Why are they joining? Ruya remained in her homelands well after disbanding. After realizing it would not be coming back, she began to wander the lands, stumbling on the Mwezi'Johari by sheer luck. She met another lion, Njiru, who ended up teaching her about the pride, and she decided she did not want to keep wandering anymore.

Why are they joining? A lot of her family (including her brothers) have joined the Mwezi, and though she's late to the party, she wants to follow them. As a note, my rabbit girl, Oji, will be joining with her as her familiar.

Why are they joining? TLDR - Cruithne going through theological crisis, outsider helps him see that everything he once knew isn't necessarily wrong because it doesn't align with what those beyond his four walls experience.
She's joining for Cruithne, I'm currently in the process of RPing most of it out. In the grand scheme of things she's going to help him get over the slight crisis he's having in regards to the Mwezi. Given she's in a unique position as someone with divine parent, it'll be her philosophical musings that help him to come to terms with his questions regarding deities and that perhaps, the Great Lion really does exist. It'll be through her encouragement and frequent debates that he'll come to realise that what he was taught as a cub might very well have a grain of truth to it and that while it's difficult to comprehend now, the slavery within this pride and on Mwezi land might be the reality because the divine being who blessed the region is simply of that disposition. Just because he can't see the Great Lion, doesn't necessarily mean he isn't there.
It'll be through those discussions that she'll actually fall for him, and as his 'rock' he'll feel very much the same. It'll be against the wishes of her family that she does join as they do know that slavery is a thing and there's no escape from it, but she's prepared to ignore their concerns on this occasion (despite her father's fury and blustering).
This is Cruithne's happy ending in a sense; or as happy as he can manage while he's still going through his theological crisis and comes to terms with some fairly in depth musings! xD

Sorry I didn't reply to this sooner!! I get distracted easily but I usually make it back around faster than this!
Conveniently, he is starting as a slave so no dramatic sacrifice xD idk if it helps the plot but have fun with it!

Why are they joining? With the Bahari'mtoto's king blaming rogue breedings on all the misfortunes on the pride, and being a product of a rogue breeding himself, he wants to join his cubs who he knows lives here.
