Hmmm... Marx twitched his nose a little as he looked at the message, but then shrugged, putting the device back as he began shuffling through his belongings again. Meanwhile... his pokemon were actually still training. The hardest part, really, was trying to get shelter from the sandstorm. Vaporeon was glaring openly at their trainer, when she could see them, for having pretty much abandoned them to do exactly that, while they, meanwhile, had to fend for themselves, fight pokemon, and get buffeted regularly. At least Flygon was able to provide most of them some shelter, especially since she wasn't doing a lot of battling. She kept looking anxiously over at Marx, in fact....
Basil, meanwhile, had stayed with the other pokemon, though the illusion around him flickered with the harshness of the storm. Honestly, though, he couldn't believe it was even still up... how could anyone sleep through this all??

Basil glanced over as Vaporeon walked over, looking sour, still, but, for the most part, over their trainer's behavior. "So," she drawled, "Find out anything new about that... thing?" She looked loftily at the pokemon sleeping in Basil's arms, the grovyle shifting to sit down and lean back against Flygon. "It prefers to sleep? And this is like... a dream effect or something," he muttered, gesturing to himself in his illusioned form. Vaporeon seemed to give him a dubious look. "It disguises you because it's dreaming? Why you?" she remarked. Basil had to try hard not to stare at her for her tone of voice. Sometimes.... he was pretty sure she didn't hear herself when she talked....
"I don't know. Why don't you try taking it," he suggested, thrusting the pokemon forward in annoyance. Vaporeon became very still, very stiff, as the illusion wrapped itself around her. Basil watched through half open eyes. Yep... he remembered that. It was weird. You were still yourself, but suddenly you were wearing like... a skin, except that it had no substance. And yet, it moved and reacted to you, too. "You're a weird looking human," Basil remarked rather flatly. She suddenly gave him a furious glare, and it was actually kind of confusing-- not so much the look itself, but where to look. Because as a pokemon, Vaporeon was quadrupedal, and thus, she was substantially shorter than Basil. However, as a human, even currently sitting on her knees.... her 'face' was quite a bit higher. Basil smirked a little, more so at the situation than her, but she clearly took it badly, and stood, in a rage. "As if you're one to judge human appearances! You look like linguini!" she snapped, making Basil blink in response. She turned on her heel, with a Humph! and strutted off, the illusion quickly fading as she moved further away, then disappearing completely.

In fact... Yeah, it was probably time to get moving. Marx clipped his device shut and looked over, calling out and giving a big wave of his arm to get his pokemon's attention. Those who didn't see him, would get the others, and once he was sure enough were paying attention, he gestured towards where he assumed the exit was, and started walking. The path they had to walk through the desert was a short and quick one. Neither of the two girls minded the heat of the desert, but it only stood to get worse as they closed in on Lavaridge. Being the active volcano of the region rested nearby, the heat it produced sent the area into the high 1oo's in terms of degrees. Though it was to say people likely grew used to it after many years of living there. Air conditioning helped. Their first stop was likely to be the Pokemon Center to get some rest as they had to travel up a mountain to reach the city. Which wouldn't be long now.
