------------------------------------------------------------------------ xx "OWLs easier than NEWT levels," Benjamin murmured to Morven's response about him needing to review before he became far too preoccupied to worry about studying or defending his lying abilities. His hand had already slipped down from the small of Morven's back when the door banged open and Morven pushed him away and Benjamin stepped back to see none other than the Fairy Pricness standing there in shock apparently and red faced. Benjamin raised a brow as Elsie spat out her decree on what they should or shouldn't be doing. When Morven pointed out Elsie and Dave's more in dept ventures Benjamin merely nodded quietly in agreement with Morven. And then Elsie countered and turned her attention to him. Benjamin shrugged at the mention of his Mum and then when told to get his hands off Morven, which they were when she said so, he rolled his eyes and draped an arm around Morven's shoulder, raised a brow at Elsie and then with his hand that was drapped around Morven's shoulder, Benjamin shamelessly copped a feel not moving his hand as Morven spoke up. "So, la princesa mojigata élfica was saying about where my hands should or shouldn't go?" Benjamin said with a smirk. "As for Mum... what's she going to do? And from what Dad says she's not exactly one to talk. I mean they used to use our common room couches for stuff, and Dad didn't even belong down in the dungeons. It's a tradition that Gatita and I are continuing, that's all." He paused, "Better than you and Mole-boy. From Peeve's imitation of you two going at it... yeah... I had nightmares for a week." All the while, Benjamin hadn't moved his hand from Morven's chest and ended with a raised brow and a smirk at Elsie. What could she do, seriously? It was Newlyn who was Morven's guardian, and his mother... he'd probably have to hear his yearly sex talk probably every week this summer and twice as many death threats. Benjamin was sure he'd survive. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- (1) The Prudish Elvish princess

Morven sort of suspected it was coming, but still stiffened in surprise for a moment when Seymour copped a feel on her to make a point in front of Elsie. She tried to will herself not to flush red and for the most part succeeded, leaning into his arm as he smirked, her eyes practically flashing at Elsie. To her credit, Elsie kept her expression neutral, aside from when she averted her eyes in disgust when Benjamin, from her point of view, groped her little sister purely to be vulgar, not about to let two obnoxious teens send her into even more of a fit of outrage. "I'm not sure, she's your mother," she pointed out more calmly, "But I don't think she'll be terribly thrilled to hear you're spending more time in the storeroom snogging my sister than doing any actual work." She wrinkled her nose at his last words and, apparently deciding this conversation was over, glanced down at the scrap of paper in her hand and grabbed a book off a shelf, before looking back at Morven. "You can do what you want. I sure as hell can't stop you. I just hope you have halfway decent taste." Her eyes flickered towards Benjamin before she spun on her heel and walked out of the room, calling over her shoulder, "I'll see you later at home." Morven made a muffled noise that sounded like a scream of frustration when she left, moving away from Seymour to kick a wooden box. "Merlin and Morgana, I can't ******** stand her. Her or her stupid boy toy. He hates me, which, he should, because I'm tempted to off him about thrice a day, but he's always around. Always." She had mercy on the box and relented to glare at the floor for a few seconds. "Sorry. We should have gone somewhere with a significantly lower chance of my sister walking in on us." You got your figure all nice; But the heart stays colder than ice. You got 25 grand on the bubble... And you're the one telling me, That you don't think you're in trouble! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ xx "Puta," Benjamin muttered in Spanish as Elsie left and Morven moved away to take her frustration out on the box as Benjamin began muttering further insults, that began to change out of Spanish to Guarani. "Who the ******** does she think she is?" He ended glaring at the closed door, annoyed that Elsie had suggested he was some horrid guy or something. Just because he was regularly feeling up her little sister and thinking about getting into Morven's pants on a regular basis didn't mean he didn't have Morven's best intentions at heart. There was no reason he couldn't snog or even shag Morven without being an awesome whatever it was Morven wanted to call him. He glanced over to Morven who began to speak and he sighed, leaning against one of the shelves, crossing his arms. "Or we could continue to rub in her face we don't give a rat's arse about her or that prudish bug up her bum?" He paused and then the color drained from his face and he let out a string of curses under his breath before looking to Morven, "You don't think she'd tell Mum would she... ********... well I guess we just have to be more creative." He raised a brow, "There are the tutoring rooms... or we could go over to Whizz Hard's... I bet Timmy would take pitty on his plight. Or he better." He opened the door peeking out and not seeing anyone, dragged a table and pushed it against the door . "Meh, I say that buys us some time if la puta élfica decides to check up on us again." He pulled off his shirt and then sat down on the table with a smirk, "I bet her look will be priceless when she does get around to getting back. She doesn't scare me. Revenge for her and mole-boy humping like bunnies constantly? And... I seriously need that horrid image out of my head... distract me, please," Benjamin whined to Morven leaning forward and giving her an over dramatic pout. -------------------------------------------------------------------------

Morven had no idea what 'puta' meant but was bright enough to hazard a guess or two. She was a little shocked Seymour was so angry; she would have thought he'd have laughed the whole thing off, but he seemed genuinely offended by Elsie's insinuation that he was not exactly the sort of boy Morven should be letting get to second base with her in storerooms. Morven wasn't sure what 'sort' of boy she should be letting do so; the answer from both her sisters would probably be 'none', but neither had room to talk. Newlyn's first boyfriend had been when she was twelve, for crying out loud, and Elsie's boy toy hardly counted as some perfect gentleman. Of course, Morven had never actually seen Elsie and Rat Face do anything more than snog, a lot, everywhere, heatedly, but she could assume things when they disappeared for a while, Rat Face making vague threats about what would happen to her if she came looking for them.
"My bloody parent, apparently. Just when you think you're home free in that area... I don't care what that b***h thinks," Morven said firmly, as if reminding herself, and then rolled her eyes. "She's probably going to tell your mum right now, Miss Once a Prefect, Always a Prefect. I kind of doubt your mum'd just leave the tutoring rooms unlocked after that. And you're even more delusional than usual if you think your best friend forever and ever is going to let us snog in his father's work place. Though it's not like he and Mira are using it." She tended to tread lightly when she spoke about Timmy, though, because he and Seymour were extraordinarily close, so close she almost wondered sometimes, had Seymour not taken about every opportunity possible to remind her and everyone else that he was extremely into girls.
She watched silently as he dragged a table in front of the door, wondering to herself what they would do should his mother come down here to flush them out. It wasn't like there was anywhere to go but out that door, unless, there was a back door somewhere in here, and a table was hardly going to hold anyone for very long. Maybe she was just overthinking things because she had a razor sharp memory of desperately shoving a chair in front of her door to keep her father from breaking it down to kill her. Morven forced it out of her head and laughed freely, staring at his chest. "How am I supposed to counter that?" she mock argued. "It's not like I can take off a shirt- don't even whinge about it; I wore this dress, didn't I?" She sat on the table next to him, swinging her legs, and snickering when one of her shoes almost went flying off her foot, before she finally turned to kiss him again. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ xx Benjamin was the slightest bit amused that Morven decided to give la princesa mojigata élfica the exact same title he did: b***h. Even if he went for calling her it in Spanish. And Guarani. Among a few other things. The comment of once a prefect always a prefect made him wrinkle his nose for a moment as he considered that his mother was a prefect. Benjamin shrugged, "You don't think I have blackmail material on Timmy like I do everyone else? And if he doesn't want to fail astronomy, he needs me." Benjamin snorted at the comment of him and Mira not using it, "I know. Like all they do is hold hands. It is vomit worthy. I mean they've been together for like forever and barely even kissed like once. Sad really... at this rate Timmy's going to be a virgin till he is like forty."After he had dragged the table against the door and tried to convince Morven to join him he smirked at Morven's laugh when he took off his shirt. "You could take off the dress?" Benjamin suggested, "If you want I can always take off more..." He trailed off as she sat next to him and then turned to kiss him. Benjamin smiled in the kiss, moving forward and essentially pushing Morven down onto the table and paused for a moment as he said, "Though I do prefer girls in dresses... and that one..." He half shrugged, as he propped him up with one hand while kissing her until he heard a crack and then found himself three feet away from Morven on the other side of the table bound in rope and a glare that could melt iron and probably more. "Um... hi Mum?" Benjamin said with an uncomfortable laugh. "Seymour Benjamin Ryans... I swear to Merlin and Morgana and God be my witness..." She sighed and massaged her forehead tucking away her wand and then raising a brow at Morven, "And you... I..." She sighed and glanced back at her son and undid the Incarcerous spell she cast and then picking up his shirt she held it out, "Put your shirt on. No one wants to see that.""Mori doesn't mind," Benjamin piped up. Casey Ryans glared at her son and then moved the glare to Morven for a moment and said, "I'm sure she doesn't, and I'd suggest to adjust the hem of your skirt..." She leaned against one of the bookcases folding her arms as she waited for the two of them to get adjusted. -------------------------------------------------------------------------

Morven snorted at the idea of Timothy Whitethorne having even done anything he could be blackmailed with, and then muttered, "How the hell do you fail Astronomy?" before letting Seymour push her down onto the table, grabbing onto his shoulders to keep herself up enough to still freely kiss him, even as the skirt of her dress rode up. The crack startled her into losing her grip on him, and she fell back a little against the table only to quickly scramble off it when his mother appeared. Well, s**t. Mrs. Ryans certainly hadn't wasted any time.
She wasn't intimidated by many people, but Seymour's mother was definitely among the few. Morven flushed deeply, relieved the woman's glare was mostly focused on her son and not her. At least she'd put her wand away. Morven really didn't fancy being hexed, and she scowled at Seymour when he spoke up, wishing whatever poor sense of self preservation he had would kick in and he'd at least pretend to be embarrassed about being found practically on top of her on a table by his mum.
She adjusted her skirt quickly and tightened her braid, which had come loose, before fixing both her shoes as well. She had no idea what to say. The last time she'd really met the woman she and Seymour had certainly not been a thing, despite his no doubt raging crush at the time, which he'd expressed through annoying her whenever possible. "Sorry about... being in here...," she said rather lamely. What did parents like in an apology? She was going to get yelled at anyways, most likely. She'd never really had to apologize to Newlyn much, though she blamed that partly on Newlyn, who still let her get away with a lot. It wasn't her fault she'd never been disciplined as a child! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ xx "Oh, I'm sure you will get well acquainted with the stock room soon, considering, you'll be taking over my son's job, same pay and responsibilities, nothing official of course," Casey said, arching a brow at Morven. "I'm not stupid enough to think that the moment you two find a moment of time without a watchful eye, say at Hogwarts, you will proceed however you two wish. So, I figure, while I do have an eye on my son, he can invest the time he would be working here studying instead. It is his OWL year."She turned her gaze to Benjamin who was mouthing 'don't take the deal' and 'don't listen to the devil woman' who quickly stopped as his mother's brown eyes turned on him. "I figure since you are keeping up with your studies even less than usual, can invest in all that free time you have now in studying. I'll even get a desk and sit you in front of the cash register so Elsie, Isabelle, or myself can help you with any questions while you study."Benjamin raised a brow trying to appear innocent waiting for her to go on. "And, your fired by the way, you need that time to study," Casey added. "And, Elsie is getting a sickle raise an hour every time she breaks you two up from doing anything more than holding hands. It doesn't even have to be in my shop." She paused and said waving a hand at the two of them, "As for this... well, I'll let your father handle that lecture."
Benjamin muttered a few curse words under his breath at the mention of his Dad. Edwin Ryans when he was being serious was disturbing to his son. And the lecture was not going to be fun. "Oh," Casey added, "Make that I expect all Os from you now, Seymour. Not just Es or higher. I figure if you have time to get to know the pretty girls from your house, way more intimately than I as your mother would care to know, you have plenty of time to get perfect marks. You two have three minutes to get my store room back into place and meet me out front. And, lovely to see you again Miss Vass." Smiling, she aparated out of the store room to leave Benjamin and Morven to sort things out. -------------------------------------------------------------------------

Morven was for one of the rare times in her life, entirely speechless. She ignored whatever Seymour was mouthing. Had his mum seriously just fired him and given her his job? How did that even.... She'd expected to be screamed at, not given a bloody job. He didn't even seem in that much trouble either, aside from getting fired and being forced to study instead, which his mother would probably have made him do anyways. Morven's expression was entirely blank, though she looked away when Elsie's name was brought up. Great. Elsie would probably joyfully do so. Most of this... she didn't know what to call it, it hardly counted as a rant, or even a scolding, was directed at Seymour anyways, not her. "Nice to see you you too..." she trailed off as the woman disappeared. She turned to stare at Seymour. "Did your mum actually just fire you and give me your job? My gods, she's brilliant." She'd rather they not have been caught in the first place, obviously, but Mrs. Ryans could have just banned her from the shop. Morven wasn't stupid. This could have gone far worse than it had. It probably sucked for Seymour than it did for her, but oh well. The worst thing about this would be working with Elsie. Ugh. Maybe they could somehow get opposing shifts or something. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ xx "Brilliant?" Benjamin demanded after his mother left the room and Morven was practically laughing at the whole situation, "Sure... brilliantly evil. You do realize Mum doesn't even technically pay me minimum wage, right? And how the bloody Hell am I supposed to get all Os?! Do you know how many spiders I'm getting in my bed next summer? It'll be a week at least before I can round them up..."He dramatically groaned flopping back onto the table and looking up at Morven, "And she totally isn't done with you... or me... yet. And the Dad thing... you haven't met him, but, Dad's brilliant but he's insane. Like usually it is cool but when he gets all serious... he'll be lecturing me for hours. Like more than four. And he hits me with a newspaper or sprays me with a water bottle if he feels like I'm dozing, which is easy enough to do..."Sighing, he sat up and slid off the table and began to move the table back to its proper spot, "We better go face her... and for Merlin's sake Mori," Benjamin whined, "do not get tricked by that smile of hers. Like she's seriously evil at times and when she wants to be. She's insane... scary insane. Dad and Mum says it runs in her family and she's really sane and normal compared to that but..." Benjamin shook his head and added his voice in a whining plea before he opened the door to lead the way to the front of the shop, "Don't fall for her, tricks. Trust me, she's evil."-------------------------------------------------------------------------

He says, "Oh, baby girl, you know we're gonna be legends I'm the king and you're the queen and we will stumble through heaven If there's a light at the end, it's just the sun in your eyes I know you wanna go to heaven but you're human tonight" And I've been sitting at the bottom of a swimming pool For a while now, drowning my thoughts out with the sounds But do you feel like a young God?
Aimee had just finished paying for her books. This was the first year her da had let her come to Diagon alone. She was hoping to find Caty or one of her other friends while shopping, but so far no luck. It seemed that she was destined to have a lonely summer. As if on cue, one of her books slid from her arms, and instead of smashing to the ground, with an anxiety ridden bang, a swift hand reached out and grabbed it. She blinked, and tilted her head up to meet eyes with a tall... rather cute boy. Her mind was rather frozen in place, but he just smiled at her and casually took the stack of books from her arms. "Here I can carry these for you." He offered, and all she could do at first was nod, before finally a small smile slid onto her face... accompanied by a blush of course.
"Th-thanks." She croaked out, blushing even harder at the stutter and creaky sound of her voice. But all he did was chuckled and smile at her. He had somehow managed to bundle all her books under one arm and the other was casually placed against her back and guiding her out of the crowded store. Once out on the streets, he grinned at her.
"Sorry. I don't much like crowds. I'm Derrick by the way. And what might a lovely girl like you be named?" Aimee blinked and stared at him in shock. Someone else that hated crowds?!? She couldn't believe it. She thought it was just her. "Uhh.... I'm Aimee. I'm a third year, Slytherin... at Hogwarts... obviously." And there she went, rambling off like a weirdo. It seemed like she had 2 settings. She was either quiet, scared, chicken, or a rambling weirdo idiot. But he didn't seem bothered by it, he just smiled and shrugged. "I'm a Ravenclaw. Fourth year. I thought I'd seen you around before. You hang out with that grumpy kid and the bubbly girl right? And a couple from my house if I remember correctly." Aimee nodded her head at his questions.
"Yeah Leon is the grumpy one, Caty is the bubbly one, and then there's Collin and Di from Ravenclaw." He nodded his head as if confirming what she'd said. Like somehow maybe she was wrong and he wanted to ensure she realized she was actually right. His hand returned to her back and he guided her through the street. "Come on. Lets get some ice cream. And you can tell me more about yourself. My treat." He winked at her, and she forgot everything she was supposed to be doing right then. Like buying school supplies... and looking for her friends.
░░░░░░░░▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▓▓▓▓▓▓▓███████ ooc: You know the two of us are just young Gods And we'll be flying through the streets with the people underneath And they're runnin' runnin' runnin' He says "Oh, baby girl, don't get cut on my edges I'm the king of everything and oh, my tongue is a weapon There's a light in the crack that's seperating your thighs And if you wanna go to heaven you should me tonight But do you feel like a young God?

✺Ƭнιя∂ Ƴєαя Rανєηcℓαω✺ ✺Sα∂ιє✺ Connor was spending the day with his family, though the rest were currently waiting in line at the wand shop. He had wandered to the bookshop in search of quiet, which he was lucky to achieve. The trip had involved a lot of bumping into people, since Sadie was at the grooming salon for the day. The blind boy sighed quietly as he wished he could read the books all around him. That was one of his least favorite things about being blind, that he couldn't just grab a book and read. He had to find one made special for him. Luckily, his mom had a scanner and a printer that wrote in braille, so all his schoolbooks were covered. He didn't like asking her to make a bunch of extra books, but just the few were becoming droll. The young teen sighed as he leaned against the wall, turning to rest his cheek on the cool glass of the window. He didn't know how long it would take his parents to be done at the wand shop, but until someone came to get him, he would stay put in the quiet shop. Sick of all these people talking, sick of all this noise Tired of all these cameras flashing, sick of being poised I'm headed straight for the castle They wanna make me their queen And there's an old man sitting on the throne saying that I probably shouldn't be so mean
Rowan wandered into the book shop with Abaddon draped over her shoulders. She had snuck away from her parents when they'd decided to take her school shopping. Claiming to go get her text books for the year had seemed like a good enough reason for them to let her slip away. She yawned and mussed her hair up as Abaddon snickered at her. "You just wanted to come in here cuz you saw that blind mudblood come in here. The snake hissed at her, lifting her head and poking her in the cheek with her nose. Rowan rolled her eyes at the creature and if the snake hadn't been booping her face over and over again, wouldn't have deemed her with a response.
"He is my friend. Its not weird to want to spend summer vacation with my friends."
"He issss a booyyy" Rowan ignored the snake and tapped Connor on the shoulder. "Hello Connor. It's Rowan. What are you doing here? Especially without Sadie? Abaddon says hello too."
"I did no such thing."
I'm headed straight for the castle They've got the kingdom locked up And there's an old man sitting on the throne saying I should probably keep my pretty mouth shut Oh, all of these minutes passing, sick of feeling used If you wanna break these walls down, you're gonna get bruised

✺Ƭнιя∂ Ƴєαя Rανєηcℓαω✺ ✺Sα∂ιє✺ Connor slipped out his watch, carefully feeling the hands as they ticked away the time. He seemed entranced by the device until he heard the door chime open. Quickly, he straightened up, dropping the watch back into his pocket. As he heard the footsteps and quiet hissing, the boy felt his ears perk up a bit. He only knew three people in the whole world that ever hissed in that voice. Rowan, Tiernan, and Darian Yaxley. Was it one of those girls? With an expression of withdrawl, the boy stepped back against the wall, hoping he was out of the way. He didn't want another Peter incident... When he felt a tap on the shoulder, Connor startled, not sure who was there. For all he knew, dozens and dozens of wizards and witches spoke in the hissing snake language. When he heard the girl speak, he knew it to be Rowan. Luckily, she confirmed it too, drawing a small smile onto his lips. "Hello Rowan. It's very nice to be with you again. Sadie is at the groomer's today, getting prettied up for school. And a hello to Abaddon as well. I hope I find you well in spirits?" He grinned a dreamy sort of smile, bowing his head just a bit to hide the heat in his cheeks. He'd learned only a month ago that when his cheeks warmed, all the others around could see, which meant he was a bit embarrassed by it all. The boy reached a hand out slowly, careful not to touch either the girl or her pet, but just to get a feel of their location. Being blind was difficult enough, but to be blind and to have a crush on a girl? That was just a divine trick. Sick of all these people talking, sick of all this noise Tired of all these cameras flashing, sick of being poised I'm headed straight for the castle They wanna make me their queen And there's an old man sitting on the throne saying that I probably shouldn't be so mean
Rowan grinned when he asked if Abaddon was in well spirits."She's in the best mood she ever is in so I'll say yes." She answered. The snake whom she'd raised since a baby was rather good at taking after the young Slytherin's moods and then amplifying them. It was rather amusing to the cynical girl... She was about to ask him what brought him into the store that day, when the door swung open and she glanced over out of curiosity... The curiosity soon turned to dread.
"ooh lookie Rowan itssss your mother." Abaddon teased her, booping her nose against her cheek once again. Rowan tried to put on a brave face as her mother walked over looking unimpressed with Connor. Rowan could just see her ticking the things off in her head, blind, mudblood, probably not a slytherin, and the list went on. "Hello mother... Sorry I haven't had a chance to grab my books yet... I got distracted talking to my friend... Mum this is Connor... Connor this is my mother..." She said apprehensively. The snide look crossed her mother's face once again and she turned to Rowan with an angry hiss.
"What do you think you are doing associating our good name with the likes of him?" The tone only proved to annoy the teen girl though and she rolled her eyes at her mother. "If you're going to insult him, at least do it in an language he understands mother." She snapped, crossing her arms over her chest and glaring at the older woman. Normally she would not have been so quick to start a fight, but she took insults to Connor rather personally for some reason or another.
"Fine. What are you doing with a mudblood. You are a proud Yaxley and you will not bring shame to the family name like the rest of your siblings and cousins! I refuse to accept the idea that Micah is the only good Yaxley when she is such a disgrace as it is." Rowan rolled her eyes again and stepped back so she stood by Connor's side, her shoulder brushing against his. "This isn't the 1990s mum. Purebloods and muggle-borns mingle all the time. The Dark Lord is dead, and your racist attitude is not welcome here. I don't care what you think. My sisters aren't a disgrace. Tiernan is a Ravenclaw oh how scary for you and da, and Darian traded places with a Gryffindor who gives a crap??, Ashley is not a disgrace, and Micah is a lovely girl who deserves much better treatment than what you and her parents give her. If me being friends with Connor is so awful, go away. Then you won't have to see it." Her mother's look could have killed a man, but Rowan was no man, and she did not fear her mother.
I'm headed straight for the castle They've got the kingdom locked up And there's an old man sitting on the throne saying I should probably keep my pretty mouth shut Oh, all of these minutes passing, sick of feeling used If you wanna break these walls down, you're gonna get bruised
