Siting down with the pair, he listened in leaning forward a bit. He was certain the tealblood seemed distressed. The yellowblood even went so far as to lean in just a bit setting his hand on the others shoulder. Much like how the other had addressed him when he had gotten hit with extreme amounts of sorrow and worry. "You look like you could use some rest friend." Stryke meant no harm by it, nor implement of weakness just a gentle encouragement before removing his hand back out of arms reach.

To Kursha he simply gave him a raised brow, and his leaning in and being so cheerful. "What all did you get done Kursha? Since you are so hung ho about asking. Oh, and before I forget. We all really need to set up some false identities or something..Dropping our name on the battlefield..is liable to get us culled." He frowned hard in consideration.

"Just some food for thought. I'm gunna go nap, I did so much running around today I might pass out sitting here. Wake me if anything exciting goes on." He moved to get up, a grumble in his tone as he shuffled away from his team mates.

Sitting up, Kursha scowled at Stryke. Way to bring down the mood. “It's none of your business,” he replied, voice testy. He did not want to admit that he had needed a nap. “We already have code names,” he protested with a grin. “You're Double 'O', and he's Blue-Suit. You can call me whatever.” He shrugged, then slumped back down over Ganyma. He was virtually in Ganyma's lap at this point.

When the yellowblood had left, Kursha resumed his interrogation. It was obvious something was bothering the older troll—his expression was tragic—and Kursha wanted to find out what. That and he simply liked to push buttons. “Nothing happened?” he repeated, putting their conversation back on track. “With a face like that, something sure happened. Did you stub your toe or something?”

His opponent did not seem very forthcoming. Kursha groaned and spread his arms out dramatically. “Come on! You can tell me! I promise I won't tell! Besides, maybe it'll make you feel better.” He tried for a sincere expression, but it was marred somewhat by the stupid grin on his face.

Stryke's contact was comforting. Kursha's however, was not. He gave a quick nod and Kursha took over -- as he did.

Ganyma frowned. How did he know? "Nothing... Look, just... I was at the mall when it exploded." His gaze flicked from side to side. "Luxara was there."

Ganyma adjusted his position and went so far as to stand up. He crossed his arms across his chest and looked at the two like a lusus warning his young. "She was with the royalists," he declared. It sounded like a warning. Ganyma's tone was rife with unrest, but he didn't sound angry. He didn't want to divulge more, (and there wasn't much more, to be fair) so instead tried to change the subject.

"I'm in charge here. Let's head out. Radio says there's easy pickin's on the hill. Shouldn't be any resistance." He put on his mask and exhaled. Better.

At Kursha's retort he realized that wasn't half bad, nor un-true. "Hmm, you sure you don't have a preference on a name?" Stryke grinned suddenly, some of that seriousness easing despite his moments of fussing. "Oh. I was just curious. Ive seen some of the radio reports of your handy work." He stated simply with a small shrug of his own.

He didn't know the troll the other had referenced briefly, whom ever it was clearly meant a lot to the tealblood.

Stryke stopped about half way out of the room, turning to look at Ganyma as he spoke up and put his mask on. His assume of command had him realizing he really didn't...have the luxury to sleep presently. "What?" he stopped turning around to look at him his eyes focused on the taller troll . Ganyma had assumed a sort of authoritative lusus-like demeanor, seemingly suppressing his emotions under those threatening tones. It wasn't lost on Stryke nor could he ignore him. "Hm. Yes sir understood. I'll get ready to head out immediately." He answered, straightening up under the commanding tone.

They had work to do; in the mean while Stryke made sure the black bandanna he used to cover his face was tied securely in the back. With that done he stood at the ready, awaiting orders, willing to follow without question.

When Ganyma stood up, Kursha tumbled ungracefully to the ground. He made no remark on it though. He was too intrigued by the tealblood's growing distress to be too annoyed. The teenager had a cheerful if naïve outlook that seemed to be irrepressible. For that to suddenly get squashed was a cause for interest. Also Ganyma had mentioned Luxara.

For a moment Kursha looked cross, but as Ganyma continued his expression turned to one of deep contemplation. Luxara had sided with the empire. What did that mean to Ganyma? More importantly what did that mean to Kursha?

He covered his mouth with a hand but behind his fingers he smiled. Luxara was on the opposite side! This was a perfect chance to show her up and grind her sniffnode into the dirt. He was so excited he almost could not stand it. He badly wanted to ask Ganyma if he had seen the greenblood since, but sensed that would be a bad idea. He would have to find her on his own.

He got to his feet. “I'm all for a little action,” he said, stretching his arms over his head. When he relaxed again, he looked towards Ganyma. There was weakness there. Kursha could sense it. “You wanna lead the way... chief?”

The journey to Swiftscale Hill was tense and quiet. Though they encountered little trouble from enemy forces, the group dynamic had shifted. While Ganyma was overcome with doubts regarding the task at hand, Kursha eyed him with predatory indifference, and Stryke struggled as he found himself caught between the two.

“Feel free to join in, Ganyma,” Kursha said in mock-cheer. He lit a stick of dynamite and without another word, hurled it into the base.

The trip had been tense, but soon Stryke was off wishing them best of luck. While Kursha and Ganyma worked on acquiring the base, Stryke set out to do what he'd become rather good at. Talking to trolls. Finding like minded trolls desperate to fight against the Empires grasp, and repel the Loyalists. sending three unique relays requesting back up at different locations, he was surprised when 12 new incoming transmissions promised their aid, and would move to standby. Stryke felt a swell of hopeful pride as he clutched his radio close.

"Listen up. I wanna do another sweep of our areas and see if we can pick up anyone else, hold your positions until further orders." With that he was off again, heading towards the library to keep up looking for more trolls willing to take up action.

"Yeah, I do wanna lead the way, kid," replied Ganyma. He adjusted his mask and the three set off. "Be careful with that dynamite. Could hurt someone."

His statement was peculiar, but it seemed genuine. He went to work erecting the base. Ganyma was a little more elusive when he was behind the mask -- mechanically picking up, placing and creating the structure of the base was second nature at this point.

Much to his amazement moving towards the Library really had paid off. Along the way he managed to come across 10 more rebel defenders who eagerly joined the cause. "Good thing you boys 'n gals showed up. One pretty site for sore eyes that's for sure." Stryke admitted bemused. With this addition he felt accomplished, data and trolls weren't exactly a like but collecting them seemed to be about the same by his standards.

Whatever the case was, when he radio'd back in to Kursha and "Green-Fire and Blue-Construction, this is Double 'O'. I've got us a couple extra helping hands if you guys want the back up." The grin his voice could be heard even over the radio. "They are on standby, but they defiantly are ready to lend a hand." Stryke took the time to slid himself down, criss crossing his legs as he chatted with his fellow Just Vigilant members.

"Get troops to the Serpentine Mansion to construct," ordered Ganyma. He turned to Stryke. "Good job, by the way. I think you're gettin' better at that recruitin' thing."

Stryke made Ganyma feel a touch better about the whole ordeal. His actions -- defending his home -- were justified, right? Right. Being on his team was at least something Ganyma could hold onto.

It's a new day! The fighting has slowed; the forces on each side are becoming tired in spirit and resource. Captain Puchen has made it her duty to visit each team in the field to "raise morale".

"Attention, troops! Your attempts at quelling the rebels have been pathetic! Surely you see that their numbers dwindle, compared to us? So why, I ask myself, are we LOSING GROUND?"

She stalks in front of your group, shooting icy eye contact in every direction.

"This is unacceptable. A disgrace to the Alternian Military. The rebellion should be a smear on the ground. I want to see each of you in the base or on the field, working your nubs off for the glory of Alternia. Do you hear me, recruits? No more of this messing around. Take them out, now."


Today's Happenstance(s):

Mapuye's Warcry applied to Royalist Troops today only:
1: Gain 1 additional action per troll, and 1 additional action per extra page.
2: Add 1D6 to all construction rolls
3: Add 1D6 to all demolition rolls
4: Add 1D6 to all recruiting rolls
5: Pick any coordinate on the map to unlock. This effect can be used once per page.
6: You can mobilize troops from one friendly coordinate to two coordinates (friendly or enemy) at once with one action.
(The effect rolled in this thread only applies to the team the thread belongs to)

Members of the Royalist and Rebel Teams can roll 1D6 once every hour in the Coastal Base or the Wooded Sanctuary thread to assist the wounded in the medical bay. The corresponding number will subtract from the number of wounded, and at 0 this effect will go away. If a 6 is rolled, a new action can be taken. These posts must be accompanied by RP text.

Each troll is refreshed and ready to go with 2 available actions.

ALSO: Trolls with the journeytroll intelligence ability: Since so many coordinates have been unlocked, many re-rolls have been necessary to get a unique coordinate. But no more! The new ruling on the journeytroll intelligence ability is this:

Each re-roll will increase in numbers by 2D6. So, if you don't find a coordinate on your first 2D6 roll, roll 2D6 again. If there are no unique numbers, roll 4D6. Then 6D6, etc. The FIRST unique coordinate unlocked will be considered the new coordinate. So: Bobbie rolled 4D6 and got 2,2, 5,5 and both sets of coordinates are unique. She ONLY unlocks [2,2].


IMPORTANT: The last official day of the Territory Game will be on Sunday. Come Monday's refresh, the mechanics of the game will cease as the scores are tallied, the threads are reviewed, and we prepare for the final phase of the meta. You will still be welcome to RP in the team threads, but please plan your actions accordingly!


Refreshers:
POSSIBLE ACTIONS ARE:

Build: Roll 1D6 to build on a coordinate that you have unlocked – the roll result determines the durability of the base. You can also build on friendly bases to add durability, up to a maximum of 30 durability. You cannot build on a coordinate that already has an enemy base on it.
Trolls with training in Construction get a bonus to their roll:
Apprentice: Roll 2D6 Journeytroll: Roll 3D6 Master: Roll 4D6 Grandmaster: Roll 5D6

Rally: Roll 1D6 to organize defenders, which can be assigned to any coordinate you have unlocked. The roll result determines the amount of defenders you have rallied. Defenders will be on stand-by until you mobilize them. Defenders are the second level of defense that can be assigned to protect a base. You must use defenders to take out defenders if you want to demolish an enemy base!
Trolls with training in Recruiting get a bonus to their roll:
Apprentice: Roll 2D6 Journeytroll: Roll 3D6 Master: Roll 4D6 Grandmaster: Roll 5D6

Demolish:
Roll 1D6 to destroy a base on a coordinate that you have unlocked – the roll result determines the amount of damage done to the durability of the base. At 0 durability, the base is destroyed. You cannot demolish a base with defenders assigned to it.
Trolls with training in Demolition get a bonus to their roll:
Apprentice: Roll 2D6 Journeytroll: Roll 3D6 Master: Roll 4D6 Grandmaster: Roll 5D6

Intelligence: Roll a new coordinate (2D6). If you roll a coordinate you have already unlocked, the roll is wasted.
Trolls with training in Intelligence get a bonus to their rolls:
Apprentice: Roll 2 new coordinates (4D6)
Journeytroll: Roll 2 new coordinates (4D6); if at least 1 of the coordinates is not unique, re-roll. Each re-roll will increase in numbers by 2D6. So, if you don't find a coordinate on your first 2D6 roll, roll 2D6 again. If there are no unique numbers, roll 4D6. Then 6D6, etc. The FIRST unique coordinate unlocked will be considered the new coordinate. So: Bobbie rolled 4D6 and got 2,2, 5,5 and both sets of coordinates are unique. She ONLY unlocks [2,2].
Master: Journeytroll effect OR select one new coordinate from another team and unlock it. You must post with roleplay in your own thread and the other team’s thread for this to take effect.
Grandmaster: Journeytroll effect OR Master effect OR… Roll 1 coordinate (2D6). If your allies control the coordinate rolled: add 5 durability and 5 defenders to that coordinate (may surpass the maximum durability/defender limit by 5). If your opponents control the coordinate rolled: it loses 5 durability and 5 recruits (does not apply if the numbers would decrease past 0). You additionally unlock the coordinate.


Mobilize: Choose one of two options:
1. Send defenders from your stand-by or a friendly-base you control to any friendly-base on a coordinate that you have unlocked.
2. Assault an enemy-controlled coordinate that you have unlocked using defenders from a friendly base. Defenders must be deployed to a base before they can assault an enemy base and cannot attack directly from your standby.

Stryke had smiled up at the older troll when he complimented his recruitment skills. It certainly had come along a-ways since the beginning, and he really did feel like he was making some kind of real contribution. "Thanks 's kinda hard..but its really important I figured." He rocked on his heels slightly, the child had done a good job hiding his identity mostly until t his point, the addition of a team uniform, and orders made it easier to go with the flow and make the best of most situations.

"Lot of trollbodiesss wanna have a crack at rising up I guess. They just need a reason to come." Stryke shrugged some, following after the tealblood. "The current order isnt right...and fighting for homes gotta count for something right? Your building skills are really coming along Ganyma! Everyones working so hard." The troll noted, complimenting in return.

The next day, data about the latest mass of defenders having arrived at the rail station. Mostly well rested, Ryk out of his temporary recuperacoon drying off the sopor slime before the child-troll stumbled out into main hall sitting down with his radio.

"I need 9 troops from 4,4 Rail Station to 3,5 Swiftscale Hill. We are going in." He radio'd in, rubbing at one of his eyes and slumping over his lusus keeping an eye on his incoming data. "Kursha, you up for some base destruction?" The yellowblood leaned over a finger poking at the greenbloods arm..very briefly before retracting his hand.

Kursha had to bite back a snarky response when Ganyma warned him that the explosives could hurt people. He wanted very much to say that was the whole point but decided not to press his luck. The older troll already seemed testy; for the time being it was better to stay on his good side. Kursha could needle him later.

“Are you stupid?” Kursha responded, giving him a friendly but rough punch back. “Of course I am. Until they get the point, we'll blow them all up! Swiftscale then?” Without waiting for so much as a confirmation, Kursha went bounding off.

Once he was done deploying troops to the Hill's location to begin work on a take down project, he took the time to go looking for more defenders. "Anytroll who hasn't joined the cause willing to join in the efforts?" The small troll inquired.

With some amount of effort, the troll had managed to win over another 14 that were on standby until further notice. With any amount of lucky he'd find more the next time he went looking.

Despite his frenzied attack, somehow the base was still standing. In fact it looked as though almost it had suffered no damage whatsoever. Kursha was not sure whether he should be ashamed or worried about potential witchcraft. He threw a rock. The rock bounced off a support beam and suddenly everything tumbled down.

“Well... that was strange.”
