Juno | 4
"Well, exactly!" Juno exclaimed. "I mean, down to my father being a Shifter and my mother being from Sauti. Funny, that. We hardly look anything alike."
When the other got to comparing their appearances, though, Juno shook his head and laughed. "Naw, I don't shift. I'd be dark now, wouldn't I? But I'm stuck like this all the time. And don't you be too hard on yourself, I think you look plenty eye-catching. And handsome, if you ask my opinion. I'm just... a little on the louder side, I suppose? It's got it's advantages, but you won't see me boasting about it... well, not too much."
He smiled warmly and reached up to drag his hair out of his eyes. "Name's Juno. And it sure is nice to meet another one of us half-breeds. Kind of makes you question all this war stuff, don't it? I figure everyone should just go wherever they please and... spend the night with whomever they feel like."
He laughed again, and winked at the suggestive little remark.Ouen | 4
Ouen had no doubts about Mirin's abilities. She was young, sure -- but she wasn't a coward, and from what he knew of her she had never been one. Besides, they still had the jungle on their side, same as they had on their earlier adventure to save the captured radaku. If ever there was a good place to have a blockade, this was it!
The Alkidikes were far more used to the jungle than the Obans had been, of course. But Ouen had learned plenty of new tricks since then, and so had many of the veterans of that war. They were better equipped now than ever.
"Folks're afraid of war, I figure. But bein' afraid is exactly the sort of thing that has people figurin' they can up and step all over you. I won't be havin' folks calling us cowards, not me."

Chandra Post 4His face was blushing slightly, red from the exertion as well the embarrassment of having given his brother a piggy back against his will. There was nothing more that he would like to do but give his brother a rather painful shock. Especially when he pointed out again how Eira turned him down. It was like a knife in his heart and he couldn't help but get charged up with electricity, which caused his hair to get rather fluffy. Of course he wasn't about to get any chance to unleash that pent up frustration on his brother as they were soon joined by Teiluj and her Oban .friend. He wanted to groan...as his brother was just way too friendly with everyone. It was like when they were born he had taken all his common sense from his brother. He didn't really want to talk with them...but he was going to be forced to wasn't he? Counting to ten backwards he slowly released his pent up anger and sent the electricity into the ground. It wasn't until his brother mentioned something that he realized he was missing a weight on his head. Awen..was gone...oh great. Looking around he tried to spot the sprite, wondering what upset her this time...it was about the only time she flew off in a huff. "Did you see where they went? " He inquired trying to see the sprites in the crowd of people.

Greedy Chromatic Red Cyn can come in and say hi~~ Sorry for being super slow with Ray Rayolun post 4
"That and if we talk to the alkidikes.. maybe we can convince them... and if not well." He shrugged. Alkidikes were a rather normal threat to the shifter lands... it wan't like they hadn't fought them before! "We'll have weapons ready and Sauti will have time to prepare if some slip through.
He kissed Lasarra and grinned; "Well.. they haven't even conquered us yet! Now they're just chasing two prey and will catch neither if you ask me. Nobody ever said fanatics were smart! I think a smart fanatic is a contradiction..."

Virain Post 1
Virain stood there, covered in dust from travel with his master at his side. He was tired, bruised, and had wanted nothing more than to get a good long soak in a hot bath. But upon arrival he felt as if he'd walked into a story-time revolt. The Alkidikes were going to invade? Jauhar was going to act as a buffer for the rest while they got into position? The water earthling made a distressed sound in the back of his throat and turned to look at Kybell. But the leaf earthling was nodding along to what conversation they could hear.
"Looks like you'll get to put those skills to practical use after all boy." Kybell said, and Virain let out a groan of dismay. Looks like he wouldn't be allowed to run away after all.

Alassiel - Post #4“It’s nice to meet you Xarnith and you as well Mano.” Again, Alassiel couldn’t help it, her cheeks warmed at the compliments. The Shifter could say that she’d never received this many compliments, it was such an odd feeling! It was also very stranger to her when Mano linked arms into her own and Xarniths. Were all Matori this friendly she wondered. If they were, it was going to make her time there quite interesting and she might end up spending a bit more time there than any other place she wanted to visit. Alassiel reminded herself to ask Mano later on.
“Well, I think we should stick around nearby to listen to the remainder of the conversation,” If they were going to blockade, Alassiel wanted to know about it. “But there are a few shops not too far we could visit?” The Shifter was incredibly lost when it came to group activities, add to the fact that she didn’t know either of the males made it more difficult to determine what it was they liked. “I mean, unless you had better ideas, I’m not sure what you are into.” They were all different races, which meant all differing opinions.

Teiluj Post 4 Swallowing back emotions Teiluj could feel the emotions in the post festival crowd. The tension was palpable, and it was enough to make the young Hybrid vibrate internally with anxiety. Giving a bright smile as Aysun had returned her call she continued to smile when Nkole spoke. Nodding she turned to look at Aysun then back to the oban. She wondered in part if he even knew how much comfort he gave just by being there with her. "W-well yes, but would..." Teiluj hesitated a little. "Would you come with me?" Giving Nkole a small tug Teiluj moved through the crowd. Bumping shoulders with a couple people along the way until she had met up with Aysun and his brother. Giving them both a smile Teiluj's smile lessened when she spotted Chandra's face. She couldn't help but get the distinct impression that he wasn't too happy with their presence. "I wont bite. I promise." She said shyly. "I'm glad you two are alright. Did something happen?" Catching the direction of their gaze Teiluj tried to peer out into the crowd. What was it she was missing?

The shouting was getting louder, it seemed as if there was only a few more people who were leaning towards a blockade whilst the rest wanted to let the alkidikes go through unchallenged. The chatter felt like it wasn't getting anywhere. No one seemed that upset at the prospect of a full scale invasion on their door step. Perhaps people were still numb from the last war.
Antiope felt desperate, some people had weapons already out as if they anticipated the alkidikes to come marching across their borders at any moment, it wasn't until a hybrid approached them or rather two of them that she felt her smile falter slightly. It felt painful to see that it was hybrids who were the only ones willing to see about peace talks. She supposed though they had more at stake than the pure bloods, shifters or people of Tale.
Enki turned his attention to the hybrids as well, one with two strange looking eyes and ..for the most part looked like an alkidike if it wasn't for the rather blatant oface that he was male. Then there was the pale one behind him with markings on his skin. He glowered at the pair earning him a elbow in the ribs from Antiope.
"You pose to put yourself in a great amount of danger if you wish to try and talk Peace with your...sisters." Antiope began trying to find the right words, what were the customs of Alkidikes? She wasn't entirely sure since hybrids broke the mold she had no idea if the pair treated the rest of the Alkidikes as family or not.
"What makes you think they will listen to anything you have to say?" Enki inquired giving the pair a look over. After all the extremists had basically ostracized the hybrids and anyone who sympathized with them.

Syqvara Post 5 The very male very bare torso she was clung to moved and she gave another squeak. No, no no! Syqvara didn't want them to turn and see her! Not when she was crimson from head to toe. However, the male offered her a hand and his name. Taking one hand off his chest she gripped his hand so that she wouldn't fall as she shifted to get her footing under control. As he turned her other hand slid along from his chest to his side and it made her blush deepen, if at all possible. "I-I'm Syqvara." And she was highly embarrassed. If she hadn't been lost in her thoughts she might have been able to avoid stumbling into him. She had enough courage to give a glance up at his face but after that she seemed to have lost her voice. Sy stared at Nyiim for a moment before she turned her head to look the other way, hiding her face behind the one sided curtain of her hair. There was a whine from her and then she peeked at him. "S-Sorry. I-I um.." The Syqvara realized her other hand was still on him. Going wide eyed she pulled it away and stuttered another apology. Never mind that her other hand was still holding on to his. Thankfully, the leafling was saved by a familiar little being. Awen! Sy's attention was nabbed as the sprite came to rest on her shoulder. Blinking she looked at her then at the crowd. When she saw no signs of the sprite's owner following she looked back at her. "A-Awen? D-did Ch-Chandra scold y-you again?" She questioned. Looking back at Nyiim she offered a very shy smile. "S-sorry. I d-didn't hurt y-you, did I?" That would be the last thing she want. Of course if she did then she could have Awen go get Chandra to heal him. If the little sprite would listen to her.

AMINAH POST 5
Aminah patted Jhana's head. Both of her children seemed to be too smart for their own good. They would get too far wrapped into ideas meant for adults, not for their little selves.
She heard Jhana look to her aunt for assurance and nodded at Sathe's response. "We'll find a way to get them to stop. They won't pick on us anymore."
She turned to look to the stage again, and caught glimpse of the leaders speaking to two Alkidike hybrids themselves. Though they were both male and one was... Rishima. It was good to see him here, thought she was surprised he wasn't on the Islands during something so important. He was a respected Sister, even if he was a hybrid. JHANA POST 5
Jhana listened to the two women talk and answer her and Jerami's questions and she had to chew over the words. It was more than her little 3-year-old brain could take, and she had to cross her arms and furrow her brows just to get through it all.
She still didn't see how it would work. How the bad people would stop and not come back. SATHE POST 5
Sathe laughed out at the little boy's confusion and fluster. Of course he wouldn't know what the firebirds were, he was much too young and had probably never been that far from home yet.
"They say the firebirds are magic." She wiggled her fingers and made a little flurry of sparkles shine from her hands. "But who knows? They could just be big birds like all the others."
She mulled over little Jhana's question. "Well something has to be done. And if we can stop them, they might not be able to pick on us again." Though it was a good question. Would this turn into generations more of feuding? Would more Alkidike become hateful if the earthlings succeed in stopping them?

TAU POST 5
Tau took the half eaten stick from his daughter and with two bites polished it off. Making furious chomping noises in the process.
They were back in the crowd, with their food this time, and Tau could see that there weren't really getting any father in their planning, their discussion, in anything. It all seemed like they were talking in circles to him. He shrugged and turned to Liira, still chewing on his first meat stick. "You'd think something would be done by now."
LIIRA POST 5
Liira nibbled on her stick, slowly finishing it off. She was done before they had even resumed their places, but she had to agree with her husband. Something should have been accomplished by now. "Are you serious about not helping?" She asked him. She was all for being alone, but it wasn't like Tau to not rush in to something headfirst.
"Maybe we should leave Tyyn with your mother? We could be back after everything calms down?" She asked. She usually wasn't so gentle with her words either, but Tyyn was here, and she wasn't about smack talking the crowd with her impressionable daughter to tote around.
TYYN POST 5
Tyyn squealed at her father's loud munching, clapping her hands together and burrowing into her mother's side.
But she frowned when she realized they were starting up their grown up talk again. "This is boring, she complained." She didn't know why they had to stand here. Why couldn't they look at all the shiny stuff in the market?

Rishima Post 4Rishima gave a nod of his head, "It is dangerous, but I know that there must be those amongst my sisters, amongst the elders, who don't feel that we should be going straight to war. It seems as though there is so much more that could and should be done." The fact that the other Earthlings were already so up in arms around them, deciding if they should make a blockade or let his sisters pass, wanting to deal with the Alkidike in their own ways. It was something that made Rishima's chest hurt, knowing that many lives could be lost if someone didn't do something and fast, "Even if its dangerous, given who I am, it's something I should do." He should have done so to begin with, he had been weak and afraid, had decided giving them space was the best idea to avoid further riling up of his sisters... but it seemed it was already too late for that it would appear, everyone was already riled. Turning to look at Enki, who didn't really seem all that pleased with Rishima's presence, said, "There is nothing saying they will listen to me, they may very well kill me where I stand, but someone needs to talk with the elders, the mystics, and my other sisters." Why not him? He was amongst the highest ranked hybrids in his tribe after all. The question then became what to do about Gerraden? If he was going to his possible end he didn't exactly want to bring him along, not wanting him to get hurt, but he couldn't leave him behind either since he doubted Gerraden would allow that unless he tied him down as Jerarda had. Turning to give Gerraden a glance he almost considered it before he said, "It will be dangerous, Gerraden, I won't ask you to go with me if you don't want to risk your life, I know that I don't want you to." He told him, lifting a hand to ruffle Gerraden's hair before he turned back to the elders, "What do you think that your people will do? They seem torn between a few choices at the moment. I am curious so I know what I should say when I find the others."

YEJIDE POST 5
Yejide had to agree with the boy, they were just talking themselves back and forth. She grunted her agreement. "It would seem no one can make up their minds."
She stretched in her spot and plopped herself onto the floor. "I'm about ready to tell them to wake me up when they decide whether we're going to war or not." She grumbled. "I managed to avoid the first one, I can do the same here." She fell back onto the tree trunk, letting herself hit it with a soft thunk. She didn't even fight, what good would she be to these people anyways?

MIRIN POST 5
Mirin nodded her head, the grin still on her face. "I knew there was a reason I saved you from the Obans." She joked. Ouen seemed to be voicing her own thoughts.
"If everyone is afraid, then what's to stop them for taking over here too? We just gonna roll over and die because someone louder than us doesn't like the way things are?" She scoffed.
She was getting antsy again. She wanted to bounce in her spot, waiting for the call to arms.

Nyiim- post 4
The Leaf man's eyes grew wide as the young woman drew her hand across his chest. He'd call it an accident. He was sure it had been, somehow.
"It's a pleasure," he said, offering a little nod. The poor thing looked absolutely humiliated, he couldn't be angry with her... never mind the fact that he was rarely angry with anyone. His head tilted when a sprite joined them, though. It seemed friendly with Syqvara. He had run across several in his adventuring but only rarely one so keen to interact with Earthlings. Huh. Interesting. When the girl looked around he did too, altohugh he had no idea who they were looking for. Chandra?
"A friend of yours?" Nyiim asked.
Vukasin- post 4
Oh my, the seriousness in the young woman's tone led him to believe she was speaking from experience. He thought for a moment if the damage the Alkidike may do wasn't enough to ignore them, but he quickly scolded himself for such a consideration. Any lives lost would be mothers, father, brothers, sisters... maybe not his, but someone's. It was no good to allow harm on someone else just because you may not have to experience it yourself. Vuka turned to the leaders briefly, noted the hybrids, and turned back to the woman that had approached him.
"I imagine you're right. I'm not certain hybrids are the best to speak with the Alkidike, but they're likely the only ones around?" Of course their parents were the ones who wouldn't particularly need a talking-to. Extremists would loathe hybrids just as much, wouldn't they? "Honestly, I hope I'm wrong and this can all be solved with a few words. I'll be ready to fight if I have to--" he sighed "I mean, I'll have to be."

Callum 5
"And you're telling me not to be too hard on myself?" Callum laughed. "I would boast from the mountain tops if I were you. That's a difference of personalities though, I suppose. Handsome, though? I'm happy you think so, but I'll have to respectively disagree on that." After all, that was the reason he decked himself out in such bright colors and feathers, wasn't it? To help himself be as colorful as those around him?
Callum fell in step with Juno's suggestive wink, and caught a little mischief in his grin. "You should consider becoming an ambassador. The world would benefit from thoughts like that."
He returned his attention to Antiope and Enki with a little slide in his grin to a frown. "What harm would it be," he called out, making sure his voice was heard above the clammer, "in finding out why they're trying to get to Sauti? Charging in full force is only going to end more lives; haven't we had enough?" Dris'rynne 4
Standing in this group was like trying to talk to her grandfather when he was drinking. She would have had better luck speaking with Enki and Antiope directly, though now she wouldn't have any chance of getting so close to them.
Her family...they couldn't stay, regardless of the outcome. Her grandfather wouldn't leave unless forced, though her grandmother and sisters might have a chance. If only she could get word to her parents...Suddenly, Dris'rynne seized Talisia's shoulders and looked her dead in the eyes. "Your raptrix, how well can he follow commands? If I gave him something with my mothers scent on it, do you think he could find her?"
She wasn't trying to hurt the girl, or frighten her, but her grip was stern." Talisia, this is urgent. My parents have to be reached. If I can send a missive to them and escort my family to the border they might be able to hold up until it's passed."
