Vittay watched Mei, amused at her antics of getting fruit. She wondered if Mei knew she was awake but in the relative darkness, she doubted it. Perhaps she would surprise her? But then, that wasn't the brightest of ideas considering the cannibal situation. Vittay thought it would be better just to stand up and walk over to the Japanese girl. She pulled herself off the ground, leaving her scarf behind and approached the same tree Mei was under.
"Heya...I see you got some fruit. Mind if we share?" Vittay asked crispily and cheerily.

Vittay watched Mei, amused at her antics of getting fruit. She wondered if Mei knew she was awake but in the relative darkness, she doubted it. Perhaps she would surprise her? But then, that wasn't the brightest of ideas considering the cannibal situation. Vittay thought it would be better just to stand up and walk over to the Japanese girl. She pulled herself off the ground, leaving her scarf behind and approached the same tree Mei was under.
"Heya...I see you got some fruit. Mind if we share?" Vittay asked crispily and cheerily.

But her hunger gave in a few seconds later and overwhelmed her sense of carefulness as Vittay took a large bite out of the banana. It tasted just as a banana should do and the empty feeling in her stomach was starting to subside.
