Flora moved to the dart station with one simple goal in mind; pop at least seven balloons. She knew that no matter how many she popped she wouldn't get more than six tickets, so why put in the effort? She approached the stand and felt a bit crunched as she had popped several balloons and the then missed one after successfully popping six, but the next dart hit its target and Flora gave up the rest of her darts in exchange for her tickets.

Flora moved back into the Arcade tent to look for another game to play and beat, maybe even make the high score list. Though, once again though she needed to be careful and find a game that better suited her..... Physique. Flora was content with her progress on the video games, now it was time to give the fortune wheel another shot to earn easy tickets for Natalia. Flora eyed the fishing booth again, glancing to the wailmer she had caught. Maybe it could use a friend. Catching the last wailmer had earned her quite a few tickets, so Flora decided she should at least try it again. Once she took her place at the stand, people recognized her from last time and began to gather, knowing that Flora was pretty talented with the paper net game. Once again, Flora pulled off a perfect catch, even dumping the tiny Wailmer in with the other wailmer in her plastic bag of water without the net breaking. It was a sensation, and Flora happily took her second 100 ticket receipt from the baffled game manager.

Content with another flawless catch, Flora moved to the Fortune wheel to see how her luck was doing. After she spun the wheel and the marker landed on a seven though, Flora had to wonder if maybe fishing up that wailmer had depleted some of her luck. It was an interesting thought, but either way seven was pretty good. It was no nine, but still above average, and so Flora would take it without complaint.

✦ ✦Aria was in the midst of heading back, pausing when she saw Natalia and Aiden walking by just some distance away, talking to each other no doubt. The Delphox chuckled a bit, as much as she would love to accompany them to the wishing tree, perhaps they could use some time to themselves. Besides, she could simply hang back and play some more festival games in the meantime. Humming softly to herself, she made an about face pivot and went back to the booths, hopefully she would have much better luck with the games this time. She had been getting fairly lousy scores as of late, it was about time for her to make up for it. She strolled over to the darts booth again to test just how lucky she was, flexing her fingers in anticipation as the manager handed her the ten darts. Taking a deep breath, she put as much focus as she could into her aim as she launched the projectiles one by one. A few of her shots ended up falling short of their marks, but in the end she popped about six of the balloons before she ran out. Maybe if she could focus hard enough, she could get all ten of them in one go. Nevertheless, she was happy to take the four tickets she was given for a decent effort, and she was off to the next game.✦ ✦

She had managed to get at least one ring over a bottle the last time, time to try for a two in one… With the rings in hand, the Delphox felt focused and prepared as she set her gaze on the empty bottles before her. A few deft flicks of her wrist sent them spiraling out into the crowd, Aria crossing her fingers for good luck as she watched them go. Her ears perked up in surprise and utter delight as all three rings landed around a bottle, now THAT was certainly a step up from last time! The Delphox giggled as she performed a little celebratory jig, happily taking the ten tickets she was awarded for a job well done. ✦ ✦Stepping into the arcade, Aria was prepared to try to earn more redemption at these games. By far, the arcade games had been giving her plenty of hell, and she was hoping to try to turn it around like she had with the darts and the ring toss. She approached a console that looked like some kind of Street Fighter-esque game, and decided she would try her hand at it. Piloting the controls, Aria started it up and had at it. Try as she might, her fighter character ended up getting utterly decimated by her opponent, she hadn’t stood even a snowball’s chance in hell against the guy. The Delphox sighed, a pout on her muzzle as the machine pumped out a single ticket for consolation. She was determined to get a nice high score one of these days, but her dismal scores at these games reminded her more and more about just how out of practice she was at this. For now, she would just cut her losses and take the ticket, looks like she needed much more time to, as they would say nowadays, ‘get good’ at these arcade games before she could even have a chance of redemption.✦ ✦

She at the very least wanted to gather enough tickets to be able to get a nice prize for Aiden, surely they had enough by now to spend on some TMs or a nice new held item for one of her teammates.When it came to be her turn, Aria wasted no time as she took hold of the wheel and spun it as hard as she could. Round and round it went, the Delphox watching with barely contained anticipation as the colors flickered by the pointer. The wheel slowed down, and eventually came to a full stop. Seven tickets out of a possible ten? She would take it, gladly. Aria grinned, wagging her tail a bit as she took her seven tickets and added it to her collection. Now to try out that fishing game once more, she was determined to catch one of those little Wailmer and score those one hundred tickets before the Tanabata was finished.✦ ✦

✦ ✦Aria rubbed her hands together as she approached the fishing booth, third time was the charm, they always said. She had seen crowds gathering around the booth when Flora had gone over to it, apparently she had been successful in catching a Wailmer quite a few times now. The Delphox couldn’t help but feel a bit envious, she wondered if she should consider asking the Mawile what her secret for success was. Shaking her head, Aria was determined to do this on her own, she was going to catch one of those little buggers before this whole festival was through! Taking up her paper net, she positioned herself over the bowl in preparation, keeping her eyes on the little Wailmer swimming around inside. Seeing her chance, she dipped the paper net into the water to try to get ahold of the closest one she could reach. Unfortunately, her luck proved to be just as bad as the last few times as he net tore in two, concluding unsuccessful attempt number three at catching one of those Wailmer. Aria bit back the string of curses that threatened to spill off her tongue, begrudgingly accepting her one ticket for consolation. One of these days, little Wailmer… one of these days…✦ ✦

✦ ✦Aiden grinned widely and chuckled, nodding as Natalia said that she was at least glad that the egg hatched into a Froakie instead of another Aklor that liked to ram into her stomach. ” Heh, yeah, that’s true enough~” he said, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly at the thought. He couldn’t imagine something like that would’ve felt the least bit pleasant, even if the Pokemon was only being playful. Hopefully it would get better as it grew and started learning what not to do… Aiden nodded as Natalia went on to suggest that the Froakie had only just hatched, so it was understandable that the bright Tanabata lights were far more interesting than her. ” Of course~ I know all too well how curious baby Pokemon can be, it’s only natural instinct for them after all,” he agreed with a nod, admiring the Froakie’s unusual but gorgeous colors and patterns. He remarked on how beautiful the little frog Pokemon was, smiling warmly as Natalia agreed, stroking the Froakie’s cheek. Carmine took the praise quite well, her bubbly scarf puffing up a little as she opened one eye to look over the two trainers before closing it again. In any case, now that they had arrived and gotten themselves situated, they started making their way along the path leading out of town towards Bond Bridge and Berry Forest. Aiden figured he would make small talk along the way so that they wouldn’t get bored, and explained to Natalia about the set up of Three Island. Berry Forest was on the ‘child island’ to the west, and could be reached via crossing the Bond Bridge from the ‘parent island’, where they currently were. Natalia seemed quite interested, and asked why the two were considered to be a single island rather than two separate ones . ” Heh, well, I’m not exactly sure about that, I’ve asked that same question myself as well a long time ago. I guess the only explanation would be that it’s always been this way~” Aiden responded with a sheepish chuckle, shrugging slightly, ” Besides, if there were eight islands, I don’t think the name of the region would have quite the same ring to it as ‘Sevii Isles’ does~” Even more so, Aiden knew from firsthand that Sevii Islanders didn’t exactly take too well to change around these parts. He could still vividly remember the furious outrage the citizens of Five Island had when Team Rocket came over uninvited many years ago, building that intrusive warehouse in the meadows and disrupting the peace of the island. Last he remembered, that old warehouse had still been standing even long after Team Rocket had abandoned it for good, the people of Five Islands had been talking about tearing it down sometime prior to the invasion by Team Void. Aiden shook his head, pushing those thoughts aside for now as he continued to talk with Natalia, explaining how the Berry Forest was notoriously known because Hypno tended to kidnap children by luring them in via hypnosis. He recalled his mother warning him to stay close to her and not wander too far away whenever they visited those woods, and he could certainly understand her concerns. He wasn’t too certain of what happened to some of the children who vanished into Berry Forest in the past, but from what stories he’d heard about the place, not all of them came back safely… Aiden couldn’t help but shudder at the thought, taking a breath and listening to Natalia’s reassurances. The idea of encountering a Hypno or two in the forest was certainly unsettling, yes, but she did have a good point. The Hypno of Berry Forest tended to prey on children, and they were far too old to be considered kids in that sense. And even if they did encounter one, they would have their Pokemon with them to help keep them safe. ” Of course~ With that in mind, I’m sure that we have very little to worry about~” he agreed with a smile, feeling quite confident that they would be just fine. However, all the talk about the possible dangers of Berry Forest seemed to have set Thalia on edge, and Aiden couldn’t help but feel bad for frightening the Fairy-type with his stories. He reassured her that they would be just fine, gently scratching her behind the ears to help calm her down. Natalia joined in as well, rubbing Thalia behind her ears and adding her own assurances. The Sylveon gave a small smile, nuzzling both trainers in return as she relaxed at their words. There would be plenty of other people going into the forest as well, and if what Natalia and Aiden said were true, the Hypno wouldn’t dare try to attack a group.” O-Okay…”she said softly with a nod, feeling significantly better as she took their reassuring words to heart. The Sylveon nuzzled Aiden softly, before nodding towards Natalia and reaching her feelers out towards the girl, indicating that she wanted to keep the brunette company for a while. ” Heh, looks like Thalia wants to cuddle with you for a bit, you don’t mind, right?” he asked with a soft chuckle, gently holding the Fairy-type out towards Natalia in offering. At this time, they were finally approaching the Bond Bridge, though Aiden paused a moment when he noticed a large crowd of people gathering around the entrance of the forest just across the bridge. Well, what with all the tourists and such attending Tanabata, he imagined that a lot of the special attractions would be quite packed. ” Berry Forest looks like it’s pretty busy right now…” he commented with a slight frown. While large crowds would help to keep them safe, at the same time it could be a while before they could visit the wishing tree themselves. ” You know… maybe we can come back later, when it’s a little less busy,” he suggested, offering a small smile as he looked to Natalia, ” I’m sure we’ll have enough time for it before Tanabata’s over~” Until then, what else could they possibly do before they would come back here around the time when the larger crowds would start clearing out? Aiden’s eyes lit up as a thought crossed his mind, and he turned his gaze towards Natalia once more. ” In the meantime… I think that I’m almost ready to go visit Five Island, but I’d like to make one more stop before we go there,” he said, a contemplative look crossing his face as he considered the options, ” Do you think we could head over to Two Island first? I just… need a little more time to prepare is all…” He hoped that Natalia wouldn’t be too bothered by his rather roundabout suggestions, even though she had told him to take all the time he needed to get himself ready and that they didn’t necessarily have to go. ” I’m really sorry, by the way, for having us come all this way only to turn back…” Aiden added, offering an apologetic smile to her. He felt bad that they had come all the way out here, only to have to turn and go back the way they came. He hoped she wouldn’t be too disappointed that they couldn’t visit the wishing tree just yet, they could always come back later after all, preferably when it wasn’t so busy as it was right now.✦ ✦

Natalia nodded in understanding as Aiden tried to explain why Three island was considered one island instead of two separate ones. Part of the answer was that the two islands were just always considered as one, but the other theory was that eight islands didn't quite have the same ring to it as the sevii islands. "Heh, well I can't argue with that. Eight islands, Octa Islands... It just doesn't work. Sevii certainly rolls off the tongue better." Natalia agreed with a chuckle.
She glanced over at Aiden for a moment and caught his expression harden into an unpleasantly thoughtful one, and briefly wondered what had crossed his mind, unable to make the same connections he did. "Is everything alright...?" Natalia asked worriedly, but he seemed to recover quickly and mention a bit of lore and warning with the Hypnos in the forest here, and they were soon focused on trying to dissuade Thalia of her fear from the tale with reassurances that they could more than handle a few Hypno. Eventually Thalia seemed to calm down, though after she nuzzled Aiden she reached her Feelers out to Natalia, seeming to want to be carried by the brunette for a while.
Aiden pointed this out and asked if it was okay with her to let Thalia cuddle with her a bit and Natalia grinned, happily taking the Sylveon from him. "Do you really have to ask? Of course I don't mind~" Natalia giggled and cuddled Thalia happily. As they crossed Bond Bridge however, they noticed that there was a rather large crowd huddled around the forest, commenting that things looked rather busy right now. "Yeah... Wow, I didn't expect there to be so many people. This must be a popular stop." Natalia commented, looking a bit uncomfortable. She didn't mind waiting with the crowd if Aiden wanted to, but really large crowds made her uneasy. There were so many people in one place, it was easy to miss a face that she would otherwise recognize, which was really bad for someone like her. Thankfully, Aiden instead he suggested maybe coming back later when it wasn't quite so congested. "Mm. Yeah let's do that then. We just need to remember to come back before we leave." Natalia agreed.
In the meantime, Aiden suggested that he was warming up to the idea of traveling to five island, but he really wanted to stop by two island first before heading over there. Natalia gave him a gentle smile and nod. "Whatever you want to do Aiden. You're in charge of this visit, just lead the way and I'll follow." She insisted, shifting Thalia to comfortably hold in one arm so she could place a reassuring hand on Aiden's arm and give a gentle squeeze before shifting to hold onto Thalia again, stroking one of her soft little paws with her thumb. Aiden kept apologizing though, except now he felt bad fro dragging them all this way only to turn back and head to another island. "Hey, c'mon, what are you apologizing for? Its not like you knew it was going to be this busy here. I'd rather move on and enjoy another part of the island in the meantime while everyone here clears out than stand and wait in line for Arceus knows how long." Natalia pointed out with a lighthearted chuckle. "Goodness Aiden, relax. We're supposed to be having fun, remember?" She teased a bit, trying to lift his spirits. The poor boy had seemed so tense ever since they'd arrived, Natalia just didn't know what to do with him.
They made their way back towards town, and Natalia got ahold of Flora, who had just scored a perfect ten on the Fortune Wheel, and... Goodness what on earth all had she accumulated during her time here? Was that two tiny Wailmer in a bag of water? They were so cute! "Where did you get these?!" Natalia asked, taking the little wailmer and looking them over with fascination. Natalia was so distracted and enamored with the little pokemon lining the shelves, and now Flora had taught her the secret to catching the little pokemon with her paper net, there was no stopping her from adding a few more fish to her collection. Natalia first went after a tiny squirtle, which took a couple of tries to actually net, under Flora's advice, but once she sucessfully scooped the Squirtle up and into her plastic bag of water, she believed she had gotten the hang of it.
Meanwhile, seeing that her trainer was going to be busy for a while, Flora attempted to busy herself with an arcade game to play, though she ended up getting distracted by checking up on her trainer occasionally and doing horribly, only earning three tickets from the game.

Natalia attempted to go for the Wailmer challenge just to see if she could do it just as well as Flora had, but even when she followed all of Flora's tips, she still utterly failed. It was a good thing Flora had already gotten her two Wailmer, otherwise Natalia would be leaving without any.
So Natalia didn't bother with that challenge anymore and found something a bit easier to catch, like a Clamperl. She fished the shelled pokemon out from it's bowl with ease and added it to her growing collection. They were all just so cute! She wanted as many as she could possibly collect.
