His face went red, and he cleared his throat, gripping the ladder tightly as he started to ease himself up after the Moon. "Right. Right. I'm coming."

The ladder remains firm and sturdy. No one is at the top to meet them, but further into the passage, Sasha's voice comes again, "This way, and hurry. It's getting dark soon and we'll need a secure place to stay."

Well, with that little worry out of the way, Dylon continued upward. Really, why would a sprained anything require booze to heal? Once he reached the top, no one seemed to be there. But it was a narrow passage after all, Who could stay there long? That would involve blocking their way in. After all, Sasha was urging them on.
"Take it easy back there, okay man?" Dylon called back, edging his way through the passage.

"You... you too!" Jerry was relieved, at least, but something wasn't sitting well. Maybe it was those bottles laying forgotten below them. Well, with the ladder maybe he could come back later and-
No. Roar growled.
He sighed and concentrated on his slow ascent. Crawling through the tunnel was even more of a hassle, and he took a moment to catch his breath. "WASH!" he called ahead, "Is there a... a broom or something out there? Evan?"

"Jerry, why do you need a broom?" Sasha's voice was irritable with impatience. "We can find one once we get you out of there, we've wasted enough time here as it is."

"A... broom?" Dylon quirked a brow in the dark, wincing as Sasha reprimanded him. Just how long was this passage again? He didn't recall how long it took before the fall.
"Let's go, Jer." He assured him, trying to hurry through the passage. Sasha didn't seem like the patient sort.

Elsewhere, Wash bundled up his own rope ladder and transferred the penlight from his mouth to his hand. He couldn't resist flashing the tiny light into the hole once he'd gotten the thing tucked under an arm.
A peek wouldn't hurt, right?
"I got it," he called back belatedly. "Comin' out in a second."

Letting out a breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding, Sasha wasn't sure whether she should feel relieved or worried that nothing had gone awry.
"I'm still here, everything's quiet," she called back in a hushed voice. "Do you need help?"

Jerry only frowned more when only Sasha replied. "I think you know why... EVAN! You out there??" he slowed his crawling, trying to think.

"Evan's busy grabbing a ******** broom, Jerry," you could practically hear Sasha rolling her eyes.
In the kitchen all had been silent for quite some time.

"Jerry I think you're making her mad." Dylon frowned, practically ducking his head in shame for Jerry's sake. "We're almost there, Sasha." He hoped so anyway,
Jerry seemed to be taking his time though.
"Why a broom, Jerry? Am I missing something?"

"For a crutch," Jerry hissed, grabbing Dylon's ankle to slow him down, "What did I give you last Chanukah?" He shouted suddenly. This didn't feel right. Wash would have shouted something witty. Sasha wouldn't have left him on his own. And she hadn't said anything about the singing...
Maybe she didn't hear it. She wasn't down there.

"Oh.. I see. Sorry, Jerry." Dylon called back, grimacing. He stopped as Jerry grabbed his ankle, looking back at the other man with worry. "Jerry what's wrong?"
Then Sasha screamed.
"Jerry! What's wrong? We gotta go!" But he needed Jerry to let him go.

The sudden shout made him release Dylon's ankle, flinching back a moment, "What, what happened??" While he was being paranoid, something was happening, "Is it that singing girl??"
