"You seem nice." He answered her honestly realizing she was confused at his expression given her blink and head tilt to match his own. "Everyone does things a little differently." Even if she didn't care one way or another, he smiled at the girl just a bit. "That's all." He looked back at his net, taking his last try at the event. Yet another failed fishing attempt. Oh well, he laughed as the fish seemed to give him the stink eye and darted off before he could lift him out of the water. "alright you two, your up next when youre ready. My tries were all busts. No pressure." He glanced back at the others he'd led to the bookstore teasing them both as he directed his attention back onto Farvardin and Nik for the moment.

Lenore averted her eyes. "You only say that because you don't know me." The girl scratched idly at her cheek through her sleeve before burying her face in her book.

"No maybe not, but I'll still keep coming back and saying hi to you." He smiled softly, not fussing her too much instead letting her read as she seemed to prefer doing. Alec returned to his little group he'd entered in with.

Farvardin watched Alec play the game and quickly grasped what to do. "Well if I manage to catch one I'll put it back. No point in keeping it when I have to travel back home." She commented mostly to the girl running the booth. She then picked up one of the paper scoops and gave it a try. "Hey I said you should be a guide not a fisherman." She said to Alec as she missed a fish, "Darn. This is harder than it looks."

"Alright I'll give that to you." He frowned realizing the girl would eventually travel back to her village. Not everyone was from the outer most of the three walls, some had traveled as far as the mountains to get here. "Ha, yea they are fast little shits I'm telling you." He crouched down, bringing himself eye level with the tank sitting there with his knees to his chest watching them move. At some point he looked up at her and grinned when she'd missed her first shot and admitted it was hard.

Farvardin nodded to both things. "Yeah they are." She said. She stared at the pool of water and the fish for a minute. She then took a new scoop and tried again. "How many times have you tried this game Alec?" She almost had a fish but the scoop broke and it plopped back down into the water. "Shoot! So close!"

"Uhh...like three or four days worth of time I think." He replied to her a bit unsure, tapping a finger to his chin as his eyes went a bit wide with wonder. "I haven't kept an exact record, but enough to know I'm lousy at fishing." He sighed a little smiling from his spot looking up at Farvardin.

Farvardin's eyes grew wide when he said he had been trying for 3 or 4 days. "Wow that long?! These fish must be masters at escaping then." She said while shaking her head, "Well it doesn't look like I'm any better at fishing than you." She grabbed a new scoop and tried one last time. Once more she got a fish on the scoop. And like last time the scoop broke. Either she waited to long to pull up and the water weakened the paper too much, or she pulled up too fast and the pressure of the fish on the wet paper was too much. Either way she dropped the fish back into the water with a small splash. "Man... this is frustrating!"

"Yeah, but it's alright you can always try again tomorrow. They are, I think they are smart gold fish." Alec nodded at her, standing up and brushing himself off a bit when she was finished. He wasn't super serious about the goldfish. While they still had Nik to worry about, he was off chatting with her. "I guess if you end up having to travel back home into the mountains I'll have to come visit sometime." While he was joking initially, it wasn't impossible.

Farvardin looked at Alec and nodded. "Yeah I'll have to try again tomorrow. They must be smart gold fish." She said looking over to Nik, "Well you can have your turn now." She stepped back so Nik could move forward and try his hand at fishing. "Yeah you could come visit sometime! I can show you around and not get too horribly lost." She shot him a grin at that, "Kidding. The town made a lot of signs and markers for me to follow in town. Pretty bad that I get lost that much."

"Ooooh~" Zin said, staring at the pretty fish swimming about. "I wish I could keep one..." The girl manning the stand had even said that she'd look the other way if Zin wanted to take one, but she sadly didn't have a means of keeping it. She didn't even have a fish bowl. Oh well, catching the fish would still be fun, and she could always use new books. "Let's do this!" Zin said loudly, pumping herself up. "I'll be the best fisherman in the world!" She picked her quarry carefully and thrust her scooper into the water. Edit: "Ooooh!" Zin exclaimed, surprised that she had actually managed to capture the squirming fish. "I-- I told you I'd do it! Easy!" She grinned at the disinterested booth keeper.

Lenore gave a sarcastic clap for the girl and her enthusiasm. While it was admittedly impressive, the girl had little interest in sharing in her enthusiasm. Handing the girl a voucher for a book, she pointed to the sign that said you get three tries a day. "You can try twice more, if you like."

Zinnia nodded with determination as she put the voucher in her pocket. "I'll catch them all," she declared. She glared down at the fish once more, the tip of her tongue poking out of the corner of her mouth.
"Now!" she shouted, and plunged the scooper once more.
Edit: "Aww, what happened?" Zinnia whined as she came up empty. At least she had one more try.

"Uh huh, I think your going to get lost and I'll have to come find you!" He teased her smiling at the other. Standing beside her he puffed his cheeks up a bit at the suggestion they were smart. "No don't joke like that..they might hear you!" he stressed in a mock serious tone, gazing at the little goobers in question. Letting their third party member have his time to fish he offered to show t hem off to another location. (catching up to new day so i can play uwu we'll rp later if you want/whenever blue emotion_brofist ) Slipping into the bookstore, he smiled fondly at the memories of the other day with the variety of faces he'd met. Fetching a net to try a new Alec yawned tiredly rubbing his eye. He was certainly ready to go right back to sleep and he'd barely been awake. Being tired, he was uncoordinated and instead ended up smacking the water harmlessly catching no fish.

"Hm, okay, last try!" Zin said. "I can do it!" She chose her replacement weapon carefully. It was all down to this! If she wanted to get another book, she had to catch another fish! She had done it on her first try; surely if she repeated the technique she'd originally used, she could pull it off.
"Here goes!" she announced before plunging her hand once more.
Edit: "Th-that's not possible..." Zin said, crestfallen as the scooper came up broken once more. "O-oh well," she said, shaking it off quickly. "No need to be greedy. One book is enough!" She grinned and thanked the girl at the booth before heading back out.
