He was crouching over the water as he folded his arms on top of his knees to use as his shield in hiding behind his face. "No . . . no more . . . please." The last memory had caused so much pain to him that he didn't wish to relive anymore memories, but one more bubbled up. A glowing red hue peered over his arms to see what it could be, and he saw his past once again of him in his studies and meditation at his home. Yes . . . he wished to have more control over himself . . . he saw himself in utter silence in his bedroom; sitting on the floor in a meditative stance. Even the mere image did bring some peace to mind in forgetting what he had saw previously. His wish, really is, is to have control over himself so he may be actually social with others, and only hurt to those who hurt him and his loved ones.

[ 1. Kindness ] Waiting2Bloom decided to take one of the path, on her way, she seemed to hear light laughter of the fairies, the mythical beautiful creatures. "Come. Come to us. Come forward, come closer, it's waiting." The beckon was too strong to resist.
She found herself at a beautiful dreamy lake, in a lovely color of pink and purple. The giggles were coming from the lake. What's the fairies? "Tell us. Tell us your story." The collective voice whispered, voices of young girls laughing lightly. 2B looked at the lake and saw faces, like those in a movie. "Touch. Let us read your story."
"Lei Lei, you need to be kind to people." A gentle soft female voice said.
"Why mom?" A little girl asked, tilting her little head. "Because that's what a good girl should be." The little girl raised her head from the hug with her big round eyes looking at her mom. "Even if they treat you badly?" There were bruises on the little girl's body.
"Yes dear, even if they hurt you." The little girl was being hugged tightly suddenly, she could feel the rains from above.
"Mom?"
There was no responses but shaking shoulders.

It seemed like everything was being decolored, she couldn't see any colors around, her color vision was being taken. The sky was raining and it felt like thousands of tiny silver needles penetrated her exposed skin. People were running home or finding shelters, but not her. Her eyes were useless that she closed them and let the rain hit on her chilling feeble body.
Sometime, she just wanted to be tougher against those sharp words from him.

[ 12. Hiding ] When she was young, she used to take advantage of her tininess. She would hide up in a cupboard all the day just to avoid him. Every time she saw him would end up with a bad result. Either she got violence or stabbed with hard words that made her questioned her existence. She was hiding up again, curled up in a cupboard, only her amber eyes glowing in the dark like a alarmed animal. She peeked through the slit between the doors, heart bouncing as if it will drop out the next second.

His mind buzzed left and right as he the hound took his regular spot within a tree that sat on the school campus. Again he watched as the various students wandered to various destinations while chatting, laughing, screaming, doing whatever it was these creatures did.
Watching other helped him understand how the world works; how to interact, what certain things meant, how to be…normal.

Briar_Rose pulled her hand out of the water as if it had burned her. Her body shook with the remnant of the heavy memory. She got up to leave the lake, but some small part of her wanted to stay. She had come all this way, and it wasn't like she had anything else to go to...
"Come on!" Whispered a young ghoul from the lake. The image of her undead face smiled happily for a brief moment before becoming lost to the rippling waves. Briar_Rose felt like the ghoul had been calling right to her, so once again, she knelt on the lake shore and touched the water.

"Come on! We're gonna miss it!"
She couldn't see how. It was going to be all over the sky, after all. Still, the scareling dragged her through the small Town Square, past the last home where Old Loch lived, and through the rustling grass to the very top of Dead Man's Drop. It didn't take long for the two young ghouls to set up their picnic blanket, making sure there wasn't anything in their way of having a great time. They sat close to each other to ward off the evening chill and looked to the glittering sky.
"Here it comes!" Annalise exclaimed in sheer delight. Sure enough, a bright light streaked across the sky. A second one joined it, followed by another, and then more, as the meteor shower created hundreds of shooting stars. The pink witch stared in awe as the lights rained throughout the emptiness overhead and illuminated the ground below. She then looked to her friend, and noticed her eyes were shut tight.
"What are you doing?" She asked curiously.
"Making a wish. Maybe my mom can come home early from her business trip." She opened her eyes and grinned. "What are you going to wish for?"
She looked up at the stars and imagined them to be a hundred messengers of hope and light. Could they really grant wishes?
"I don't know."

It was a lake quite devoid of angry willows, and for that at least she was grateful. There were others she could see in the distance- and normally she would approach them, perhaps find out who they were, but this time the shimmering surface of the lake held her attention tightly in its grasp.
Crouching, she dipped her hand in the water, watched the ripples across the surface reveal an image of an old, dusty room, long forgotten.
Of course the closet was empty. Of course the space under the bed was empty. That wasn't where they lived; and how else could she explain it, when they wouldn't listen anyway?
You could dismantle the furniture, you could throw everything out, and they would still be there. They would always be there, skittering across the ceiling, shadows whispering into your ears, they would come out of the walls and they would rake their nails across the floors and you would never believe me, not with your eyes blinded by the haze of alcohol.

With a gasp she tore herself away from the banks of the lake. It hurt to remember, and she hated it, for the illusion of peace and serenity those calm waters brought; in the end, only hurt lay below the surface.
It wasn't all that hard to live like a ghost; the worst part was the living, because she should have died back there, would have died from those horrible judgement calls she'd made, and instead she had to live, now, with all of this shame and guilt.
They were alive, she'd heard; she had been the last to leave the infirmary, limping down the hallways in the middle of the night to her dorm room, where she relived it over and over again: the sounds of their screams, the wriggling parasites, the sickening smell of blood.
And this time too, she couldn't move- couldn't do anything but lie in bed, under a pile of blankets, hiding.

There were no photographs of them together but one- tucked away safely in an album somewhere in a box in the basement.
New Year's Eve and they had gone to Times Square, for the first and last time- they were still smiling, then, holding hands, wearing identical dresses and identical shoes.
She'd seen enough for today, maybe for the rest of her lifetime. Standing up abruptly, she turned away and fled.

Wykid was never big on wishes. Most of the time, in her experience, wishing produced nothing. Not like science or alchemy where there was always some sort of result. Whether it was a result you wanted or one....not so wanted.
In the end wishes just felt like such a waste of energy. Energy that could be used for other things.
Although years back when she was just a baby Alchemist she tried an experiment with wishes. Basically one small group were told to focus on one wish, to put all thought and energy into this one wish. To make it a good one, one that would forever change their lives. Something they wanted with all their being.
The second group was to make a wish and then go about their lives, hardly to ever focus on the wish again. They were told to make it something superficial. Like for rain or a new set of pottery. Something that wasn't really life changing but something mundane so that they wouldn't focus on it too much.
In the end the results were to be expected. The first group had wished for fantastical things, so even if they did put all their thought and energy into that wish it just would never come true unless their wish was magicked into existence. As for the second group well, anyone could go buy a new set of pots and the rains came and went on a timely manner.
So perhaps wishing too hard was detrimental to wishes. But Wykid could not measure wishes so the experiment was tossed.

Yeah, their encounters were rarely of the positive nature. They fought. They challenged each other. They threw around names and accusations, but it worked for them. They enjoyed the battle of words and wits, with no need to actually get physical. Okay, so maybe items would be thrown here and there, and there might be chases, but it worked.
It was fun.
It gave him hope that things would be okay.
He was learning. He was making friends. He was finding his place.

Death had never been a favorite topic to touch upon. Wykid was still reeling from the fall of her home. The death of half her family, her friends. Inside she was shattered mess while she projected a sense of calm on the outside. There were others more important to her now, that needed her to be strong now, than for her to just fall to pieces.
She had spent a lot of time alone after the fall of the Famine Island, wandering the human world. Trying to find any trace of where others had gone. The loss of her family weighed heavy on her mind then as it still does now.
Not sleeping for days, barely eating. Sometimes she would find herself waking up from a deep sleep with tears rolling down her dark colored cheeks. It was a startling thing, she had not been raised to be this weak. Her parents had always taught her to be self reliant. But now that everything was gone, everyone was gone. She did not know if she could handle that. If she were the only one left.....what was there for her then?
But when she had finally found Na'ima after so long, the pain of death lifted momentarily. But to find her parents were not with her big sister brought back those feelings on those lonely nights. Would she never see her parents again? Had they died? Was there something she could have done?
Part of her had wished she had been on the island at the time and had not ventured into the human world that day. Maybe if she had gone home earlier than she had planned she could have saved them.
So much guilt is what death brought to the young mare.

While the refuge in Halloween town was a nice place, it still hadn't been home. When Wykid had arrived in that place everyone was jumbled together. Nothing seemed straight and the air was foreign.
It was cold. The ground so cold, the air, the plants. It was not her desert home.
But then she found Na'ima and Faiyum. A welcome sight to the lonesome mare who had been wandering for what seemed like an eternity. She had the closeness and protection of her older sister and was once again taken under Fai's wing to continue her learning Alchemy.
Fai already had a home built, but welcomed Wykid into it and there they began to create a sense of normalcy. As much as those who were severely displaced could. They had decorated the home and planted gardens around it. The soil was strange so they had to fiddle with that a bit for the plants they liked. But it was an adventure in and of itself.
It was not long after that this place began to feel like home. A different home, but a home none the less. She would have preferred the hot sands of the desert to this cold, grey land. But for now it would do. It would be home, normalcy, for now until another change came along.
Hopefully it would be a change for the better.
