Hoheo Taralna, Rondero Tarel...
Both his eyebrows went up when the girl claimed that she had just been wandering. That much he doubted, though she didn't actually seem intent on insisting he should give up his demon or feel remorse for waiting for his death. Alois relaxed slightly as he watched her while she spoke.

"Hn.. interesting and a bit amusing. Usually if someone finds out another is in a foolish love they try to convince them their way is right. I suppose demons don't have that kind of moral code. I should have realized that, you're the ones who make meals out of little boys like me after all. " he said tilting his head and looking at her. He rubbed his temple once more a bit absently. He noted the other passing by them and he looked back to the masked girl.

"If Claude could breach his barrier so easily I wouldn't still be here. Whatever your little Ringmaster has around this place must be difficult, even for Claude. " He said looking outside once more with a faint sigh. He looked back at her and then shrugged, well why not. He had nothing better to do and he did have some proper manners drilled into him by Claude. Besides, the only thought he'd come up with so far was to try and summon him once more. But Alois would have to wait till dawn to do that.

"Well why not, Ladies... even demon ones, shouldn't be un-escorted in unfamiliar grounds. And.. getting into places I shouldn't be seems to be one of my specialties. " he chuckled slightly as he walked with her. He was the Queen's Spider for a reason, information and cleaning up after the Queen's Dog was his job.

"Well tit for tat then. I gave you information you should give me some. Why do you have a mask on?" he asked her as he walked with her, One hand on his hip the other rubbing his temple a bit. The chill and headache were not fading fast enough for his tastes. He could use a cup of that sweetened milk tea Claude made for him on days like this. But he didn't think that would happen, even if the cook knew how to duplicate it, it wasn't Claude's cooking.

Flint, Steele, and Dietrich Stasis

Dietrich tapped Flint on the shoulder and leaned towards him to whisper in his ear. "You alright, brosky?" Flint had been looking around the room. He felt a slight pulse, but just barely and couldn't figure out where it had came from. This made him wonder what all the fog would let in, considering it wouldn't let them out. "Your nose can tell you where in the nine circles of hell a demon originated from, yet you couldn't feel that?" Flint replied. "Yeah, so long as they're close enough for me to catch a whiff." Flint nodded and grabbed his string of skulls off his belt, then held it up, almost as if he was whispering to them. "Scream." He whispered. The second of the skulls opened its mouth and its eyes lit up, only for a small spark to appear in front of it, slamming its teeth back together. "Deet, Steely, I have no outside resources."

Steele sighed and shook his head. He already came to terms with there being no outside contact outside of whatever was available in the estate. The demon blood he drank wouldn't keep him off edge for too much longer. He needed another source to feed from. Steele motioned for Flint to go speak to Areya, then signed for Dietrich to behave himself. He needed away from all of the people around him for a moment. His brothers could watch their keeper for now.

Flint nodded, then steeped over to Areya, locking his ever glowing, golden eyes on her. "Madam Stormbringer, if I may have a moment with you away from the guests, I need to speak to you about something personal."

AJ stood there panting after his outburst, then noticed a bunch of voices in the room next door. He thought that they had heard him and heard footsteps coming towards him. He prepared to confront whoever had brought him here when he realized that the conversations in the room were about other things, like demons. That's not good, he thought. Do they know who I am? What is going on?

A small boy came out of the room, saying something about leaving because he was bored. The way he acted, and the attitude he had as he left, made the vampire dislike him instantly. There was also something about him, that he couldn't place his finger on. The boy kept walking, moving so fast that he didn't even see AJ. Somebody in a mask came out after him, again, not seeing AJ. He wasn't sure what was going on, but apparently the party in the next room was ending. He decided to follow the boy and masked person to see what he could learn.

Her gaze softened on Loranna, and the kitsune felt bad for a moment when she saw the princess tremble initially at the appearance of such a regal flower. She appeared to quickly work out that this was not a threat in any form; and there was one tear...but then her mood improved, and Sammy was relieved. There wasn't much more she could to do reassure her elven friend in her present state. Sam made a mental note to speak to her later on just as soon as she was able.

After that she'd been about to leave the room, but Samarah paused and glanced over her shoulder; then turned and sat down on the spot. She listened as Flint and Deitrich murmured about the pulse of energy, and then try to figure out its point of origin. For a second, she recalled when these brothers arrived, and how she'd been unsure what to think of them. While she still knew next to zero about those three, they're far more tolerable than certain others whom she didn't care to name. As with any crowd, certain people would be easier to contend with; particularly the ones who don't purposefully alienate others.

Still, it's too soon to judge on all accounts.

Samarah tilted her head, watching the skull glow with mild curiosity. Though this didn't seem to offer them the answers they sought after, and it was then that she decided to cross the room towards another exit. The many-tailed fox padded calmly by the brother with the skulls, rather unconcerned about whether or not momentarily closer proximity would confirm another presence in the room to them. Hey, she was bound to meet everybody at some point. And if nothing else, she was quite positive that they weren't the ill feeling she detected, same as with the others who arrived the other day. She paused and glanced around, wondering exactly how sensitive to energy many of the people in this room are. If anyone else detected that small swell of power, they weren't letting on that they did. With what passed for a shrug, she then decided it was time to go and set up another little surprise for a certain someone.

Gen was slightly confused at the blonde boy's voice. Tilting her head towards him she pondered his words for a moment. "I'm not a demon you are aware of that correct? No one here is a demon. I am a messenger but I have a soul like you. I do not take other people's. In fact if I wished I could make a contract with a demon myself but I'd rather not to be truthful. No offense to your desires, but I believe that there is no point in someone granting my wish. I am a servant, it is my job to grant others' requests not the other way around," Gen pointed out explaining her purpose as she had come to accept.

When Earl Trancy agreed to let loose a bit the girl nodded as she couldn't show her true smile. "Well perhaps this place won't be as boring as I had come to think. You see I love stories, both dark and light. I can't wait to see what I can fine here. It's already proven to be interesting," the girl said contently. Although when she was asked about her mask her mood darkened a bit. Putting her hand gently against the porcelain she remained silent for a moment.

"I wear this mask because I'm broken. I'm not the way I used to be and I wear this because of just that. Here's an offer. I only show my face to friends. If you want to see why I hide then you'll have to be nice," Gen offered lowering her hand from her mask. "Or how about this. If you can answer my riddle I'll give you a hint. I'm quite found of games. The rich need it and the poor have it and if you eat this you'll die. If you answer me what it is I might decide to tell you what exactly I am," she offered playfully before noticing another person to whom she hadn't see before.

His smell was off and mixed although Gen couldn't put her finger on it. "Hello there? Is there something you need? I don't believe we've met. I'm Gen Chester, messenger," the girl greeted kindly although there was a sense of confusion in her tone.

Nick sat there eating his fruit salad listening to Alois rant on. Once he was finished Nick was going to give him the answers he asked for even if he didn't like them. But Gen spoke to the boy before he had a chance. Instead of interrupting her though he listened to what she had to say. And to Nick's surprise Gen was far more intelligent than a young girl should be. So, it seemed even she was not what she appeared to be. And much to his delight she seemed to give Alois the exact same answer he was going to give, but maybe in a more delicate way.

Deciding the matter had been taken care of, Nick continued to eat his food in silence and listen to other conversations around him. He heard Lady Loranna ask Lady Areya a question and he perked up to listen his eyes being drawn again to Areya. Asking himself what was it about her that made him want to seek her out in a crowd of people. He couldn't shake the feeling that somehow he knew her, but he could not put his finger on why. Was it the magic of the place to make everyone feel that way. It was certainly a question worth asking, but who to ask is the first question? If he asked the lady herself and it wasn't the magic, that could make her feel uncomfortable around him. Another guest perhaps? But he didn't know any of them and would feel like that was sharing too much information.

So, he would just sit there and think on it for awhile eating the rest of his food and awaiting to hear the two ladies talk. He also watched as Alois left the room followed shortly there after by Gen. Even though he was distracted with all of his thoughts he had still heard there entire conversation and wondered about the boy. What kind of hell must one that young go through to sell your soul to a demon only to end up in another hell, he thought.

She sat there munching happily on her muffin when Loranna asked her about how she and her family came to be here on the estate. It was a question often asked by many of the more confused guests but Areya was always happy to answer it. She tilted her head slightly looking at Loranna and said, "It is uncertain how long my family has been a part of the estate since our history with it goes back further than recorded history. Perhaps since the beginning of the power here or shortly after we are not sure. There has always been a Stormbringer in charge of the this place." Areya shifted hearing a commotion in the foyer but continued her explanation. "In our history books the magic here has always been strong but it's taken many thousands of years for the estate and it's owner to gain strength together from the place. Essentially we have become one with it. There is always at least one child born to the family here and the connection to the estate grows in that child until they place is handed to them giving them control over the magic."

As Areya had finished her brief explanation Flint walked over to her asking to speak with her alone. Areya was a bit surprised but happy to talk with him. Him and his brother's were still fairly new and she did want to make sure to get to know them more. "Can you give me a few moments and then we can meet in my office?" she asked him. After all Areya still had another guest that should have been showing up at any moment. As that thought occurred to her Ann came up to Areya's other side telling her the guest had indeed arrived but refused to thumb print the contract and then went wondering off after the two young ones. She turned back to Flint, "Maybe more than a few minutes, I suppose. I will try to be there in ten unless you wish to walk with me to find our newest guest who hasn't finished signing in?" She couldn't wait for his reply though as the unauthorized guest needed to be attended to. Instead she got up and headed out into the hall and in the direction Ann had pointed her to.

Hoheo Taralna, Rondero Tarel...
Alois arched a brow slightly when she claimed she wasn't a demon, and that none of them were. He very much doubted that comment. There had to be demons here, how else would they know of demons and magic and things like that. Alois shook his head slightly. Why would any demon claim to be human? Though perhaps she was? It wasn't like his contract mark was showing up much. It usually did around other demons. Then again he hadn't really looked either. He arched a brow slightly as she told him she was broken. Hn.. so they had something in common. Though he was fairly sure he was broken since a very young age. He snorted at her riddle.

"You sound like Phantomhive. He loves games as well. But your riddle is fairly simple... Nothing, Your answer is nothing.. I've bee--" he stopped short when she turned and then he turned as well. Alois hadn't noticed the other person that had decided to follow them. The more relaxed attitude was gone and he scowled darkly at that person.

"Eves dropping are you?" he said in an irritated tone. It was good she'd noticed that. Alois had been about to tell her he'd had his fair taste of that Nothingness. He crossed his arms once more as he looked at the strange person..

Dødette wasn't headed anywhere in particular at this time, more just studying the area. She was currently in the flower garden, scanning around. "I haven't seen this many flowers in one place in awhile." She looked to the hedge maze, giving an amused scoff, deciding to put it on the to-do list, as it could provide her with some mental exercise as well as physical. Not seeing much else other than the vast array of flowers, she started on her way around the side of the mansion, then down the pathway to the water. Everything seemed calm for now, the waves of water rolling up against the pink sands she now stood on. Now that she could truly see the sand itself, "Curious indeed." was her first thought, she wondered what sort of conditions created pink sand. Maybe a sort of metallic oxide, as with red sand? She took out her holo-notepad momentarily to jot down a note to herself: 'Ask about taking vial of sand for study and souvenir before leaving'. There had been no storms thus far, but had taken a portable forcefield device, to use as an umbrella, with her in case a storm popped out of nowhere. It was odd, though, given the name of the estate, and yet not even so much as a rumble from the skies above. With no real plans for today, she found spotted a decent-sized rock to sit upon, plopping down onto it and crossing her legs Indian-style, lastly resting her elbows on her knees and head on her hands, watching the tides.

AJ smiled at the girl as she turned and introduced herself, but before he could say anything, the boy turned as well and accused him of eavesdropping. They were the two, presumably, in the kitchen, discussing demons, because that conversation had been continued as he approached.

"Eavesdropping, sir?" he asked politely, offering a little bow. "I merely grew curious about this place, and decided to follow you two, for you are the only people I've met here. And it's a good thing I did..." AJ let the sentence trail as he grew lost in thought.

Another demon? Here? he thought, before correcting himself. No, he doesn't smell that much like a demon. But he does have a mark...he's a sacrifice!

Mr. Black's eyes widened as he put everything together, and then he turned to look at the masked girl, Gen, taking her in as well. The vampire couldn't understand why they would be walking together, other than the confusion in their life. Then again, he couldn't rightfully explain how he came to be here, either. He paused, trying to choose his words carefully.

"I must apologize to the both of you, for disturbing your walk. I was not intending to do anything of the kind." He bowed to Gen, and then started to walk past Trancy, muttering in an undertone, "I'd like to see your...friend. We have something to discuss."

A.J. Black could not understand how he had gotten here, or who else was in that party in the kitchen, but there may have been a purpose to his arrival. The angel and demon inside of him were fighting more than ever, and his eyes flashed red as he thought about what he had overheard.

If I can get that boy's demon to talk, maybe I'll finally be free!

Gen watched the man speak up. He seemed rather polite but there was something about him that made the masked girl feel uncomfortable. She didn’t like him or at least she didn’t like the feel of his presence. It was a strange mixture that she couldn’t put her finger on. It was times like this that the young girl was glad she wore a mask; that way no one could tell she was studying them.

As he apologized for interrupting their conversation Gen nodded politely. She couldn’t read this person very well and it was slightly bothering her. “It’s alright though I suggest finding Lady Stormbringer. She is the master of this house and I’m sure she can answer any questions you may have,” Gen spoke suggesting to the other. Watching the man walk past Earl Trancy and whisper something she couldn’t hear, Gen tilted her head in confusion.

Waiting till he was out of hearing range, the girl looked over to the blonde. “Well he’s an odd one but I suppose everyone here is. Especially to you. Anyway, great job on the easy riddle. I was hoping you’d be smart enough to get it. No game is fun when I’m the only one playing,” Gen spoke changing the subject although the other male they had just met interested her. She wanted to know what he had said.

“I suppose I owe you a hint. Hmm? Since it would be boring if the game ended so soon I give you another riddle. ‘I am no human nor demon or witch. I have never had control no matter how much I wished. When I perform upon a stage for your grace, all of the children cheer for the man behind my face. I know it may seem odd but please play along won’t you?” Gen questioned kindly giving her riddle.

Loranna listened intently to Lady Areya's explanation, thoroughly entranced by her words. One slim finger traced back and forth over her full, bottom lip. Her eyes watched Areya's face for any flicker of lies or doubt. Finding none, even as Areya finished and began speaking to some newcomers who the fae had not noticed, Loranna settled back into her cushioned chair. She could not be certain how long this place had stood, but it was old. And not just the ginormous estate, but the magic within. It was much older, she believed. Giving a soft sigh and rearranging the ripe turften that had appeared on her lap, Lor began to eat once more. The soup was divine, she thought - warm and thick with flavor. As she took a bite of her roll, Loranna began to delve deep into her own past.

A memory floated to the surface of her mind's eye of an attack when she had been much younger, and much more careless - more trusting. It had nearly killed her, she recalled. But... there had been someone who had come to her rescue. Something powerful and not of her world. As she thought hard upon the memory, the fae bit hard upon her lip as if it would make her recollections clearer.

Areya Stormbringer. Stormbringer Estate. Storm... Such a familiar name. But--

Before she could continue with her train of thought, Loranna gave a great yawn, exhaustion suddenly taking over. How long had it been since she slept? Gently lifting the present she had been giving (she still did not know who from, which troubled her greatly), Loranna rose from her chair and peered around at the remaining guests.

"I'm very tired... Can someone show me to a bedroom?" She glanced over at the male she had shared the carriage with, Nicholas. She thought she recalled something about him staying here in the past.

He crossed his arms as Aj spoke, claiming to not have been eavesdropping on them. The sudden widening of Aj's eyes has Alois looking puzzled wondering what he'd just noticed. Alois frowned slightly at the whispered comment to him. He'd like to see Claude?

"Tch.. if i could contact him I wouldn't be here" he muttered under his breath. He sighed slightly and then turned looking over at Gen once more when Aj had moved on.

"Hn True... I'm fairly sure everyone in this place is a bit out of the normal standard. " he said to her and shook his head a bit. When she said she was going to give him a hint he listened.. and then scowled a bit.

"Another riddle? I don't find it odd, I find it annoying. You remind me quite a bit of Phantomhive. He is so fond of his little games." he said in an irritated tone. He took a breath and then sighed as he decided to answer her riddle anyway.

"Tch.. This sounds like a Puppet. " he said to her as he pushed a lock of blond hair from his face. Looking at her with his blue eyes.

" Well am I right?" he asked her. The thought crossed his mind she might be something like a puppet. Then again that's what a lot of people might call him. Dancing along to the spiders merry tune, slowly getting more ensnared in the webbing till he would be devoured.

Gen listen to the other get her riddle so quickly. She was truly enchanted by how bright the blonde was. She truly didn’t take him for one who was so clever. It made her smile brightly from behind her porcelain face. Although the smile didn’t seem to be enough as she began to laugh loudly. She was enjoying herself far too much in this manner. She thanked the man within her head for giving her the letter to come here.

“Clever, clever Trancy. Yes, I am indeed a puppet and I mean that in the most literal sense possible. You see my entire body is made from porcelain although it didn’t start that way. Then again perhaps it did. Even I don’t know that riddle’s answer. No matter that is what I currently am. I am the puppet but I’m also a master too,” Gen explained, excited that someone had figured it out. What an interesting game this would prove to be in the end.

Reaching back to undo her mask the girl removed the false face. “Although perhaps that is a confusing term as well,” the girl spoke showing her true self. It was only fair since the boy did answer her riddles correctly.

The young girl’s face was fair with a painted white color. Eyeliner framed her right eye in a long stripe. Her lips were painted a soft pink and her cheeks matched in color. Cracks covered the fair skin with the left side of the girl’s face missing entirely only showing the black within her skull and the soft green glow that illuminated through her good eye.

“Frightening sight eh? I honestly only wear this mask to keep from my customers from running away. So here’s a question for you Earl Trancy, do you plan on running too?” Gen questioned with a Cheshire grin. She didn’t expect him to stay but it would be fairly interesting to say the least if he did.

Alois was a bit puzzled at how overjoyed she seemed to be that he could answer those simple riddles. It really didn't make any sense to him at all, and her laugh was a bit annoying. He shook his head slightly listening as she explained that she was a puppet herself.

"Ooh? A puppet pulling their own strings? How.. odd" He said to her. He titled his head, his blue eyes watching as she lifted up her hands to undo the mask that she wore. Honestly she sounded as excited as a puppy being given their first bone. He watched as the mask came down, what was hiding under it, what could be so bad that she'd choose to hide behind a fake smile like that all the time.

"Ah.. " he blinked a few times, staring attempting to comprehend what he saw before him. He was both curious and a touch.. well not entirely frightened but perhaps repulsed by her face.. lack of face.. whatever. The gaping hole that showed only black depths... was unsettling. But Alois was also curious. How did she talk and eat with her skin being made of glass? His eyes roamed over the spiderweb of cracks and then over the hollow empty spot on her head, though he looked away from that after a few moments. It reminded him too much of his own personal hell he carried in his head, he felt if he stared to long in that empty place something might happen that he would not like.

"Hn.. " he said as he titled his head studying her a bit more. Seemed he could say he had more in common with this person then he'd originally thought. Both of them puppets playing along to a merry tune, both hiding away behind masks that could break easily. Alois was sure she was a demon of some kind though, definitely not human or anything like that.... still.. the surface of her skin looked like porcelain. He reached up a hand and, being gentle as to keep from cracking her anymore then she already was, touched the cracked side of her face.. No need to go killing people or breaking her completely with out some valid reason. And he very much wanted to know if it would feel warm or cool like glass usually did. When she asked if he was going to run he gave a faint snort of annoyance.

"Why would I be frightened of a glass doll?" he said to her bluntly as his fingers traced one of the cracks down her cheek to her neck. He pulled his hand back and looked at the hollow side once more. Alois wondered if it would hurt her if he touched in there? He didn't reach to test that theory right now but he might ask later, provided he stopped feeling so unsettled by that side of her face.

"It's not like this is the strangest thing I've ever seen. Creepy yes with that big hole in your face.. you'd think you'd take better care of yourself. ' he said to her as he put his hands on his hips. He tilted his head and then a smirk came to his own lips as he thought of a question, one not normally asked in polite society, but whoever said he played by the rules?

"So.. you're completely made of porcelain?" he said to her, his eyes roaming down over her body then back up. His eyes glittered with mirth as he spoke his next question.

"How do you have sex?" he asked her titling his head amused at the thought. Surly she'd shatter in the process? Then again.. that could be what happened to her face.

....Never leave my side Claude!
