Ime post 4 Ime nodded and giggled, clasping her hands together.
"Of course! I promise!" Being a child used to wandering alone (much to her mother's horror), Ime happily jogged off in search of others. It seemed that she would be running into the more serious side of things whether anyone wanted her to or not.
Bhima - not counting Bhima's attention shifted at the sound of the belch. Ah, so the little beast was here. She could imagine the entire war crumbling to defeat at the hands of that little beast. Dyakida was speaking again, though, and she politely turned back.
"I am a blade, yes. My trainer was... is excellent. She'll be fighting with us." Or, well. Fighting with Bhima. She certainly hoped that a blind sister wasn't going to stumble into battle. She then tilted her head and tried to cover it up as cracking her neck.
"What we all fight for. Freedom from new oppressors. It would be best if there were no need for war, but we don't live in so simple a world..." Did Dyakida know something she didn't? Did she have other reasons for assisting in battle?

[Biroki -> Unquin, Betoto, Mella -> Healers tent]
"Er... yes." Right. Learn by seeing, learn by doing... "Okay." Biroki began to demonstrate how to make a basic Jahuaran healing salve. "Together, they're all... um... well they work together, but when you give them a little heat, they work even better and... thats what we want." he said, showing them how to heat the pot and stir evenly, "But not too hot, because if it b-burns... its no good." he showed them how to put the warmed solution in the little clay jars and seal them off for future use. "Er, well..." he handed off the rest of the solution to a prentice, "You can take care of the rest of that..." He looked over at what Uquin held in his hand. "Oh! What's this?" it wasn't a Jahuaran root, and he'd never seen his uncle use it. "is it a t-tale root?"
Ikkio's smile faltered slightly with annoyance as, with nary the drop of a hat or a conference with her, her sister invited the boys to hang out with them and do THEIR jobs. Ikkio wasn't very opposed o the idea - more hands meant less work and less work wasn't always good (boredom sucked) but wasn't always bad either. She was not happy that Ikuri hadn't asked her, though. "Yes. Right. You can all come help." she said, batting her eyes cutely. There. Now SHE had said it. Now things were right with the world. She turned to Ikuri. She'd have to find some way to make sure that her sister knew her place as lesser of the twins. She couldn't think of anything just now, though. "I think Daddy knows their father too... Is their father Yaholo?" she turned to the twins - infinitely more interesting than her sister -"Is your Daddy Yaholo?" she asked Samoset and Kennet.
Aminah tired to relax her shoulders. This was better than pacing she had to tell herself. Worrying wasn't going to do anything but drag time. Though she wasn't sure if she minded that right now. "Well, no where in particular." Aminah forced a laugh. "To be honest, I'm just wasting time until all of this starts." She waved a finger in the air to encompass the camp and war.
"Who're you trying to find? If you don't mind me asking." She smiled to Kaalnia. "I don't know many people outside of Tale, but maybe someone you're looking for will overhear their name or something?" It was a long shot, but who knew? Everyone was so close together in this camp that someone could possibly hear their name.

Sathe (Post 3)
Sathe sat back from her position wrapping bandages. She thought that that would be enough for now. It was a good looking pile, and she didn't want to waste too much of it later. She had high enough hopes that there wouldn't be too many injuries, and definitely few casualties. It would be horrible to have to see the fallen later, and she had to shudder and push the thought from her mind. She had plenty of people to root for, and that was what she needed to do right now: be positive.
She switched sitting positions to something more comfortable and took out the salves and vials of liquid. She knew enough that she could at least make some more salves while she was waiting. The waiting was starting to get to her like it was to her Big Sister. She was feeling fidgety.

Ethelfleade: post 4: Kaalnia, Aminah
"I can see why you're having problems then!" Ethelfleade exclaimed. How in the world should one person be able to find 4 different people by only knowing their names? Like the Alkidike had said, finding a leaf on a tree. "Unfortunately, none of the names sound familiar to me. I'm sorry. Maybe we could try to shout the names and hope that the owners hear?" She suggested with somewhat of a smirk on her face. Fleade could only imagine how many people they would annoy with that in the process. "I am going off to war. I'm still a prentice, so I don't know as much as some of these other warriors, but I'm hoping to learn some from them."
It was then that someone bumped into Kaalnia and Fleade had to move as the other stepped back. She offered a polite smile as the other girl seemed to be taking care of it. The girl was really pretty, obviously older and more experienced than them, but really nice. "I think it would be a miracle if you could walk through here and not bump into anybody." She said with a laugh.

Luckily, little Nibby likes you otherwise she might have been as stubborn as she always is." Kelina said with a laugh after giving her sister a hug. Her hand gripped Sauron's again quickly after, as if he would get pulled off into the crowd.. Then, remembering that Sauron hasn't officially met her sister yet, though Sauron knew a while bunch about her. "Lasarra. I haven't gotten to officially introduce you to Sauron yet. Lasarra, Sauron. Sauron, Lasarra." Her face took on some heat and a little pink appeared on her cheeks. That's when she noticed the male her sister had just hugged. "Oh! Ray! It's been awhile! How have you been?" She said rather energetically.

Tahigwa's like her brother, they both get flustered around their loves. XD
Tahigwa post 4
Tahigwa leaned to the side, her hands moving to fiddle with the side of her belt, and appeared to be in deep thought. Her gaze would move to Ilyra occasionally and hop back towards where she was fiddling, creating a very nervous look. However, as the moments passed between them, Tahigwa's mouth curved into an odd looking grin, and she spun around with a sharp giggle.
"I... I love you, 'Lyra!" She exclaimed, immediately moving to braid her hair anxiously. "I've always wanted to be more than your friend... I hope you don't think I'm weird now that I told you."

(Uquin -> Biroki, Betoto, Mella -> Healers tent] Post 4
All the weird plants that the sage mixed into the salve were so new and strange to Uquin, yet he watched and absorbed what he could. It made sense - burning the plants destroyed the healing properties, but heating it up meant releasing them into the rest of the salve! Peering at the plants that Biroki had gestured to, Uquin tried to remember their names - strange as they were. He was looking at these plants, content that he was unnoticed in the safety of a group, and yet suddenly he found the sage himself speaking to him, asking him about the root that he still held idly in his hand.
Jumping a bit, Uquin blinked, then nodded his head quickly, holding the root up obediently for the older man to see. "Er... yes - it's a natural coagulant. Sir." He hesitated before breaking the root open, and revealing the spongey material inside. "Nothing as refined as the salves, sir - and it would take a large amount of it to work on a larger wound."

Yaholo post 4
Yaholo rolled his eyes at both Ruelash and Direk, and shook his head. Eh, this idiots weren't worth his time, really, but he needed to make sure that there weren't any scuffles before the actual war. He gave Ruelash a stern, but not particularly violent, look, and pointed back to where the elders were.
"You shouldn't bother getting bloody now, idiot. We're all about to be thrown into hell fire." He said. "By all means, spar now and have no energy later, I won't be the one picking you up off the ground when you're dying out on the battlefield because of how you handle yourself. Your choices are yours, I'm just trying to introduce you to basic logic."
Rastian post 4
Rastian, though listening to Hijil, was already nose deep in his books again. There was this one spell he had been trying to master and he knew he was still very shaky on it, but where was the page about how to cast it? He sighed, flipping a few pages more, before setting the book down on his lap.
"We'll, hun, we're glad to have you." He said, rubbing his eyes. "Whatever God is out there knows that we need help, if war is the answer to everything. Honestly, I think war solves little, and only furthers the suffering of all cultures. It's terrible, for both sides."
Then, he turned, placing the book into his satchel, and stood. "I'm going to check on the medicine stocks to make sure the healers who are staying behind will have enough to last a while." He said, dusting his pants off. "Would you care to join me? It couldn't hurt to have a second pair of eyes for counting's sake."

Ogbonna post 4
Oggie smiled at Nua, but it was laced with concern. Did Nua really understand what was going on? The guard grasped Nua's hand gently, and squeezed it, before pulling him back towards the rocks.
"We should catch up here!" He exclaimed, patting one of the rocks. "I'm not very sure where to find the beads you need, but maybe you can tell me why you chose to be a healer? I can tell you all about why I wanted to be a Guard!"
It wasn't that he was aiming to distract his friend from his beads, but stave off enough time to ask him some questions. He had been drilled by Enki before being allowed to wear his gauntlets, and he wanted to make sure Nua would understand the same things that he did. If Nua didn't understand the severity of war, then Oggie would just have to protect him the whole way through.

Natsu post 4
Natsu nodded firmly in agreement with Finnley and turned to give Viveka a light kiss on the forehead. "Yes, peacefully would have been so much better." He sighed, leaning his head on the top of Viveka's. "But, this isn't a perfect world, and things don't always work out the way they ought to. We should all be home right now, thinking about our futures..."
Viveka post 4
Viveka smiled as he was kissed and nuzzled into Natsu's chin, before turning his gaze back to Finnley. "The world almost took my brother from me once, just this past year..." He said. "He was very sick, but believes his well enough now to fight... I didn't argue with him because he's a Monk, and knows a lot more about healing than I do..." He paused, tears welling up in his eyes. "But... It's still terrifying that I could have lost him just a few months ago and, now, I have to go through those feelings all over again!"

(FEEL FREE TO TOSS SOMEONE AT PAHANA! I left her in the dust, poor girl. XD)
Pahana post 2 (First post was before the first NPC post, so, I can still post with her one more time before the next post) - (Exiting a storage tent)
After Tahigwa had left the tent, Pahana had found herself further in doubt. Would she be okay on her own? Would her siblings come back alive? What if she had to raise the boys on her own? She gulped of the thought of becoming the mother to her nephews and having to remove them from Andile, where they were being raised. That was the last thing she wanted to happen, aside from losing her siblings. She wasn't ready to be a mother!
"I wonder if there's anywhere to dance..." She mumbled, wandering towards the middle of the crowd.

' Gaddok: Post 5 Unsure what caught Kiyelt's eye, Gaddok chuckled, "I'm going to go find some healing supplies. We can meet back up later, okay?" he waved as he began sifting his way through tents, looking for someone who might know where he could get his hands on some basic supplies. Coming to the back side of an open square tent he came upon a familiar sight.
Keeping quiet, Gaddok snuck up behind Sathe and rested a hand on her shoulder, "Any idea where I can get some basic healing supplies?" he asked seeing full well she had everything he could use.
His heart was in his throat, palms becoming hot. There was a tightness in his chest which he associated to the fact that since he left Tale, she had been the first thing on his mind when he awoke and the sole subject of his dreams when he slept. Gaddok had many things he wanted to say; had planned to say to her, but never thought he would get the chance before the war. Now that the opportunity is here, his tongue swelled in his mouth, mind went blank, everything was just evaporating as it came to him.
Trying to cover the panic in his eyes, Gaddok put on his best smile, and prayed the conversations ahead would spark the inspiration to warm his cold feet, and free his heart to speak.

Catching up in one place was as good as catching up anywhere, in Nuawahn's opinion, and he happily let himself be led away to the rocks. La'amu followed, standing nearby to keep an eye on him. She was far more concerned. Not that she understood what was happening, but something about the situation put her on edge. Frankly, though, she was always serious, and Nuawahn took no notice.
"Thats easy!" laughed Nuawahn, the sound all too alien in this dour and doom-filled, place, not that he noticed. "To help people, of course!" he said, as if it was the most clear thing in the world. Right now, for him, it was. "Why are you a guard?"
[Not Counted][Hijil -> Rastian -> Somewhere]
"It's less two sides..." Hijil said softly, "And more like one side against many small sides come together as two... and all will be affected." she murmured before shrugging at her musings, "I will accompany you." she said. It would be something to do, and it would keep her busy for a little while longer, and out of the way of the Alkidikes. She doubted she would be much help, though, unless it really was just counting. She knew plants decently enough, but her mother hadn't really known much herblore aside from cooking and eating with them. What she had learned was what she had picked up elsewhere, scraps and pieces of information that wouldn't be all that useful.

[Not Counted][Dyakida -> Bhima -> Armory]
"Congratulations." said Dyakida, inclining her head briefly. "Our world is not simple, no, and nor are our reasons." she mused quietly, "That, to me, is an interesting, direct, and well thought out reason. Many sisters that I've overheard haven't defined their reasons for fighting beyond their duty to the tribe and their own hot blood." she held out a hand towards Bhima, "You have a rational mind... please, protect them"in my stead "...until they know what they really are fighting for?" she tried not to smile at the developments between Ilyra and her friend outside - it did not fit the mood for inside her... the... armory. "I don't want to take up too much of your time, Bhima. I'm sure there are things you would like to do before you are thrust into the fray..."
"Oh, I'm looking for a bunch of people." said Kaalnia, "Uh... a 'Rastian', a 'Yaholo', a 'Rishima' and an ' Aminah'. All half something, I think but 'Rishima' and 'Yaholo' are part Sister... Sorry, Alkidike, and... Crap. I forgot what the other ones are." she huffed in frustration. "My sister's friend, Dyakida, wants to see them. Well not, like, SEE see, because she's blind, but... You know... Meet with them, or something. Do you happen to know any of them? Because It'd be awesome if you did." said Kaalnia. She felt rushed, time crawling along her back like some sort of Obnoxious Maglardilla. "I gotta find them before they all go... out there." she trailed off, thoughtfully. "Maybe I should start shouting names... Huh. That could work." it'd be fun, too, and it'd blow off some steam.

Biroki nodded, thinking. "Well, we'll use it on the wounds we can u-use it on." he said, Everything is probably going to end up used..." he commented, "Every herb we have, every d-drop of salve, every"spongy root-thing".. one of those, every bed, and every drop of magic we have..." he winced. Here he was, rambling, revealing just how nervous he really was. "You know how to use this?" he asked Uquin, pointing to the root, "And the other T-tale herbs?"
The elder's continued to converse with those around them asking and answering questions, filling in those around with whatever else they knew and were allowed to tell before the final announcement.
It was decided between the majority of the leaders that the important news and discoveries would be dealt with with individual announcements made to their specific races. It was the common thought that it would sound better coming from one of their own, rather than just one figurehead. The leaders spread into the crowd and began to gather their members as they could.
The leaders began to speak individually to their people. Filling them in on the specifics of the situation. Scouts had been sent out over the course of the past few months, and information had been gathered. It would seem that the Obans had massive amounts of people on their territories, but it was hard to say for sure how many were actually battling in the wars. Their way of life was watched and not many seemed to be actually involved in the preparation for war, which seemed to be a good thing. It could mean that their numbers would be small.
The leaders continued to speak to their groups, cluing them in on the weapons that they used, which seemed to match their own. Tendaji was confident that their level of weaponry was matched, if not surpassed with the newest discovery of the strong metal found in the mountains of Sauti.
Everyone was being reassured that while they might not be well acquainted with their enemy, they were watching and gathering information.
----------------
Antiope, smaller than most of the earthlings around her, stood by the healing tents, her position to be for the battle. She was staying behind to rally the support and give them direction when the madness was to come to a head. "I'll be staying here to look after the support! Once the battlers have left, we'll have a meeting to assign positions." She squeaked out to the whole of the crowd.
----------------
The other leaders who were to go into battle made their own similar announcements about their positions. Enki motioned to Rayolun and brought him forward. "We welcome the enthusiasm. There are plenty of positions, and scouts will have to be sent out. Any other takers? We'll need a few more; scouts will be meeting with me by the edge of camp." Enki left the rest of the crowd to await the willing scouts.
----------------
Yansa stood with Freya and Besian, calling out to others. "We'll need archers and magic users in the rear, with all defensive battlers supporting their positions." They clued the crowd in on the strategy. "There is still some time left to prepare, so use it wisely. We'll leave in an hour." Yansa ended. Vescillea and Enlil formed their own space in the camp, nodding their heads to the other leaders and preparing to gather the magic and bow users for formation.
