Username: Delicate Rose Bud Nightmare: Rose Prompt Answer:  "I will be arguing against the use of magic to traverse Boreas on the premise that it manipulates the weather too much. My stance might be predictable because of my race, but just because I'm a Fey doesn't mean I have to be environmentally conscious! The weather in Boreas is frigid and dangerous for a reason. If it was meant to be traversed in the winter then the weather would be more fair. I don't think Nightmares and Daydreams should manipulate the weather on a whim. Soon, what would people do when it rains? Slowly people would stop tolerating any sort of bad weather, charming things to their liking to avoid nature's course. Everyone just needs to be patient and hold out their plans until the weather is more fair. Besides, I don't see why anyone would want to be about in winter anyways, with it being so cold and dreary." Rose gave her opinion and argued her side on the matter before listening to her partner's response.

 Username: Cinnamon Panda Nightmare: Rowan Entry: Rowan was a little uneasy about this assignment, mostly for the reason their own mother was teaching the class. Besides, Rowan didn't really know what they would want to be when they grew up.. but perhaps it was time to start thinking of their options.
"Dear Future Me,
I don't really know what to say here, but Mama wanted us to do these letters in class. I'm supposed to write three things about myself now, and also what I think I'll be doing when I'm grown...
I really like plants. During this year's Solstice I got myself a little potted plant and it's become one of my favorite projects.
I also love history, and mom probably doesn't know I snuck one of her books into my dorm room.. I'll most likely have returned it by the time you read this.
I'd want to get to know a Daydream. They only just opened travel between Below and Above and we've gotten a lot of new students from Above.. but I haven't spoken to any of them yet. I'm feeling a little shy.
When I'm older, I would like to study history even more and get to know more about both us Nightmares as well as Daydreams.
Maybe this is long enough for Mama already, at least I can't think of anything more."
Fluffy tail bristled with nervousness, Rowan brought their letter to Lyra's desk and returned to their seat. Hopefully they did well.

 Username: Cinnamon Panda Nightmare: Mana Entry: Mana kicked around in their seat nervously, tapping their pen on the paper. The future was scary, and really, anything could happen, it wasn't guaranteed they'd even get to read these letters later. The time capsule could catch fire, or someone could die..
Trying to stop their negative train of thought, Mana resumed staring at the paper. Just write something.
"Hello future Mana,
this is your past self writing you a letter in Language Arts class. Um.. I hope you're no longer afraid of the dark, or the monster under the bed, like I am.. or maybe someone gets rid of the monster before you read this. Hopefully.
Also, I'm thinking of starting to study divination when I get old enough for it, maybe then I could foresee bad things and prepare for them.
I guess I need to think of two more things about myself to write here..
I really want to make friends. I just don't know how to talk to others. I don't want them to think I'm lame.
I also think the pink and blue haired Litch girl on the other side of the class is very pretty. I think her name is Lilianne or something. I've never spoken to her but she's pretty.
Maybe I can quit writing now before someone sees."
Folding their letter quickly to hide it from curious eyes, they took it back to miss Lyra as fast as they could without seeming suspicious.

I'm writing you to tell you three things about myself right now, and what I'm hoping to be in the future. So, right now I'm super excited about all the new Grimm around and the Daydreams coming back. I'm sad because two of my parents have gone off to a health retreat, Mama Allie isn't feeling very well and Papa took her to get better. And I really have gotten more into the history of Above and Below; especially Below since I have a lot more information about it right now.
When I grow up and become you, Future Self, I hope I've become an explorer. I want to go and visit all the ruins from the war, all the places that have been lost to us, and see what, if anything, remains. Maybe we can find something life changing!
There, that should do it. Frost frowned down at his second thing about himself. Was it appropriate to put that? It was something about himself right now. Frost sighed and headed up to turn in his paper.

Three things about me right now. First, I'm awesome, as you well know. Second, I met this cutie at the solstice festival. Remember him? Chimera, tiny wings, adorable? Yeah, him. Third I've set up a prank for Lyra after class...maybe.
As for what I want to do in the future...is there a professional prankster job open yet? Maybe I can run a joke shop or a candy store; hop freshlings up on sugar and pranks and set them loose on the school. Just so long as I don't grow up boring with a job like a secretary or something. Don't let me down, Future Self. This letter will come back to guilt you if you grew up boring.
Well, this had been fun. Kieran had the feeling they were going to get into trouble once Lyra read it, though. Oh well, such was the joys of being an awesome prankster like themself. Kieran turned in their assignment with as sweet a smile as they could make, and headed back to their seat.

 Username: Ember-babe Nightmare: Galexus Entry:Three facts about myself. Gale started the letter. Well, this should be simple enough, I suppose! I think I'll quite enjoy reading back on my letter to myself!
I suppose I shall start with the first fact! I'm an empath. I know that seems kind of silly, but it's true. It's really hard to lead a normal life this way ... it would be fine if I was only kinda sorta an empath. But I'm really empathetic ... it's hard to be in a classroom because I can feels everyone's stress -- the teacher's, each of the students ... it's hard to know which emotions are my own and which are those of my peers. It concerns me a little, but I'm working on being able to differentiate between the two.
Number two: I significantly prefer being called Gale over Galexus. I don't mind the name my mom picked for me. I'm sure she loved it a lot, and she wouldn't have chosen it otherwise, but it's just so weird.
And lastly, fact number three: I have three siblings on the way. I guess ... I should be excited. I'm sure I'll love them, whomever they'll become. But I'm anxious about it. What if they don't like me? What if I don't like them? What if the gang up on me? They're going to be mom and dad's children 100%, unlike myself. Unlike Joselyn, who is adopted and probably has it worse than I will ...
I'm just really unsure about all of it.
I wonder, future self, if you'll look back on this and feel embarrassed. Or, if you're still empathetic, feel like you did this day ...
I suppose time will tell.

Hello! This if you from a long time ago. Okay, so maybe not all that long ago, but I'm sure you understand what I mean. Because well, I am you! So, even if you have changed a lot, we're still the same person! That's kind of weird to think about. Right now, I don't see myself changing too much! We'll see if that's true or not when you open this letter again!
Have you become a circus star yet? You know that's our dream to be like our Mommy! That is probably the most important fact about myself right now. I want to be a star! I want people to look at me as a performer and judged me based on that rather than...that extra horn and tail.
Another fact about yourself is that you love cake! Or sweet things in general! But you know the best way to eat sweets? You have to share them with other people! Yeah, they may be delicious. But, if you're not sharing them, then you're not enjoying them to the fullest!
And one final fact about yourself? Well, you're a mutant. That means some Nightmares and Daydreams may look at you funny. They may automatically judge you as weird or even crazy. But you don't let that get you down! As Mommy has always told us "We're awesome and beautiful and no one should make us think otherwise!" Make sure to love yourself!

Hi there Conley,
It's you. From a few years back. Here to tell you all about how you used to be and how I hope I am when you're reading this letter. First of all, you're quite a bit shy right now. You try not to let other people notice it, but well it's hard to -not- be shy when you are shy. You don't really have too many friends right now, probably because the thought of talking to someone here is terrifying to you! But I hope you have some friends now and can look back on how silly it was of you to be so shy.
Second fact about yourself? You're from the pack in the North, your new Alpha is Mink. She seems like a cool Grimm and like she'll do right by the pack. However, you're not sure you want to return to the North. Maybe there is a pack here you can join? I would say....right now you're about 85% sure you want to find a new pack.
Third fact about yourself? You love sports. Anything that gets you running around outside is an awesome thing for you to do! Maybe you could be some professional sports player when you get older? Of course, professions like that don't last forever. Maybe after having a successful Soccer career, you could be an engineer? You seem like a natural when it comes to tinkering with things like that! At least, those are things you're considering for now!

Well you know what this is, unless you have lost all memories and ability to remember dull classes you had to take as a freshie. I doubt your even reading this, I know if I had written a letter to myself when I was a baby, I wouldn't bother reading it. If you are here's some stuff...
Right now, I see the world as a gloomy ball of darkness, I'm sure my eyesight hasn't improved. Unless they have mastered eye transplants... that would be really cool.
We love food, and you know that. We love all food because let's be honest who doesn't "weirdos" I know you thought it too. I bet that almost made you stop scowling, I wonder if you smile now? I don't ever smile. There is nothing to smile about.
Another thing, we really are lonely and wish we could make friends, it's hard to be so far from out home, this world below is not the same. I hope you have made freinds, I hope you aren't too lonely. Probably not, we're not very "fun."
You're going to be a doctor one day, your going to find a way to fix our eyes right? You can't forget that, always remember, the world without "color" is a dull one indeed.

 Username: Tangled Puppet Nightmare: Noah Entry:Dear Noah, For my class assignment I was told I needed to write a letter to the future me. That’s kind of weird, isn’t it? It’s a bit tough trying to think about what I want to tell myself but I’m going to give it a go. I’m still shy. In the future I hope you aren’t as shy as you are now. Opening up is hard but you always have fun once you get to know someone. I hope that you’ve kept up with your art. I hope that we’ve become a fantastic painter. I’ve recently decided to try my hand at playing the guitar. I wish I were better already. It’s hard and frustrating when I can’t get something right. I’m going to try to work past that frustration and keep practicing. I really hope you’ve kept up with it. I’ve also started writing my own music. Just lyrics for now. I’m not very good at it. I hope to one day be able to actually write a composition. I expect, once I graduate from the academy that I will join Grendel. I’m not sure what my brother will do but mostly likely it will not be Grendel. He’s never been big on the artsy type endeavours. He was supposed to write a letter to his future self... talk about himself and what he planned to accomplish. Yet, he didn't like writing about himself. Gnawing on his pencil eraser, he was feeling more and more anxious. What if the teacher read it and judged him? She mentioned it would be put in a time capsule but... What if someone that wasn't him got a hold of it? Maybe he'd have to word it carefully. Adjusting his paper, he started to write slowly, patiently making sure his letters were eligible and readable for his future self.
'Dear me,
This is a letter to me in the future. I had to do this for class. Here are three facts about me:
1. I find it hard to talk to others. I don't make a lot of friends, but I don't mind.
2. I don't really want to be at the academy. I would rather be home with my family.
3. My favorite plushie is a cat that is red with cream spots, like my mom.
I also need to say what I expect to do as an adult. So I hope I get really smart and stuff so I can find a cure for my mother's illness.
I hope I can achieve that. I hope that future me is a hard worker.

It was certainly not the best writing nor did it deserve any sort of reward, but it was brief and to the point, which is what Eli liked about it. It didn't delve too much into personal information, which is what he wanted. Hopefully that would do. Folding the letter in half, Eli hoped that the teacher would not read it whenever he handed it in and instead put it straight away into the capsule.

He could imagine anything changing, it would be Noah and Jonah in senior year they would be together, so why did he need to tell his future self anything?? Jonah sighed and began to write. Dear Jonah, This is a silly class room assignment, I highly doubt anything will be different when we grow up, it will still be you looking after Noah, as it should be and we will be a doctor or something. Fact one about us, we have Noah and we don't need another other friends. Fact two even if I join Leviathan and Noah goes to the art university, I will still petition for us to live together. Fact three I want to be a doctor to help others, and I don't feel I need connections to other to do the job.
