Hearing her comment about her height, Musei couldn't help but laugh at her reaction, before going quiet, as he simply listened to the night, before feeling the bowl from the woman get placed into his hand, along with her warning about if he spilled it. He chuckled gently, bringing the bowl closer to his face, just letting the heat that was being radiated from the liquid inside keep him warm, before taking the spoon with his other hand and scooping some of it out, putting the spoon inside his mouth. It wasn't bad at all, and it made Musei regret not saying that he didn't want a bowl, although he doubted that the girl would have brought it up for him. Regardless, it was nice to have some, and as he put the spoon back into the bowl and handed it back to her, holding it with both hands to make sure he ran no risk of spilling it. "Here... Thanks, that definitely helped warm me up..." he commented, moving himself a bit closer to the woman, simply so that they could keep warm by being closer to one another.
"I doubt you'd punch me anyway. You really don't seem to be the kind of woman that would hit someone over dropping a bowl of soup." he responded, trying to read her and figure out what she was all about. "Although, I commend you for even suggesting you'd be willing to hit the Captain of the Military Police." he pointed out, smirking and looking over his shoulder to look at the woman, his back barely inches from hers at this point.
"That's all you're having? Alright then- don't hesitate to ask for more. Okay? I'm glad it warmed you up. I think our shirt is almost over, so then you can go and grab a shirt and cover up and what not.. "
Speaking, she felt him move closer and it made her snicker a bit that he wouldn't just come out and tell her that he was cold. It was a little obvious. Though it was a little funny- or maybe she was just used to showing off her stomach and lower abdomen. The shirt she wore was cut off just a little higher then her belly button and she was anemic- but she wasn't really cold. But he seemed to be. Maybe she was just used to the clothes she wore and the breezes of the night.
"Ha! I would hit anyone, no matter who! It's food, and shouldn't be taken so lightly.. There are families out in the outer rim that I am sure get less and less food each day. So of course I would hit anyone- especially you! Er, I don't mean that in an angry way- just- you are in the inner walls, even if you guys eat and get fed more then us on the outer walls, it should hint that some are getting less.. Does that make sense? Eh- forget it. Just, know that when it comes to wasting food, it's a big deal to me."
Sighing, Lazerith tilted her head up. Smiling bright at the sight before her.
"The sky is so clear tonight.. The stars look great.. "
Zecane watched as the other two captains went up to the roof for the first shift, he could not help but chuckle slightly and smile to himself. "Looks like Musei has a heart in him after all, huh Mr. Kitty?" he said to the grey cat on his shoulder. The cat just purred and meowed at the white haired boy, the cat seems so calm even out here. They did learn that the titans leave animals alone, just go for humans. Zecane scratched under the cat's chin as he walked back into the building, his shift will be up later and he wanted some time to examine the building now that's it is safe.
The white haired captain made his way into what appears to have been the study, or office, of the owner of the building. He walked over the old, dusty oak desk and sat down in the leather chair that sat behind the desk. He just sat there quietly, looking at the books on the desk while petting the cat. There was a lot going through his mind, yet his looked so calm and not even stressed. Zecane set the cat down his lap before picking up one of the books to look at it..

Hearing her comment about hitting him over food, he couldn't help but hold off a chuckle. It wasn't over the fact that he was laughing at those who couldn't afford to get food, but moreso that she was commenting about them getting fed more on the inner walls. "It's hard to rule over a country. Nobody will ever be happy, Captain Lazerith." Musei pointed out, looking at the woman, as he as well looked at the sky. "... It is rather nice. There are nights that I sit at the top of our wall and just stare off into the distance, reminds me of nights like this... Just not used to having anyone with me." he pointed out, chuckling slightly.
"Give the kids a few more minutes to rest. I'm starting to not feel as tired from that food, and I'm enjoying our little conversation, no matter how hostile we were to one another previously..." he smirked, looking over to her, somewhat curious as to her eyes. He hadn't gotten a chance to look at them closely before, but when he was so close to her, he was really able to tell how different and odd they were. It looked nice, though. It suited her quite well, which caused Musei to smile slightly as he looked into her eyes.
"We are both captains, in private, you can just call me Lazerith if you like.."
Looking to the sky she was happy, never did she really stay out and watch the stars or the sky, she mostly had the day duty before dealing with paper work and having to go and check most of the otheer gates and see how they were, so she didn't have much of a break before she had to go home and cook herself a meal before resting for the night..
"Kids? Haha, to some, I am still a kid to them. I'm barely even 20! My Birthday was actually a few months back.. About one or two. I'm probably still a kid to you as well- But yeah, I am enjoying this.. I think.. This is more then I have normally talked in.. A really, really long time.."
Turning back to him, she jumped, blushing. Feeling him looking into her eyes and staring.
As she seemed to get embarrassed by him looking at her eyes, Musei couldn't help but laugh, both at her comment about her being barely twenty, and the fact that she was embarrassed by him looking at her. "Mm, barely in your twenties? You could have fooled me. Then again, I'm used to Captains being older, but as of late both of the other sections seem to be recruiting them at a younger age... It is nice though, rather then speaking to a bunch of old men who have nothing else to do. I get that enough in the Capitol." he admitted, looking away for a moment before turning back to her. "If you repeat that I said that to anyone, by the way, it won't go over well for you." he warned, obviously showing that he knew that someone out there could do something to him should they find out what he said.
"Also, I'm sorry, Lazerith... I didn't mean to upset you. I was just interested in your eyes... Sorry if it came off as if I was going to kiss you or something." he spoke quickly, realizing just then how much it might have looked to the woman that he would lean in to kiss her. Even if he wanted to, Musei doubted that he'd be any good at all. Even though he was in the highest position in the Military, and he could have any woman he wanted, Musei wasn't that kind of way, not really minding them overall. Still, he wondered how the Lieutenant of the Survey Corps could gain such a reputation.
"What's that supposed to mean- Pft, I guess I look pretty young.. Don't most women look a lot younger then they mostly are..? Er.. Most. Hahha! Don't worry, my lips are sealed~.."
Moving her hand across her lips as if she were zipping and locking them, before speaking again.
"Heh.. My last Lieutenant was pretty young too- though.. Not sure what has become of him. My work started piling up as of late.. I'm a little glad to get out.. Though I am worried I'll come home to paperwork and not have much time for rest.."
Eyes growing wide,Lazerith pulled away and sat straight up, facing back to the area she was supposed to be covering. Her face was red. Both with agitation and embarrassment.
"D-Don't flatter yourself! I-I-I wasn't upset! I-I was wondering if I had something on my face!!! W-Who'd want t-to kiss you?! Besides your little Military girls.. "
Her voice cracked a bit and she pouted. Looking off to the side and bringing her knees up to her chest, getting a bit chilly now.
"Don't mention paperwork. I doubt my Lieutenant is even doing anything at all." he pointed out, rolling his eyes and chuckling as he looked at her, hearing the way her voice cracked. Although Musei might have not been good with women, there was one thing nobody could get away with around him, and that was lying. The way she reacted with how bold of a statement he had made was over the top, and her stammering only went to show that something had touched a nerve with her. When she curled her legs up into her, he smiled slightly, pulling the jacket that she had given him and gently put it around her shoulders. "My apologies, Lazerith. Understanding women is usually the hardest thing for someone such as myself. I was only saying such a thing since the moment we were having seemed too... Perfect to not have a kiss?" he commented, a sly smirk on his lips as he turned away from the woman. At this point, he was just seeing how far he could tease her before she'd try to get back at him, but part of it wasn't teasing. He needed a better judgement to figure out if he should advance or not, and this was his final test to see if she would even qualify as a possible partner down the line for him.
on entering the building wiped his nose with the back of his hand when he looked at it he saw it was blood John just wiped his hand on pants not caring to much about it an went up stairs to the room with the only window and sat on the side of the bed and took off his jacket and gear along with taking off the black ribbon that hold up his hair johns fell loose an rested on his back covring it as he sat there with his head down resting his eyes as wait for his shift to start while only hearing mumbles an foot steps from the captains on the rooftop
Giving a light groan, Lazerith flung her head back with a annoyed face.
"Lucky.. At least you have a Lieutenant.. If I do have one- they never came to me at all! Maybe I just over work myself and never notice them.. Oh! Thanks."
Pulling at the sleeves a bit, she pulled it a little lower to cover the part of her back that was exposed to the wind.
Giving a coy little smile she sighed.
"It's fine Musei.. I can call you that, right? Er, but, I understand. See, I don't understand other girls myself. Or guys. I understand myself. I don't think anyone can really fully understand a person. At least- I hope not. Because.. Then there would be no surprises and it'd kinda be dull and boring.. At least, that's my take on it. And you know what? I still barely understand myself. I find new things about every day."
She started to rock a bit as she held her legs, her toes pointed up at she rocked back and forth with her heels and her bottom. Before getting, once again, embarrassed.
All of this- it was different then her daily life of being antisocial and just going about her day- so far, everyone here has brought out such emotions from her. It made her happy.
Though- right now, she seemed more nervous.
Turning to the side and planting her hands down on the rooftop, she leaned over with somewhat of an angry pout. If, that was even a thing. Her cheeks as red as a rose, her eyes narrowed as she leaned into his face.
"Y-you're confusing me! Pick one and stay with it! D-Don't contradict yourself! You say that you didn't wanna lead me on, then you start saying that it was the perfect time- I am not sure of your character an-"
Gasping as she felt herself start to slide from the roof from her quick and harsh movement, Lazerith leaned out and grabbed onto Musei's shoulders to steady herself.

His old Lieutenant hadn't even called him by his first name, so the fact that this woman right here was willing to say that; it was bold. He smiled, chuckling lightly as she went into detail about not understanding herself. "We never truly understand ourselves, that's the biggest thing though." he pointed out to her, as she was rocking back and forth. However, as she leaned into his face to tell him off about what she had said, the moment that she had gasped, his eyes widened and he reached out, in an attempt to grab onto her to keep her stabilized. He felt her hands on his shoulder, meanwhile his hands had found their way onto two different parts of her body; one was her shoulder, which was fortunately the uninjured one, while the other was under her armpit on her other arm, just around her ribcage, in an attempt to keep her stabilized.
"Be careful, Lazerith..." Musei warned her, still holding onto her gently to make sure she remained stable. He looked at the woman, who was surprisingly closer to him, and even had his hands on her. He stared at the woman for a moment, before moving closer to her, wanting to ensure there was no chance of her losing her balance again. "Are you okay...?" he questioned, looking down at her, feeling her fingers on his bare shoulders, now with the lack of the woman's coat to cover himself up.
Holding on tightly, looking down at her feet where they just about fall over the side. Heaving a sigh of relief, Lazerith pulls her legs back up, steadying herself up on the roof once more. Finally feeling the other set of hands that helped to hold her up, she looked up at Musei. Their faces closer then before.
Taking another glace down to make sure she was okay, she hadn't noticed how she was shaking. Sure, there was a slight fear of heights in her, but normally she got over it because of the titans. But her eyes found their way back to his.
Giving a nervous giggle, she nodded.
"Yeah.. Just a little shaky... Thank you."
Lightly she unclenched her hands from his shoulders, pulling her nails from his skin.
John picked up his head suddley heared as if someone was sliding John got up from the bed and climed out the window and began climing to the rooftop to see if everything was okay when John reached the top of the roof he was a little stund at what he saw and almost fell of the roof *cough* umm captains im sorry to interruped but it's almost time for the next shift to start you two should start heading back down to rest.... John says with a some what cold tone

Not even realizing how tightly she had grabbed at his shoulders, a light sigh escaped his lips as she had removed her nails from his skin. They would likely leave a mark, but Musei really didn't care too much, his concern at this point in time was Lazerith. Feeling how much she was shaking, he frowned, obvious that she was trying to seem better than she actually was. "Don't apologize... You're probably tired. We should probably change off shifts for now..." he muttered, turning quickly to look over to the area he was surveying for a quick moment. He didn't see anything, which was a great sign, and as he turned back to look at the woman, he had realized how close they were to one another. Looking down at her, his mind had made up the right thing to say and do in the current situation. "I'm just glad you're not hurt, Lazerith."
As he finished his sentence, he let himself move forward slightly, closing the gap that was between them and pressing his lips to hers for a moment's time, closing his eyes impulsively. Letting his hand that was on her side move a tad bit lower as he held the kiss, it was mainly to make sure that the woman wouldn't lose her balance once more, a small smile was on his lips, as he slowly pulled away from the kiss and opened his eyes, unsure of if that was a wise decision to make after he had already done it. It was at that moment that the Captain of the Military Police heard some noise coming from behind him. He turned, noticing the boy that had coughed, as his face slightly reddened, as he once again turned into the man he should be portraying to everyone else. "We were giving you two kids a rest. We'll be down in a minute, Captain Lazerith here nearly slipped off the roof, so I was making sure she was alright..." he spoke quickly, not wanting someone from the Garrison to cause a scene over what had happened.

Staring into his face with a smile, waiting for him to let go- but it didn't seem that that would happen soon. Widening her eyes as Musei's lips pressed against her own, blinking for a bit and taking in what was going on. Her cheeks a violent red.
Though, she was unable to give anything back in return when he pulled back and the sound of a cough, or a clearing of a throat sounded behind them. Which quickly made her jolt and stand. Lazerith's body slipping right through the other captain's arms.
"B-Be down soon!! M-Make sure y-you had plenty to eat!!"
