Camilla and Mimi were preparing for another attack when Yveltal directly attacked the rubble they'd been hiding behind! "Eeep!" she squeaks as she and her Dedenne go flying! With the great Pokemon circling back, Camilla quickly scrambles to her feet and dashes off in the direction she saw other trainers in!
It quickly became apparent that, was a bad idea... Grouping together allowed Yveltal to herd them into a fiery corral of pain! "A-ack!" she hisses as flames lick at her clothes and naw at her skin! "Dedenne!" the small mouse squeaks from it's perch on Camilla's shoulder as flames singe fur and caused the poor rodent to have to put out a flame on it's tail! It wasn't a Charmander, fire didn't belong there! Both were getting heavy smoke inhalation which caused their lungs to burn angrily! What could they do to stop this?! Attacks weren't working and it seemed everybody besides the few hero's that remained were gone! It was just them against a angry legendary!
What had kept her here? Has it the thought of trying to save the city? Of going tow to tow with a legendary? Or was she secretly hoping she could catch the great beast? Camilla didn't honestly know and didn't honestly have the thought processes to muse on it right that moment! Pain like no other filled her and for some reason a violent memory of bring caught in a forest fire flashed into her mind! It was when she was little; she'd been out exploring when a thunderstorm came in. Naturally, she found a good safe place to hide and was soon joined by random forest Pokemon. However, she hadn't expected lighting to strike a dry tree nearby, or that she was going to get caught in a terrible forest fire! it was only the efforts of a friendly mother Talonflame that saved her! Years later, Camilla would return to the nest the fire bird had sheltered her in to catch one of the mother Talonflame's Fletchling chicks; with her permission of course.
The memory, though filled with pain and fear, also inspired her and gave her hope! Pokemon could do terrible things, but they could also do wonderful things! Finally, Mimi caught sight of others throwing Pokeballs into the smoke. Coughing, the Dedenne taps Camilla's cheek before pointing at those throwing the balls. "*cough, cough* Good idea Mimi!" Camilla chokes out through fits of coughing before reaching into her bag and grabbing one of her last three Ultraballs... She knew she should have stocked up before she came...
Tossing the ball in the air and catching it as Mimi jumped down to sit on her bag, Camilla winds up and tosses the ball with all her might! The black and yellow ball soon disappears into the smoke leaving no sign of whether she caught Yveltal or not!

Elio just wants to live and try to steal pokemon and s**t
Now as a guy who particularly liked living, Elio figured that he'd made a tactical mistake attempting to stay near the goddamn Legendary pokemon of destruction.
Buty, even as everything caught fire, even as his poor poochyena rested in it's pokeball, already beaten to hell and back, Elio figure out of all things, he could be grateful about being a Team Flare Grunt.
If he was going to go down in flame, he was at least going to look damn fabulous while doing it.
In a final big ******** you to the legendary, he threw a pokeball at it.
Because ******** you, having dealt with team magma's s**t and now this was so not worth the pay and if he caught it he could finally get that promotion he'd been trying for.
He never signed up to deal with Goudron's bullshit, and he hadn't signed on to deal with this either.

Lawr - Scientist
He'd found Melvin, that was handy, he had a human shield. He was thinking about escaping but for some inexplicable reason he stayed, even as he found himself burned and Banette close to fainting. It seemed like a fit of bad decision, and though he was used to making questionable choices, it was never to this extent.
He held his left hand tightly to his chest, the most seared part of him. When he had a space he finally decided to try. Why not? Spin the wheel, see what he got out of the deal.

Zar - Who Knows
Zar was very very upset about everything that had happened and did his best to stay close to Barth, to try and protect him and in some way be protected himself. He'd never admit either obviously. The only reason he stayed was because he could think of no other way out, because capturing this thing would be the only way that he could get it to stop hurting everything.
That was his only goal as he dragged himself through the destruction. The memory from his past that was keeping him going was private only to him and he said nothing about it, simply looked over at Barth before he took a deep breath and threw a pokeball.
All he wanted was for everything to /stop/.

Mikael - Duo Trainer
Mik wasn't put off by the burns and by the bubbling searing heat. This was dangerous, that was for certain, but the pokemon was just hurting and afraid, this was all it could do to keep everything else around it at bay, this was it backed into a corner. It hurt him more to see it than it hurt to have the heat burn his flesh.
He'd give it somewhere it could go if it wanted, it was all he could do, and set it free when he had the chance.
The smoke and flames cleared for a moment and he spotted a short blonde figure through them, setting his jaw as he recognised him. Why was HE here?
He couldn't let his father capture this pokemon, he knew what he'd do with it if he had it.
So he threw a pokeball.
"MALK, TOGETHER."

The blazing inferno around then reaching a deafening crescendo, destroying everything in its wake. All around her she could hear the cries of both humans and pokemon, the smoke making it hard for Pokerus to see where they were. Yvetal continued to unleash fire upon them, and no matter how hard they fought back it countered twice as hard.
The ground beneath her was turning to mush from the heat, the sticky heated cement sticking to the soles of her shoes. More fire was thrown her way, her pokemon desperately trying to throw their water based attacks to clear the blaze. But water held no power here, blasting them all and searing their skin. The agonized cry of her gyarados caught her attention as it fell, fearsome burns covering it's scales.
"Gyra!" She ran to its side, cursing at how much damage her companion took. Not wanting him to get hurt any more she held out it's pokeball. "Return!" once it was safe inside it's home she turned to find her other pokemon, running around in a panic as it dodged the flames from the legendary. The trainer rushed forward, making a desperate leap to grasp and hold her pokemon, turning her back towards the destructive flames and shouting as they enveloped both her and pippin. Weakly her piplup chirped it's concern, Pokerus shaking from the pain lacing her entire back. "The hell's going on..." She muttered. "Why would it attack its own...I don't understand, pokemon shouldn't act this way..." had some stupid organization tried to utilize this pokemons power for its own ends, only to unleash it's fury upon the world?
The answers didn't mean anything to her at the moment, knowing she hadn't been able to take down this legendary as she first planned. She was always good at biting off more then she could chew, fighting the most powerful pokemon and people she could find. And while at times this was her strength, it certainly hadn't helped her or her pokemon now. She was never the one to flee from any battle, including this one, regardless of the pain.
Fishing around in a small pouch, she pulled out a pokeball, glaring at the creature as she lobbed the sphere towards it.

The extra help from Sammy was much appreciated, the burns not healing entirely but the pain become much more tolerable. "T-thankyou..." Jason replied, his pokemon both barking their gratitude as well. Before anything else could be done, Yvetal swooped low, and the policeman was experiencing for the second time in a matter of moments the full agony of his flesh burning. His pokemon didn't escape the blast either, Even his growlithe suffered heavy burns. Gingerly he picked up both pokemon, holding them close and petting them fondly, ignoring his own pain, before returning them to their pokeballs. Moaning softly he stood up, looking towards the giant beast. As a member of the police academy he couldn't ignore this wanton destruction, no matter how scared he was. For a moment he was reminded of his training days, trying to apprehend a thief and their Arbok, and being so frightened accidentally letting them get away. It was the worst moment of his life, and he didn't want to repeat it. He hadn't brought many supplies with him, but he did have a spare pokeball. Perhaps if he caught Yvetal, it may stop it's rampage? With no other options, he threw it with everything he had.

Shu - Pokemon Coordinator Performer ( I mixed the two up....)] Team members: ------------------------------- After being soothed by her apparently maturer partner, Shu was much calmer. However, it didn't carry the anxiety and emergency of the cliff-hanging situation. What's more, while she was taking her role as a lure, she noticed there were someone else. Gosh. The taller girl invited her for an co-orperation, of course, she won't reject it. Thank you," Shu smiled warmly at the girl, while keeping an eye at the giant destructor, it would be too risky to walk towards them. Even though there were several baits on the battlefield, she noticed the eagle-like legendary actually would shift targets after it attacked. The petite girl also noticed another girl and an injured boy, she gently waved to them. Cupped her hands to enlarge her voice, "I think fairy type does quite effective damage, but I'm not sure about other types." Quick after Shu finished her words, there came another blast of attack. Light screen!" Promptly given an instruction to her partner, the petite girl figured out it wasn't a good time for a talk. The battle was dragging and exhaunting, it seemed it's just a matter of time they would be all gone. "Find covers!" It didn't work, they couldn't make it before support arrived. They had to deal with it by their own. As a performer, she knew they ought to, either capture it or scare it away. The second option sounded to be impossible with a ferocious creature, leaving them the first option left. chirigami Heeeeey Chiriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

Shu - Pokemon Coordinator Performer ( I mixed the two up....)] Team members: ------------------------------- As she expected, they couldn't outpower the beast with their scattered efforts. Just like the Sun, the existence of the pokemon brought so much heats to the ground, it also planted countless seeds of flame. As if they were alive, they joined each other and encircled them, growing bigger and flickering their tongues hungrily at people. The land they stepped on sizzled like a hot pan and the white stream came out of it stung. Eventually the smoke blurred the clear vision and made movement difficult. Shu flinched at the reddened hand, but the melted cement stuck her boot, the imapct drew her to fall over and her skin greatly came into contact with the scorching heat. She groaned in pain and contracted her muscles out of instinct. Yvetal kept shooting fires and flames onto the ground, that accelerated the surrounding temperature in an unbelievable speed. Shu braced herself up by suppressing the searing pains she experienced. Seemed to be impatient, the legendary creature flew low and then everything began to ignite and burn, including herself. Though the scorching, her ears could hear the hurtful moans of humans and pokemons. Her nose could sniff the smell of charcoal and her skin felt like bubbling, as if soaked in hot magma. Blasts of winds created by the fanning giant wings of Yvetal added to the suffering, why they had to face that? The shrieks and call for help gave her the answer - to protect lives and survive, to pursue the dream that she hadn't achieve yet, to explore this wonderful world and encounter amazing creation like that in front of her eyes. She won't yield. The torridity had quickly evaporated the essence of life - moisture from Shu, it dried her throat and suffociated her. It felt like she had foolishly swallowed a molten rock down her throat, each breath she intook harmed her throat more, speaking was almost impossible, her parched lips separated but only mumbles came out. The harsher the predicament, the stronger the push she gave to herself. The confrontation continued, compared to the giant creature, they were exhaunted and pushing their own limitations but they kept on. Finally, a precious opportunity came, they managed to tire Yvetal and it descended to a touchable height. Then - suddenly, via the thick dark smokes, she spotted pokeballs flying towards the pokemon, successful or not. That unified idea in every trainer, ranger, performer and so on, infested her simultaneously. Her rationality knew well they could just carry the injured and fled, yet, another strong thought of capturing the legendary wrangled. Shu consciously realized she had taken a pokeball out and grabbed it tightly within her hand, but she was also overwhelmed and confused. At the moment, a sneer pierced through the smokes and heat, reached her ears. " Are you going to run away again?" Yes, she ran away like a coward in the past because she was scared. That regret had burned a hole in her heart, she was uncapable and weak that time, but she'd had done something. Still, Shu chose to escape from the problem. Even now, the air between her and the Arcanine was still awkward. She couldn't look into its trustful and pure eyes, she felt so bad. The guilt stayed in her heart like a stone, and resonated with the pains she experienced. "N-Not this time!" She drew back her arm and thew the pokeball out.

Melvin Wood: Pokemon Researcher (Ancient Runes) Starter: Mareep (If we pick smile Lapras, Cofagrigus, Aerodactyl, Omanyte Saving People: (Add +2 ultra balls to your inventory). _____________________________________________________ Natural disasters were one thing, but legendaries were also known throughout history to take down entire civilizations. It too time and research to pick apart mysteries of what happened in the past, and if casualties and change had happened by people, the planet, or pokemon. There were ancient depictions he had seen himself inside ruins and cave walls showing many pokemon known and yet discovered, possibly even extinct, which was why so many people were lured to them when they made an appearance. It was seeing something god-like, and at first it probably seemed like a awe-inspiring blessing.
But like most tablets and records of the past, they were just another stepping stone in history of another disaster.
He had seen it himself, living on the beach. His home town of Vermilion had seen the likes of a legendary itself angered by some unseen affect, and had capsized entire ships, tearing down small coastal cabins. There had been that wrath, that wreckage, littering the beaches where only driftwood and coral once laid.
Skin scorched, he tried to keep his jacket close but could feel blistered swearing and skin seeping as he staggered to his pokemon, "We need to paralyze it." He called to the mareep, and they moved closer, the soles of his shoes sticking as both the asphalt and rubber melted. There was no walking away from this now. They just had to keep the creature here.
Digging for an ultraball, he flicked it out, but it only was brushed aside.

Chansey was using it's healing, but the damage was extensive on the both of them. Lareina was in pain, tired, confused, but she couldn't help but continue. Although she still had the ATK UP, it looked like the legendary was at a point that it could be captured - an end to the suffering upon them and the city. She joined the host of trainers in tossing an ultra ball, hoping anyone could tame it at this point.

"Alright Chansey, lets try this again!" She tossed the ball, but like the first time, there wasn't so much as a single wiggle. Lareina only had the two ultraballs, though, so further attempts would have to wait. "Agh, no, lets focus on the things we can do." Looking around, everyone else was as burned and battered as she. The least she could do was help ease some of the pain. She scavenged the area for more things to find - burn heals, bandages, potions, pokeballs, anything that might help.

She wasn't very good with emotions, but she was certainly not immune to searing fire. Her Noivern, still out of its ball, was burned just as badly as she was. Through the pain and the adrenaline, Amarus reached into her pack and grabbed one of the burn medicines for her Noivern, applying it. "I am so sorry," she said, quietly, stroking its head. "I have let you down. Forgive me." Amarus returned Noivern to its pokeball, lest it get even more badly burned.
"Let us ensure that it is not in vain," she said under her breath, jaw clenched. It was Yvetal, in all its terror and glory. It was great. It was awful.
And in the flames, Amarus remembered. What she remembered wasn't fire, but darkness; she remembered the empty halls, dusty, dishes still on the table. She remembered curtains full drawn over big windows long left neglected: the house in which she had lived, alone, for as long as she could remember. When she was younger, it was as if she had been in a terrible dream: one day, when she got home, her family was gone.
At first, she waited for them to come home. She waited, and wondered. She thought surely someone would come explain what had happened, come help her. The neighbouring houses were empty already. They did, eventually, discover her-- and she had no idea how to describe who she was, or where her family may have gone. The pain of loss had enveloped her, and when they found her she was a shell of who she had been. Pokemon became her only comfort, and yet she never named them. Amarus had dreams only of taking to the sky, of being so powerful none could once again take from her that which she loved.
Standing in the fire of destruction, Amarus felt the heat as that original pain, felt a wave of anger wash over her. Gripping an ultra ball in her hand, she stared at it, her fingers white around the knuckles. How was it they had left her there so long, scared and alone, before they realized? Why had it taken them so long to find her? Why hadn't she been able to find help?
She was the only one she had had, and now her pokemon were by her side; she could control her future, if not her past. She could channel her pain for the better. Perhaps.
Amarus hurled her ultra ball at Yvetal, the full weight of all she had seen and felt behind its arc.

Like a creature possessed, Amarus threw another-- feeling around in her bag, she knew there were not many more chances. She couldn't even really see what was happening, in the fire, burnt, smoke in her eyes. She was trying to suppress a nasty cough. Amarus knelt on the ground and took a sip of water before straightening up to throw another ultra ball.
