Beginning to work, Sayael grimaced the further she went.

She started to declaw it, found it didn't have claws so all she managed was to pry apart its... toes? Attempting to de-fur the tasil, all she managed was to pull out the clumps while the main thing remained fuzzy, and she was further upset when she attempted to use the knife on it, succeeding in only trimming off some fine hairs.

That was it.

Without sight, the sugar faerie felt, for the first time, that she really couldn't accomplish this task.

Branches drooping slightly, she chanced a glance at the other contestants and frowned at how well some of them seemed to be doing. Some even looked like they'd done this before.

Looking back at her own dish... or rather, the table... the sugar faerie decided to just lump all the dishes together and chance it on spices. At least the spices she could jacking see.

Oh Jack. Oh great glorious JACK. The spices were invisible TOO!?!?

Cringing very obviously, Sayael extended a long finger and pressed her hands into one of the jars, drawing it to her tongue and tasting it with one eye closed.

It tasted slightly spicy, but on the lighter spicy side rather than the oh my jack going to burn your tongue off spicy. Yes, she could work with this.

Setting that to the side to use in a moment, she thought twice about it and just decided to use it right now while she had the spice ready, instead of grabbing the wrong one and using it instead. That would just be a disaster.

Taking a good portion, she sprinkled it over the dish and rearranged it, putting pieces where she thought they should go. Because that totally made sense.

Reaching out for another spice, Sayael tasted this one and nodded her head. Just salty. Nothing else, just completely salty. This would go well with the light-spicy, so she sprinkled a little of it on, grimacing as the bottle slipped and added a bit more than she wanted.

Well. She'd better fix that.

Taking the first spice again (and tasting it just to be absolutely sure she had the right one), the sugar faerie smiled and added more of that to offset the salt, then mushed the ingredients together a little bit, making sure the spices would season the dish rather well.

And into the oven it went.

Pulling it out of the oven after the required amount of time, Sayael reached forward and with a clean finger prodded the skin, nodding in satisfaction as it felt done. She couldn't really tell, but by the heat it definitely felt done.

Setting down a plate, she took her spatula and as gently as she could, scooped it onto the plate as carefully as she could muster.

And then she felt something fall off. ...maybe it was some fur that fell off. Well, whatever it was, it felt light so whatever fell off couldn't have been that important, right?

Well. It was time to explain what the dish was, and as she set her pans down in the sink to clean later, she began to explain, turning the plate just slightly as if she was showing off the dish.

Crazy faeries.

"This is me Fabulous Furred Fingered Feycake. For short, if ye dinnae like long words, ye can just call it FFffffffff." She liked pronouncing that. It always got her to grin like a Cheshire.

"The pieces should be separated, tiny edible foods that ye dinnae need tableware for. It's spiced with a little salt and spice tae give it life and flavour. I hope ye enjoy." Giving a bow, she retreated to clean her pans. The dish should taste slightly salty and lightly spicy, and she definitely hoped that the dish was executed enough to their satisfaction.

Now all she had to do was wait, and bite the inside of her cheek to not show any anxiousness because no faerie in their right mind would ever show that they were worried about something. No way.

Because Sayael was totally not worried.

Totally. Not worried. Nope, not her.

HADES KITCHEN THE COMPETITION CONTINUES:

Previously on Hades Kitchen:

With only half the contestants left, many having passed, dropped, been kicked out or dissipated, only the strongest of will and mind remain. They fight to the finish in the greatest invisible food cookoff, trying to prove their taste is as good as their touch, which as they work, every step and move they make is being judged by two Halloween renown chefs.

Chef Hyde, famed for his advanced research in Moldecular Gastronomy, Vile Potions mastery, and the best-selling cookbook, You are what you eat: and that's disgusting.

Chef Gorgon Ramsay, who put the F in fear of food, with over 12 Devilin stars spanning all of Halloween, having even gone to the Human World to scare the best of the best in the culinary industry, there is nothing this chef doesn't know about food.

There were slip ups, as a lot of chefs had no clue how to prepare or handle invisible food.

*cue chefs reaching into thin air to make faces at what they grab in their hands that is also invisible

Other chefs just relied on pure luck.

*cue chefs just staring at their pan blankly*

Some chefs hadn't even noticed that their to-be meal has quite disappeared out the doorway.

Do the remaining chefs have what it takes to take the grand title as KING OF HADES KITCHEN and the prize of 250, 000 silver pumpkin seeds? Who will stay and who will be eliminated? Find out in the series finale of HADES KITCHEN here!
