Harley was grateful that her compliment didn't fall flat and that there was a smile in return. "I'm sure there's a skirt for all occasions!" She out a golden claw on her chin thoughtfully as she played with her bangs that were starting to once again obscure her eyes. "I bet that's really breathable. Unlike the capries I wore." She was lost in thought momentarily before snapping back to reality. "Oh! B-but I haven't introduced myself! I'm Harley." They hybrid offered a sheepish grin to the other, her round ears low with embarrassment. Smerdle She's totally trying to not look as awkward as she feels. XD

 With everyone else vacating the area to leave the bees be, there was little reason to stick around. The flight instructor was tempted to try and fly her way out of this predicament but a swarm was not to be trifled with and she was unfamiliar with the area. "Yeah~ skeedadling sounds good." She nodded to the young man as they reached the cliff. This time it seemed like she could fly her way up. When her wings opened, the dreamy, airy expression on her face sharpened. "My name is Amihan," Her voice was the same except she sounded a little more stern, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Kalec, but you should focus your attention on climbing. Should you need help, I can be of assistance."

 Claire underestimated the forest trip, but luckily... they made it. Somehow. They're too deep in now to turn back, and Claire has apologized profusely to those with twisted ankles, scrapes, and bruises. A subtle reminder here and there that the tour did state injuries could happen and people signed a waiver are dropped. Finally, after what feels like forever, the group is stopped by an outstretched arm from Claire.
"We're here!" They cried out, fingers spread as their head turned back.
"Everyone be careful, this is where hundreds and hundreds of explorers get lost! No one knows why, but once you enter past this point you're often turned back around. Everyone, I'm going to give you a lamp and a whistle, and I'll mark this tree, right here, with white paint. If you see the paint then you were sent back. Don't worry, records show the forest doesn't kick you out past this point, so you can keep trying if you want. If, on this tree, you see a red mark, that is me stating I've given up the trip and to stay at the tree." They paused, grinning ear to ear.
"If you feel you're too lost, whistle. I'll try and get you! Other then that, have fun! I heard when you get past this point a fog appears, so use the lamp and your flashlights!"
Do you feel insane for signing up for this tour yet? You probably should! Claire sets everyone up with a partner, tying each group at the hips to ensure that no single person can end up by themselves and alone. You can find the groups below (under usernames because I'm lazy.)

At this point, everyone is being sent in to the forest with their partner. You are tied together. The rope is enchanted to only break if Claire's knife cuts it, so getting lost by yourself can't happen! At this point, the goal is to get past the strange barrier. As you enter this part of the forest, the air feels thick, yet wavers. Sometimes, the air parts and you feel the heavy burden lift before slamming back down. Is the barrier weakening, or is this just an effect to confuse you? No one knows.
Every hour, you and your partner can RNG 1-50 (that means two rules per group each hour). If either of you get a 1, 10, 25, 35, 45, or 50, you have passed through the mysterious barrier. Your character will suddenly feel the heavy pressure abruptly vanish, and the forest will turn dark around you, the only source of light your lamp and flashlights. Had you been spending hours fighting that barrier? Time seemed to elude you, but, somehow, you made it. The first group to past through the barrier will be given a prize. Do not move past this point, as Claire has told you to remain where you are in the off-chance you make it through.
If you roll any other number, you were sent back to the tree with paint. You may try again in an hour, no worries!
This round ends either when everyone passes the barrier, or if we reach August 17th (around 11pm EST). No matter what, the next round will be posted on the 17th. If we end early, there will be a mini-game to pass time for people to win prizes.

 Not long after getting over the boulders- thanks the help of Samhain- Claire announced that they were nearly there. The description of what they had to do was fairly concerning. If he had gotten hurt on the easy part, what could this possibly entail? He frowned, listening as they were partnered up. He wasn't paired with anybody that he had already met. On one hand, that was disheartening- the other in the 'power squad' would have understood if he slowed them down and he would be lying if he said he didn't enjoy their company. On the other hand, it would be nice to meet another person on the trip. He wasn't too keen on being tied up with anyone no matter the case. Perhaps one of them could be in charge of the whistle and the other in charge of the lamp? It was supposed to be dark and foggy on the other side. They should probably be careful. VerityHattress xD I guess you finished your post before I finished editing. xD I'll make another post in a second.

 Nashira listened to Claire as they gave instructions and assigned partners. Nashira was a little dissapointed that she wasn't with one of her friends, so before parting ways with them, she wished them all a good luck before seeking out her partner. When they were tied together, the hybrid took a deep breath. "H-hello. I'm Nashira. I hope we can... work well together." She said, clutching her light tightly. She hoped no one would get hurt on this leg of the trip as they entered the trees.

 Niamh looked startled, and turned to peer at her new partner. She'd never MET this Nightmare before and now she was... tied to them. "Um. Hi. I'm Niamh. And you?" She waited for a reply, before adding "Well... let's try those trees, shall we?" And began to move forwards.

 Well, this was definitely spooky, but also exciting! Best part (or worst, depending on how you looked at it) was the pairings were random. A perfect time to make new friends!
Naosu held her hand out to her new partner. "Hello! Naosu is Naosu! Let's do our best, okay?" She smiled and started forward, hoping they could get lucky, and if not....well, it was supposed to be a challenge, wasn't it?

 Samhain sighed as they finally got to the forest and had a rather bad feeling about it. Well he would get through the barrier eventually. He did have to crush his disappointment at they seemed to have broken the groups that had formed during the trip up a bit, but then it was probably some excuse to meet all your fellow trip goers. He turned towards the person he seemed to have been paired up with. He was pretty sure she was the flight instructor for the academy, although he had never had her before.

 Having expected another solo excursion, Rei's surprise couldn't be hidden when she was paired up. Blinking slowly, her glowing eyes searched her partner. Upbeat, friendly, welcoming? Something altogether new. Determined to have a good time, no matter what, Rei smiled ever so gently, closing her eyes. "Rei." Was her only reply as she gently took Naosu's hand in her own. "We shall do our best. I...am sorry if I slow you down." She referred to her still-hurt ankle. And maybe I can find some answers.

Neptune was quite glad that Zahneel was fine, and was relieved that they'd neared the next part of the hike until Claire broke out the rope and started explaining the process. Oh no. Ohhhh no. And to make things worse, he was partnered up with someone he'd never spoken to before! Oooh why couldn't they have chosen partners...???
He tried not to seem too frightened as Claire did the ties for him and his partner, but admittedly his tail was curled between his legs. This was honestly... a lot more terrifying than he'd thought it was going to be. At least... his partner didn't seem like a Not Great person...? "U-uhh.... I'm N-Neptune, uh... n-n-nice to... m-meet you..." He might as well introduce himself...
Once the actual hike started he felt a most terrible sense of... what was it... pressure? Something Not Right, anyway... Before he knew it, they were back at the tree again. Oh. It... it really did happen... Oh, he wished Maria were here....

 "Yes. They are quite comfortable." Thian was well aware that there was plenty of awkwardness in play here, but compliments went far with the demon and he was more than willing to overlook it if they kept coming. "I'm Thian and—"
He abruptly stopped addressing Harley once Claire began their announcement, and as he was led away and tied to an imposing looking geist, Thian's slowly improving mood dipped again. Once they were given their instructions, the junior started forward almost immediately, the rope connecting him to Kalec going taut for a moment before he was teleported back to the older Nightmare's side.
"Well, this... sucks," he muttered, crossing his arms.

 Bebe listened attentively as Claire explained the situation, glancing around at her friends as she heard all the dangers and precautions. In hindsight, she may have taken all the warnings about this trip a little too lightly. Impenetrable fog and magic barriers wasn't really what she had been expecting. "Hundreds and hundreds of lost explorers?" she repeated, biting her lip anxiously. Taking her lamp and whistle, Bebe nodded as she was partnered up with a nightmare she hadn't met yet. As they got tied together, Bebe looked at her with a genuine (if slightly worried) smile. "Hi, I'm Bebe! I know we're gonna get through this, no problem, easy as pie," she said hurriedly as the two approached the barrier.
