 Alfred (Alvin) MathisAlvin smiled a bit as Kai left, and then he got into the tub. Soaking in warm water was relaxing. He made sure to wash up first before filling the tub and relaxing in it, though. Alvin couldn't soak in water that was all mucked up with his own wet dirt. Just seemed sickening. After relaxing, he dried of and dressed. Since he only had a couple of outfits, he set his bag on the floor. But, he took out a stegosaurus plush and set it on his bed, hidden under the pillows. Did he have to be embarrassed? No. But, he was worried Kai would tease him. Or, worse. Vlad or Sal. He rested for a bit before getting up and going to find Kai. He found his room easily, and knocked on the door. "Kai?"

 Kai heard the knock on the door and without getting up he spoke. "Come on in, the door is open." Having gotten comfortable Kai was staring up at the ceiling watching two fish chase each other in a game of 'tag'. He laughed as one of the fish appeared to make a face at the other before swimming off. He had known most of the fish that swam above his room since he was a child. Each had a different personality, and being a merman's child, he could understand the fish, and some of their behaviors. "Did you enjoy your shower?"

Alfred (Alvin) MathisAlvin walked into Kai's room and jumped, surprised into silence at it. He lived under an aquarium!? That was amazing! "Wow....Kai, you're room's awesome. Did Vladimir have it built for you?" He went over and stood awkwardly by the bed, not wanting to sit uninvited. "Huh...? Oh! Yeah. It was great. I relaxed in warm water for awhile, and I feel a lot better."

xp the gothic beauty 2 The teen moved over on the bed and motioned for Alvin to join him. "Yea, I've had this room since I was a baby, the fish that come here are regulars." He pointed out a few of them and said the names he had given them. "I guess you could say these were my first friends. Anyways, you don't have to stand you can sit or lay on the bed too. Sometimes you can see some of the merfolk swim this direction."

Alfred (Alvin) MathisHuh. So, he could understand fish? That made sense. Or, wait....Oh, never mind. He hesitated before sitting down, taking a moment to relax before laying down. "...They're not afraid to come near the shore? I guess they wouldn't be....Not on Vladimir's property. It's safe here, right? Since he has you and Sal? I imagine he would have sealed off some of the beach and water from fishing boats and such for you two."

Kai nodded his head at Alvin. "Yes, there is a rule that no one can fish near our home, and anything unusual is to be released back into the water. This protects the merfolk when then come to our home as well." Kai watched a bright fish swim across the surface of the tank for a moment before he looked at Alvin. "Alvin... What do you plan to do now? You can see the world if you wanted." ((Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. Lots going on.))

Alfred (Alvin) MathisSo, Vladimir really wasn't some sort of monster. Not that Alvin had ever truly believed that. When asked what his plans were, Alvin frowned before he sat up. "I don't....I'm not sure. I've never left Arabor before my trip to Erendale. I mean, I dreamed of it, but....Maybe I'll just stay reclused in my room. It's not like I'm not used to it. Guess it's almost comforting."

Kai looked down for a moment then letting out a small sigh. He had asked the wrong question there. "You know, being alone all the time isn't much fun. Even if your used to it. I mean, my father was alone for a very long time and it made it harder for him to come back to people. Im happy he met my mother." Kai paused for a moment to think a bit on what he was saying. "I guess what Im trying to say is that you don't have to be alone if you meet the right person." Kai hoped that Alvin wouldn't want to stay alone but he couldn't do anything. Sure he could talk to the other, but it would be up to Alvin to decide in the end.

Alfred (Alvin) MathisAlvin looked at Kai and sat up. "I know that....I guess I'm just...going to have to adjust. Sorry." The right person? Alvin blushed and fiddled with his fingers. Like....Did he mean love? All in wasn't ready for that. Was he? "I, uh...I guess? I don't really know who my right person is, though. I've never really put much thought into it."

Kai looked at Alvin and noticed the other blushing. "Oh, um... I just meant maybe you will meet someone you like to talk to and spend time with. For my parents, it was more then friendship. I hope that you will find that person that makes you want to do more then spend the time alone." Looking away Kai sat up on the bed. "Would you like to go swimming? We have some pools around here, or we could swim in the ocean and possibly meet some merfolk."

"I'll be there with you, they shouldn't worry about coming over then. If you are worried about it I can always talk with any we see first." Kai smiled and pointed to the glass above them. "Look dolphins! We can swim with them too if you would like. Oh, do you have anything to swim in?"

Alfred (Alvin) MathisDolphins? That sounded great! "Uh....No, I don't. I only packed a few outfits. Maybe we should wait...?" He didn't want to wear just his boxers, though they were decent replacements. "I should look into some clothes sometime."

Kai blushed before he smiled. "Well, Im sure that we can find something for you to wear. I know my parents do have extra clothing around for if someone visits." He didn't mention that it rarely happened, but sometimes a vampire would stay at the castle. It would only ever happen when a vampire traveled to Erendale and wasn't able to find a place to sleep during the day. During those times Kai was in his room, he wasn't a fan of some of the vampires, and his father would advice him to stay out of sight.

I wouldn't mind seeing more merfolk....I imagine they're all different? I mean, different builds and tail colors? What color is yours and Sal's tails, by the way?"
