being small had its advantages. Regardless he pushed himself to go faster with every flap.

Rather than responding to the handsome newcomer's question, Lunestra stood and announced she had business to attend to outside the gym. Oh... that was too bad. If she had to go, she had to go, though. Admittedly, if may have been a bit shallow of Lavender, but while Lunestra wasn't much for conversation, she was nice to look at. The curvy sheep Faunus was a bit sad to see her go, but maybe they'd see each other again during classes.
"Oh... Okay. Maybe we'll see each other during class!" She said, watching Lunestra leave.
Now giving the handsome stranger her full attention, the shortstack sheep Faunus craned her neck up to make eye contact with the significantly taller Human, giving him a small smile and clasping her hands demurely at her waist. She noticed him studying her, making her feel a bit self-conscious. She lowered her head and hunched her shoulders a little as a blush came to her cheeks. Was he... staring at her horns? They were significantly bigger than most of the other horned Faunus girls she'd met...
Wait, team? He said he needed help with something, he meant someone for his team? She should be frantically saying she didn't know that's what he meant but, honestly? She was just overjoyed to actually have a teammate this soon!
Lavender's face lit up, gazing up at Joji with big, shiny eyes. "T-Team? I-I have a team? I-I'm on a team?" She began quite literally jumping for joy, stopping before long when she noticed the movement's effects on her chest. Oops! She really should've worn a bra with this dress, but she didn't have any that were strapless, and this dress was a bare-shouldered one. She adjusted the admittedly low-cut neckline of her peasant-style dress to make sure everything was properly tucked in and decent. No wardrobe malfunctions here! She cradled her chest, blushing up awkwardly at her new teammate.
Oh, that still made her happy to even think! She had a teammate! She was so worried about what team she might end up on... she didn't think she'd find one so soon! So, was... Was he her Partner? And wait, she didn't know his name!
Blushing, and still using one arm to cradle her chest, she brushed some of her hair behind her ear, shyly looking up at her new teammate. "Um... S-So what was your name? A-And who's my Partner on this... T-Team."
Team... *squees internally*
Speaking of teams, just then the headmaster approached their table, a blonde Human girl in tow. Lavender jumped a bit, curtsying to the school's headmaster and Aura teacher, this time doing so in a much less awkward manner than she did Lunestra.
"H-Headmaster! What an honor to meet you! Wait, how do you know my name?" She stammered.
Uh, what? New friend? Gift? Blondy?
And just like that, like a living whirlwind, the swan Faunus headmaster had come and gone, leaving Lavender deeply confused and in the presence of a blonde Human girl who was... apparently her new friend?
She turned to Xandria, awkwardly fidgeting with her hands. "Um... Hi there. I'm Lavender. Nice to meet you, I guess? I-Is your name Blondy, or...?"
...What? It was possible.

𝓝o one stopped here, and she was thankful for this. Lunestra enjoyed the freedom she had when it came to leaving when she needed to. Lunestra was tough; she could withstand many things, and although a crowded room was a common occurrence, she grew tired of being enclosed for too long. The lacquer flooring of the Gym, the dark walls, the. . . Everything of that room was starting to make her sick, anyway. The music continued to drone and everything about it was enervating; the heiress needed peace, quiet, and fresh air. She needed a moment to center herself.
𝓢he didn't take flight immediately. The moon had risen and cast its ghastly glow over the entirety of the academy, and Vale itself. The night air was cool, yet not freezing; the night-sounds were pleasant and blissful and there was luckily no dark undertones to them. All nocturnal beings, very few of them in fact, scurried about, while the diurnal beings wished to sleep. Lunestra was one such diurnal being, and much like swans, she wished for sleep as well. And, much like swans, Lunestra wouldn't mind taking a nap in the nearby scintillating pond, which the light of the moon reflected off of.
𝓢teps behind her only slightly alarmed her for she had let her guard down somewhat, and it was simply her brother; his vestments billowed in the cool breeze and his attire matched the moon's graceful light. Quirking a silver brow, she noted as her brother's gaze shifted, and she knew what would happen.

𝓛unestra watched as her brother spread his wings and darted off into the sky. Exhaling, Lunestra wasn't up for it, but she was heading towards the Tower anyway. A glyph hummed beneath her and she spread her wings, using the glyph as additional momentum to skyrocket into the sky. Flap after flap, beat after beat, her speed increased exponentially. Her brother had much more experience using his wings, but she was indeed smaller -- this did not always translate to faster, however. She was gaining on him quickly, though, but she had no intentions of racing him nor winning. In fact, despite her alacrity and adroit flight, it almost seemed like she was following him to their common destination instead of racing him.
Ivory's tail was still going back and forth in irritation. His name was his name. He couldn't help it! His tail kept going back and forth. She tried apologizing to him about it though. He then heard her say that his goal was noble. He didn't think so, he wanted to make sure that they wouldn't have to go through what he went through growing up there.
"I need to fight enough to make them flee, or so the tribe is safe. No kittens deserve to get hurt." He didn't know if she would know what he meant by that. He wasn't very good at explaining things at all.

Aurtrox could hear Lunestra art off into the skies after him, but only to slow down to a more comfortable pace behind him. This was fine too. He enjoyed a good race, but when one's stomach was full it caused the bowels to speak in their defense. He quickly pulled up. His body flew high into the sky in an elegant arc only to quickly descend right next to Lunestra. They glided through the moonlit skies with their wings so close that they could almost touch. "I don't think I personally welcomed you to the Academy my dear Lunestra." His eyes reflected the moonlight magnificently. Their eyes were designed for this sort of light. Not the pitch blackness of a new moon, nor the full fury of the day. The moonlight was where their sight was optimal. "Welcome to the future! I'm happy you have joined us!"He would stay behind long enough to hear her response if any and then zip off to land on the topmost portion of The Tower

Cecil could see that her blush was going out of control, causing him to slightly chuckle before she said she'd be more careful in the future. "Very well then. Just ensure it is done on our enemies at least." He commented before she soon said it was a pleasure to make his acquaintance, causing him to relax a bit as she introduced herself. "To be honest, your name reminds me of the Azure Knight from a game series, I can't remember it fully though." He told her calmly as she soon said her Semblance, causing him to think as her power of illusions could be beneficial to any team. "That is a good semblance, what type of illusions do you use?"

𝓐ll Lunestra could hear for a few minutes was the beat of her wings, which helped her glide through the torrent of air that whipped her hair and clothes about. She enjoyed flight so much, although she was moreso excited for sleep at this point. It wasn't long before she managed to catch up to her brother, but she knew that he reduced his speed intentionally for the sake of formality. Even if he was just her brother, he was also her headmaster as well -- she had to listen to him more now than ever.

𝓘t was a short exchange, but he offered his welcome to Lunestra to the academy. Another quirk of a silver brow, and she rolled her eyes. "Why, thank you, Oh gracious headmaster of Beacon Academy. May your impressive wingspan guide me further into the future you wish to build." Was her response, dripping with sarcasm, yet sisterly charm. This was followed by a knowing, laughing pointed stare and a half-smile. She continued to follow her brother after that, to the topmost part of the Tower.

He noticed her slight...problem, if it even was one, and quickly turned his head nervously. He didn't want to stare and awkwardly laughed in the other direction before noticing the headmaster was heading their way. He turned towards the white haired male as he got closer with a shorter blonde woman. "Headmaster, hello sir." He turned his head towards the girl who had also arrived with the headmaster and gave her a quick smile before bowing his head the both of them. "My name is Joji, pleasure to meet you." He said to the new girl

This party wasn't too bad but he couldn't be here. The feeling of too many people was and has always been an uneasy feeling. He grabbed two sandwiches and a couple bottles of water. "Got to get out of here." he took the food that he grabbed the food that Academy provided orientation. Readying to leave, Oswald saw the headmaster leave with another student. In fact, he wanted to have a word with him after his grand speech for the students.

The redhead shot her attention to the musician who played to headmaster making his grand appearance. This was the part when he would welcome them all to school, congratulating them on getting this far and wishing them to do well in the coming years. But that...that was not quite the speech he gave. Rather, it was very foreboding and while he was only speaking honestly, made Scarlet feel nervous again. Yes, she agreed with everything he said; this was not a game and should be taken seriously. Which is why she was beginning to have doubts whether or not she was prepared for this. Without her sword, she faced a higher risk and that risk was very much fatal. If she died without giving it her all, wasn't that a waste? As the assembly concluded with the headmaster informing them of a dance and offering refreshments, Scarlet could not shake this feeling of unease. "Y'know what? I think I'm gonna get some air! You guys enjoy the food and stuff without me" she told the few people surrounding her. She then hopped to her feet, making her way to the door slowly and then into a full blown sprint. The girl was headed for the courtyard, she had to get out of here!

Once again her actions seemed to surprise the Faunus-boy. His crimson eyes widened slightly as they continued to more into her own. She wasn't sure what exactly it was about her rhat kept catching him off guard. It all just seemed very natural to her as she was not going out of her way to do or not to do anything she woukdn't normally. His gaze lingered on her a moment before they dropped to inspect his book. Ridley watched as he turned it over in his hands, looking over the cover, the binding, the pages. Once he seemed to decide that it was all in good shape, he returned his eyes, giving her a simple nod. Quiet and as hard to read as ever. On the bright side he didn't seem to outright dislike her. It would be just her luck to make an enemy with the very first person she met. Luckily, that,didn't seem to be the case here. The fact that she had a respect for his book that most people might not seemed to at least settle him a bit. He hadn't just walked away... that was a good sign, right?
A part of her wondered if he actually would speak to her, or find a way to scuttle away. Her question was answered just a few moments after she introduced herself. A satisfactory smile grew on her lips at the sound of her voice, both happy and maybe a bit proud that,she had gotten him to talk to her. His voice was perhaps just slightly high pitched for a man's but it suited his short stature and willowy flame. Ridley didn't seem put off by it or even surprised. If anything, she just seemed glad that,he had actually spoken, even if his words were short and to the point. It was still something. "It's nice to meet you... though I am sorry it had to be like this." She said, another laugh leaving her lips. It had been him that had ran into her, but to be fair, she had been stopped nearly in the middle of the doorway. Plus, she hadn't exactly been paying a whole lot of attention. Bot to her near surroundings anyway. She supposed she had to take some of the blame.
"A first year? Me too." She informed him, considering she hadn't thought to tell him when she had mentioned her name. She figured must of the students left must be first years. It was getting rather late. The older students had likely already wandered off to their dorms, which made her wonder where they were going to sleep seeing How they didn't have dorms yet. Here she supposed. One giant slumber party, now wasn't that fun? Pulling herself from her thoughts, she returned her golden gaze to his as he went on to answer her following question. She couldn't help the smirk that tugged at her lips at his response. Once again she found herself cursing her uncle. Even from what she could gain from the stoic man in front of her, it seemed like she had missed quite the speech. "Very reassuring."She commented with an air of sarcasm in her voice before letting out a small laugh. "Sounds about right though."
A moment later and the first flicker of real emotion since she had met him broke through his stoic expression. He visibly winced as he looked around the crowded room. "It is a bit loud." She agreed, though she had a feeling she didn't mind it half as much as he did and made a mental note to try and hold back any unneeded loudness when around the poor guy. "On the bright side things look like they are staring to die down." She assured him, sparing a golden-eyed glace around the room. Some of the teachers had wandered okkff as well as their headmaster. There were still students mingling while others had made their ways to their corners and claimed them as their own. There butlers and servants had also swept in, cleaning up the food and refreshments. After a moment she returned her eyes to his, reaching up to brush a stray strand of hair behind her ear. "Sooo... are you excited for classes?" When questioned, hoping he didn't mind that,she pressed their conversation on. He didn't exactly seem like much of a talker.

Xandria then watched as he threw his flask in the air and stood up telling her that it wasn't alcohal but maple syrup but she didn't want any of that either, so she instead looked away from him. Placing her left elbow on the table and placing her chin on her hand she sighed and looked quite bored at this get together; then suddenly she felt her armed grabbed and pulled forcefully she got quite alarmed as she was basically being dragged with him towards somewhere ."W.w.w wait! w..where are you taking me headmaster?!"As she was pulled across the ball room and to a table with two people on there she was brought to his side as she blushed and covered most of her face with her scarf, one hand keeping her scarf up and the other in front of her lap. Looking away she wouldn't meet any of the two's eyes. As she stood there quietly and a bit awkwardly in front of what Joji and Lavender she first heard Lavender's question about her name being blondy or not.
Xandria shook her head as she responded to the shorter girl with. "No, my name is Xandria." Xandria answered as she still had her scarf covering most of her face except for her eyes as she looked at Lavender first, who she was actually surprised that Lavender was shorter than Xandria was. Xandria gave both of them a small bow as she took a deep breath to calm her nerves from being forced into a group and talk to them, something she doesn't do herself. But from here she didn't say anything else but stood there silently as she looked at the both of them for a moment but looked away as she didn't know what else to say, she wasn't good with small talk after all. Plus her scarf was hiding the blush she had on her face, she was very thankful for bringing it with her to the academy, then again she doesn't leave home without it ever.

She smiled when he finally spoke, but... he actually couldn't fathom why. Words were words. Did he say something to make her happy? Donnelly was observent and smart, but he had book smarts, not emotional intelligence. It was his sister, Lavender, who had the empathy. He could tell that she was happy he spoke, but he couldn't fathom why.
Of course, with how observant he was, he also noticed the redhead duck out, saying she wanted to get some air. She honestly looked pretty panicked, but again, the deer Faunus couldn't really grasp why. Was it something the headmaster said? Or was she like him and didn't handle crowds and noisy places well? To be honest, he kinda wanted to do what she did. This noisy crowd was starting to get to him. What he wouldn't give to head outside, find a nice bench to sit on, and enjoy some peace and quiet...
Back to his usual taciturnity, the young man just nodded in acknowledgment to her being a first year as well as nodded in agreement to the headmaster's words. "Not fond of sugar-coating... Would prefer knowing the truth of what I was getting into..." He added.
She was right. Now that the after party was officially over, many students were filing out or beginning to set up their sleeping bags or bedrolls. He'd actually brought his own sleeping bag, but he wasn't sure if the staff would let him sleep in the buff in a gymnasium with so many people around. The problem with that was he couldn't actually fall asleep with clothes on, but he could always just read his book overnight. Faunus, so... he could read in the dark.
"Yeah... Not as loud now..." He agreed. "Still, was considering heading out to the courtyard for a break from the crowds... Join me?"
It wasn't something he would usually ask, but... She seemed nice so far, and friends besides his sister would be useful to have. Plus, she missed the opening ceremony and most of the after party. If not peace and quiet, maybe they could find an adventure or two outside?

Huh, so Joji was his name? She couldn't help wondering if they had any other teammates, or was she the first one he asked? Ohhhh, she couldn't believe she already had a team! It just made her feel downright giddy with excitement! And her team member was hot!
And it looked like Xandria was the blonde's name. Lavender shuffled her feet awkwardly, nervously tapping her fingers together. "Oh! I'm sorry... Well, um, it's nice to meet you, Xandria," she said.
Wow, this girl seemed so socially awkward... Hiding in her scarf like that, she reminded the curvy sheep Faunus of a frightened turtle withdrawing its head into its shell. Eesh, and Lavender thought she had social anxiety! Seemed she'd have to do what she could to bring the blonde out of her shell. She did it a lot with her twin brother, often trying to get him to interact or bringing him into social situations he would normally shy away from. If she could pull it off with a taciturn deer like her brother, she could pull it off with Xandria!
"Um... S-So, we're both first years, and I came here with my twin brother, though I kinda lost him in the crowds during the opening ceremony. Uh..." C'mon, Lavender! Say something to break the ice! "I'm a... a sheep Faunus, and I like cooking, cleaning, and knitting... Uh, I also kinda have a bit of a thing for reading because I b-borrow a lot of books from my brother. Oh, and I may be a sheep, but he's a deer!" Ugh! You're talking about your brother! Talk about yourself, girl! "Oh! And Joji here and I are a team! H-He just walked up and asked me! I'm so happy to have a team so soon!"
Lavender rushed over and latched onto the tall Human's arm in a clingy, soft hug, unintentionally wedging his arm betwixt her bosom. Wow, she was softer and warmer than most people. Something to do with being a sheep, perhaps? While she was locking Joji's arm in a gentle glomp, she rubbed her cheek on the part of his arm where her face could reach, nuzzling him affectionately. My, but this sheep was a cuddle bug! And wow, Joji was built! She could feel his muscles against her cheek, arms, and cleavage! Hot damn!
