Ai would have been more than happy to allow the trainers to leave her behind, but of course Kumiko turned and gleefully followed Magnolia, forcing Ai to catch up as best as she could in her high heels. Certainly the wrong choice of footwear for trekking through tall grass; her heels sunk into the earth with every step. ((Sorry for the short tag.))

"Wha? Oh, of course!" Joey replied immediately. "Lily Rose! Come here girl!" he called, whistling. Lily Rose paused, glancing over. Then, with a doggy sigh, she trotted over. Joey tried to hide his sigh of relief. Maybe he should try battling more to work out some of Lily Rose's energy? Since she wasn't responding to his attempts to be firm, he tried something different. "Hey girl. Look there! That person thinks your really pretty, and wants to take pictures! Can you sit, so she can get a good picture?" he cajoled. Lily Rose perked, looking at the person. She turned a few times, excitedly, then sat, front paws together, tail curled around herself like a cloud. Then she seemed to realize that she was facing mostly away from the person with the camera, and twisted to look back over her shoulder.

"Thank you!" Shaun told the young trainer. "I'm Shaun, by the way." Then he smiled down at the Growlithe. "Good girl! I can get a good look at your pretty back like that." He took a couple pictures from the higher vantage point on Salvo's back, then hopped down to get closer. "You don't often see Growlithes with red on them like this. Usually the stripes are black instead," he commented to the boy as he worked. Salvo stopped walking again once he realized Shaun was taking pictures again. It looked like he'd be stopping and starting a lot, with so many people and pokemon around. He didn't mind one way or another, and just went back to browsing at the nearby grasses.

Lily Rose preened and mugged for the camera, thrilled with the attention. Joey was just glad she'd stopped running around. "I'm Joey, this is Lily Rose. She's the pup of one of my mom's Arcanines, and I was really surprised when she had the different color markings. My mom's Arcanine is normal colored, so...I guess the other pokemon must have been where she got her colors from?" Joey guessed. "And she's really, really excited to be around all these people and pokemon with all this space to run around. ....Really excited." Joey sighed, looking frazzled.

Shaun paused to answer, "Nice to meet you, Joey. The big guy is Salvo," he said and he pointed a thumb over his shoulder to indicate the Tropius. Salvo looked up when he heard his name, then went back to munching on the grasses once he realized he wasn't needed. Shaun nodded at Joey's question. "That's probably true. With pokemon, if one parent is completely normal-colored and the other is completely different-colored, then the baby will always be normal with different-colored markings. If one parent is all normal and the other is normal with different-colored markings, then about half the time their babies will have different -colored markings. Which means her mom must have had red on her somewhere." That was kind of boiling down the explanation to its most basic level, but he wasn't sure how much the boy would know about genetics. With that explained, he went back to photographing. He held one hand out to one side and snapped his fingers to try and get Lily Rose to turn her head a bit more that way, so he could get a better angle on her face markings.

A screech was heard that pierced the dense forest of voices. Everyone turned to look at the girl who had screamed at the touch of the bellsprout from before, and she flushed with embarassed red. "It.... it wasn't me, this time." She ducked her head as if doing so would rid her of the stares.
Behind her, however, a yellow rattle-like shape emerged from the grass before immediately ducking back under. It came up again shortly after, further away. It quickly became clear that, whatever it was, it was moving with great speed away from the group. As if drawn to it, a handful of trainers and their pokemon gave chase to the mysterious rattle-like shape before being followed after by others.

The snapping sound drew Lily Rose's attention, and she obligingly turned her head for a moment. It didn't last long though, as just a few seconds later, a loud screech cut through the group. Lily Rose bounded up, tail whipping happily behind her. Heedless of any danger, she started charging after the new mystery in the grass. "Leash. I'm putting a leash on her," Joey sighed. "Sorry, have to go chase her. Nice talking to you, bye!" he called as he raced after his dog.

Jaime jumped at the scream, covering her mouth to prevent her own loud reaction to all that was going on. At first she didn't see what was happening, but when Doom darted from her side, barking like crazy, she saw his target: some strange, yellow, rattle-shaped potential Pokemon moving quickly from the group. "Doom!" She shouted, moreso out of concern for his safety than anything. She quickly gave chase after him and the mysterious creature.

Her excitement piqued. Like a wayward hand strumming her heartstrings, Magnolia's bosom leapt at the shrills that echoed from the traveling group. Was the immortality granter near? Would she finally get a chance to see it? The lavender-haired girl's easy steps suddenly broke out into a run in excitement; a wide smile encompassing her features. That's gotta be it! she thought to herself as she hustled to join in on the chase with the others.
Asphodel, atop Magnolia's head, fretted wildly as she hung on for dear life from her sun hat. She feared letting go and taking a tumble, but at the same time, any telepathic warning to the fourteen year old went completely ignored; swallowed up by other thoughts the girl had.

Shaun was distracted from his work by a screech. He and Salvo both looked up sharply and turned to look towards the source. Whether it was a person or a pokemon wasn't clear, but there was certainly something there. "What is that?" He wondered aloud. "A yellow rattle...maybe an Ekans?" That was the only pokemon that came to mind with such a feature, though there could be others. He looked back at Joey and Lily Rose as the two headed off. "Maybe more pictures later, then? I want to see what this is." He waved to the pretty pup (though she may not have seen) before taking off at a jog, slapping Salvo's neck as he passed. For once Shaun didn't ride his Tropius because he wanted to more move quickly, but Salvo took the cue and started after him at what, for him, was a pretty good clip. Shaun kept his camera in hand, just in case the pokemon turned out to be something quite rare or unusual.

"Wha... what was that?!" Charlotte said, startled at the scream. She looked towards Mara, who had a determined look in her eyes. "Come on, we gotta go follow it!!" With that, she darted off towards the movement in the grass.

As Magnolia started ahead, Rhei walked a little slower, adjusting to the weight of the Bellsprout on her shoulder and hoping the pokemon wouldn't fall off. For such a skinny creature, it was heavier than she had expected, but its head did look rather heavy. Rhei stayed halfway between Magnolia and Ai, not wanting to leave the older of the two behind now that her pokemon had gone ahead, as well.
A scream cut through the air, and Rhei stopped in her tracks. Rima let out a "Bell!" of alarm. When the yellow shape emerged from the grass, Rima's vines whipped toward it, even though it was far away, and one of them sliced a cut across her upper arm.
"Rima!" Leaning over to examine her arm, Rhei found a few small dribbles of blood already streaming from the wound. It was only going to get worse - she could see it opening wider, letting more out. It was more of a gash than a cut, she realized. Rima cowered into her neck. "It's okay, it was an accident," she told the grass type, but looked around at the trainers around her. Somewhere around here, there had to be a healer. Groaning at the fact that she was going to have to shout at them to get their attention, Rhei petted the back of Rima's smooth head. "If you have ears, brace them."
Taking a breath, Rhei shouted to the trainers running in the other direction. "Hey, I need a healer!" Unoderi Exit Rhei from the group~ Renekai Exit Rhei from the group~ FrostyPeaches Aaaand I believe you were looking for a patient? XD

Desdemona let out a last, mournful "Luuuuure," before gliding around behind Juno to sulk. She draped one arm over her mistress's shoulder, and her amber eyes peeped out to glare resentfully at the unimpressed Zigzagoon. "You think you're in a position to give suggestions, do you?" Juno retorted icily. "She's already lost interest in your creature, anyhow." The heiress would not allow Desdemona to be dismissed by such a common Pokémon as this. She couldn't help but crack a smirk at the compliment, however. "You are gorgeous, aren't you?" she murmured to the Chandelure, who perked up enough to manage a dark giggle. "Desdemona is descended from a long line of ghosts who have inhabited my family's villa in Alto Mare for centuries. And they have always been beautiful." Juno smiled more affectionately at Desdemona than she might ever have at a fellow human. The woman's expression returned to one of cultured boredom as Sunny rattled off the least-sophisticated pair of names possible. "Charmed," she replied, unconvincingly. Juno rolled her eyes as another commotion broke out in the tall grass over what was surely another unimpressive Pokémon. She was itching to begin the hunt for the immortality granter, preferably alone.

Zhira's ears were perked and alert as he was inspected by the larger pokemon. His tail twitched in the air with interest. When their noses touched, he purred and turned in a tight circle before pawing at Flua's nose in turn. "Meow-meowth!"
Hatch smirked and nodded. "The only time he isn't like this is when he's not feeling well, and he wouldn't step out the front door if that were the case. Big baby." He looked over at the two pokemon interacting and smiled. "Is that your militoc? He sure is handsome."
The screaming had both Hatch and Zhira wrinkling their noses, the meowth tipping his ears back. "Sure is a lot of noise. Doubt it's that immortality pokemon everyone's talking about though. I imagine it would be.. more subtle, if it even exists. ...I'm not sure I believe it's real." He looked to Mako and cocked his head. "What about you? Hoping to gain immortality or just watching everyone else?"

Becka, being closer to the main group now, heard the shriek and noticed the girl blush and deny it was her that time, This time instead of feeling irritated at the girl, she felt kind of sorry for her. She spotted the rattle like shape moving away and also followed, passing the girl that had screamed and giving her a reassuring smile as she hurried past, Raven reluctantly leaving the wheelchair-bound trainer to follow, giving chase to the mysterious thing in the grass
