Results~! Dumuzi seemed to have a bit of a strategy when it came to catching that cute little Clamperl that was just begging her to catch it. Using the more of the edge of the paper net she slowly and carefully got it into positon where she was able to scoop it out, much to the surprise of the old man behind the counter. She giggled a bit and dropped the miniature clamperl into his open hand. Rewarded with her 10 tickets, Dumuzi finally felt like she was starting to get somewhere!
Dumuzi tilted her head a bit when Theo cut himself short, it didn’t take an ace detective to know that he was hiding something, but… she knew that it would do her no good to pry into the matter. She didn’t think that Theo was a thief or anything, he just didn’t seem like he had the street-smarts nor the personality for it. She looked down at Alba and knelt down, placing Niamh on her lap and shifting slightly and placing her hand on top of his head, giving him soothing pets to calm whatever had gotten him so spooked. Maybe Oliva scared him a little more than they thought? It was hard to question Theo about something that he didn’t want to talk about, and quite frankly, Dumuzi would probably be called a hypocrite herself because of the secrets that she was keeping as well. Though she didn’t think that he was a monster or a bad person, she wondered what he needed to take when he got back to Tyria. She supposed right now, there was no need worry too hard about it or think too much on the matter. When Theo was ready to tell her, she would listen. Until then she would just worry about her own little secrets. ”I think that it is important to go forwards like that. My mom always said to work towards a future where you have no regrets.” She looked up at Theo. ”I’m not sure what your secret is, Theo, and I won’t pry. But… maybe you should tell your pokemon when you get the chance and are alone. After all, all good relationships are based on trust, right?”

Letting her gaze wander over to her other water pokemon, Ajicka couldn't help but notice the amount of duplication she had. Wooper and Swampert was an honest miscalculation-- there was no way she had known she would unexpectedly be given a mudkip, after having so recently caught a Wooper. Did she make the right choice by deciding to train the former? Swampert had certainly seemed more enthused to train at the time, even as her first evolution... Then there was Ducklett and Mantyke, who was flying above the water, dipping into waves happily. Both flying water types, both good pokemon. She wasn't sure why, but she felt more... attached to both of them. Like she could easily find a place for each of them. With Wooper, she just wasn't sure, but shook the thought.
It wasn't as though she planned to just stop being a trainer, even if she reached her goal of being a regional champion. She would have time for all of them, so long as they had interest in remaining a part of her team. Smoochum, too, was another pokemon she would have to fit into her rotation at some point, along with Murkrow, and a few others.
Well, one thing was for certain. As long as her pokemon journey had been so far, as far as she felt she'd come... she was nowhere near finished.

Results~! A lady must possess and elegance around her, a flow that was natural and guiding like a free flowing river. And it was with this tapping into her feminine energy that Dumuzi tossed those rings right over two of the MooMoo milk bottles, the third bounced off in an act of defiance that Dumuzi had seen before with the games. Though she was happy to take those 5 tickets off the venders hands for him!
Dumuzi nodded at Theo’s words, it was good that he was going to be taking her wisdom to heart. She slowly stood up, scooping up Niamh in the process as she did so in order to spare her form a rather uncomfortable tumble. It seemed that Alba was at least mostly comforted, but if he wanted to stick around her some more, he was more than welcome to. She looked around at all the booths and people that were having fun. It had been a long time sense she had this much fun in public, was it because she never allowed herself to have this kind of fun before or was it because she was trying to be a little truer to herself and allow her feminine nature to come through. Dumuzi looked down at Alba. ”Shall we go, Alba? Let’s look around and see what else we can find here.” Dumuzi came alongside Theo once again, giving some space in case Alba still wanted to use her as a bit of a human shield to put between himself and Theo and Oliva. ”So Theo’s, with all the research that you’ve done with the gym leaders, is there one in particular that you idolize or really looking forwards to challenging? If so, then what is it about them that draws you to them?” Dumuzi was trying to keep a conversation rolling, it looked like everyone could need a little time to cool off and get their minds off of what Theo’s big secret was. Dumuzi had always been on the shyer side, so conversation wasn’t always her strong point. But she was willing to give it a try.

Time was rather easy to lose track of out in the water, and after a while Ajicka rolled off of Swampert's back, deciding to get some exercise and swim back to shore. She'd let her pokemon enjoy the water a little longer, but she wanted to get back to play a few more games, see if she could add to her ticket collection.
She reached the land and climbed out, wringing her pants out a bit and making her way over to her belongings to sit down. She released Jas from his pokeball and and he laid down behind her, so that she could lean back against him, the sun and the heat from his body working to dry her off as she pulled out the pamphlet she had picked up regarding the fair. She wanted to double check what the ticket prizes were, since she figured she was starting to get enough that knowing what she was saving up for would be a good idea. Evidently, they had mega stones, which she remembered slightly from first looking into the festival. That was definitely something of interest, and she would have to double check which of her pokemon could mega evolve. She knew Arrow could, but she wasn't sure the stone would help him much. Metagross, too, and honestly, she sort of felt she owed him something like that; he had not only been an incredible battle pokemon, but a good companion, as well.
Then there was Jas, and she really did want the other megastone for him. She wasn't sure what her other options were, though, and she probably had a while before she needed to decide.
She closed her book, setting it aside and reclining back, letting herself dry off a bit before she would return her pokemon, and head back.

After a while Ajicka pulled herself up, brushing off the sand and whistling for her pokemon to come in. She returned them as they climbed up on the beach, giving Gyarados, who came over and gave a grateful roar, a smile and a head rub, before recalling him into his pokeball. She was actually kind of surprised... from her experience with him in the past, he was usually fairly lazy. He must have just been really glad to be able to go swimming in the ocean and play with her other pokemon.
She recalled the rest of her pokemon, letting Jolteon and Jas stay out, the latter of which took to the skies to stretch his wings. Ajicka watched him go, pulling her shirt on and heading for town, so that she could play some more games, and see what else was available. So far, she was rather enjoying the island... but she was considering at least looking into her options to see if any of the others had something worth going to see.

Starting off with the Ring Toss, things weren't looking as good as before. She missed all of them, and ironically, they all bounced off the exact same way. She rolled her eyes, but smiled at the strangeness of it, nodding and accepting her consolatory two tickets. She wasn't sure how her luck would go, but if she could at least get enough tickets to put her a little ways over the 100 mark, she'd be happy. And maybe after a bit of games and exploring, she'd try looking into traveling elsewhere for a while.

Stifling a yawn and stretching a hand over her head, Ajicka couldn't help but wonder if she was perhaps relaxing a little too much. Sure, she'd had that battle, and she was proud as all hell that Jolteon had pulled through, but she was starting to get a bit lazy. She already felt like taking a nap, and she hadn't been doing that much. Well... she had gone swimming. She'd eaten, too, walked around a bit... But still, she'd already rested some for the day. She didn't used to need any naps, let alone two. Perhaps it was worth kicking up the intensity a bit, maybe try jogging on the beach or something, get her blood going so that she wouldn't feel so lazy.
She swung into the arcade center, deciding to try her hand her first game, to see if she could beat her previous score. As it turned out, perhaps being relaxed was a good thing-- or maybe all she needed was a good game to wake up, because by the end, her heart was racing, her palms were sweating, and her face was alight with joy as New High Score flashed across the screen. She stood back, beaming, hands on her hips, and trying hard not to jump or kick her feet up in the air. Now that was a nice change in direction! She put in her short-hand name-- AJR-- and, perhaps with a bit of extra swagger, headed back on out, counting her winnings with a cocky smirk on her face. Perhaps she was gloating a bit too much... but she was happy for the turn of events.

She took her ticket, stopping to buy somem food for her pokemon again, tossing a treat to Jolteon, who leaped up and caught it, and throwing another, much higher, for Jas, who swept down, catching the treat and landing beside Ajicka with an appreciative roar. She smiled, rubbing his muzzle and then turning to walk. It was funny... she'd had the two the longest, but they were rather different. While Jas appreciated the affection... there was a distinct lack of interest in that from Jolteon. She stayed close to Ajicka, but not within reach; she was clearly very determined on getting strong, and she'd stuck with her this long, but there was a distance she seemed to keep even on an emotional level.
Ajicka had come to accept it, there was a mutual respect, appreciation, and caring between them... but it was distinctly different than the sort of connection she had with some of her other pokemon.

Well.... so much for skill.
Ajicka let her hand swing down to her side after the last dart failed to pop a balloon. Two... she got two, out of ten. What, was her aim really just that off? She did do pretty awful at the ring toss, so... yeah, apparently it was. Maybe being this relaxed was good for her concentration, not for her coordination... as if that made sense. She shook off the thought but gave an appreciative nod as she received her two tickets, tucking them away and pulling out that pamphlet again. There were a few things on some of the islands that looked like they could be interesting to check out, but some of them were more than just sight seeing, and it occurred to her she... hadn't really done an inventory check. Considering she was saving up to buy items, and was looking for places to shop or search for other items... it was probably worth doing. Especially now that she had all this free time, and all.

Making her way over a bench, Ajicka dropped down, swinging her bag around to bring it to rest on her lap, grimacing a bit at the weight. Jolteon leaped up on the bench beside her, and, after standing awkwardly around for a bit, Jas took off, deciding to fly around some more while his trainer busied herself doing... whatever she was doing.
Ajicka started by noting that she should probably organize her backpack. After a moment's consideration, she turned it over, and promptly dumped everything out, once she had removed things like food. She started by making sure all her badges were accounted for in her badge case-- six from Kanto, one from Sinnoh. Once she was sure they were all there, she carefully nestled the container into a pencil-box sized compartment along the side of her backpack-- one made for easy access near the top.
She began absently organizing and straightening up her other items, making sure both her fishing rods were in fine condition, setting her pokeballs and any variation there of to one side, while counting and noting each of the TMs she had. Actually, she had more than she had thought-- she would have to take a look at her pokemon's movesets before she challenged Blaine to make sure there weren't any improvements she could make with them. Once she had those and her HMs organized and tucked into her backpack, she moved onto some of the more clunky items, dispersing them a bit so that she could get a proper look at them.

To her great surprise, she actually had two fossils. Two. She didn't even know what they were at first, she'd completely forgotten about them. She wasn't even sure when she got them, though she had some vague recollection of perhaps getting at least one of them back during the Carnival. She had to dig around a bit before she found the right book, but eventually she turned it up, battered and beaten, to check what, exactly, they could be resurrected to. The Dome Fossil... that could be turned into Kabuto, and the Helix, omanyte. She blinked, lifting her head to consider that a moment. And here she thought Arrow was her only prehistoric pokemon. As it would turn out... she had two more, they were just... dormant.
She looked back down, flipping through her book, and stopping at a list of labs and locations that could revive pokemon. Professors labs, apparently, could do it-- and there were some others scattered across the regions as well. Most importantly, Cinnabar had one. She snapped the book shut, tucking it away, and safely nestling the two fossils in her bag. So, as well as challenging Blaine, she would have to try and remember to get these fossils resurrected while she was on the island back in Kanto. That was good to know.

Resuming her organization, Ajicka couldn't help but notice that she still had 2 Odd and 2 Rose incenses. If she remembered right, one brought a lot of lower level pokemon, of the same type. Useful for training, but only if the pokemon were lower level themselves, so that the exp benefitted them more. Then again... thinking about it, that combined with some other items that helped the pokemon grow faster... that really could be skilfully strategized. Then again, Rose incense brought in a lot of pokemon in general, for a bit... So she would keep them both tucked away fro now. Perhaps she'd let one of her friends have them or something, if they ended up needing them, but for now she'd keep them in her backpack for safe keeping.
A few healing items.... and some berries. She had quite a few Quick Claws, but now that her pokemon were getting higher in level, she wasn't sure she would really need them as much. She sighed, propping leg up and leaning forward to rest her arm on her knee. There was still so much to do. Even with her pokemon getting in higher levels, they had a ways to go before they were really at the top of their game. Not to mention all the pokemon she still had to train... Was it really worth taking a break just because she defeated all the gyms, and starting a new team? Her pokemon would likely only be about 70% of their full potential... but then again, she could always pull them out, and train them up again intermittently. It was just to let them have a break... and it was good to mix things up a bit.
The Quick Claws could be used for her lower level pokemon.
She set those in as well, and continued sorting through her items.
