Mercy was listening. These past few days, she had been so busy thinking about how they were going to keep Elle alive, how they were going to adjust to taking care of a baby in addition to all of their other responsibilities. She hadn't thought about how amazing it would be to see Elle grow up and marvel in the woman she would one day become. But drunk Mercy didn't have the attention span to continue with that line of imagination, especially now that she was learning about Riko's kinks.
The werewolf's brows rose slightly in curiosity as Riko shared her preference. Then her lips spread into a broad grin and she leaned forward toward Riko, elbows settling on the tabletop. "Hmm... that would've been my third guess," she replied playfully. So, Riko liked to feel a little pain and give a little pain. Interesting. "But, anyway, I do, too, every now and then. I get the power dynamic. There's a certain... exhilaration from having the ability to deal pain, and then five minutes later be vulnerable to it." After a moment, she added, shrugging, "As long as it's safe and all that, of course."

"That would have been a very insightful third guess." RIko commented leaning back in her chair a little bit before looking over at Mercy a bit more closely. "Though I guess after you saw what I did to Delorna there isn't much of a secret about how I chose to play." Play perhaps wasn't the best word, but it would do for now. Riko raised a brow at Mercy when the girl said that she understood, Riko wondered if she really understood or if that was just the alcohol talking. Riko looked her over briefly raising a brow, before looking away chuckling to herself at the "As long as its safe." Well maybe Mercy had been through some rough spots in her past so that is what she could be referencing too. "So you like feeling vulnerable Mercy? Is that it?" Riko asked, raising a brow.

Sober Mercy might have ended the conversation here or strategically turned the question back on Riko without revealing anything. But drunk Mercy thought this was a perfect time to chat about her sexual kinks. "Sure, every once in a while," she said. "I think I'm more guarded than you think I am, Riko." And she grinned, like it was some kind of big secret. "Keeping it all wrapped up can be tiring... you would know, probably. And sometimes, it feels good to just... not be in control." Mercy shrugged her shoulders.
She thought of the pack again, and the cloud lingered behind her eyes as she turned them to her empty shot glass. "When I was in the tribe, before..." Mercy shook her head; the details weren't important. "Well. The Alpha, normally everything was equal with her in bed, but sometimes she would let me be completely in charge. I liked my role, but I didn't really get it, why she would make that request. Not until she reached the point when she needed to be in control of everything." Mercy hesitated a second, then she poured herself half of a shot and took it. Her last one, she promised herself. No more.
The grin returned in full force, and she stood suddenly. Stepping closer to Riko's chair, Mercy lowered herself onto the vampire's lap and wrapped her arms around Riko's neck. "And you like to feel a little pain, do you?" she asked, curious, but flirtatious at the same time.

(hey I was going to do that! lol) "I don't know about not being in control, that part is a bit difficult for me." Riko admitted to Mercy again cause the girl was drunk, and was talking about a lot of things that she would probably forget. "I can't not be in control, even when I'm receiving, you know me. I like to dictate." Riko said honestly. She imagined herself giving up complete control to someone, being at the mercy of their whims. It didn't frighten her persay, but it did make her nervous. "So in your pack, the alpha literally had the pick of the litter when ever she wanted to get her rocks off huh?" Riko joked, with a snort, really she was poking fun to change the topic a little bit to one she was a little more comfortable with. "And you were her favorite huh? Aint that cute." Riko mused, watching Mercy pour herself another shot. Yep the girl was gonna sleep real good tonight. Riko watched Mercy take the last shot, and her eyes continued to track the girl as she stood, and approached her. Not batting a lash when Mercy straddled her hips and wrapped her arms around her neck loosely. Riko looked up at Mercy, her hands unconsciously moving to the girls thighs idly squeezing. "I like to give it as much as I take it, yes."

(Yessssss. XD)
Mercy didn't respond to Riko's comments about the Alpha, only chuckled and shook her head. It wasn't quite like that--there was more structure to the pack than that--but why bother explaining that to a vampire?
Beside, Mercy was on to new, better lines of questioning. Her grin was wolfish as she stared Riko down and felt the vampire's hands on her thighs. "That's a pretty roundabout way of answering my question," she mused. She hadn't asked about how well Riko could deal pain; she had asked how well Riko could take it. Mercy ran her fingers through the hair on the back of Riko's head, curling the strands around them, tugging lightly. "Looked like the score was pretty uneven with Delorna last night, though." She leaned in, her mouth right beside Riko's ear. "Maybe I need to... settle it for her," she whispered. Then, spurred on by the alcohol, Mercy trailed her lips across the skin where Riko's jaw and ear connected to her neck, where the werewolf sunk her teeth in. Not deep enough to break the skin or draw blood, but a little bit heavier than the typical n**.

"Its the most honest way I know of answering the question," Riko said honestly. Trying to ignore the pull that Mercy had on on her hair, drunk Mercy was certainly an interesting Mercy that was for sure. "Delorna was fine last night, believe it or not. She's just a bit more subtle with the way that she ******** me." Riko said, more or less to grate at Mercy, make it feel as though Riko was nonplussed about all of this. Though it was hard to pretend when Mercy placed her lips on her neck, bit into her. Riko cringed placing her hand on Mercy's hips and pushing away slightly. "You're drunk....when you wake up in the morning, you are going to hate yourself if we don't stop right now." Riko said, trying to keep some space in between them with her hands. This was truly her final barrier.

Mercy couldn't tell if Riko was enjoying the werewolf's actions or not, and the way Delorna was referenced again didn't help. But drunk Mercy tended to function under the belief that everyone appreciated her advances. "A subtle succubus," she breathed, chuckling. "Who would've thought."
When Riko began pushing Mercy away, the werewolf pulled back slightly and met Riko's eyes, searching. She grinned. "I'll hate myself?" she repeated, clearly finding the statement more amusing than dangerous. "Why do you say that?" One hand snaking back around, fingers brushing the skin on Riko's neck and jawline on its way, Mercy took hold of Riko's chin. "Pretty sure I already asked you to ******** me," she continued, leaning in again. "Unless you forgot..."

"You were sober then, and you obviously aren't now." Riko said slowly. "There is a difference between going to bed with someone willingly, and waking up in their bad." Riko sighed, shaking her head. This whole honor thing was not her thing. "I guess you don't care either way." Riko said shaking her head. Well, she wasn't going to just take this sitting down, with a rush that she was sure a girl as drunk as Mercy wouldn't be able to comprehend Riko stood, wrapping her arms around the girls waist. She turned and dropped the girl on the table, knocking over her shot glass and almost the everclear. But she was quick to grab it by the lip. She took it and downed the rest of it in a quick gulp. She might as well be drunk too if they were going to do this. Gripping Mercy's chin forcefully, to show the girl who indeed was boss here, Riko pressed her lips forcefully against Mercy's.

For a second, it seemed to Mercy that Riko would decline, would leave her here to sober up alone. Then, finally, Riko gave in, and suddenly Mercy was sitting on the table. As Riko grabbed her chin, the werewolf couldn't help grinning wolfishly, her heart beat steadily picking up its pace. She had Riko right where she wanted.
--
When Mercy heard wailing, she assumed it was all in her head. Her head, which was throbbing like it had been hit by a sledgehammer; her head, which was crying out in pain and misery and scolding her for being stupid enough to take two and a half shots of Everclear. (Although, Hungover Mercy remembered only two shots.) Then, when it grew louder, Mercy, half-conscious and sore, wondered if she was making that noise in her misery. But by the time the sobbing reached her ear...
"Mercy. Your child needs you."
Mercy slowly rolled over and pried one eye open. There, not two inches from her face, was a screaming Elle. Surprised, Mercy jumped and scrambled to sit up. <********> Her vision blurry due to her freshly-awakened state, Mercy rubbed her eyes until the fog cleared. Even then, though, the sunlight streaming in through the windows--that Delorna, who was holding the baby, had opened--attacked her irises and she hissed. Maybe this was how Riko felt when she went outside, Mercy thought, wincing.
Wait. Riko.
It all came back to her in a rush, but incomplete. Their lips meeting, skin against skin, moans... Mercy, eyes widening, glanced around the room, searching for the vampire. But before she could conduct a thorough investigation, Delorna moved Elle back into Mercy's line of vision.
"Baby, Mercy. And maybe get some clothes on first, huh, darlin'?"
Delorna chuckled, amused, as Mercy blushed fiercely and rushed to find her underwear and a shirt. Now at least mostly covered, Mercy scooped up Elle and began rocking her. Ugh, that sound! It was making Mercy's head burst at the seems. "Shhh, love," she said hurriedly, trying to remain calm. "I've got you, baby girl. Shhh." Pressing Elle against her chest, Mercy began walking around the room and bouncing up and down.
Delorna shook her head. "I knew you weren't fit to be a mother," she mused, clucking in mild disapproval. Mercy short her a death glare--and immdiately cringed and swore under her breath when the sun assaulted her eyes once more.
"If you're going to raise her, you're going to have to be more responsible," Delorna said, folding her arms across her chest and leaning against the wall, undeterred by Mercy's hostility. "Don't make Riko raise the baby on her own."

Delorna turned to Riko, then she shrugged and offered a coy smile. "Less recently than you think, sugar," she replied smoothly. Delorna and Mercy didn't get along, so Delorna tended to harp on her a bit more than she poked most people. Riko kept Delorna's interest and, more than that, fulfilled a particular need. The vampire, therefore, was typically treated with a little more respect.
Between her still throbbing skull, Elle's wailing, and the blinding sunlight, it was only when Mercy realized Delorna was talking to someone that she noticed Riko's return. Her eyes widened when she spotted the vampire, a few more memories crawling into her brain. A nameless something took hold of her. Embarrassment? Shame? Regret? No, no, none of these. Mercy didn't regret what had happened. In fact, if memory served her correctly, she had rather enjoyed it. A lot. But something had changed. Mercy's gaze fell to Riko's split lip, and she let out a laugh-like noise of simultaneous disbelief and amusement. "Oh, s**t," she sputtered, mouth cracking into a sliver of a grin. She reached out to gently run her thumb along the cut. "Did I do that?" Steve Urkel's voice bounced around in her head, but, thankfully, it was quickly silenced by Elle's crying. Mercy was reminded suddenly of their conversation in the store: she had to pretend like it had never happened. There were boundaries, and she was probably crossing them. Mercy suddenly jerked her hand away and tended to Elle again.
"Okay, sweetheart, you've got my full attention," she said, more calmly this time, although it was obvious her nerves were a bit frayed. Bouncing again, she walked into the hallway. "Shh, Elle. It's alright," she cooed. Elle wasn't buying it, so Mercy resorted to singing. "Speed, bonnie boat, like a bird on the wind..." "Skye Boat Song," a Celtic lullaby she remembered from her childhood. Elle, finally, showed interest and began to quiet.
Delorna, meanwhile, turned to Riko. "I still can't believe it," she wondered aloud, shaking her head, obviously referring to Mercy and Riko's night.

Riko rolled her eyes at Delorna, to be fair, Riko was a bit of a bully herself and if anything Riko probably had rubbed off on Delorna on more ways than one, she knew that the opposite was true for her, if only subtly. Riko just shook her head at Delorna with a sigh turning to watch Mercy handle Elle. It was off that Riko had felt that she hadn't seen Mercy and the child together in a long time, because it just wasn't true, Mercy had been holding Elle just yesterday morning. Riko watched Mercy close on her, not really reacting because she wasn't expecting much, but she did flinch a bit when Mercy touched her lip, getting very familiar with her. Riko didn't say anything about it however. It wasn't like Riko hadn't done more suggestive things to Mercy under less informal circumstances but still an open display of ...affection? Was a bit weird, especially with Delorna standing right there. Riko hoped it wouldn't happen again, that Mercy hadn't forgotten that what happened between them last night was just a bit of meaningless fun and nothing else. Elle made a good distraction though calling away Mercy's attention, Riko took a step back out of the room leaning against the door frame. She listened to Mercy sing to the girl a talent she didn't know the wolf possessed as Delorna spoke up again. "Can't believe what, that I would chose to have casual sex with someone besides you?" Riko asked putting emphasis around the word casual so that Delorna wouldn't get any stupid ideas in her head. (choir girl)

(I BREATHE SONG)
Delorna rolled her eyes and wondered if Riko really didn't see what she saw. "That you would choose to have casual sex with Mercy," she corrected. "She isn't like us. We can be intimate with others without forming an attachment, but for her, the line isn't so clear. And as a werewolf..." Delorna sighed. In her mind, Riko had made a terrible mistake, one that was going to follow her. "Not to mention," the succubus continued, laughing dryly, "you two are raising a child together." She shook her head and met Riko's gaze. "I think you're going to regret it, and she's going to get hurt."
Elle wasn't sleeping, but she had stopped crying. She was now looking up at Mercy with big, bright eyes, and her expression was filled with what Mercy could only assume was wonder or boredom. Or both. She was still learning the whole baby reading thing. Mercy sighed in relief and kissed the Elle's forehead. "Alright, love, show's over," she said. "I can't remember the rest of the verses..." She walked back into her room.
Delorna kicked away from the wall. "I guess I'll go make a pot of coffee for you, to help you freshen up," she said.
Mercy blinked, a little surprised. "O-Oh. Thanks." Delorna merely waved and walked down the stairs.

"We talked about this before anything happened, this sex was not out of attraction or anything else, for ******** sake it was like a business deal more than anything else." Riko whispered hotly. "Just because both you and I are of a flock that are more accustomed to being cold and heartless, doesn't mean that Mercy can't adapt to this no strings life style, nothing is going to happen and if something does." Riko said shrugging as if she could care less. "I'll just push her away, and she will get over it. Do you honestly think, I would let this become anymore than just a fling?" Riko demanded. Really she wanted to know Delorna's answer. But it wouldn't come Mercy returned to the room, her singing stopped as well as Elle's crying, it seemed the girls voice had worked wonders. Delorna took that as her cue to leave Riko guessed as she gave some excuse about making coffee before slipping away. Riko glared at her back as the woman went, shaking her head. She turned back to Mercy and Elle her expression softening when she laid her eyes on the latter. "How did you sleep? She asked aloud, the question intended for Mercy. (I bet. Riko is a lot colder than I intended to make her lol.)

(Meh, I like it.)
One of the perks of being a werewolf: quick recovery from hangovers. Although Mercy still felt uncomfortable, her condition had improved greatly since her rude awakening. But her thinking was just impaired enough that when Riko asked her how she had slept, she became a tiny bit paranoid. Was this a test? Was Riko trying to see if Mercy could be nonchalant about last night? It didn't feel that way, but Riko had a good poker face. And, besides, Mercy had already broken the rules. Maybe this was her punishment, a subtle reminder. "Fine, I guess," she replied. "Don't really remember sleeping, though." She grinned and chuckled. Well, if that had indeed been a test, she had probably failed it. Damn her inability to pass up opportunities to flirt! She meant it, though--between the alcohol and the busyness of the night, Mercy had no recollection of falling asleep.
Mercy crawled onto the bed and sat against the headboard, then put Elle down in front of her. The baby looked up at her, eyes still large, curious. Mercy made a few faces, trying to cheer the little girl up, and she was rewarded with a smile. "How did you sleep?" she asked Riko as she continued to make silly faces at Elle. "And what did you and Delorna talk about? She looked pissed when she left."
