"Good," Alistair said, twisting a little so he could kiss Lance briefly.

"Not sick," Gabriel said, taking several deep breaths. "I'm okay now, really," he said, slowly letting go of Des.

Die Flugel der Freiheit

Lance squeaked quietly turning a ridiculous shade of red. While he wasn't opposed to the kisses, they still were in company of others who might not wanna see the two gushing over reach other. So when the kiss broke, Lance made a strangled noise and just hid himself in Alistair's neck and hair.

Gabriel might have let go, but Des didn't. "..You still look a bit pale.."

Alexandre had decided to go out tonight, which wasn't unusual, but he wasn't powered up. Rather he wore a nice dark green sweater and dark wash jeans, hands in his pockets, and a pair of black Guuci sneakers on his feet. Stepping out of one of the coffee shops which littered the city, hot drink in hand, he took a look about the gathered people who were busy celebrating this eclipse.

It didn't seem special, and really it was't, and yet the people of Destiny City were making it important. Alexandre wasn't about to ruin that, or say anything against it, as he felt like taking advantage of the atmosphere and enjoy his off night. He didn't have work and he wasn't powering up to energy collect either. He was taking the night off to simply enjoy himself. Cadha was at home, likely curled up somewhere sleeping, and Alois was somewhere - he honestly didn't know where the other had gone to.

Twisting to avoid being hit by some idiot who wasn't looking where they were walking, too busy on there cell phone, he made his way into the throng of people. A glance up at the sky as he watched the moon disappear slowly and darkness take over. And then...

Glitter? Sparkles? He didn't know what it was but he didn't like it. he'd learned that odd things, like this, always meant something in this city. With the war going on, and the magic involved, things were not normal in this city and when something abnormal happened it meant something big in his opinion. So while others were in awe, and whispering and pointing, he felt himself ready for a fight. Maybe he shouldn't be expecting a fight but he was, instinct really, because what happened soon enough were little winged rabbits. What on earth...he felt his mind come to a screeching halt as he looked up at what was above his head with little fluttering wings. A bunny...with wings...well this was certainly new. And that feeling was too and it was very much disliked as he narrowed his eyes at the poor thing, as if daring it to continue. If this thing turned out to be something bad he would have little issue in killing it. But as the feeling passed and his eyes blinked, natural reflex, the thing was gone. Where had it gone? He certainly wasn't the only person to have seen it, people were talking and whispering.

Remembering, as he had for a few moments forgotten, to pull out his phone he checked the text he'd gotten earlier from Xander. It had been hell to get here, traffic and people parcked up and down the side streets. Plus the blocks which were closed off. Finding a place near enough to park had been utterly impossible, and he'd made it worse by running late in leaving the house, but now he had Lily and Xander to meet. Opening the text he nodded his head and headed for Lily's place of employment. As he got close, weaving and twisting around and about people, he finally spotted two heads of familiar red hair. Raising a hand he called out, hoping to be heard over the people. "Lily! Xander!" Had they also seen what had happened? What did they make of it? He hoped it didn't do anything to them - they were family to him. They had to remain safe in this war.

Qiuyue hadn't been expecting the hot chocolate to fill her tummy up as much as it did by the time she was half way through the cup's content, the already cold beverage no longer appetizing as she made her way through the crowd to dispose of it in a bin when the organizers of the moon pie eating contest declared an intermission in view of the lunar eclipse taking place proper. She still hadn't gotten her hands on a moon pie yet but she wasn't overtly concerned about that since the festivities were supposed to go on late into the night. There would be plenty of time to check out the stalls later on.

Like many others around her, the moon overhead had her full attention as she counted down along with them the remaining seconds till the eclipse itself. The eclipse happened, a pretty sight to behold it was until she found her attention ensnared by something that struck her as odd, uttering a soft gasp as she took a few steps back from the queer little creature, her arms flailing from her instinctive attempt to swat it away. "G... get away..!" She backed into something or someone, the sensation barely registering in her mind before she lost her footing and finally fell on her bum. What... was that?

He squinted at the drifting shapes as they spiraled through the sky, frowning slightly. Something in the shadow of the moon? Getting closer?? Moths maybe? But he didn't think moths flew in huge groups like that... not that he really knew much about moths.

Then as they grew closer, his scowl deepened, his feet shifting in a cautious, defensive stance.

What the hell? Were they Youma? Had someone "forgotten" to let him in on something? Did they know he'd been talking to Camelot? Were they here for him?

Almost every possible suspicion flooded the Captains Mind, and he blamed this anxious distraction for the speed at which there was suddenly a winged...rabbit sort of thing right there, and the uncomfortable sensation of having something drawn out of him. For a moment, he thought it might even be his starseed, though the strange rabbit like creature was like no youma he had ever seen...

And then it was gone, as though being bumped into has caused it to disperse, and he let out the breath he didn't know he had been holding, turning in time to see the young woman finish her fall, hands batting at air.

She'd seen it too...maybe?

"You alright?" he asked, holding out a hand to help her up, though his eyes danced over the crowd around them, looking for a trace of the strange creatures.

"I swear I haven't been drinking when I ask this... did you see something... odd.. just now?"

(I will post for ********* much later, just need to get this up before I vanish for the majority of the weekend ~ <3 )

Phil had decided their route would take them to one of the vendor booths, where he was momentarily attempting to flirt with cute employee manning the station.

Ellie was not exactly thrilled about this turn of events. She was casually looking through the wares in an attempt to ignore the disgusting display of blatant flirting. It's like reading the novelization of the world's worst pick-up lines out loud, she mused.

At some point the girl pointed out how the moon was finally shaded by the eclipse, and naturally both Phil and Ellie ended up looking up.

It was an odd feeling for Ellie, if only because the full remains of the Moon Kingdom were now being masked. However, the longer she gazed, the more clear that some fuzzy specs became.

At first she assumed it was just her eyes telling her that staring at the moon straight on could hurt one's eyes. However, the closer the unexplained came, the larger it grew.

...the f*ck...? Rabbits from the Moon...?

The blonde was no expert on culture, so the irony was lost on her. However, before she even had a chance to swipe a hand at the odd winged rabbit, it had pressed a paw upon her forehead, then vanished.

It almost felt as if the wind was taken from her lungs and for a moment she had to steady herself upon a nearby table. She managed to maintain her usual tough appearance with help from that table.

Her companion for the evening was a bit less discreet about his experience "...Dude... Ellie... what th'hell was that? Am I trippin' or were those rabbits?" He looked to the vendor, then looked to Ellie as if to get confirmation.

The vendor seemed to shy away, seeming more confused than anything.

Ellie just narrowed her eyes at him. He saw it too?

However, she decided it might not be the best idea to tell him what she had seen. "...dude... I thought you said you didn't drink anything before we left.... rabbits?" A brow lofted in his direction.

"...okay... what th'f*ck did you drink before we left?"

The redhead turned slightly red before turning away. "...well I had a can of beer... but that stuff's just water..."

He kicked his foot to the ground and soon enough just moved along, since the girl he had been pursuing had abandoned him. Ellie followed, but paused for a moment to look back up to the moon.

...the f*ck just happened...? was the one question she had lingering around in her mind.

Zac took his hand and Ever took advantage of that to tug him in closer again, to wrap an arm in across Zac's shoulders, to press the shorter man's back into his chest. He was a contrast to Adira's mental image of Zac, likely. He was too comfortable with the physical contact, too careless about touching.

It was the alcohol. He was usually at least a bit more careful. And he some showed restraint, now, by not resting his chin on Zac's head.

When the odd creatures came down to touch them, Ever narrowed his eyes, a bit more blaise about it. He was drunk enough that the sting and potential panic of the moment slipped away.

"It's Destiny City. What do you expect?"

Alistair frowned slightly, gently combing his fingers through Lance's hair. "Embarrassed, darling?" He asked. "I didn't mean to upset you."

"Really, I'm okay," Gabriel said, taking a swig of water and taking deep breaths. It was an attack of paranoia of the worst sort, and something like this hadn't happened to him for a very long time. Besides, he had to have faith. If something was coming of this, Chaos was ready. They had to be.

Sheena grinned when she was picked up by Peter and wasn't at all bothered by the camera, but instead looked at it intently wanting to play with it but knowing she couldn't not at the moment. She went up onto his shoulder at his suggesting and settled there. It was probably the oddest sight to see two cats sitting upon shoulders in a crowd of people. Impressive really, to anyone who just though them trained cats.

She turned to *********> and gave her a mewed greeting before watching as Peter held up his camera to get a look at the eclipse. Her own little head turning skyward to view the eclipse before she was distracted from it by a glowing sparkle which she swatted at, causing her to fall right off Peter's shoulder as he made an attempt to catch one.

She landed a bit roughly, but no worse for wear next to Peter's net and watched as she raised it up, but frowned before looking from Peter to ********* because the thing was gone. Her glance held very brief questioning and curiosity before she remember where she was and hopped back up on Peter's shoulder.

This whole thing was making her nervous. Unlike some of the civilians around her, she knew what invaded their streets at night, and none of it was ever harmless. It was weird that they hadn't attacked though... Houma could certainly look like that, but the touch hadn't felt like power draining and she didn't see any negaverse around...

"I don't know what those were, Horatio. It kinda makes me nervous..." The teen said as she pulled out her phone and sent a text to her teammates.

Did you guys see those rabbit things? Is everyone okay? What's going on?

Hopefully everyone was okay... Maybe Orah was being paranoid, but this just didn't sit right.

She didn't have long to ponder it though, because soon enough people were brushing off the weird event and calling for more tea. A stroke was offered to the guardian as Orah got up, settling her in her seat.

"I need to get back to work for a bit. If you hear anything about what's going on, let me know, ok? We need to keep our eyes open." Maybe the cat wouldn't hear anything she didn't, but it was worth a try. Another stroke was offered before she was off, grabbing up the tray again to clear off cups and take drink oders before heading in the back to check on her brother.

Chris held out his hand for the turkey leg as requested, but watched warily as Paris pulled out her phone, not quite knowing what she was going to do. “You’re not being mean, are you?” he mumbled, although there wasn’t much he could do to stop her. They might be married, but Paris was entirely capable of fighting her own battles… battles which Chris would like to stand back from so as not to take any collateral damage.

Thankfully it didn’t seem to be much more than a rude gesture sent via text, and Chris allowed himself to relax a little. He would much rather not have an actual fight break out amidst team members.

“Paris, you’re going to miss the eclipse,” he tried getting her attention, glancing up as the sky began to darken. He shifted the turkey legs into one hand so he could (after wiping his now empty hand off on his jeans) reach out for Paris’s arm. Hey, it was the reason they were there, right? He was sure she would be upset if her frustrations at Christa made her miss the whole thing.

He knew he wasn’t the only one to see the creatures as many around them gasped or reacted as if to shoo something away from them, but Chris didn’t have much of a chance to do anything other than pull Paris closer against his side — if it was something that could hurt them, he didn’t want her in danger.

But other than the feeling of something… being pulled from them, almost like his own breath, the small animal didn’t seem to harm them.

Chris felt a vibration in his pocket, and seeing Paris’s phone light up as well, he hoped she didn’t mind that he looked over her shoulder. “Penelope?” he wanted to verify, before looking up and around the suddenly confused crowd, trying to locate their friends. “We should see if they’re okay,” he mumbled, beginning to ushure Paris in Penelope and Christa’s direction.

It didn’t take long to reach them, and Chris was pleasantly surprised to see Danika there as well. “Any idea what that was?”

One moment it was there, the next it was gone as if it was nothing more than a figment of her own imagination. Her face turned crimson from sheer embarrassment the moment her eyes made contact with Falco's and it dawned upon Qiuyue that she had bumped into him while she was engrossed with trying to get the queer creature away from her. "Yeah. Didn't land on a rock thankfully."

She nodded in response to his posed question, taking his hand and giving it a tug to get herself up before offering him a small smile for his assistance. "Thanks..." She moved to check that she hadn't lost anything important like her purse, compact and pen in the bag she had with her, shifting her hands to pat her clothes free of any dirt they might have picked up as a result of her fall before turning a curious gaze back to the young man beside her at his next question.

"Did you see it too? It's gone now though. Looked like a rabbit... with wings..."

Björn winked, "Beauty is tempting to try to flavor. "

"But were you lost? I was making my way to the pie contest, but it is not going anywhere. I could help you a moment? There are many here, and I make wide roads. Or maybe you haven't seen it yet is all? I could - "

Gasps from here and there interrupted him from offering to pick her up onto shoulder to get a much higher view over the heads of the sea of people to maybe spot what she was looking for. There was one or two people pointing at the specks, then the specks became very odd.....rabbits. The strongman tried to interpose between the girl, and the rabbits, but they were both bopped with tiny paws and then the things vanished.

Crafty little things- no good ever came of messing with spirits. "Lygtemænd? What were they? "

He looked to the girl in case she had an explanation. Surely so fair a maiden had some sort of book learning about her. She might have a better guess. "Are you alright? It felt strange."

“I'm always nice,” Paris insisted.

This was not necessarily true, as evidenced by the snide smile and wiggling finger-wave she made in Christa's direction when her teammate received her text and noticed her there. Paris was satisfied that she was, for the moment, no longer being ignored.

She had every intention of crossing the distance between she and Chris and Christa and her small group, but was prevented from doing so immediately by Chris's reminder about the eclipse and an arm suddenly sliding around her and pulling her into Chris's side. Normally this was a position she enjoyed, as she rather fancied a good cuddle, but the strength of Chris's hold alerted her that something was amiss. Paris looked up into the night sky and watched the little specs drift closer, wide eyes blinking foolishly at the appearance of such tiny, strange creatures.

She made no move to touch it. Certainly she had reason to distrust even something so innocent as a winged rabbit. But it made contact all the same. She felt a very curious sensation, one she currently lacked an adequate description for, and soon after the creature had already gone, leaving not a trace of itself but for the wonder and confusion expressed by those around her.

The vibrations from her phone snapped her gaze away from the eclipsed moon, and Paris looked down to see Penelope's text. She sent back a quick reply. (“We're fine. Heading over.”) Thus, Paris did not argue when Chris ushered her toward her two teammates and their assembled company, but attempted to remain composed as her mind began to race with a million and one questions for what she had just seen.

Paris was distracted enough by the strange circumstance that she managed to restrain herself from reaching for her turkey leg as she and Chris drew closer to Christa, Penelope, and their group.

The tone of her voice was still, however, quite sarcastic when she greeted them. “Hello, friends, not-quite-friends, and people I don't know,” she said. She stood very straight and with a tiny lift to her head, trying not to pay Christa any more attention than she did the others.

“Lovely eclipse, isn't it?” she continued, unsure who exactly had seen what, and not about to admit she'd seen a flying rabbit to people who might think she was crazy. But she shot both Penelope and Christa alarmed “the ******** was that?” looks when it seemed appropriate to do so, though Chris seemed to have fewer reservations in voicing his concerns.
