Lelanna was none to happy to be brought back to the Day Care after what she thought was a rather brilliant performance in battle. She had done exactly what Kail wanted her to, and, sure, she'd needed a little help there at the beginning, but... she could have taken on all those exeggcute by herself, probably! She certainly felt she could now....
Her spirits lifted a bit when she spotted the Houndoom was still there, her vulpine smile returning as she sauntered over. "Well hello there handsome, glad to see you're still around," she remarked, though she didn't stop, instead flashing a smirk before taking off. She needed to work on her training, after all... especially after that knowing smirk Kail had given her...

Admittedly, though, training was not really Lelanna's thing. She did it with Kail, and that was about... all the training she did. The pyrotechnic was hardly in shape, but he'd managed to go on a few runs with her when he wasn't puffing joints like a chimney housing a fire or making sardonic remarks. He also put her through her paces through sheer demand. Which, at the time, was annoying, but she could commend it, and respect it, and was honestly probably one of the few reasons she listened to and respected him.
Team Imperium may have given her life... but Kail essentially raised her. She owed that to him.

Which was why she was willing to at least try and put in the effort, she decided, padding across the ground. If she was going to do this, she was going to at least do it her way, and that didn't involve any of that weight lifting nonsenes. It meant practicing her speed, her agility. If she was going to work and test her strength, it was going to literally be in leaps and bounds, in her ability to push off and take a hard landing, to leap from rock to rock without having to stop or scramble for footing. She wasn't the type to roll around in the dirt and do repetitive exercises to try and build her muscle. She was more likely to run herself ragged and then rest and maybe go for a swim, before taking a nap, and doing it all over again.
And that was exactly the plan she had, for now.

She started to speed up her jog, eyes zeroing in on the land in front of her, no longer looking for signs of the manic Absol or the tough Haxorus, or even glancing back to check on the Houndoom. She wasn't paying attention to staying stealthy, and out of Cyndaquil's sight, nor was she wary of those that might be around her. She almost welcomed a sudden attack or distraction, just so that she could try dodging, ducking, and reacting.
That jog quickly became a long strided sprint, her eyes narrowed as she swerved around a tree and headed for some rocks. She didn't know the full layout of this area-- it had to be huge, to support so many pokemon-- but she had been able to spot a few extra terrains, at least, and she was going to try and take full advantage of it.

Lelanna grimaced inwardly as she felt the strain on her legs as she began leaping along the rocks. It wasn’t too difficult at the beginning, but with some of the greater leaps, where she needed to pull herself up, and after working long enough, she could feel her muscles beginning to grow sore. She reached the top of the rock ridge, slowing to a walk, breathing heavily. From up top, she could get a much greater view of the area, but her hunt for sight seeing and individual spotting was over. She stared down at the rocks, trying to catch her breath. She could practically hear Kail’s voice in her head….

Hakuren bristled. What!? "I'll have you know that I'm a great liar! Heck, one time I convinced Arezu that- Hey, Shion, what're you laughing at!?" Shion stood with a paw to his mouth, though his face was blank. "Are you laughing at me?" Shion shifted, turning his face slightly away. "Oh. Well, I guess I was being pretty funny."
Sunny had caught him in his lie pretty easily. Hakuren stumbled, trying to come up with something to say. "Er...well...so what if I am lying? It's none of your business what-" Shion punched Hakuren lightly on the shoulder. Hakuren sighed. "We're...supposed to be...making friends," he mumbled.
Gaia seems to do that to me a lot :/ This one went through fine though!

☆ ☆【It seemed that Cyndaquil was finished with her training regiment for the time being, Sweet Belle listening to the fire mouse while she kept an eye out. She hadn’t seen Kyra yet, knowing that her Haxorus companion had likely gone off after that Absol, nor did she see any signs of the rangers coming back with the beast in their custody. Still, she couldn’t help but feel a bit uneasy, hoping that Kyra was okay or that the Absol had been removed from the premises. Of course, she hadn’t expected much from the rangers to begin with, given how absolutely incompetent they had proved to be thus far. She nodded at Cyndaquil’s comments regarding the Haxorus, saying that it explained why she trained so much if she believed that she couldn’t rely on anyone but herself. Belle looked thoughtful at the statement of the possibility of their new trainer helping to change the Haxorus’s perspective, if only a little.” Maybe she can, maybe she can’t, Irene certainly seemed t’ ‘ave faith in ‘er, whoever she is…”the Miltank responded with a slight shrug,” ‘Course it’ll take a lotta time n’ patience n’ such, then again ya don’t expect anyone t’ change overnight n’ all that.”Her eyes drifted over in the direction she had seen her Haxorus companion go off in, frowning slightly when she could see no sign of the armored dragon anywhere.” Ya better not ********’ die on me out there, Ky…”she thought to herself. If that b*****d somehow managed to kill Kyra, Sweet Belle would hunt him down to the ends of the world if it meant avenging her comrade… Pushing those thoughts aside for now, she focused on the conversation at hand as the topic shifted to Cyndaquil’s Liepard partner who seemed to still be MIA for the most part. She listened as the fire mouse said that she wouldn’t call the Liepard, whom she called ‘Lelanna’ as sneaky as much as she was sly, though perhaps Lelanna was indeed quite sneaky due to her tendencies to stay in the shadows most of the time and that she chose when to make herself known. Sweet Belle hummed and nodded at the Cyndaquil’s comment that her companion’s tendencies could be pretty annoying.” I s’ppose that’s understandable, knowin’ that they’re almost never ‘round when ya wanna find ‘em n’ all that jazz,”she agreed, feeling glad that Kyra was much too large and bulky for her to be sneaking around everywhere. How else would the Miltank be able to find her if there was an emergency? Nevertheless, the topic of conversation soon shifted towards food, Cyndaquil seeming a bit happier at the Miltank’s confirmation that they could get a meal. With that said, the two of them started their way towards the area Belle had pointed out, the Miltank moving at fairly brisk pace to keep even with her fiery companion and continue to talk. She grinned as Cyndaquil thanked her, saying that she just hadn’t been certain of if the Daycare Staff had a certain routine that they fed the Daycare’s occupants by.” Nah, from what I understand ‘tis more o’ a buffet type deal, where ya get as much as ya want n’ chow down t’ yer ‘eart’s content,”she said with a chuckle and a nod,” Th’ food ain’t ‘alf bad either, but don’t expect anythin’ fancy, this ain’t exactly a five-star restaurant.” She flicked an ear slightly at Cyndaquil’s question, asking if there was a time where Kyra was ever not serious for once, and commented that even her accent sounded rather somber.” Come t’ think o’ it, I don’t think there’s ever been a momen’ where Ky isn’t all Ms. Serious Business… Leas’ not that I know of, ‘ell, I don’t think I’ve ever seen ‘er smile even once,”Sweet Belle answered after a moment of thought,” I s’ppose that sayin’ she pretty much ‘as a perpetual stick up ‘er arse wouldn’t be that far from th’ mark. Then again, I’m willin’ t’ bet that ‘er upbringin’ ‘as somethin’ t’ do wit’ it, an’ I’m sure she can be relaxed n’ laid back if she was capable o’ doin’ so. She jus’ needs t’ be taught ‘ow, methinks.”Perhaps Kyra could be taught that she didn’t have to spend her whole life training and training until she was blue in the face, maybe that was something their new trainer could be of help with. Provided that the two of them were still alive by the time they got to her, at least… Kyra faced off against Ezio, narrowing her eyes at his statement of how she seemed quite protective and fond of the trio that she said had come of their own accord. However, before he could finish, the Psyduck managed to get the drop on him as he kicked the Absol in his side. The blow wasn’t enough to do any real damage, but it caught Ezio off guard enough to send him staggering a bit while Bao dragged the injured Shine off to safety. The Absol’s momentary surprise was replaced by a maniacal cackle, saying that no one had gotten the drop on him like that for a long time and that he was impressed by the little duck’s skill, though it was too bad that he hadn’t been able to strike harder. Once Shine was secured behind a nearby bush, Bao and York Jr. moved into position next to her as they prepared to take on Ezio. Feeling guilty that this situation could have been avoided if she had warned them prior to this, and feeling that she held some degree of responsibility for Shine’s injury, she gave them the benefit of the doubt in return. She insisted that they take the opportunity to get out of here and spare themselves any further casualties while she fended off Ezio, and get Shine the medical attention that he was in dire need of. Of course, if they still wished to stay back and fight with her, then she would not argue against their decision, but she knew that if they were smart they would cut their losses and leave before things got ugly. Bao seemed to understand the truth in her words, the Psyduck grasping his head as if he was having a severe migraine as he apologized to her and said that he would return when he and his Trubbish compatriot had found help for the ‘dimwitted pink one’, obviously Shine. And of course, Shine had to blurt out a remark while the Absol was reveling in his own monologue, and Kyra simply sighed in derision at it. She had to admit, for all his bravado, Shine was clearly not the sharpest sword on the weapons rack… Then again, it was reasonable that he was probably delirious from blood loss. Her focus went back to Ezio, however, as she issued her challenge to him, saying that they still had unfinished business. Ezio seemed to agree, saying that she’d have to forgive him, as he was no gentleman and he didn’t believe in the concept of ‘ladies first’. Kyra growled low in response, preparing to intercept him as he started to charge their way. However, instead of taking them on directly, the Absol leapt up into the trees and disappeared, his laughter echoing among the treetops. The Haxorus narrowed her eyes, she’d had a sense that he would use the environment to his advantage, knowing that Absols were as tricky as they were fast. Wind rustled among the leaves as Kyra and her companions tried to pinpoint Ezio’s location, knowing that he was surely trying to throw them off by creating a distraction. That Absol should count his lucky stars that Kyra wasn’t able to chase after him up in the treetops, her bulk wouldn’t do her much good for such a task… Nevertheless, she kept her senses alert, anticipating him to come at them from the canopy any minute now. She heard Bao’s warning as he told her to watch out, felt the Psyduck try to push her out of the way, which didn’t do much good considering she was by far much larger and heavier than he. Before she knew it, the Absol was on her back and she felt his teeth biting into her armored plating, right on the spot that had been weakened a bit earlier when his Megahorn had struck it. A loud roar sounded from the Haxorus, more out of anger than pain. She would not give him a moment to think that she was vulnerable, she would not give him the satisfaction of exploiting any weakness. She was a warrior, a capable, battle-hardened fighter, she had been trained to not show vulnerability in the face of a dangerous opponent, doing so would guarantee her death… By that time, Bao and his companion had already run off to find aid for their wounded Skitty comrade, but she knew it was for the better. Shine would likely bleed out and die if he didn’t get attention immediately, and she understood that the life of a compatriot in danger was first priority. She could hear the Psyduck’s voice in her mind as he talked with her telepathically, telling her to not die and that he would find others to aid them, and dropping her hints as he commented on Ezio’s vain nature and how much he liked to talk.” I don’t intend to, believe me,”she responded affirmatively, launching herself backwards against a nearby tree to shake off Ezio. If her assumptions proved correct, he would try to use the treetops to his advantage as a means of evading her attacks as well as trying to strike at her blind spot. She needed to keep him grounded somehow… Bao had said how much Ezio liked to talk, perhaps she could use that to her own advantage...” Vhat is it? Too afraid to face me head on, oh mighty predator?”she asked in a daring tone, snorting derisively as she prepared for what he would try to come at her with next. Ampere slept next to the pond that she had been resting at for the past… Just how long had it been since she had come here? Ah, she supposed that time didn’t matter too much as of now, Arceus knew how long she was going to be here until her new trainer finally picked her up. Yawning softly, the Electrike slowly roused herself, shaking her fur of any loose mud or water that might have gotten in it while she had been sleeping. Well, she was more or less calmed down considerably and had gotten some rest… Maybe she should take a look at what training equipment they had around here, take the opportunity to strengthen herself up a bit. She wouldn’t want to disappoint her new trainer by being weak, after all.】☆ ☆

Felix Devito's Daemon
Daemon couldn't help but notice that, as he watched the Liepard out of the corner of his eye, the feline was staring at him. Especially since she didn't even try to hide the fact. He had turned his head to look at the leopard Pokemon, but any chance at interaction was quickly crushed by one of the caretakers coming in and having to whisk the feline back to her trainer. An odd look crossed his face as he felt a little pain. She looked as if she had barely been in the area, and yet she was already meant to leave. Meanwhile, he was forced to stay behind until his trainer felt he was at a suitable level of ability. Considering he couldn't even recall being used in the last task the man performed, Daemon figured that would be for quite a lengthy amount of time.
With the momentary distraction gone, the Houndoom went back to his drink, only now realizing quite how thirsty he had been. How long had it been since he had an opportunity to eat and drink his fill without any sort of threat looming over him? How long had it been for any of his other squad mates? Or even his trainer? He had gotten a look at the man before being sent away, a moment to be told what his objective would be in training. The man had looked ragged, weary, and ill. No doubt he cleaned himself up before going to the site of his next job, but still. Something had been eating away at the man, taking its toll on his body.
As he drank from the pool, the dark beast refocused his thoughts on what he was meant to do. He had been given specific orders on what to work on, and by the nine hells and the distortion world, he was going to work on them! Above all else, speed and reflexes will be necessary. Endurance and agility come next, as our rendezvous point is some distance away from our target. Beyond that... The hellhound's thoughts were finally broken as he heard faint footsteps upon the grass approach. The canine raised his head to pick up on the direction better, then turned to see that the oddly-colored Liepard had returned.
Although he briefly questioned what reason the feline might have been sent back for, he did not voice his query. Instead, he returned the cat's smile with something somewhere between a sly smirk and a predatory grin. Before he could give a retort, though, the cat bounded off to go train, and the canine knew he needed to do the same. He watched the oddly-colored Liepard for a moment, considering the thought of joining her, but decided to pass and made his way towards the obstacle course that he had seen earlier. The rocky area the feline chose would be useful to him, but not at the moment. For now, he needed to work on raw speed and reaction time.
As he padded over, the canine noticed an abandoned egg laying on the ground. He blinked a couple of times, then padded over and sniffed at it. The sulfurous scent was irritating, but the bit of produce was not spoiled. In fact, it looked like it would make a perfect snack. Glancing around a bit to make sure no one else was going to claim the hard-boiled egg as their own, the canine saw no one even take notice. After nodding upwards slightly in what was an equivalent of a shrug, the Houndoom pawed at the egg to crack open its shell with his claws, then wolfed down the contents. A little protein will go a long way the beast thought as he swallowed the few crumbs that tried to remain hidden within his jowls, then sprinted off towards the obstacle course.

Felix Devito's Daemon
Once he reached the course, the hellhound Pokemon tilted his head as he considered what he should do. Eventually, he decided a blind run would be best to start, at least as a baseline. Of course, he had to take a few moments to fiddle with the timer so that he'd have an accurate start and end time, but soon enough the canine was at the start line in a relaxed position. He couldn't be prepared to run, as he had to expect a fight going bad, and he couldn't be tense, as tensing up in battle usually spelled disaster. No, a relaxed, neutral starting point was about the best he could hope to use for a practice run.

The canine had to wait for two beeps, but on the third he sprinted down the track of the obstacle course. The first portion was a dirt road that stretched on for a while. A few curves, both gentle and harsh, but nothing too bad. It just meant that the hellhound would have to tolerate dirt in his claws until later. Whether that was due to him digging out the dirt with tooth and nail or the course doing it for him with some sort of water-based section remained to be seen.

Ezio grinned as his attack landed successfully in spite of Bao's attempt at warning the Haxorus. Kyra roared, though she seemed more pissed than pained, though it could have been a cover to mask her true feelings. Either way, Ezio felt confident with his blow, and was about to bite her again, but before he could, Kyra slammed him right up against a tree. Ezio let out a snarl and fell off of the Haxorus, shakily getting to his feet and shooting a glare at the Haxorus as she asked if he was afraid to face her head on. "Of course no, but I'm not stupid either. Last time we faced each other head on, things got nowhere, so I'm shaking things up a little!!!" Ezio grinned and jumped back behind the tree she'd slammed him against, summoning up a Megahorn. This time however, he wasn't going to charge Kyra, this time he used his enlarged and sharpened horn to cut the large tree trunk and kick the tree so that it started falling towards Kyra, but then suddenly.....
"Tropius, grab that tree!!!" A female voice called out as the grass type flew by, using its vines to hold the severed tree upright, giving Kyra enough time to move out of the way. More pokemon rangers appeared, this time armed with their partner pokemon, and Ezio growled. These idiots again... He must have been making too much noise when fighting with Kyra and that trio of morons. Ezio felt his body and paws being grabbed with those infuriating poles and the ropes at the ends tightening around his neck as other rangers sent their stylists at him, and being held and pinned tightly in place, Ezio couldn't move as wave after wave of calming energies were thrown at him, dulling his senses and causing the agitated Absol to slump to the ground. "V-Vesper......" He groaned Natalia's codename weakly, a quiet plea as the Rangers began to drag him away.

Cyndaquil quirked her head to the side at the mention of another name. "Irene? Who's that?" she asked, trotting along with Sweet Belle. The bovine pokemon didn't have a very long stride, so the trot was really more of a... prance. Something to keep her moving at a slightly more active pace, without making her tired, or run circles around the Miltank (literally). She was on break, for now, but the endorphines were hitting hard, and she wanted to take advantage of the energy while she could.
"Well, yeah. Everything takes time, usually. Lots of time, if it's something worthwhile. Not that I think she needs to change, or anything. So long as she's not stressing herself out," she remarked nonchalantly, not aware she was maybe... talking a little overly much. She was quite chatty at times, especially when she was feeling good after a workout. She meant it, though-- she had seen pokemon just as serious as Ky that handled it fine back with the Team, but she could never personally understand it.
She nodded a bit when Sweet Belle remarked on her teammate, but blinked when she actually saw the Liepard trotting across the grounds. "Ah... there she is!" she remarked, jutting her nose in the direction to indicate where she was referring. Lelanna seemed preoccupied and already set out for something specific, so Cyndaquil didn't even try to call out to her, but she wondered if perhaps the Liepard was finally getting on her own training.
She looked back at Belle as she mentioned the food, giggling and hopping up in excitement, curling into a ball mid air, and then landing and rolling before popping back out onto all fours. "That's great! I'm getting really hungry! And I really don't want to have to fight over standing in line to get fed," she commented, prancing and picking up the pace a bit as the food came into view, " And that's fine! So long as it's edible..." Her stomach growled just at the idea of food, but she looked up attentively as the Miltank remarked again on her companion. She sweat dropped a bit at the bovine pokemon's phrase, but looked thoughtful at the rest of what she had to say, and then looked on up ahead. "Huh... funny how the same kind of beginning can still lead to so many different personalities with pokemon...." she remarked thoughtfully, nearing the food.
However, she bristled as she got closer, spotting an... unfortunately familiar face. She stared at the vulpix for all of a minute before turning up her nose- "Hmph!" -and promptly moving as far as possible to find another food dish to eat from. She really didn't want to have... anything to do with that pokemon while she was here.

Ears turned and shifted to the sound of voices, but Tria continued to remain unable to pick up their specific words. She was a little ways from the entrance, there hadn't been a lot of pokemon back here, but perhaps they were exploring? Or had played a game and ran too far. They didn't sound like a group of children, though, so, with a swish of her tail, she turned, picking up a beautiful canter to begin another leisurely path around the meadow. She would probably need to get something to drink, at some point, and perhaps lay down... but for now, she was enjoying the freedom.

She was already breathing hard, and she had barely exercised at all. She should have been able to sprint across the grass, leap up the rocks, and come to a stop with nothing more than a content sigh. Instead she had struggled to climb her way up, and was now panting for breath. Had she really slipped this far? Had she really become this out of shape. Kail wasn't the most intuitive person, but if even he could tell she needed a lot of work before she was back up to par... A thought occurred to her, and she poutingly curled to look back at herself. No, she... she didn't appear to have gained a lot of weight...

Sighing, she shook her head. Whatever was giving her away, she needed to fix it, and sitting here, grimacing over the idea of her trainer's disappointment at her slacking off, wasn't going to do it. Nor was worrying about her weight. She shifted, then leaped down, grimacing a bit at first, but then quickly adjusting her position, each leap more graceful. She turned when she reached the bottom, however, bracing herself before starting her way back up. She needed to work on her strength, and her reflexes. Her speed would be next, but she could feel the strain this put on her, strain she hadn't felt in a long while, and she would need to work on this more than anything else. Might as well start now.

She was barely able to keep herself up as she got to the top, breathing hard, her fur beginning to mat from sweat. Wonderful. The rocks weren't that high up, but the jumps she had made her efar apart, and a few times she'd barely caught it. It had been so long since she had to use so many of her muscles, and land so hard so many times. It was embarrassing. She was suddenly extremely glad that pipsqueak couldn't see her. Luckily, she knew from experience, it was partially the warm up pains. She could get herself back in shape if she just continued working, but for now, it felt like hell. Her body wasn't used to this, and it was going to make sure she knew that. Nevertheless. She shook herself, lifting her head as she composed herself, and then started back down.

The way down wasn't as difficult-- which made sense-- but her paws were getting sore as she hit the soft ground. Those rocks were rough, and even though she didn't exactly have the pads of a newborn purrloin, she certainly hadn't been scraping over rough terrain any time recently. In fact, the last time her feet got such a treatment was when she went to the Hoenn Desert with Kail for some mission or something. At least back then, she had the callouses to tough through it.
And that just meant she had to get them back, too. She would try and do this one or two more times... then it would be time for a swim, to cool herself off, and wash off the rather... unpleasant feeling of having her fur stick to her with sweat...
